No, but it really is a-okay and curbed the hunger we worked up riding roller coasters for hours. The food follows a southern theme, but that mostly consists of fried chicken with a few different side options. I went with a two piece fried chicken meal, which comes with fries and a biscuit. When I asked if I could substitute fries for mashed potatoes with gravy, I got an eye roll and a hard "no" as a reply. Rude! Really not sure why this was the case since the mashed potatoes are actually cheaper than fries on the sides menu. I was allowed to get a side salad instead of fries, which consisted of wilted lettuce, cheese and croutons, and I ordered a side of mashed potatoes separately. The chicken was surprisingly crispy and flavorful on the outside and juicy on the inside. The mashed potatoes were of the standard bland boxed variety, and the biscuit was very dry and tough. Also, there are several signs outside the restaurant promising "cold beers" inside, but the cashier confirmed that no alcohol is sold here at all. The wrap-around porch that offers outside seating is a nice touch and is a relaxing spot for a break from all the coaster fun. And if your luck is anything like mine, this is also a great place to wait out the rain for an hour.

I ordered the Mom Burger, which is a Swiss burger topped with mushrooms on a brioche bun. It also came with a good portion of fries and a side of pickles. The burger itself was pretty solid -- good flavor and a satisfying size. At $16, the portion felt fair considering the amount of fries you get with it. One thing I noticed was an additional charge for sauces. I asked about it, and they explained that all their sauces are made in-house, which is why they charge $1 per sauce. Honestly, that makes sense when they're homemade. Now the star of the show for me was actually the drink. After looking over the menu a bit more, I decided to try the LA Metro coffee drink with almond milk. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but for $5.99, I have to say it was really good. Definitely something I'd order again. I also want to mention the customer service. The girl working at the counter was extremely nice -- probably some of the best customer service I've had in a while. She didn't rush anything, answered my questions, and was very professional and friendly. I asked about the specials, the cakes they offer, and even whether they were doing a St. Patrick's Day platter, which they are. Overall, it was a really good experience. Good food, great drink, and excellent customer service. I'd definitely recommend stopping by Taylor Sam's if you're in the area.

The LOs had the kids menu Chocolate Chip pancake - one without the whipped cream. I had the avocado toast which I took off one star because underneath one of the toasts, it was burned/blacked, which is carcinogenic. Otherwise the other one was really good. I had a cappuccino and it was tasty. My beaux had one of the brunch specials and I thought it was tasty but he wished the braised meat was more fatty, but I personally thought it was perfect. :). The diner was festive, busy, and pretty noisy which we thought would have been a good spot to mask our noisy group. . I miss the Brownstone when they had one in Jersey City so it was a nice chance to check out this other location of theirs.
