I have had the chicken dinner. It was so delicious, just like homemade. Plenty of food at a very reasonable price.

We arrived at 4:15 for happy hour, they hostess said it would about 15 minute wait. We asked if we could sit at the bar and she replied it was open seating. We went to the bar area and found a table right away. In a mater of about 2 minutes the waiter came and asked what we would like to drink. We ordered at the same time we ordered the drinks. I ordered the cheeseburger with fries and a cup of chowder, the soup was really good. The burger was cooked prefect and the fries were tasty. This place was absolutely terrible. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A LARGE GROUP!!!!! Food took a while to get to the table. Drinks were never refilled. Only relieved half of our drinks. We waited over half an hour for our check. When a waiter came back we found out that no one ever went to get our check. We talked to a manager and they just looked confused. The was basic. Don't get the jambalaya. I understand that there was shrimp in the dish but there was shell in almost every bite. The calamari is BAD. It tastes like cuddlefish rather than calamari. I really wanted to love this place. The happy hour looked like a good menu. I've been here 3 times so far and I've had terrible service each time. I'm sorry but 3 strikes and you're out. First time eating here since they opened up in the location of the old Ram brewery that was here prior. EXCELLENT FOOD and service. Quite impressed with this place. We had Jambalaya - excellent with large perfectly seasoned shrimp, cajun sausage, and chicken I believe. Delicious! We also ordered Chicken Masala with Mashed potatoes and asparagus. 3 chicken cutlets with a scrumptious masala wine sauce and mushrooms, over a large portion of red potato mash, and, honestly....the Asparagus was done perfectly. It appears as if they finish it over a wood fire. Amazingly good. Splurged on the baked to order Guinness Stout Brownie with ice cream. A nice finish to a great meal. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Outstanding food! Try the Poké Nachos! Great service and nice people. The only complaint and area to improve on is the cocktails. Suuuuuper small pours with hefty ice. Loved the salmon power bowl. Fish was grilled perfectly. The mango and blueberries were so ripe and sweet. Kale was so fresh. The lemon vinaigrette was light and wonderful. The other dishes ordered at the table were nice as well. Fried chicken dinner had a wonderful coleslaw. The stuffed salmon dinner was delicious as well. We will be back! We had dinner there last night. Server was really nice the food was ok. My dinner was made incorrectly but they quickly fix it. The mash potatoes was the best part of my dinner. I was disappointed dining there tonight. We ordered the pot pie and turkey dinner, coffee and tea. We asked for water, we got none. We asked for a sample of the soup, and got none. The first round of coffee and tea was hot, after that is wasn't. After we ordered, it took the staff 30 minutes to tell us they didn't have any more pot pie. After we finally reordered steak bites, and brussel sprouts and a bowl of soup to replace the pot pie, it took another 40 minutes to get our food. The brussel sprouts were hard, and the turkey dinner was barely warm. I realize these are tough times getting servers and probably chefs, but there were plenty of servers available. We ended up asking other servers for the things we needed. I hope the manager reads this review and can tighten things up a bit where needed. read more

Had a lovely lunch today at the Clackamas Oswego Grill. Service was great altho' a bit slow. It was lunchtime after all. The pot pie was delicious. Full of prime rib chunks & a nice gravy. Garlic toast was fantastic! Unfortunately, my favorite part of a pot pie is the pie crust. It looked artistically pleasing to the eye. But tasted more like thin bread than flakey pie crust. Very disappointing last night - 10/26/23. I ordered the seasonal pork loin chop. It was more than half fat. What little meat that was there was good, but I would never cook or serve this terrible piece of meat. When I complained, the manager tried to defend the cut of meat saying it was normal for pork to have some fat and made a disparaging remark to me. I would expect a little fat, but not 50-60% of the serving! At first he tried to give us a dessert but eventually he comped the meal but only after giving me another sarcastic comment. Server was ok, but food came out slow and timing was off. Received dinner salad, then appetizer, then 5 minutes later our dinners. Management and the kitchen need some serious improvement. read more

My mom and I came in for lunch and ate in the bar. We had a few salads and drinks. The service and food were good. I would say average and to be expected. 5 stars all around - food, drinks, and especially service. My husband and I went there a few nights ago for our anniversary, though we didn't tell any of the staff that. Our server (Santina, I think?) noticed a card on our table that said "wife" and asked if we were celebrating something, so we told her it was our anniversary. She offered a free dessert, which the manager brought out and congratulated us and thanked us for choosing to celebrate with them. Later, our server returned with a card that all the staff signed and wrote "Happy anniversary". I have now visited twice. Once for Happy Hour and last night for my MIL's 93rd birthday with my family. We had such a great time. The staff was so kind and professional. They even brought a signed card from the wait staff along with a gorgeous banana split to her ! Morgan was a waitress but her back up servers were as "too drawer" as she was. They were witty, really cared about our experience and the food was YUMMY! Hats off to the homemade donuts...too! I realize that many restaurants suffer from staff shortages and this restaurant is dealing with some of that but wow, they keep their good humor and really try to come through for their customers. Thank you for making both visits super pleasant. It's nice to have a local restaurant that has a great happy hour menu or a yummy dinner menu! We will be back. read more

