Fried chicken wing and rotisserie chicken wing. I wanted to try both.
    Syrita P.

I went to this restaurant because I heard they had excellent food and i wanted to support a local business. The food was good unfortunately the customer service no where to be found. For the area it appears this is what the customers are accustomed to. The food was good but not sure if it is worth the price considering the lack of customer service. I still wanted to try the cuisine for myself. I ignored the visibly irritated young man who took my order and acted as if he had something more importation do despite me being the only customer. I ordered one rotisserie wing, one fried chicken wing, a shrimp wrap and a slice of carrot cake. Both of the chicken wings were well seasoned the rotisserie was my favorite. I enjoyed the shrimp wrap and the roasted veggies that were on it but it certainly could've had more shrimp on it. The carrot cake was ok not great, too much frosting for my liking.

So, I had a taste for A Shareef's salmon platter. Well I thought I had taste for Shareef's platter. My platter was like a microwave dinner. It was like they took some saffron rice put a little canned salmon and broccoli in it and stuck it in the microwave. Then put some sweet sauce over top. And there is my platter. For $10 the platter should at least have some chunks of fresh salmon. And the sauce is a bit too sweet for me. I couldn't even finish a fourth of it. The wings looked good. But for $2 a wing I didn't want to take the chance and be more disappointed.

    Salmon Platter with extra sauce!!

I have always heard of Shareefs platters and wraps. I phoned in my order so that I wouldn't have to wait. I orders the salmon platter. Which was 10.00 plus tax. When I arrived my food was hot and ready!! All I can say is the platter was flavorful and delicious. I'm a lover of sauces and the sauce on top of the platter was amazing, they should definitely bottle it. I will be going back. Next I think I will try the rotisserie wings!!

The rotisserie wings were good. Skin was kind of flabby though and fries were basic. Not the best but decent if you are hungry.

I've been giving out a lot of 5 stars recently, but this is a place that really deserves it. It's a must visit. It'd been many moons since I had escargot, so I got it. Despite one cooked snail being basically impossible to scrape out and my fine motor dexterity isn't great, it was delightful. My wife loved her seafood stew. Our shared side of the grilled Zucchini (definitely enough to share) was also a highlight. We've been raving about our fried clam sandwich and lobster roll since. Both were amazing; my wife said it was the best lobster roll she's had (we've never been to maine or anywhere known for lobster). The dessert passion fruit pie was a great way to end, also shared, but the crust was a little too thick and the dollop on top did kind of over power the curd. The birthday sprinkles (it wasnt either of our birthdays) were cute. We will be back. Especially to try the raw bar (We're pregnant and didnt want to risk it).

The ambience is very cute - there are multiple floors to the restaurant so one given area doesn't feel overly crowded. The cocktail menu has some fun and unique options and the food menu has something for everyone! We got the mussels to start, and honestly I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture. But the sauce was delicious and I loved the potatoes that came with it. The mussels themselves were very large too! For my main I got the hake, which was so tender and flavorful. It was a generous portion and I was stuffed, but we kept seeing other people order the coffee cake and couldn't help ourselves. I'm so glad we got it, because I'm not normally huge into coffee cake, but this was so delicious that we finished it all! Our server had great recommendations and was patient as we took a long time deciding what to order. I can't wait to come back!

The Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes were the star of the meal--packed with large pieces of sweet crab meat, lightly seasoned, and cooked to perfection with very little filler. The Haddock was fresh, flaky, and perfectly fried with a light, crispy coating. We also ordered the Pot Boil with crabs, shrimp, and snow crab legs, and it did not disappoint. The seafood was fresh, generously portioned, and seasoned just right, making it a fun and satisfying meal to share. What made the experience even better was the outstanding staff. Everyone was incredibly attentive, friendly, and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed and taking the time to answer our questions with a smile. Their excellent service truly elevated the entire dining experience. If you're visiting Baltimore and love fresh seafood, Faidley's at the new Lexington Market is a must-visit.

Worth the hype. On my last visit last month, I went and got a Catfish Filet and Medium Tea. The Catfish is what took this review from a 5 Star to 4. I was very unsatisfied and disappointed in the Catfish. The breading was icky. Too much, not tasty, and funny looking. The tea was ok. I will skip that as well on my next visit. I will try the Shrimp Platter upon my next visit. I would like to end this review on a better note. Customer Service was very pleasant and the atmosphere, seats, and the tabletops were clean. Ok, that's it.

We ordered the small raw seafood tower, the steamed seafood platter, and the lobster pasta from the large plates section. We are a family of four with a pretty big appetite, and it ended up being the perfect amount of food for us. Everything was delicious and incredibly fresh. The raw tower came with cocktail sauce, mignonette, horseradish, and lemon slices, and the steamed platter was served with melted butter and nicely seasoned spices. There was also hot sauce and Old Bay seasoning on the table so you could customize everything to your taste. Once the seafood arrived we got fully busy with our hands and all the tools provided, which honestly made the whole experience even more fun. I genuinely cannot pick a favorite because we enjoyed every single thing we ordered. I also tried the Orange Crush, which I learned is a Maryland vodka drink made with freshly crushed fruit juice. That drink was dangerous because it tasted just like orange juice, but the vodka definitely sneaks up on you. Since we were celebrating, dessert was on the house, which was such a thoughtful touch. We shared the cast iron baked cookie with salted caramel ice cream and it was the perfect ending to the meal. The cookie was crispy around the edges, soft and moist in the middle, and the slight saltiness from the ice cream paired so well with it. Our server, Lylah, was wonderful and made sure we always had everything we needed throughout the meal. This ended up being such a memorable dinner for our family. Highly recommend The Choptank for seafood, celebrations, and a fun dining experience in Baltimore.

The waitress made a bunch of mistakes that she never apologized for like not bringing a bottle of wine we ordered until an hour after we sat down, accidentally ordering an additional seafood platter and not removing it from the check, not including fries with a dish that came with them, then charging us extra for them when we asked her to please bring them. In total lunch took over 3 hours when it should have been half that at most. Good help is hard to find these days it seems.
