This place is overrated .. if I didn't have to put a star it wouldn't be one.. gave the tailor a week to fix a blazer and matching pants.. gave direct directions on how I wanted the pants to fit.. one leg was longer then the other which I got blamed for because they said I put on my pants INCORRECTLY and that's why her measurements were off.. after trying the pants back on I mentioned that the pants weren't skinny/straight leg like I asked for while remeasuring the tailor told me she could only do the outside of the leg instead of the inside because it was going to take too long! I am beyond upset I paid for service that I didn't get!! read more

I dropped off 2 dressed to be shortened. She had me slip on the dresses, placed a couple of pins, and that was it. Dropped them off on Saturday, picked them up the following Friday. $26 to hem 2 dresses. Hems were straight, very well done, and dresses were just the right length. They were even nicely pressed when I picked them up. Will definitely go again. One draw back, she only accepts cash. read more

I hate to leave this review because they are so nice, but I have taken two different pairs of jeans into them twice each to have them repair then replace the zippers. The first time I just asked that they repair the zippers, but less than a week later both zippers broke again. That was on me since I just asked to repair them. The second time I asked that they were both replaced since the repair didn't work. After a week and half of having my jeans I went back and she told me she only repaired them again and did not replaced them. Well they are broken again. I am disappointed that they didn't do as the customer asked and did what was easier for them. I don't think I will going back. read more

I went in today to have the bottom hem of my husbands golf shirt fixed. Its a typical Under Armour golf shirt with double stitch along the bottom (it unraveled in the washing machine). The minute I walked in the lady at the front walks away...the tailor, comes up shortly after and asked 'what do you want' and I began to explain that the hem was unraveling and just needed a quick fix - that she could hem anyway she saw fit. She looked along the bottom and said "i dont have that machine that can do that" and then goes on to say "thats useless" and walks away without another word. Im assuming she was saying that the long string that was still attached was useless? Either way, it was unacceptable and poor customer service. Both ladies made feel feel like I was an inconvenience to them. A quick google search lead me down the street to Jenny Tailor (5706 E Mockingbird Ln # 170, Dallas, TX 75206) - let me just say, SO MUCH BETTER!!! I received a text from them letting me know my alterations were complete... 2 hours after I dropped it off :) Strongly recommend Jenny Tailor over this place. read more

This place is a fantastic 'old school' tailor and alterations shop. The ladies are super helpful and incredibly skilled. I brought in 4 suits that I bought before losing 50 pounds over the past 4 months. Needless to say, there was a lot of cutting required and I really didn't think they could possibly turn out very well. I was pleased to put them on and have them fit like they were newly tailored for me from scratch. I was just treated in a very rude, unprofessional and disrespectful way at this place of business by the owner, I went to get the straps of my dress altered, in which I've used this business several times, I went into the dressing room to change into my dress, I came out, and within 3 seconds the owner jerks my straps and rudely asked, is this ok??? I had to move my shoulder to check to see if it was "OK" and she commented again in a rude manner "IS THIS OK??? AND FOR ME TO HURRY UP BECAUSE SHE DOES NOT HAVE ALL DAY"!!! I told her I will not be talked to in that manner and I will take my business elsewhere and I will tell all of my friends to do the same, the customer service is garbage!! I went @ 3:00, HER business doesn't close until 6:00, so my time is obviously not as important as her time, I went down the street to Janey Tailor and was given excellent customer service and the appropriate time to make a decision on my alterations. Good if you want something done quickly at a fair price. I probably wouldn't take a ridiculously expensive piece there but for most everything else that you need done efficiently, professionally, and quickly it is great! If you are a super picky person or get offended easily then I would probably go somewhere with a tailor that will spend more time catering to your needs. Ms.Kim is a little blunt for first impression but when you get to know her she is very sweet. She has been doing this for 30+ years and is one of the fastest tailors I have seen so far. First time I came here was on a Saturday around 8:30am. The lady who manages this tailor was very rude. I did nothing to provoke her, just brought a dress over to get it hemmed. She was cursing under her breath, and grabbed the dress from me like I was bothering her. Maybe she was having a bad day? Maybe work has been stressing her out, whatever, but don't take it out on the customer. Whenever the dress was done, I came and picked it up, and she apologized to me for being rude last time. She was aware of her behavior; I accepted her apology. Months later, I went to her again (because hey, we all deserve second chances) to get a bridesmaid's dress hemmed. I picked the dress up, tried it on, and saw she even messed up on that! The front of the dress was longer than the back. I didn't even want to complain to her, afraid she was going to mess it up again. So I took the dress to a tailor nearby. Thank goodness it was salvageable. So yeah, I can't trust this tailor and I won't be coming back here again. Giving her two stars instead of one because she apologized. read more

If the place is old, cheap, and too good to be true, it is! For those who are familiar with original hemming (commonly used on denim) known as Euro hem...this is NOT the place to go. I can't tell if the outside or inside of the alteration is worse. My pants now look like they have 2 hems and are ruined! If you are looking for simple, cheap workmanship this is the place for you. I am surprised this lady is in business...my guess, people don't care or they don't know the difference between a good and bad seamstress. I will never go back. read more

The prices are reasonable but not very accommodating. I went here once to get a pillow zipped fixed and was turned away quickly. I offered to buy the zipper myself and still no. Then went back to get the shoulders of a dress taken up and was told there's no shoulder seam to work with so she could do nothing. A better tailor would offer alternatives. Won't be back. read more

I had some suit pants shortened for $5, and I was able to pick them up later that day for no additional charge. I think if it's under $10 or $15 you do have to use cash (or maybe a check is okay?) so that's kind of annoying but other than that I don't have any complaints! read more

I had a few items that needed to be hemmed and repaired in a timely fashion due to a new job I just landed (finally!). I first went to another tailor across town who informed me she had a 3 months wait list, so with that news I immediately thought of this place. Who can forget these Yelp reviews about good work, a little foreign karaoke,and possibly intoxicated people working on your clothes? It all sounded pretty solid to me so I went with it and had a great experience. Not only were they able to turn my clothes around quickly and at minimal cost, but they also went above and beyond. I took in a pair of pants in which the hem had come out on one leg, and she agreed that going ahead and fixing the hem on both legs would be best. Not only did she doe this, but I discovered the sewn pocket that had come undone some months ago was also sewed back up neatly. Nice! The other items she repaired for us were done very well to where we can't even tell where the repair was made. Will absolutely return here for our tailoring needs in the future! read more
