One of the few places in the area I hadn't tried yet. Today was the day. Took a couple co-workers with me. Small funky quirky joint with a half a hot pink VW Bug in the front grassy area sticking up as though it was driven into the ground and half of it was submerged. The interior and exterior are dated but appear clean. The floors slope, dramatically near the restrooms. The server and all of the wait staff were very friendly. While we were there a lady started experiencing some sort of discomfort which ultimately resulted in a call to 911. This was minutes after we sat down. Our server was trying to help, she was on the phone w 911 asking questions related to the party of the affected guest and relaying responses to the operator. We understood this took too priority. She apologized and attempted to take our order while trying to help the lady. We waived her off and insisted we were good until the situation was resolved. A young lady that also worked there was sitting eating her lunch obviously on break or possibly done w her shift came over and asked for our orders. Soon thereafter the emergency personnel arrived. Our server came over and actually apologized again about the situation. I'm all for an apology if it's your fault or within your scope of control. This situation was beyond everyone's control. The staff handled helping the lady very well and still tried to take good care of us. Really nice people and the service and treatment of the situation alone warrants 5 stars. The food. One guy had an omelet w bacon which he enjoyed. They serve breakfast all day. Another co-worker ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. She really liked the chicken. Said it was very juicy and flavorful. I had to get an appetizer of cheese curds and shared. We all enjoyed those. Second best cheese curds in the area. Hot and gooey! I had the grilled chicken salad as my meal. I concur the chicken was very well done. Minimalistic approach on seasoning but juicy and well prepared. Other popular items we saw other patrons ordered mainly consisted of burgers and a couple spaghetti specials. The food was good. Not exceptional by any means. Broad menu. Lots of options. The service and treatment of a serious condition of one patron while maintaining composure and the team coming together to help out really stood out as exceptional. If in the area this is an excellent dining option. I'd recommend skipping the couple of recognizable chains and going here. read more

The service was very good and the waitress was very friendly. The restaurant was very nice and clean. Coffee was great. I had the chicken fried steak with the home fries and a biscuit like another reviewer suggested. It was okay. The home fries were not what I expected. They were frozen fried potatoes. My husband had the hash browns that were so much better. Nothing was great. I could have gone to the freezer section of the grocery store and got the chicken fried steak and biscuits, the canned good aisle for the gravy, and cooked it all at home. Since it is very limited places to eat in Ozark, we decided to give this place a try. After all it has the most rating out of all restaurants around there. I want to give this place 5 stars but I can't just because when I ordered my fried pork chop, it was not cook well. When I cut through it, blood came out and I'm pretty sure you can't eat pork rare. Lol So I tried to get the waiter attention but no one was looking at our direction. The owner of the restaurant saw that I was waving so he took the pork chop back and apologize and said that they had a new cook that's why the pork chop wasn't cook properly. They made me a new one, which is really good. I had green beans and fries with them. Despite my food didn't cook properly first try, the service was great. My husband and I ate here while passing through Ozark August of 2015. I had the chicken parmesan, and hubby had the burger and fries. My dish: the chicken portion was shiesty, more breading on it than anything else. The red sauce had ground beef in it, as if it were intended to be used in spaghetti, and the "garlic bread" was nothing more than a buttered slice of Texas toast with some weak seasoning sprinkled on it. The vegetables obviously came from a can. Hubby's plate: he says the burger was pretty good, but could have used some seasoning in the meat. It had a nice thick patty and fresh vegetables. The French fries tasted like they were fried in the same oil as fish, and were also on the greasy side. He says he could tell the oil was old and mustn't have been changed in days. The service was good, and the décor was nice... but we were not impressed with what we had, and when we pass through Ozark, we won't be stopping in at Our Place.
