I have not been here in a long time. Pita and Olive was really good before and it has gotten even better. The drink options improved. I really enjoyed the Mandarin cardamom drink. My daughter makes the Mandarin cardamom with lemonade. Her little concoction was very refreshing. I had the lamb chops and she had the chicken Shawarma. Everything was delicious. The service was perfect. The decor has not changed much, nor did it need to. They now have a dessert display with what looks like a coffee, matcha beverage station. I wish I had taken pictures of their amazing food but it smelled and looked so good I forgot my phone existed. We frequented this place over the past two weeks while taking care of a family member in their final stages of life. Pita and Olive became our family's go-to spot for comfort food. We all ordered various plates from kebabs, falafal, beef and lamb pitas, chicken bowl, and sides of their delicious rice. While running errands a few days ago I actually stopped in JUST to pick up a side of rice and a small cup of their creamy dill sauce (which tastes amazing on everything). Fresh ingredients that are seasoned beautifully and plates that are crafted to satisfy and bring happiness to your tummy and your heart. I've been a fan of Pita & Olive for a while. Their food is obviously made with the best ingredients and many items are also clearly made from scratch. The addition of the coffee bar/cafe menu has only further endeared me to the place. Just like their food, many of the components of the coffee menu are scratch made, including the milks. They make a pistachio, almond, and oat milk all in house. There may be more too, but those three I know for certain. The attention to detail is also impressive, such as the presentation of each beverage. The cups the drinks are served in aren't just pretty, but also sturdy. Which as a clumsy person, I appreciate. Harder for me to spill. Ha! Something to keep in mind about the cafe menu is that since everything is mainly scratch made or ordered special (their Matcha is from Japan) they will be out of things at times. But there's nothing bad on the menu so I humbly suggest going in with an open mind. The lack of one item being available has caused me to try others, and I haven't disliked anything! My family and I were just passing through this area on a road trip. After being in the car for hours and hours, we needed nourishment. Real ingredients from good food. Mediterranean is perfect for this, and Pita & Olive absolutely delivered everything we expected and more. I had a falafel and eggplant pita bread with a delightful dill sauce and a side of babaganoush. Why is it that I haven't heard of any other place offering pitas with both eggplant and falafel? It was a match made in food heaven. The sauce was delicious and the pita bread was fresh and delicious. Prices were super fair. A hidden gem in Clifton Park! We recently tried Pita and Olive within the last few months and have already gone multiple times. It's always delicious! My husband and I both get the chicken kabob platter and share an order of mozzarella sticks. The chicken kabob platters are pretty big and could easily be multiple meals. The chicken itself is extremely well seasoned, juicy and has no weird pieces at all, which is huge to someone like myself who is picky with chicken. The rice is always perfectly cooked and you get a generous helping of that too. The hot sauce and dill sauce complement it so well, both are incredibly tasty. The platter also comes with a pita, hummus and a small salad. All very delicious as well. The mozzarella sticks are some of the best in the area easily! They're crispy, have very well seasoned breading and the cheese is juicy. The marinara it comes with is also super tasty! Pita and Olive does so well with all their seasonings and flavors! Our food is always ready for pick up when it's supposed to be done and the employees are always friendly. It also smells amazing inside! We've never sat inside but it's very cute in there. So I have been trying to check out this place for months and finally had a chance. And wow what a selection. I ordered the chicken kabob, kofta kabob and lamb gyro. Additionally we ordered grape leaves and banana pudding for dessert. The kabobs were fantastic. It came with rice a slice of pita and salad. Also there was a side of tzatziki sauce and they asked if I wanted tzatziki sauce on the side as well. Very confusing but both tasted so different. Now let's talk about the banana pudding. OMG, what a gift! The chops had a really good seasoning and were grilled wonderfully with a light char. The Tzatziki Dip had a dill/sour flavor to it and was not the style of tzatziki that I favor, however, it was not bad. The Falafel and Eggplant Pita sandwich was great! I would order it again for lunch. The same for the Baked Kofta Pita if I am in the mood for a more meaty dish. Pretty happy with our dinner choice tonight! The atmosphere is like a panera but for mediterranean. I was impressed they give you real plates and silverware and provide some table service. We had the mixed grill for 2 and it was a very generous amount of food! Overall, the flavor was very good. The hummus was a bit too thick for my liking, but that's my preference and they had olive oil on the table which was great. Let's start with all the great things about this place. The inside of this place is super cute! The staff was very polite and helpful! And for the price of $17 for this little beef kabob platter, I thought it was good value for money for lunch. Now the things that made me a little sad. Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food is typically very exciting and seasoned passionately. Unfortunately I can't say either of these things about the food here. The food was very politely and perhaps even apologetically seasoned for an unfamiliar audience. Along with the oils on every table I wish there was a salt mill with kosher or sea salt as well as a mill of fresh cracked black pepper. The food would have benefited even from this small change. I also wish they would ask how you would like your beef cooked. I prefer my beef rare to medium rare and these were cooked well done, making them tough and hard to cut through. The beef was nicely marinated through though and had a nice sear on them. Small details make a big difference. read more

