If I can give this place a thousand stars and more I would! 2 times a week I will call ahead and order breakfast after my overnight shift. The staff is always professional and kind when I arrive to pick up my order and the food is always good! I have never had any issues with any of orders! There's a reason this place is always packed. Their bagels and cream cheeses are the best in the area (five out of five stars). It wasn't crowded today so we stayed and had breakfast. If you haven't read all of the funny signs on the wall then you're in for a treat. Fluffy and delicious bagels for the win! Service was speedy and we were in and out with two breakfast sandwiches and a half a dozen bagels / cream cheese in ten minutes. They have a variety of bagels and cream cheese to choose from, and I really enjoyed the veggie cream cheese. I'm weird and get my bagel sammies without egg, so I went with bacon and cheese on a bagel. I wish there was a bit more cheese, but they made up for that with the bacon. This was basically like a bacon sandwich and was stuffed with lots of crispy and well-cooked bacon. I'll never say no to a bacon sandwich. If I lived in the area this would be my go-to bagel spot. They also have yoohoo which is important. Next time I visit Mahopac I'll be back. read more

After several decades up here, I discovered, with the help of one of the owners, this Bagel Place that has just about the best bagels in the area and better service than one of the chain bagel outfits. After a chance encounter with one of the owners and the chief bagel maker, I decided to try these "New York Style" boiled bagels. Much to my surprise the bagels were just like the NYC bagels I used to get when I was a kid. Their vegetable cream cheese was very good also! Today I stopped by to pick up some more bagels and decided to get lunch while I was there. I had a Turkey BLT w/Chipotle mayo. It was outstanding! There is room for about 12 people to sit indoors and about 8 seats at two tables outdoors. The staff is cordial and very pleasant. This is a place where I will definitely return to have lunch and restock my bagel supply. There is a pretty wide assortment of bakery items, which were screaming my name. However, I exercised some self-control and left with only my 6 bagels. I can give Our Town a solid recommendation. read more

Hate to give a bad review of my favorite bagel shop. I go there quite frequently for sandwiches. Today I ordered the eggplant sandwich which come with tomato, spinach, mozzarella. The eggplant was actually raw, unable to eat raw! The mozzarella was hard, its usually somewhat melted. I was very disappointed with today lunch. I will continue to patronize this shop but I won't get my favorite eggplant any more. The crispy fries were delicious! read more

I ordered the italian combo on a round bagel platter and brought it to an airbnb with friends for my birthday weekend. After a few rounds of drinks, hot tubbing, outdoor activities and such, we were starving. This sandwich was the bruce almighty of the weekend. i've lived in mahopac for 20+ years, and i've pretty much dined in every restaurant, diner, or bagel store/deli up and down Rt. 6 . Hands down Our Town Bagels is my family's "go to". The food is always fresh, the quality is by far much better than anywhere else. My son worked in bagel shops for years ~and had as many free bagels as he wanted~ but he goes here instead and pays . It's so worth it ! Today i had a cheese omelet and hash browns made with onion and peppers. It was delicious ! It trumps every bagel store and diner in the entire town . The baked goods are top quality as well. muffins and cake and scones ! I am a scone fanatic, but in most places they get dry. The scones here are fresh and moist and delicious ! Stopped in to pick up bagels for my family on our way to go skiing for the weekend, was excited because of the convenience but was quickly mistaken. The shop itself was dirty and the bagels looked dry and burnt but I was desperate to get back on the road. The last straw was seeing ants on the floor on my way out and I quickly threw the uneaten bagels out in the trash. Had to go out of way to stop at another place for food because of the unsanitary conditions of this place. Not to mention when I commented on the conditions of the place to the woman behind the register she was rude and scoffed like it wasn't her responsibility to keep her shop clean. We visit this establishment quite frequently when I want a good bagel, sandwiches are really good too. They serve breakfast and lunch. Recently tried a simple glazed donut, it was really fresh and melted in your mouth. Staff is really friendly and service is fast. I recently stopped into this establishment and witnessed a patron confronting the owner Christina about having an affair with a married man with children. I think it's completely inappropriate and disgusting that the owner put herself and her business in this position. Great place, extremely friendly service. Everyone is treated like family and it's one of the many reasons why I go there. Breakfast sandwiches always hit the spot. Bagels are fresh and tasty, the scallion cream cheese is excellent. I highly recommend #9 on the breakfast sandwich menu. Chicken, eggs, hash browns, cheese and onions on a roll. Delicious!!! Lastly, I always have to buy a cup of their coffee. Even though I make a pot every morning, I just need a cup of theirs to make the breakfast experience that much better.
