Home made Lemonade and guacamole. The. Best. Ever. So i've been coming here for years and this place is wonderful. Lemonade is delicious $2.50 and the guacamole is my favorite $5.00. I either get the Nachos $5.00 or cheese quesadilla w/ flour tortilla $5.00. (Both are really good) My sister and mom ALWAYS get the enchilada plate, about $7.00 and comes w/ beans, rice and salad. I ordered up the ceviche tostadas. Oh boy, I wish I would've gotten three of them, and that is not a knock on the rest of their food. Those tostadas were muy rico. I did order up the tacos -- had one carne asada and one carnitas. Those too were excellent. Rice was very good, the beans were exceptional. The only minus was that the coke was served from cans rather than fountain. I'm convinced that fountain cokes are better. Minor detail. This place is worthy of an excursion. Decided to try this joint as it is walking distance from work. Right off the bat, the customer service is the best. The ladies at the front entrance always employ an upbeat & positive attitude which is extremely appreciated. So four stars just for customer service. But onto the good stuff... THE FOOD: Not bad. The first time I ventured into this establishment I decided upon trying out their cocteles. There's an option where you can choose to mix 2 different sea food ingredients & I ended up choosing shrimp & octopus. Like I said, not bad. I went back just last week to try a regular Coctel de Camaron & it was actually extremely delicious. A bit overpriced ($14!!) but I would say they do compensate for this by providing a decent portion of shrimp. My only qualm is the measly slice of avocado they provide for take-out orders. What gives? The other entree I have had the pleasure of feasting on at this place was their 'Chilaquiles El Compa' dish. Again, not bad. Comes with a tasty & hefty portion of eggs, beans, rice & a small container of sour cream. The chilaquiles themselves were OK. A little too soggy for my taste. They get doused in the same salsa they provide with their chips. I've had this on two occasions & unfortunately it didn't get better with each try. OVERALL: Not bad, but definitely not best. If you're on a budget I wouldn't recommend eating here as it is overpriced & probably out of the sheer convenience of being the only kind of establishment of its kind in the area. Been coming here with my family since I was a child and the food has been the same, it's always been fresh, flavorful and with great customer service. It's been 14 years that I've been coming to this seafood place, and the prices are not bad at all. Despite the economy, this restaurant has survived and the prices have stayed fair. When I used to come as a child the owners were around more and they were so kind, they genuinely made my family and I make us feel at home and as one of their own. Love their lemonade. They offer a nice selection of breakfast options (huevos con machaca, a la Mexicana, chilaquiles, etc.), and all have been yummy. If you like spicy, don't miss the chiles torreados. I'm salivating just thinking of them. Breakfast is served with your choice of potatos or beans -- or you can do what we sometimes do, order the potatoes and a side of beans. We go for breakfast more often than any other meal so I have not tried too many of their lunch/dinner items. I can say the caldo de pollo is delicious. Generous pieces of chicken and lots of veggies. Mojarra Frita is good, shrimp cocktail is tasty and very filling. It is locaed in a large shopping center so there is plenty of parking. The staff is friendly and very nice. read more

Chips were a little stale. Was not too crazy about the salsa, but it wasn't bad. The cóctel, although I ordered the small, was packed with shrimp. Other places I've been to have half a dozen shrimp and call it a cocktail. No. This one was packed with shrimp. A little on the chewy side which tells me it wasn't too fresh, but it's not gonna get me sick within the hour. LoL Next time I'll try the aguachiles. Maybe that will have me giving El Compa an extra star. Oh! And I love that the staff didn't ask me every 2 minutes how everything was. One of my pet peeves. read more

I had a early dinner with a friend here and it's just ok. The service is fast, and the staff is friendly. If you don't speak Spanish, you may have a little trouble with the menu and ordering. I speak very little Spanish and pretty much had to do everything through the friend I was with. My friend had the chicken fajita plate which was a ton of food. She said it was good, but not great. I had the 3 fish tacos appetizer and it was just ok. The price was good, but the tacos lacked in flavor. The sauce isn't what you usually get with fish tacos and I would probably never order them again. I ordered a shrimp tostada to go for my brother and we were shocked at how little they give you. The tostada is $7 and they only give you one tostada shell, and a small cup of shrimp ceviche. For the price they should have give a bit more. Again, it was just ok and not worth the price at all. Overall, it's an ok place but there are much better options out there. read more