It was only their fourth day of being open when we decided to try them out, so we were not surprised to experience some rough edges. But our first experience is not going to prevent us from returning. Our 6:30 arrival on a Monday did not initially alert us to the fact that they had just gotten slammed. There was only one individual ahead of us placing an order at the counter and the dining area looked less than half full. When the woman taking orders told me they were out of my choice of Lamb Shanks but still had the Lamb Chops, I assumed they may have not received a delivery after a busy weekend. After we placed our order we selected a clean, available table. Yes, there some empty tables that had not been bussed yet. It was also then that I realized that there were a number of individuals who were standing around waiting for their takeout orders. My Lamb Chops Platter ($21) came out in a reasonable amount of time, maybe 10 minutes. But my appetizer side of Falafel ($6) had not yet been served and my wife's entrée of a Falafel & Eggplant Pita ($9) had not been served. My wife insisted I start on my Lamb Chops before they got cold. I was probably about halfway through my dinner when the owner/manager(?) stopped by our table to ask what we were still waiting to have served. He apologized, and the balance of our order was quickly served. Those 4 meaty lamb chops were nice and tender, grilled properly to a medium-rare, and very flavorful being served with sumac, over rice, with grilled tomato and onion, olive and feta dip, a tzatziki like dip, and hand-stretched pita. That pita was so good. Overall, simply a wonderful balance of flavors throughout the dish. The side of seven good sized falafel balls were nice and hot, crispy on the outside and full of chickpea and fava bean flavor throughout. I dipped them in my tzatziki that came with my lamb since their accompanying sauce had been sadly overlooked. They will definitely be on my list again when we next visit. My wife's Falafel & Eggplant Pita certainly looked like a challenge to eat by hand. It was quite large. The pita appeared to be toasted more on the outer side than on the filling side, and that made for a very attractive plating. The same delicious falafel as in my side dish was further enhanced with the addition of greens, tomato, onion, tzatziki sauce and some things I didn't recognize. My wife said she would request more tzatziki sauce in the future. My wife decided to try Coconut Water ($2) for her beverage. No surprise, it tasted like coconut. I tried a mango flavored Aloe Vera drink ($3). It had no mango in it, but there were pieces of aloe vera gel that would not come up the plant straw. Yes, you read that correctly, they don't use plastic straws, and their straws are not paper. The straw is made from agro-waste, a renewable resource. Management stopped by our table a second time before we left to follow up after all our food had been served. All the staff we encountered and observed were very friendly and dedicated to seeing that customers were satisfied with their experience. read more

I visited last week! Honestly, I really wanted to like this place, but the food just didn't deliver. you don't come to a Mediterranean/Middle Eastern spot for the decor, you come for bold flavors. And that's exactly what was missing. The seasoning felt extremely toned down, almost like it was intentionally made for people who've never had real Mediterranean food before. Everything tasted... safe. Flat. No depth, no punch, no soul. This cuisine is supposed to be vibrant, aromatic, layered not this watered-down version. The beef kabob was the biggest letdown. First of all, nobody even asked how I wanted it cooked. It came out well done dry, tough, and honestly a struggle to cut through. That alone tells me there's a lack of attention to detail in the kitchen. A proper kabob should be juicy, tender, and cooked with intention. At the end of the day, this place feels like a toned-down, "intro to Mediterranean food" version rather than the real thing. Small details matter and here, they were consistently overlooked. The rest of us went for the Mediterranean dishes, and everything was fantastic. The Fattoush Salad with chicken was a hit, and the Gyro Pita and Kabuli Rice we shared were super fresh and flavorful. The owner was amazing--he helped us set up, went over the menu with the girls, and made sure everyone was happy. He even brought out a complimentary Baked Kofta Pita (that sauce... unreal!). Delicious fast casual concept! I went here on a Saturday night and was so impressed with how beautifully decorated the space was. You order at the counter before you grab a table in the dining room. The menu was really impressive - everything from kabobs to salads and various Mediterranean starters. We ordered the Mixed Grill for two, which came with a chicken kabob, beef kabob, and kofta kabob served with rice, pita and a dip. We chose hummus as our dip. We also ordered a Greek Salad and the meat dumplings to start. Our salad came out first and it was really fresh tasting. The dumplings were brought out next and they were delicious. The sauce that was on top of them was awesome! The mixed grill was served next and it was a huge portion! We loved all of the meats and the rice was delicious too. I was super impressed with how fresh the pita was - it was definitely homemade. The creamy sauces that were served with the mixed grill were fantastic too. My friend and I went here for the first time today and we had ordered two matcha's, we had asked for a drink carrier which was given to us however the quality of the carrier was very cheap and even after ensuring the weight was balanced on the carrier the carrier was very flimsy and the drink had fallen in the lobby. It was really nice trying a different cuisine. My husband ordered the lamb platter and hummus and he said it was delicious. I ordered the beef kabobs with baba ghanouj, my only problem was I like my beef with a little red in it, the beef is was well done. I'm not sure if u can order it less cooked or not, but it was still delicious. Because it was our first time there I found the ordering a little confusing, we were not sure what actually came with the meat because we were told you get 2 sides with your dinner. With the help of the staff we finally figured the menu out. The service was great and very patient with us "newbies". The place is bright and airy a lot of places to sit and enjoy your meal with friends. I did observe that there were many take out orders which was great to see. I ordered the Mixed Grill for Two with Beef kabab and the Ground Beef & Lamb Kofta, I picked hummus and the seasoned rice to go with it. It also comes with the garlic yogurt and I got an extra one because I figured it would be in a smaller container and they did not give me my extra one so I was very annoyed. I have not had good hummus since I lived in Austin and I went to the co-op on Guadalupe Avenue. Peeta and olives hummus is as good except it's creamier. If you like hummus you should order it at least one container for each person if you really like hummus you should order at least two containers for one person. The food was excellent. The other reason I ordered an extra garlic cream sauce is because I got a side order of stuffed grape leaves AKA dolmas. They were great but it was annoying cuz I felt like I had to limit the amount of garlic yogurt sauce I got to dip my dolmas in. I prefer Tzatziki but I wanted this garlic yogurt sauce. I also ordered Pita and I put the hummus on the pita in the extra Pita I made a little pita hummus some of the meat and rice baby roll and ate that and it was yummy too. The food was awesome. Everything was really good. If you have stomach concerns like acid reflux just know you will know you have acid reflux. So I can't eat here again for another year.
