I like Marco' s Pizza. They'll take our orders in English or Spanish: they're friendly, polite, and fast. Days when you don't feel like cooking, Marco' s Pizza with their awesome salads are the way to go--especially on days you haven't gone exercising of for a long walk. NJ pizza is its own kind of thing, and their sauce is just right: not too sweet, nor too salty. The bread crust is fantastic and a bit of dip in Alfredo or regular sauce lets you not waste the food like our grandmothers taught us not to do. After all, we have people in today's world who do not get to eat any more--imagine being subjected to that by those who also received blessings from The Lord. Perhaps we can have proceedings go to charitable causes--who knows--good places do exist that care about the well being of fellow humans, globally, not just locally. The chicken was prepared very well, and the grandma sauce was delicious. The fries that came with meal tasted very food. I will order from here if I am around this place. In New Jersey it's easy to be a pizza snob with authentic goodness being spun on virtually every street corner. Yet, the chain pizza joints who have captive audiences in flyover country continue to inexplicably thrive and prosper within the east coast pizzaria mecca. Inconceivable. That said, Marco's ain't bad. No, it's not quite up to the bespoke goodness of a foldable Neapolitan but it had taste and was downright lavish with the pepperoni. Not only was I surprised but more than a little impressed. So, if your goal is to procure a Eucharist wafer slathered in pizza chain indifference there's always Dominos. However, if you want a real pizza and the Giuseppe Brothers aren't available you could do far worse than Marco's. A surprising four stars in Jersey. Five stars in Iowa. read more

I love Marco's...let me tell you why. The first time I went there, my daughter was requesting a slice of pizza. I wasn't hungry so that's all I ordered. They refused to charge me for the slice. It was such a nice gesture and made me a customer for life. I recently went there for a chicken cheesesteak and fries. The cheesesteak was on a sesame seeded roll, lightly toasted and so fresh. It was the best chicken cheesesteak I've had in a long time, definitely top 5 for me. And the fries were great too (normal shoe string style). That's it! I hope you stop by too. read more

This Marco's Pizza sits in the shadow of Wildflowers on Pennington Road just north of the circle. It is easy to drive right past it unless you have an inkling it is there. It is a small shop with maybe a half dozen tables, and is designed primarily for take out or a quick bite. It has a divey feel. The guys behind the counter are friendly and know their jobs. The pizza is decent, but nothing more. The cost for a single slice with sausage and a bottled drink is just north of six bucks, which was more than expected. This being a high rent district, I guess it takes a lot of pies to make the nut every month. There is another Marco's in Newtown, Pa., with which I am very familiar. It makes better tomato pie/pizza than its older sibling. Never thought I would say that as the Bucks County disks tend to be inferior to almost any parlor across the river in Guernsey. But, Marco's is the exception that proves the rule. Average pizza. Wildflowers next door does it better. read more

I always stop here whenever I am in New Jersey. The only things I can really comment on are the various veal dinners, since that is what I always wind up buying. So far my favorite is the veal Marsala, followed closely by the Veal Parmesan. Portions are huge - if I lived in New Jersey I would wind up weighing 300 pounds due to Marco's and similar favorites in the area. Usually friendly service. The only thing I don't like is getting there. The restaurant is right near a traffic circle so getting in/out of the parking lot can be an adventure if I want to stop on the way from work back to the hotel. read more

Given the three-star average, I was (like Jake) pleasantly surprised about our experience for delivery. The guy on the phone had a slightly tough time understanding me, but he was extremely nice. The price of the pie was just about average--maybe a buck more than your average pizza. It arrived still pretty darn hot and there was tons of sauce in the mix. Based on some of the reviews I was thinking of asking for extra sauce, and good thing I didn't. The ratio was right on between cheese and sauce. As far as taste goes it has a slightly unique kick to it too. Maybe a little extra garlic in the mix. Will definitely give them another shot. read more

I've had Marco's only for catering for work but I'm not a fan of their wraps. They're a little dry and the quality of the chicken is terrible. But I do think the shrimp spinach salad is good with a good amount of shrimp on there. The pizza is decent, but I think there are better pizzas in the area. read more

I ordered delivery from here. I live in ewing. Common radius for pizza delivery is 5 miles. Marcos is 4 from me. I was not told over the phone that they would not be able to deliver to my location. It was 14 dollars for a moderately sized calzone (which didn't come with marinara sauce on the side like they said it would) and a box of damp fries. The calzone is good, which is why I'm giving marcos 2 stars instead of 1. They also did not give me any menus with my delivery like they said they would. One good thing I have to say about marcos is that there's no delivery fee. If you live in Pennington you might want to consider marcos if you're ordering a pizza. Just don't get the fries. You could tell them not to bed the fries in aluminum foil like what they did with mine, but who knows as to whether or not they will listen. read more

Didn't really enjoy take out here. The stromboli reminds me of the kinds of conglomerations you see in the hot case at 7-11. It's kind of just a soggy hot pocket. I mean it tastes OK, but it's nothing special, and it reminds me of dorm food. The tomato pie is the saltiest I've ever had, so if you don't like the typical sweetness of Jersey tomato pies, this might be your place. The outer crust is a lot denser, doughier, and chewier than lots of tomato pies around here, which often have a more crackery, crunchy outside crust. Awesome! We frequently get lunch delivered. They always show up within 30 minutes. Orders are 99% correct. If not, they quickly go back and bring back whatever was missing or incorrect. The pizza is perfection. Their crust is crisp and tastes great. I recommend the tomato pie. I've also tried hot and cold subs, pasta and salads, and I've never been disappointed.
