I ordered the steak salad for $19.99! They grilled 2 heads of romaine lettuce. It was soggy on the outside, tough steak medallions and blackened and hard as a rock Brussel sprouts. I couldn't cut the lettuce or the steak with the butter knife they gave me.. I ended up not eating the lettuce.. I ate the meat with my fingers. I was able to stab the cherry tomatoes. $25. Does this picture look like it is worth $25? To say I was underwhelmed is an understatement. As one of the featured items on the menu I thought the stuffed salmon would be absolutely outstanding. Yes the salmon was cooked perfectly it was moist, the flavor was good. It was not stuffed but the small amount of crab meat was on the top of the salmon underneath the sauce. I substituted mashed potatoes for the wild rice pilaf. I couldn't believe the lackluster of plating and the small portion of salmon. It was probably only 4 oz of salmon. The mashed potatoes were nothing special. I would never order the stuffed salmon again for that price. Other people in my party got huge portions whether it was the bacon cheeseburger with fries or the prime rib sandwich. Even the fish tacos looked amazing. The wedge salad was very small so it definitely wasn't a meal as my sister found out. This was my first time to Oswego Grill in Clackamas. It's still my parents favorite restaurant but I was not impressed with my meal. If I go back I will try their hamburger which looked unbelievable. Wish I would have got a picture of it. Also the back room where we sat for a party of nine was a wrap around booth. It even had doors that you could possibly close and a TV up in the corner for a party or game watching room. We went to happy hour before seeing a play. Food was cold when delivered to our party of seven. My chicken fingers were overcooked and really tough. Everyone else got the cheeseburgers and the fries were cold and the burgers were overcooked from what was ordered. I don't fault our waiter- he was running his legs off taking care of so many tables. No one ever checked to see if we were happy with our food. Or if we even wanted boxes for the leftovers. I was so disappointed about the chicken. I was looking forward to it. read more

The ambiance was great. The food was decent for someone who prefers ethnic foods over the more popular dishes, no complaints. However, it was a full house in the bar and restaurant, both of which I was in over the course of the night. Despite this, the service was great once we got a table at the bar and then I joined a group of 13 for dining. Service was still excellent and the manager this past Monday did a good job helping as needed in both areas. I was impressed because given everything, it was reasonable to expect some delays or miscues. However Sydney went above and beyond accommodating the 13 individual tickets and splitting items (kitchen split orders beautifully also!) on the ticket for a few who wanted to share a few items. I've never had a restaurant so that without being asked! Our group was able to focus on each other instead of restaurant issues so we had a great time! We had made our reservation for Dec 16th via the open table website. We arrived just before our reservation time. We were greeted promptly upon entering the establishment. There were quite a few (13) people in the very small waiting area. Although they all seemed to be seated at the time of their reservations. While we were waiting a manager approached and asked if we would like a booth in the lounge. We said yes that will be perfect. Upon sitting down we were greeted by the floor hostess who told us our waiter would be over soon. Josh our waiter came over had some small talk asked if we wanted a drink. Asked Josh for some suggestions for Pinot. He went through 3 that he thought were nice. I ordered the 9oz pour of The Vine to Vessel-forbearance Pinot. Just a lovely wine well worth the price. They DO NOT offer black napkins just an FYI. We ordered 2 Cesar salads. $8.99 each. The dressing and croutons were very nice. The portion I felt was small husband thought average size and nothing to write home about. We both ordered the filet with a Demi-Glaze and buttermilk mashed potatoes. Before we finished our drinks Josh had checked on us, as he saw our drinks getting low he came to check to see if we wanted another. Very great service. Our food arrived the filets were cooked correctly, mashed potatoes were good. The presentation of the food on the plate for the price was something to be desired. There wasn't even a piece of parsley to add a little color to the plate. I digress. Great building and location. Ambiance is nice. Never been here before. The signs showed "brunch 10:00-2:00" l made a reservation for 11:30 arrived before that time. Had to wait for 10 plus minutes to be seated. Then no server for a while. When she did arrive I asked how their brunch