Where should I start? Our Nest is the place to go if you're looking for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The food's flavor, ambience, and customer service are all remarkable. I do like the tables in the bar area, but the patio sitting is really cool. I really couldn't choose just one dish to suggest because they are all so flavorful and excellent. I want to caution you, one visit and you'll be hooked, regardless of whether you are coming in for their dry aged Tomahawk steak, spicy enchiladas or French toast. read more

It's apparently quite a popular restaurant, and I can certainly see why. The food is fresh, well prepared, and delicious. The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable (delicious coffee). We have visited twice, both times between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m., and unfortunately, experienced the same issues on both occasions: slow service, lack of continuity among servers, and very slow food delivery. Waiting 45-50 minutes for breakfast at this price point is excessive. I understand that the food is prepared fresh; however, I've been to many breakfast restaurants serving comparable--or even better--meals that deliver them in half the time. On both visits, multiple waitstaff attended to our table, and I'm not sure we were ever assigned a primary server. That in itself isn't necessarily a problem, but on both occasions (very minor) special requests were missed. After already waiting nearly an hour for the meal, it didn't seem worth asking for corrections (so I didnt). I consider dining out to be a total experience, and while the food itself is very good, the service issues have been consistent enough that we won't be returning. The restaurant was packed when we left, so clearly they don't need our business -- but I wanted to share the feedback nonetheless. read more

Found this place on Yelp. Loved the patio area. Everyone was having breakfast or Mexican food -we had sandwiches. Service was ok but the young ladies need more awareness on dining protocol. We were in the middle of our meal and a server (not our main one) dropped off the check. She did not ask if we wanted anything else (maybe we would have ordered dessert or coffee) or if we wanted the check. It was really a big turn off. My husband said "we're still eating". The owner Sam is super friendly and welcoming. Shelby was super sweet and took care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. Cody and Makenna were also very helpful and attentive. We are long time patrons of the Fullerton location and have enjoyed the distinct breakfast and lunch menus of it and the Brea location. We have attended the occasional set menu dinners in Fullerton so we were excited when dinner was offered here. But life got in the way and we did not try it until last Friday. OMG the whole experience was exceptional. JP is such a creative and exacting chef. The short rib special was cooked in and served in a deceptively described "red wine" sauce given the layers of flavors. The Checca Pasta was fresh, creamy and perfect with Chilean Seabass. read more

We've been to the Fullerton location quite a few times and were always treated like family. This new expansion is no different. Sadly, I don't remember our server's name, but he was very friendly and a joy to speak with. The greeter was also very warm and welcoming. I love how open and roomy the new place looks and feels. The new balcony is such a vibe, and everything is so clean and fresh. I'm sure the bar will be a hit once more people discover this new gem. Let's talk food! They're known for their French Toast, so you can never go wrong ordering it. The breakfast burger is also fantastic. The cheese sauce it comes with--dip your fries in it. It's so good!! If you like coffee, I recommend their Americano. I plan on trying the matcha latte next~ If you have a large dog and can afford it, order the Tomahawk and take home the bone. Your dog will love you forever. Haha! Lastly, I just want to say that the owners of this place are great and are sharing their dream with us. When we heard that Our Nest in Fullerton was going to open another restaurant or course we wanted to go. The Nest breakfast in Fullerton is great! When we arrived at the Nest in Brea for lunch we were greeted by the staff that saw us and welcomed us to sit where we wanted. A young lady came over to our table and introduced herself as Sarah. We told her it was our 1st time there but always went to breakfast at the fullerton restraurant so she was happy we came in. I ordered a Chicken Grilled salad it was delicious & the presentation was done very well. Service was great staff was very attentive. Ambiance was great. We invited some friend to go there with us for dinner. Dinner was wonderful! If I thought lunch was good dinner was beyond words. Our friends really loved this place. I had the Chilean Seabass, wonderful cooked perfectly, my friend had the Shrimp Diablo which she loved. Her husband & mine had the Italian Stallion which they both loved. Overheard a heated interaction between workers right next to our table, food took almost 30min, pancakes were very dense and hash browns were greasy, 2 fruit bowls were $15 and neither were halfway full in the bowl they came in, the fiesta bowl was a plate of lettuce, beans, and cheese with cold chicken and a dressing that tasted very much like Clorox and was the most expensive dish we ordered at $24, our server was friendly but seemed busy, while he did check on us before our food came he wasn't able to after we got our plates, another worker brought our bill. Barely scrapes 3 stars... only because the food was good. Heard good things about their other location so figured we'd try this. Had a long morning and had bought coffee and of course we were greeted with no outside drinks by the waitress. That's fine, I get that. Didn't argue or give a face because that's understandable. But, I had told her table for two please and it looked like she was writing my name down for two. We went out to put the drinks in the car and came back and waited. 10 minutes go by and everyone around us is getting seated. I ask some other dude and he said our name wasn't even on the list... Did she scratch our name off when we walked out to put the drink away? lmao, anyways we waited another 10 minutes before finally getting seated. You can't see how busy the restaurant is from the waiting area but when we got seated I was surprised to see tons of empty tables... Good stuff! Same waitress from earlier had the nerve to come by and ask if we wanted coffee lol. Overall food was good albeit pricey. But, you can tell some of the workers don't care. First time here and was sadly disappointed. Upon being greeted we were allowed to sit wherever. After 15-20 minutes of sitting without even so much as a menu, I asked a busboy to call a server over. Finally, a server came, but still - no menus provided. Drink menu was luckily at the table but I had to steal food menus from an empty table nearby. Then the drink order wasn't placed correctly (coffee served cold instead of hot). Finally, our food order was placed. Several minutes later, the server comes over to apologize for entering the food order late. After more waiting, we finally received our food - and then we realized no silverware was provided. So overall, not the best service. The food was also under-seasoned and relied heavily on their salsa for flavor. read more
