We have had dinner at this Oswego Grill location a few times now. The food has ranged from really great to just ok. We love the stuffed chicken but the fried chicken wasn't great. The steak was grilled really great with great flavor but was really fatty. The asparagus is sooo good! It's one of my favorite things even though it's a side. Overall it's always been a good meal. The staff has always been friendly upon arrival and the servers are friendly and quick to take orders. We've never received any order that was incorrect. The parking lot is the main down side of choosing this restaurant. Since it's located in a shared parking area with other restaurants and Clackamas town center it can be packed and difficult to find a parking spot. It's especially difficult if you're meeting other arriving in separate vehicles. Depending on the day and time you should expect a wait of somewhere between 15 minutes to nearly an hour. It's gets really busy at dinner time, especially Thurs-Sun. The restaurant itself is a nice atmosphere. You'll find a mix of guests that are in casual jeans and tshirts to others in fabulous date night attire. Either is entirely acceptable! If you want some place nicer than Applebees but not as spendy as a big name steak house this place is the perfect middle ground. read more

First time at this location. I've been to the Lake Oswego location numerous times over the years. After reading such mixed reviews, I was a little hesitant to try this one, but I'm glad I did! I brought a friend here to celebrate her birthday. It was about 11:30 on a Thursday. I was a little surprised at how busy they were during the week. There were about 8 people waiting in the front entrance to be seated. I asked if there were booths in the bar, and she said yes, so we walked in and found an empty booth. We were immediately given menus and beverages. Our server took our order soon after. We both ordered Oswego burgers with the garlic aoli for dipping our fries. Food came out timely, and burgers were cooked perfectly. Our server noticed my friends birthday card from me and sent a sundae over without even asking. Love that! So observant! My friend was so surprised. She had never experienced the Oswego Grill birthday experience. It was so yummy! She also received a birthday card signed by the Oswego Grill staff. Very nice. We ordered the stuffed chicken breast and salmon harvest bowl. The stuffed chicken breast with pasta was rich, creamy, and delicious. Asparagus was cooked to perfection. 5/5 The salmon harvest bowl was yummy. The flavor was complex with the crunchy of the nuts and fruits. The sweet vinaigrette along with the cranberries in the salad was a bit too sweet for my taste. 4/5 I also ordered the prickly pear margarita. I would cut back on the sweetness to bring out the flavor of the prickly pear. 4/5 It was a little slow at first but picked up quick after my orders were placed. My server, Lucas, was attentive and friendly. Overall, the service was excellent. Ambiance is on the upscale side. Great for families and groups. The restaurant was very dim, with ample amount of tables and booths for seating. The drinks came out first; and the presentation looked good. The bar made the drinks well but nothing extraordinary. The salt and pepper calamari came out next - very fresh and hot. The only downside was that we did not receive any napkins, utensils, or sharing plates until much later. Some of us opted to pick at the hot pieces of calamari with our fingers. The seasoning was quite good and the calamari was very plump and juicy. The NYE special was the filet and sea scallops. The filet mignon was cooked to a nice medium rare per requested. Very tender and flavorful. The sea scallops could have been cooked and seared a bit longer in my preference. Asparagus was cooked well, had a nice bite and crunch to them still. Mashed potatoes were decent. I'm not even going to lie but I had high expectations for this place... and it was a major letdown. Parking lot is wonky so prepare to park too close to your neighbors. The front door staff are not super professional- the front entrance has a weird setup but the girl with red hair seemed bothered to have to tend to customers- lol it's kinda comical only because she's in the food business- you need personality. The smell outside the restaurant is like char from the BBQ. I was there with a gf and my kiddo. We ordered chicken tenders with fries and it was a letdown. The chicken was chewy- like hard to pull apart and the breading has hardly any spice. They looked good but didn't taste good. They give you a ranch and some sort of red sauce but the red sauce is something you would actually pair with shrimp tempura not chicken. I got Alfredo with chicken... it wasn't good. My kiddo also got the kids Alfredo which is essentially the same as mine but smaller. My friend got stuffed chicken breast... she said her chicken breast was good but her pasta wasn't and it was actually the same pasta my daughter and I had. She did not like her asparagus as they literally tasted like char- it's one thing to grill but for your food to taste