Great food, and great service from our server, his name was Joseph. He made sure multiple times everything was ok and tasted good and that we had a great experience. It's been 7 years since I've been to this outback. I gave them a 2 star rating then and again this time they get 2 stars. First, they were 70% empty and after 5-10 min they were not able to set us at a booth. Finally, they set us at the booth closest to the restroom. Yuk. Again, the place was 70% empty. The bad hadn't even started. Ashley was the waitress. The food came out 1/2 cooked with black hair on the plate. She argued that it was ok. I simply said do whatever they do to cook it more. We eventually finished and left. We paid full price for 1/2 price service and food. I'll wait another 7+ years before coming back. Maybe theyll do better next time in 2026? There are a lot of steak places in Anderson. ALL are better then Outback in my experience! read more

Well this Outback has got to be the worst one I've had curbside take away at. I have built over 36 outback's but not this one. I ordered (3) 11 oz sirloins medium well and nobody could chew it because it was so tuff!! I also ordered a 16 oz prime rib it was ok but they forgot to put in the Au Jus sauce in which that makes my prime rib delicious, but this is my only time ordering from here. read more

My husband and I ate here on a Sunday night. Although the food was good, I had endless shrimp and filet and my husband had the ribeye, the stars are for the service we received. Our waitress did everything possible to make our dinner out pleasurable. The steak was first overdone, then really underdone, and she insisted they cook it a minute or two longer til it was perfect. She always saw when the "endless shrimp" was almost gone and made sure I had more if I wanted it. When they were out of cocktail sauce, she made her own homemade concoction for me. We came today for lunch and to use one of our gift cards. I ordered the steak quesadilla and my husband had the lunch chicken quesadilla special with fries. My husband loved his quesadilla, it was cooked perfectly and had lots of flavor. I did not love my quesadilla. Half of it was cold and had hard cheese slivers in it, and the other half was missing the chipotle sauce that should have gone in it. I did let my server know about my meal and she had Josh the manager come by our table and he was wonderful. Josh is a shining star at this restaurant. We love Outback and come often, but tonight makes me second guess ever coming back. There were 5 in our party. One person received a sirloin instead of a filet. One person's ribeye was supposed to be medium and was well. Another was supposed to be medium and was well. My husband and I both ordered medium rare steaks, and they arrived well done. We sent them back and received steaks that were still not cooked properly. We never received one of our sides. The server never offered to get the manager. I love outback in general, but this place takes the cake. I ordered the half rack of ribs meal and he offered me the kids meal- perfect for me! I actually do think the guy was from Austrailia(?) cause he had the accent down! We were sat promptly and the waiter was super! Our refills came just in time. The ribs literally fell off the bone as soon as the meat was even touch. They were so tender, I'm drooling just thinking about the goodness of the ribs. Sauce amount was perfect, I love the Outback sauce. I rate Outback salads #1. Always fresh. I had just enough food, so I didn't have room for dessert- but my sweet potato sufficed as dessert/side. If I drive by this place again, I'm definately stopping. read more

Everything at this Outback was amazing. We ordered Ahi Tuna, Bone in ribeye, and Alice Springs chicken and everything was perfectly prepared. The salads were cold, fresh and perfectly prepared. If I could I'd give this 0 stars Outback used to be my favorite restaurant but now it's my least it's a terrible experience everytime. I've been the last 4 times and It's been a bad time takes way to long to get food it took a hour and a half when there was barely anyone there someone behind us got there food before us. The floor is always soaked almost slip everytime. I come in there my bread clearly had mold on it and I asked for medium rare steak and got rare done this is ridiculous. The steak at outback is not worth it go to longhorn Texas Roadhouse anywhere but outback place has fallen off never going again. There was so much drama when I walked through the door I didn't know if I was at the Dr Phil show or I was going to eat dinner. Most of the employees are immature and not worthy of working there or anywhere Outback needs to learn who to hire and who not to. read more

We visit this location frequently and always have wonderful service. When we do, we often go with friends who have severe allergies. The managers and wait staff at this outback are very accommodating. Their attention to detail is greatly appreciated. Greeted warmly by a bubbly hostess set the tone for a positive dining experience. And, being seated quickly with a party of seven led me to believe we were in for a good dining experience. Our waitress was hospitable. She rushed a tad when taking orders and it was evident when my order arrived at the table. I ordered the new shrimp bernaise filet mignon and loaded baked potato. What arrived was clearly a well-done sirloin with absolutely nothing on it. The waitress assured me she would quickly get my shrimp and bernaise sauce. I waited. I waited. And I waited. My party was finished eating and my steak was room temperature at best when she arrived with the missing items. I stated that my steak was cold and my appetite was gone, too. She was gracious enough to comp my meal and the drinks of our party. When I mentioned to my table mates that I would write a review, a friend wanted to make sure I included that the bread was stale! We were warned by our waiter that food was slow coming out. I wish it had come out a lot slower so I could have at least enjoyed my mug of beer longer before being presented with a Blooming Onion that was fried to dark brown frazzle, a much anticipated Prime Rib that was so thin and full off fat and grizzle so as to be uneatable and a "loaded" baked potato that was in serious need of a reload. The speed of the food delivery was only matched by the delivery of the bill which arrived within 10 minutes of our food. There are SOOO many more places around town to spend $85 on dinner for two, why would I ever go back here? I'd be happy to wait somewhere else! read more