worked. No little walk thru just a rude condescending response "order off the menu". We did get an order in and it was fine that it took a while to arrive but the burgers were over cooked and cold fries. Our servers disposition only improved slightly throughout. The staff was acting like they had just opened the doors, very quiet. I saw the manager but he appeared to be avoiding people, just waking up I guess. When booking my reservation there was a space to add was this a special occasion where I did put in it was our anniversary. We have been here twice, both terrible experiences. The first time we waited over an hour for food that arrived cold. Tonight, we put our name on the waitlist and were told they would call us in 30-40 minutes. After 50 minutes we checked in only to be told we were not on the list. They only offered to put us at the back of the list. No one took responsibility. Will not be back. The poke salad was delicious, it had a great amount of everything creating a great flavor. They gave a generous amount of avocado which was fresh along with the Ahi tuna. Honestly one of the cheaper and better happy hours in the area. They have a huge variety on their happy hour menu and their bar area is pretty big compared to a lot of other places. They do get pretty busy and it is open seating at the bar. We ended up getting the spicy mac and cheese (missing the sausage in it), waygu sliders, brussel sprouts from the happy hour menu and ahi poke nachos (love it, such a refreshing dish) and wedge salad from their dinner menu (sad they took the nachos off the hh menu). Every thing came out pretty quick. Food was all really good and our server was really nice and attentive. read more

I wish the servers were better educated on the gluten-free options here. Oswego Grill used to have a gluten free menu but took it off of their website. Some servers know the options and others don't. I felt that the servers at the Lake Oswego location had better knowledge of the gluten free options on the menu. If you are gluten free and planning to eat here, it's probably best to call and ask in advance to give them time to find out what the options are since the servers may not have that information handy. One server offered to check with the kitchen, but I was in a hurry and felt like it would be too much back and forth. For that visit, I ended up ordering the Harvest bowl but the smoked flavor on the salmon (which is part of what makes it so good) wasn't as pronounced as what I got at the Lake Oswego location. Overall, the bowl was good though. One day back in July, there was a manager who was gluten free who was super helpful. I ended up getting the burger which has a really good gluten free bun (the fries are fried in oil with cross contamination though) and spinach artichoke dip. My first visit was a few months ago and the food and service were both good. It was quite loud, but I'm not sure if it was the music or the fact that it was busy. I didn't rate it at the time but would have given it 3-4 stars. Last night I brought in two friends that had never eaten there. Our waiter changed immediately after we ordered our drinks, so after an extra 10 minutes our new waiter arrived and we had to re-order. My cocktail was very good, but my friend's soda arrived in a hot glass - like it was right out of the dishwasher. We ordered the spinach appetizer and it tasted fine but was gluey and dried out. Like it was scraped from the bottom of the pot. When I ordered a salad and the filet mignon with potatoes, the waiter commented "that's allot of food". I was surprised and slightly embarrassed. I often order a large dinner and take home the left overs to my teenage children. He seemed really cranky and we felt like we were annoying him by being there. The salad was good and the steak was well cooked, but it was small and placed at the side of a large white plate. There was a medium pile of mashed potatoes with a weird tasting brown gravy. 3/4 of the plate was empty, no steamed vegetables or anything. My bill was $82. I felt like I had just eaten at a very expensive Applebee's. Also it was pretty loud again, but we figured it was because it was Friday after work. We come here all the time and today I had to post about the new year feature menu Bronze MahiMahi. I will give it a 10/10. It was the perfect dish if you love fish with a creamy Cajun kick. The service was great and our server did really well with having to cover a lot of tables. I always love the ambiance inside it is a little darker/dim but I don't mind it at all. The happy hour is another thing you should look into if you're looking for a date night or just want to hang with friends. Sooo I'm rounding up stars in my review since I can't do 3 and 1/2 and I'm hopeful that they improved! Oswego grill replaced Rams restaurant and brewhouse over by the Clackamas town center