Jenny got me in right away for a mani+pedi. I didn't have an appointment. I paid $20 for Regular Manicure and $37 for Spa Pedicure Plus. The arm and foot massage felt nice and relaxing. Otay Nail & Spa has been open for 4 years the last time I was at location. It seems to be doing very well because there were a lot of people by 1:30pm. The service I received here was one of the worst ones in a long time and I'm never going there again. I went in for a pedicure appointment, the lady managed to talk me into getting a gel manicure as well and that ruined my nails for months afterwards. She said it would be good for my nails but the gel was done way too thick and there was gapping between my actual nail-bed. When I tried to bring anything to her attention during; for example the uv light was starting to hurt, she simply dismissed me and said that's ok.. rude and the cherry on top was the price was totally misleading. Told me it would be around 50 and I ended up paying almost 100. Walked out feeling robbed. I've now found a different place to go to and won't ever take my business here again read more

BEWARE. The employees here have no respect and have some type of superior entitlement. Don't come unless you want to get shit talked about in Vietnamese Not sure what the lady's name was but she kept on pushing me to do more than what I intended to come in for. IF I'll ever even come back, I'll update the review with her photo. I had long gel overlay nails that needed a fill but I just wanted them taken off. Needed a break. I asked for a simple manicure with white regular nail polish, not gel. She continues to talk shit to her coworker while the coworker was doing my pedicure in Vietnamese. She then was about to apply a purple colored lotion to massage my arms but I asked her if it was Lavender scented because I'm allergic to it. She didn't understood what I said so I told her, forget the massage. She then went along and started painting my nails. Now from my experience from getting manicures, there's always a base coat. NO BASE COAT was added. She then continues to say "Oh this girls nails are not gonna last and they're gonna chip." Sure enough it did because SHE didn't prep the nail it needed, the base coat. Did not receive the service and hospitality from this salon. And the funniest thing is that I UNDERSTAND VIETNAMESE and she was talking shit the WHOLE TIME. read more

Which honestly, mistakes happen, but the fact that her response was that I'm never satisfied was the last straw! She did clean up the previous lady's work which helped it not turn into an infection, so I'm grateful for that. But it was sore and caused a lot of pain and irritation for weeks!!!! read more

I had read good things about this place. They were very pushy for gel polish and when I kept saying no the girl got up and of course was saying things in her language and had someone else do it. My daughter wanted French on her nails and the other woman wouldn't do it like she wanted. Her toes were done by another person. So crooked and nail polish was not on the whole nails. I am so disappointed in jenny and I am never coming back ever again. I am attaching a picture of what i asked for and what i got. I was so unhappy with the result. My middle finger was all crooked, when i told the lady that, she blamed it on my "crooked bone" and just left it instead of fixing it. (Ive had my nails done for years and qualified nail artists always leave them straight - so that is such a lousy excuse) I also asked for a manicure and she never gave it to me. She charged me 60$ for this. The nail polish is so messy and she didn't even fill the nail. They were so chunky and ugly. I told her how long i wanted them and she just kept filing and left them super short. The shape was all wrong and the design looked like it was done by a 5yr old - she didn't even try. After fixing them, they had the audacity to charge me another 20$. How is that logical? Why would I have to pay for your mistakes and poor service? This is not the first time I have a bad experience with this place- the last time was a couple of years ago when I came in with my natural long nails. I specifically told the lady "do not cut them- they are real." I just wanted a refill. The lady just went "yeah yeah yeah" and then cut them anyways !!! I was so upset i mean that took me so long to grow !! And when i expressed my frustration jenny only took off 5$ ... i had to pay $90 for acrylics that I never even asked for and for the fact that she cut off my real nails. I am so disappointed in this place i used to come here a lot and for years but im done. I cant believe this is how they would treat a loyal customer. I have always been a generous tipper here and they just charge me more for horrible service. Don't come here, they dont care about you they just want to get as much money as they can from you. Treated my sister and mother for a mani and spa pedicure! It wasnt crowded at all around 1pm on a Tues...were able to get 3 spa med massage chairs side by side. The prices are reasonable...spa pedi #35 with the sea salt exfoliator! The ladies were all very sweet and gentle when cutting cuticles, trimming around the nails and also calous removing! This is our go to nail salon. Jenny the owner is great. I always take advantage of using the massage chairs during the pedicures. I only get gel nails but my daughter always does the fancy designs. I've got facial waxes here but have stopped doing the brow waxes recently because depending on who's doing it. I always ask not to touch my brow shape and it ends up getting thinned out. Giving it three stars because there was absolutely nothing wrong with my nails and i think they came out beautiful. But why on earth is it almost 70$ for a french tip acrylic nail Fill! I paid 50$ at the one in eastlake for the actual Full Set! My friend paid 90$ for a "chrome" set which looked literally exactly the same as mine. Not only that, you must pay in cash so they have an ATM inside for you. There is a sign that SPECIFICALLY says "Only nail salon that doesn't charge ATM fee". The cashier lady told me FIVE TIMES "ATM CHARGE NO FEE" Next day I check my bank statement and $1.50? Feels like i've been scammed and they definitely are ripping people off.