Didn't have a very good first impression here. The hostess was rude to me, and everyone. Had a to-go order, went to go pick it up at the time it said after ordering. Went inside and the hostess said she would check on it and walked away while I went to the restroom. Asked about it when I came out to find out she never checked on my order and then ordered someone else to do it after I asked about now the second time. The girl comes back and said it'll be ready in 10 mins. I politely said ok. Waited 10 mins. Not heard anything and no one is checking on it. So, I asked a third time. She checks and comes back and now says it'll be 5 mins. I told her it was a bit ridiculous and told her what time I ordered online and that I've been now waiting almost an hour. She said in these words "Look around, we are busy!" I just shook my head and said ok. Wow, what a rude response. I had also noticed the hostess giving rude responses to people who were coming in. This group of elders who said they had a reservation was told to wait and kindly did. After 15mins they asked her how long there table would be open? She responded "We will have a table open when someone leaves, so I can't give you a time in when that will be." Again RUDE!! They were shocked and one of the ladies spoke to her partner and asked what the purpose is to make a reservation then?? Which is correct! I almost asked to speak with the manager. My dad owned his own restaurant and I know how customers should be treated, that is not ok. I finally got our food, and went home to eat. The food was decent atleast. Service is really pleasant here. You can tell the staff cares about doing a good job. Food is delicious and all portions are big. Even on busy nights they will get you seated quickly. Took my family to the grill last week. My wife ate only part of her dish, & my older son had chicken strips that was burnt and both have french frys that needed the deep fryer oil changed a week ago, both plates had dark brown frys that you can smell the burnt frying oil. Selection was fare to choose from. The waitress never asked why the two meals wasn't eaten and no to go boxes or offered to remove the uneaten meals from the bill ? ? $70 for one eaten meal is just too expensive for me. Love the selections and the food which is consistently top notch. Great cocktail and drink creations too! Went there for my birthday. So please note, the birthday dessert they provide gratis is called a birthday sundae. It's basically bananas in whipped cream served in a martini glass disguised as an ice cream sundae with no ice cream! A couple on the booth next to us was also having a birthday and sundae and they gagged about the presentation. It's A bit smoke and mirrors and downright cheap on their part. I often eat at this restaurant at Happy Hour. Unfortunately, the dining experience is conversational shouting at our table partners as we cannot hear because of the loud background loud music. When we request the music be turned down, we are told it is loud because of Happy Hour. Unfortunate to say the least. Surely, the managers have more control over the volume. read more

We ate at Oswego Grill about 2 weeks ago. It was very busy and just about every part of the experience was awful. We were told the wait would be about and hour. Since the bar was full we walked to another restaurant for a cocktail. Just as we got our drinks we were texted that our table was ready. It had been 15 minutes. We got to Oswego and were sat. Our waitress, Felicia took our cocktail orders, we were a table of 4. Then we ordered an appetizer. The ahi wontons were good. They arrived and drank our water with them. 20 minutes later 2 of our cocktails were delivered. 10 minutes later one more arrived and I was still waiting for the gin and tonic. Felicia came up to take our dinner order and she could see there were 3 cocktails when 4 were ordered. She had so many excuses which no one cared about. My table mates were waiting until I got my drink so we could have a toast. After she walked by the table 3 times I asked if she could expedite my drink. Felicia had a lame excuse for everything. Advice: when serving cocktails bring all of them at once not one at a time. Finally after 45 minutes we all had our toast. We ordered dinner and she got our orders wrong. A kale salad, 2 new york steaks and a filet all with caesar salads. 2 caesar salads arrived and we told the expeditor we were missing one. He rushed one out that was obviously the chunks that were in the bottom of the bowl. Not worth the $7. Then Felicia snarkily asked if I wanted another gin and tonic since I got angry mine (the easiest one to make) took so long. Unbelievable. She got the temperature of the steaks wrong. My son in laws was medium well when he ordered medium rare. He didn't want to send it back. Mine, the filet was rare. I sent mine back and it was perfect and delicious. It was only served with mashed potatoes so not sure the price was worth it. Some veggie would have made it great. I see the kale salad is no longer on the menu which is a good thing. The vegetarian in the group got mostly all kale with about 2 tablespoons of quinoa and a little bit of other veggies. She likes kale but and entire bowl was a bit much. We won't be going back again for at least a year to see if they can get their sad act together. Our server was trash the food was mediocre. The service here is abysmal. My total experience here was a bust. The server Felicia was a poor server. After request so ketchup for my fries the server gave my entire party a big old mean mug. Then eventually after 10 mins after my food was cold they eventually arrived. I don't normally write reviews. I know that people can react very differently to the same situation. I ordered the bone in rid eye, not only did it take almost an hour for us to get our food but my steak was grossly under cooked. I did notice that the steak wasn't a medium (which is what I ordered) but I'm totally fine with a medium rare steak so I was fine with it at first. Till the steak that was burnt on the outside started bleeding. After talking to the waiter he brought the manager that said he say that my steak was "a bit" under cooked. After witch he asked me what Id like him to do for me. I said it was up to him, because It didn't feel right to tell him what good customer service is. In the end the took of an appetizer off the bill (may have bin the cheapest thing we ordered) and that's it.