that closed soon after the pandemic started which was a bummer because I enjoyed Rams. I was glad to see something new opened up in that location so quickly and not have it empty for long. Oswego grill has various locations I believe but I've only been to the one in Lake Oswego. First off let me just say that I'm more than understanding and patient with the new staff during these times which is why I rounded up my review. When we arrived it was a Sunday mid afternoon at the start of happy hour we were told it was a 40 min wait to be seated and we asked if it was the same for bar seating and the hostess said yes. Ok fine we put our name and phone number down and said we would wait outside to be texted when a table was ready and we were open to bar if that became available first since we really wanted do the HH menu for drinks. 40 mins in the car and nothing so we went back inside to check. Hostess was gone and I believe someone who looked to be dressed more like a manager checked for us and said it would be a bit longer. Ok fine we waited 40 mins what's a few mins more??! Anyway it was like 15 mins more and she lead us to our table and then we asked if happy hour was served in the dining room and she said no only in the bar area and we asked if we could sit there. She said yes and that it was open seating and to just grab a table! I mean to say I was heated & annoyed was an understatement but but but I counted my numbers down from 10 and reminded myself that they just opened and are probably still working out the kinks and I'm sure the hostess tried her best.... lol anyway that's how I calmed myself. On to the food and drinks, we tried a bunch of items just to get a feel of some of the food. The HH menu was pretty much the same as the Lake Oswego location with just maybe 2 or 3 different items. Our waiter was super nice (wish I got his name) and you could tell he was working and attentive with us. Food took a bit to arrive but I know that the kitchen was busy and he bought us some table bread that had a garlic butter spread on it. I love bread and butter so I was happy! *HH fish tacos were ok, 2 came in the order. Came with salsa on the side but wasn't spicy at all (I need a hot salsa). Nice large piece of fish in each taco. *HH sweet chicken I enjoyed but the rice was bland but I mean its white rice so what can you do? I was actually surprised at how large the HH portion was. (I'm so use to HH portions being tiny I guess) *BBQ bacon cheeseburger I didn't try but looked delicious. *HH Westwood pasta was the most disappointing for me... super bland and no flavor and was oily. I thought it'd be more cheesy but it was more like just buttered spaghetti noodles with a tiny bit of cheese. *HH Hawaiian salad was my favourite! The greens, fruit and breaded goat cheese was so yummy! I could of just done that and the table bread! *HH passionfruit spritzer was good a bit on the sweet side. *HH last word was better for me. I love a good gin drink but it was only just half the glass.. kinda felt cheated with that serving. (Maybe it was made wrong and something was left out??) *Several beers on tap as well All in all it was a positive experience, our waiter really made an effort to check in on us during the happy hour rush and I hope things improve as they get a hang of it and things become more settled. Went for our anniversary, and made reservations for a table. When we arrived we were placed on the patio, and told this was our only option. The patio is basically a typical bar patio placed on a busy intersection. Lots of freeway noise and street racers. When I reserve a table, I kinda expect that I'm getting a table inside unless specified otherwise. Our waiter was very nice. He did a great job of checking on us periodically for beverages etc. My steak was good, well cooked and decent sized. The mashed potatoes that came with were good as well. The plate seemed half empty though. Maybe an additional side of broccoli or asparagus would have filled it out better. My wife's jambalaya was not very good, and she decided to not finish it. She described it as being very "off". She says it seems very unauthentic, and lacking proper seasoning. I had an Old Fashioned from the bar that was well made and I went back for seconds. Pricing of the menu seemed reasonable and I honestly don't feel bad about the bill. All in all, not what I was hoping for, but also not terrible. I have previously dined at the Lake Oswego location and had a better experience and might try that location again. read more

We arrived for our reservation on time, but it took us close to an hour to receive our entrees. Our waitress mentioned the kitchen was short staffed. So we gave it some grace. When the food arrived it was -10! Our children's chicken tenders and fries were literally burnt. The artichoke dip was cold and so was the whole salmon dish.