Tonight we went to Outback with the intention of having BBQ Ribs. During our wait, they brought around a sample tray of prime rib and it was so good that it swayed my vote. My dinner date stayed with her original plan. The ribs were superb, as usual. The prime rib was also excellent, but I ordered it very rare and it was served medium...the center was pink and warm. I absolutely will not send meat back because I refuse to waste it (only in very rare cases have I done this). And this cut was actually very good even though it was a bit over cooked for my taste. The overall experience was positive. Great atmosphere. Great attitudes. Great time. But they got the order wrong...sorry, but that counts against them. read more

I recently relocated to the Anderson/Clemson area and stayed at a neighboring hotel for about 7 weeks. Outback is a 3 min walk from the hotel, 4 minutes after 2 glasses of wine. Needless to say, I've spent a lot of time at this Outback. Alex is the best bartender there - or at least she is the best that I encountered. She's friendly, attentive, great at multitasking, and her accent is adorable! She doesn't work Wednesday's or Sunday's so avoid those days. I've met the manager and the GM of this location and both were great. They actually rolled up their sleeves and got to work and that's refreshing to see in management. The food was decent and the service was fast. As you can imagine, being right off the highway and surrounded by hotels, you get an eclectic and transient clientele but I always felt like this location had a Cheers vibe to it. Which is why I kept going back over and over. When you stay at a hotel for such a long period of time, connectivity is everything. I love the people at this Outback. Except for that one snotty bartender who's name I don't remember. But that's my fault for going on a Wednesday. I've since checked out of the hotel, but I'll be returning to this Outback. The most disappointing restaurant experience I've ever had. They were out of ranch, rice, bacon, sirloin, and shrimp. The worst part is that they did not disclose to us their supply shortage until AFTER we ordered. Appetizer cheese/bacon fries were delivered to our table without bacon and ranch (which come standard per menu), we had to ask why, we were then told they were out of both bacon and ranch. I assume they were hoping we wouldn't notice. Then told us they were out of rice, choose an alternate side. After waiting for 50 minutes for our food, waitress then tells us they are out of sirloin and shrimp. Yes, you read correctly, Outback was out of sirloin and shrimp by 7pm and did not bother to tell us until 50 minutes after we ordered. I also had to ask for high chair for our 2 year old, silverware, and remind of drink refills repeatedly before any were provided. read more

Talked some buddies into eating here on our way back home from a trip into S.C. as I knew the food to be good and service to be quick, especially at 5:15pm - so I thought. Sat at the uncrowded bar - the drinks came quickly but then had to wait so long to get our order in (15 min.) - the bar tender got busy - that the place filled up. "One bar tender at dinner time??" - fire the manager. The guy worked hard but he wasn't skilled in efficiency - needed some better training. Finally ordered and 40 min. later the food came. It was good - but the wait was not worth it. The managers non-"apology" was - we all agreed - the worst we'd ever heard. If you got the time - it's still a good place to eat. read more

Outback Steakhouse is...you know what the heck it is...ha-ha-ha...(I consider OBS to be a reference point of where I do not want to go when asking where a good steakhouse is...actually the universal...at least in my experience...of a good "cheap" steakhouse is Texas Roadhouse...and others usually agree). Atmosphere - It was OBS, so dim lighting and "Good Day Mate" lots of...not sure...it is freak'n dark in there...ha. Food - I ordered the Pizza...no you freak...I got a steak and for as much busting of balls...it was actually good...for the price. I got the fillet accompanied w/grilled vegetables and sweet potato w/lots of butter. Got a drink...my usual...and it was all good. The steak was made exactly to order...medium. Service - Again, I had a cute barmaid/tender. I was grumpy so I was not the best customer and she was a trooper so I tipped well to make up for it. Overall - The whole meal, w/tip came in just over $30. Not bad, for a freak'n tasty $17 fillet and good service. Maybe I should lighten up on OBS. After all, they just want to wish me a good day. read more

Outback Steakhouse serves up the best steaks in Anderson. Period. Sure it's not the cheapest steakhouse in Anderson, but their signature sirloins, crisp Bloomin Onions, and fresh house salads are worth every penny. Did I mention their Sirloin is unbeatable? Did I mention their Bloomin Onion is wonderful, oniony goodness? Sure the interior might be a bit loud, but the atmosphere is great and the food makes it all worth it. Also, customer satisfaction is priority. When I was in highschool, my parents and I once ordered an Outback Steakhouse meal to-go, went to pick up our food, and came back home. However, we discovered that they had given us someone else's meal by mistake (I think it was chicken alfredo and some sort of fish), so we called and explained what happened. They told us to come back to the to-go door, where they gave us the meal we originally ordered, and let us keep the incorrect order for free. We were able to eat both meals while they were still warm (and in case you're wondering, their non-steak entrees are just as good as their steaks). read more

My wife and I went out for our Anniversay and It was great the food was cooked to perfection, large portions, and the waiter Tyler was one of a kind, he kept coming back to make sure we were happy. If you go here to eat you will not be disappointed. I am so glad I did not pay attention to the reviews.