like char- it leaves an icky taste. We ordered Apple Crisp- it was ok. More of a bread pudding though. We did tell the Manager about the asparagus but he basically said he'd talk to the kitchen guys and asked if we wanted a different vegetable- we declined. If you were to ask me to return, it would be a no based on the quality of the food and the pricing. The prices are high but the food isn't worth that. This place deserves more stars than what it currently has. I understand they recently opened but we visited this place for dinner twice during a week long work trip and they delivered both times. Both times my coworker and I were seated within half an hour. The hosts were attentive and kind. Both times I ordered the Miso Salmon. The salmon fillet was really fresh and marinated in miso, It was garnished with their beurre blanc sauce and tangy soy glaze. It was served with white rice and roasted glazed carrots. During our second visit, we also shared the Pear & Gorgonzola Salad which had wild organic arugula tossed with lemon vinaigrette dressing. topped with pears, apples, grapes, gorgonzola cheese and candied walnuts. This was delectable. We appreciated our friendly waiters both times. Mathias who attended to us on our visit stands out though. I've lived in Clackamas for many years now and have seen this building go from the Macaroni Grill to Ram and now the Oswego Grill. Came here for happy hour and sat outside because it was a beautiful day! They have an extensive happy hour menu and we got the steak bites, poke nachos, and calamari. Also had their homemade cookies for dessert. I was surprised by the meatiness of the calamari and the generous serving of steak. The poke nachos were presented well but I would've liked more chips and poke. I love sweets so the cookies were my favorite! Overall, this is a nice place for happy hour. food is overpriced especially when you're getting a slice of tissue paper cheap lunch meat for your turkey sandwich and your water taste like it has mold in it! Fries are soggy and over seasoned. The spinach dip is not enough as they give you more tortilla chips and bread, does not even out, you ask for more dip and they will charge you full price for the appetizer even though you get more dip. Couldn't finish my food and dare not drink the water. A friend recommended this place not sure why. He ordered the fish tacos which were absolutely delicious. The Fish was tender. The condiments were well seasoned, and the plate was plentiful. It's dark but has a warm, cozy vibe to it with their dark orange lights they have. Lots of tables and booths. They comped us desserts because of the ingredients that were missing. Tried the pumpkin cheesecake which was supposed to have "real" whipped cream on it and it was canned whip cream. After being turned down by two places because it was after 9 or because my minor granddaughter was with us, we decided on the Oswego Grill near the Clackamas Town Center. The hostess was very gracious and quick to set up a large table for our group. The menu has a great variety and everyone was able to order something they wanted. So - this continues to be a favorite restaurant of mine, but the inconsistencies in food location to location - and even from the same location - is frustrating. It finally seemed like the Clackamas location had figured out their kitchen, a month later, big disappointment. I ordered the ahi poke nachos again because last time the balanced ingredients were perfect as the ahi was showcased with a nice background of mango, avocado. This time, the amount of red onion was overwhelming to the point of not being able to taste anything else and the ahi actually seemed like an after thought. I ordered the donuts (a can't pass up) & ahi poke to go and the caramel for the donuts was so hot it melted the top and warped the container! Needless to say, I'm glad I checked before I left as it would have been beyond a mess by the time I got home. Finally, the bartender explained the delay in my to go order on the kitchen "getting behind on salads" - not sure how my order of donuts & ahi poke is impacted by salads, but ok? My experience at the restaurant. I ordered a steak and it was undercooked. I was very disappointed with the food. The steak was not cooked to my liking and I did not enjoy it. I didn't ask for a refund, but the manager didn't even offer me a refund or a different meal. I was disappointed with the food quality. Not only was the food not up to par, but it was also overpriced. This was extremely disappointing and I will not be returning. Instead of the manager said they can put the steak back on the grill. I told the manager go ahead and do that, but please bag it up for me. I will give it to my dog. Again, no apologies from the server or the manager which I think is unacceptable. For three people the total was $130 which I think it's a little ridiculous specially for the quality and quantity of the food. I will not be back here. Remember when you try the food out, please make sure that it's the right temperature and if you order a steak, make sure it's the right type of style you like.
