We made a reservation because I'd heard this place can get pretty busy. Although it didn't seem too crowded when we first arrived on a Saturday, it filled up quickly throughout our meal. I definitely recommend making a reservation, especially if you're planning to come for dinner. As soon as we walked in, I was struck by how beautiful the restaurant is. Since the building was once a church, they preserved the stained-glass windows and cathedral ceilings, which give the space so much character. We ended up sitting on the patio because it was a gorgeous day, but I definitely want to come back and dine inside so I can fully appreciate the interior. The patio was modern, spacious, and completely shaded, making it very comfortable. Since it's located right next to the little lake, we also enjoyed a nice breeze throughout our meal. Our waitress was friendly and attentive overall, but there was one moment that stood out. My friend's baby accidentally knocked over a full glass of iced coffee, spilling it all over my friend's lap and onto the floor. The waitress watched as my friend cleaned up the mess herself but didn't offer to help or replace the spilled drink. Aside from that, the service was good. My friends and I all ordered something different, and everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the salmon poke bowl ($19), which was fresh, flavorful, and incredibly refreshing. The ingredients tasted high quality, and all the flavors worked really well together. It was more filling than I was expecting! Price-wise, I expected the menu to be more expensive than it actually was. I'm sure dinner prices are higher, especially for steak and seafood, but the brunch menu was quite reasonable. Most breakfast and brunch dishes range from $12-$20, making it a great value for both the quality of the food and the beautiful atmosphere. Overall, we all enjoyed our experience and I'll for sure be back! I'd love to try other menu items and come for dinner, too!

It's not intrusive, but we were sat outside. I can imagine it might have been hard to carry conversation in the very full and busy dining room. We both started with a mocktail, the fly boy, which was very fresh and delicious. My husband had the 20 oz rib eye which was slightly over done, but still seasoned well. I had the bone-in pork chop with fingerling potatoes and roasted Brussels sprouts which was delightful. Dessert consisted of the banana sticky toffee pudding and the strawberry chocolate cake and a decaf cappuccino. All were awesome. Our server (Lindsey?) was l friendly and attentive, while not being overbearing. Foxtail has definitely become a favorite restaurant of ours.

When I was a kid I use to go to the Des Plaines Theater & watch movies for 60 cents (ahhh nostalgia trip down memory lane), but I digress The speakeasy inside the Des Plaines Theater is an awesome idea. The show was awesome but the one MAJOR MAJOR issue I have is the bartender who continued to serve my sister's friend. He was obviously very very drunk to a point where he could barely walk wo/stumbling. He was slurring his words. Both my sister & I asked the bartender not to serve him anymore alcohol but she kept serving him drinks even after we asked. She continued to serve him even after we asked her not to. When he and my sister left she told me he tried to put the key in the ignition 14X's before she convinced him to let her drive. Your bartender's need to be aware of a persons level of intoxication. Both my sister & I asked her not to serve him anymore drinks but she continued to serve him. Thank God my sister was able to convince him to let her drive home otherwise what was an excellent evening could have ended tragically. Please have your bartenders be more conscious of a persons level of intoxication. While I gave Bourbon & Brass a 5 star review I need to down grade that for over serving someone alcohol even after both my sister & I asked her to stop serving him

There was a show that evening, when we entered the theater, the usher asked to see our tickets. I asked how to get to the speakeasy and the usher pointed to the elevator, take it to the second floor. Once we got to the second floor, more ushers greeted us and informed us there's a jazz band performing and small cover charge. As soon as we paid and entered through the bookshelf, the room was beautifully arranged as a lounge with fancy and vintage sofas and couches. Kind of reminds me of someone grandma's house. The bar had snacks available, otherwise more drink options. The band played good songs too. Definitely recommend if you're in the area and jazz fan.

Table 12 for the win!…read more I was in Rosemont for a work trip, which usually means dull dinners, early nights and generally a bit Puritanical. Since we were in Chicago, I took my boss and coworker to the Tiki TIki next door for a shot of Malort. It's Chicago, after all. 1 shot became 2, 2 became 4, and before I knew it, the bartender was ushering us through the swinging door into Pete's once they opened. Fun fact: we were the first ones in and also shut the bar down. From the moment the pianists started, it was clear this place was on point. Even them doing introductions and giving the ground rules was done musically. All four singers were wicked talented, and rotated in and out through the night. On occasion, they came together and became a full on quartet playing instruments other than pianos. Vocals were amazing, the energy in the place was such that I didn't even realize the time until they did last call and the lights came up. The layout of Pete's lends itself to entertainment. Regardless of what table you are at, you have a great view of the stage and no one has their back to the performance. The atmosphere is covered with fun and bright signs all over and despite being a larger place, it feels intimate when your song is played and everyone sings along. The table service was also great. She never hovered, but we also never lacked a drink. The next best thing about this place, after the performers, is the level of crowd interaction. There were folks singing along to every single song, and at times it was the whole bar. A couple of times during the night, folks were running around the bar riding a horse's head (or maybe a unicorn) on a stick. Somehow, it all just made sense. Pete's turned what could have been another boring end of a work trip sitting in the hotel into a night full of laughs, shots, and having a hoarse voice for days.

The experience is in the name; 2 guys and a small band pick songs to play and the audience really sings out loud (and really loud sometimes). I knew some of the songs so I could sing along. The food itself is very good but service this time was subpar. The restaurant was not busy at all and we were greeted immediately by our server but he seemed to be in a hurry and took mine and my daughters drink order and walked away, not letting my husband order. When he retuned with our drinks my husband asked for a drink, which he got quickly but never apologized and asked if we were ready to order food. We were not yet so we asked for more time, so he walked away. When he returned we ordered an appetizer and our entrees and he repeated it back. Our food arrived about 15 minutes later but we never got our appetizer. The server did not bring the meal (a runner did) and he never came back, so we just ate our meals and never got a chance to tell him our appetizer never came. At nearly the end of our meal a different server came and filled our water glasses and asked if we wanted refills on our soft drinks. then a third server came and cleared our plates. The server who filled our drinks came and brought our bill, which luckily did not include the appetizer. Our server never returned to our table, but we did see him serving other tables, it was very strange. Overall we will dine here again and like the convenience and menu selection at this hotel.

She walked away and then a gentleman walks up and literally asked us what we wanted. Food, drinks, what? I said, nothing....we don't want anything and we left. But my wife and I were dressed down and they just assumed we just wanted to eat at the bar. It just rubbed me the wrong way. We left and won't be coming back. No thank you, we don't "want" anything that badly.
