Have only been twice, but fantastic food both times. Their menu has something for everyone.

We got lucky and snagged a table in the bar for the happy hour. (from 3 to 6). Enough variety to choose from for cocktails and food. I did a mix of mango and peach for my martini and the mojito was enjoyed as well. We splurged on the happy hour appetizers. Big price discounts on food. The best was the arugula salad, yummy!! Honorable mention to the Burger with fries, calamari, and steak slices. Was a good time. Negative was uncomfortably warm. Turn up the air please! We ate in the bar, the dining area looked pleasant and inviting. They also have an outside patio area to eat on. Definitely would recommend. read more

Met some friends for HH. Even though I arrived just after 4, the place was packed! I was shocked to find an open table in the bar area. And even more shocked that we didn't wait around long for service. The only negative was the cosmopolitan I ordered. Taste was off and glass was barely half full. For almost $10, I was very disappointed. But, my experience was fully redeemed by the wagyu beef sliders ($6.99!!) They were phenomenal. I also got the hand cut fries with a side of ranch. We went on the 4th of July. We came an hour before service closed. We even called before we came and the host told us that we had plenty of time. We arrived for our reservation on time, but it took us close to an hour to receive our entrees. Our waitress mentioned the kitchen was short staffed. So we gave it some grace. When the food arrived it was -10! Our children's chicken tenders and fries were literally burnt. The artichoke dip was cold and so was the whole salmon dish. Had a great dinner and night out with some coworkers ! Sat at the bar for a drink while they set our table up. We had 9 people and no reservation and they said no problem, give us 10 minutes. Just like they promised us, we all sat down after waiting 10 minutes. We had the calamari and nachos for apps and they did not disappoint ! I had the NY Strip, medium with mushrooms and it was perfect ! The stuffed Salmon and King Salmon, I was told, were also delicious. The staff was excellent and food was outstanding ! my boyfriend invite me for our anniversary . I wanted to tried this place long time ago , and finally I did , the reason why I'm giving 3 stars. Is because the only thing I really enjoy was the steak for 47.00 $ dollars . It was good , like should be . But, he got the salmon with literally 4 asparagus and a table spoon of rice The salmon was really dry not able to eat . Wife and I went on a Saturday afternoon and both had salads and the filet mignon which was excellent. I had a very good dark porter and my wife had a very good drink. We had dessert that was very good too. Our waitress was great and checked on us often. While the ambience is pleasant with a relatively upscale vibe, the food didn't live up to the promising menu. When I saw the stuffed salmon, I knew I had to try it since Jake's stuffed salmon is one of my favorite things. The salmon itself was good,but the stuffing was terrible. It was fishy and mainly just canned crab, with no hint of brie or shrimp. Even the buerre blanc was bland. My daughter got the alfredo, and the sauce was very thin and tasteless. Oswego grill reminds me of PCG before it went to shit. Excellent food, even better happy hour, and great service. It's dark and quiet, upscale enough that you can dress up when you come here but won't be too out of place if you're in jeans either. I haven't had any food here that's bad. I recommend happy hour over the regular dinner menu just because of cost. You can eat a proper meal from the HH menu at like a fourth of the price. read more

First time to the Oswego Grill at Clackamas. It's been a long time since I had such a poor restaurant experience. Arrived about 1:45pm, didn't appear to be super busy. Were seated in a comfortable, albeit very cold booth. My wife and I were excited about the menu. We ended up waiting for our food for over an hour while watching several customers arriving at the same time or after us finishing their lunch before ours even arrived. I ordered the Slow Roasted Prime Rib sandwich with cheese and my wife ordered the fish and chips. When our order finally arrived, mine was missing the cheese and was tepid while my wife's fish was way overcooked and tepid, and the fries were cold. It was clear our order had been sitting there for a while. The prime rib sandwich is literally a full prime rib stuck between two pieces of bread. I wasn't even sure how to eat it. Never had a prime rib sandwich like that. Usually they're sliced thin or thick, like maybe 1/4 inch or so, but apparently that's not how it's done there. I ended up tossing the bread aside and asking for a steak knife. Ate about half. Was cold by then so didn't finish. They missed the mark on a number of levels, the service and both dishes were a huge disappointment. On the positive side, management was apologetic for the level of service all around and we ended up only having to pay for the drinks. Management offered to bring us something else or a free dessert, but we'd already been there 2 hours so we declined. So, kudos to the management for rectifying the situation. read more

We have become regulars at the Oswego grill in clackamas. We used to be regulars at Stanfords but switched mainly because Oswego grill is a better value and we like the menu a bit more. Specifically because there are more healthy options. I regularly get the salad bowls with salmon. It's rare to find healthy food like that at a fine dining restaurant. They get 4 stars instead of 5 because of the service and ambiance. It's an open floor design and doesn't have an intimate feeling. Not a big deal if you're having a family dinner. The service is not bad, but there are enough young and inexperienced wait staff that will need time to achieve the right balance of "attentive but not intrusive." That's not their fault. We'll keep going back for the food and the value. read more

They had the BEST happy hour and such an affordable price. All of the food we ordered were hot and delicious, the drinks were cold and flavorful (I ordered the passion fruit drop and mixed berry drop). We ordered a Caesar salad, two cocktails, two beers, calamari, steak bites, and spicy mac all for only $57! The cocktails are not on happy hour but the everything was amazing and so worth it! Visited Oswego Grill for the first time. We were a group of 6 with a 5:15pm reservation. They checked us in and got us seated very quickly. Celebrating our mother's 80th birthday. The server was friendly and got our drinks out fast. Took our order as the drinks arrived. Comfortable atmosphere, where we were able to hold a conversation without having to compete with other noise or customers. Dinner came quickly and was pretty good. The only thing I would critique, was the drink refills. Refills were a little slow and we had to ask a couple times to get more water. Overall a good first experience. Magnificent restaurant. High quality dining for a fraction of the cost. We had the prickly pear margarita, which was one of the best margaritas I've ever tasted in my life. My friend and I had to meet about a serious situation and it was rather late on a Sunday night. We knew we needed a couple of hours (this looking for somewhere open past 9pm) and wanted to eat somewhere it was quiet enough to talk, had good food, easy to get to and not an arm and a leg price wise. I picked Oswego Grill.. It's still strange going out in public again to eat a meal but OG made it quite a pleasant experience. Me and my wife are weekly customers. Very good food. We usually get stuffed chicken and substitute the sides for other stuff on the salad menu like the butternut squash or roasted sweet potatoes. Also their cookies are made fresh (takes 15-20 min) but worth the wait. read more

I want to like this place so badly. Their service is always incredibly slow and their food is alright at best. The first time we went I had mentioned to the server that I believed I had received the wrong salmon order upon which the manager came and told me it was indeed not what I ordered and she proceeded to take my plate away. Mind you this was after we waited over thirty minutes for our food and I was one very hungry pregnant woman. Ugh just not the kind of first impression you want to get on a first try. Went to this restaurant website to make a reservation and their website directed us to open tables website which accepted our reservation and then confirmed it with us through emails and texts four or five times. When we showed up the hostess politely informed us that it wasn't valid because this Restaurants manager hadn't done whatever they needed to do in order to link OpenTable to this restaurant so we couldn't get a table because they flat out would not honor the reservation even though we showed them the email confirmations from OpenTable. We were left looking for someplace else to eat. Horrible horrible customer service!!! Never again!
