I'm surprised to read the bad reviews on this location. So as a warning, I ordered take out from this location during the COVID lockdown. I ordered from the website and waited outside in my car. The server prompted brought my food out to me. She was wearing a mask and the handoff went well. The order was correct. They also included bread and utensils. I can't speak to how it is to dine inside, but their curbside service is great! read more

This place is the pits rude service waited for ever for our food. Ordered a beer from the bar it got to our table way after we got our food it took like twenty minutes. We were sitting next to a large party and was pretty much ignored. But the outback in Beckley WV need not concern themselves because sooner or later it will catch up with them and they will close. We stopped here traveling from Myrtle beach back to Michigan, after being in the car for 7 hours with an 18 month old and 13yr old everyone was just hungry and ready to eat then get to the hotel. With that being said the service at this location was by far the best customer service I've had in a very long time. To the point my 13yr old son commented on how nice everyone was. The manager came out and spoke to our table and insisted on fixing my moms steak that was slightly over cooked.. My dad ordered a beer and a water and the water came but not the beer... we ordered our meal after 30 mins or so waiting for his beer and the bread that every outback has....(20-30 mins go by) my parents are out of water and I'm out of sprite then our food arrives, my mom got a salad with medium steak in her salad, and my dad and I split a Caesar salad and a ribeye. Our salad was in a bowl about the size of my hand spread out, and the steak looked like a 5 year-olds size plate. Oh! and keep in mind we still haven't gotten refills!! My mom's salad is fine till u get to the steak...(remember she ordered medium....not rare) well,well,well guess what her steak was... RARE!!! My steak was cooked perfectly as well as the shrimp and broccoli. The bartender Emmett was friendly and efficient. The manager Alex was running around putting out fires that some pretty rude customers were starting. He handled some pretty intense situations with professionalism and grace. Stopped on way to vacation. Waited 1:15 minutes for our food & wasn't crowded. Three out of four steaks not right. Two had to be sent back. The other there was no hope. The waitress was pleasant. The manager was very nice. He said he would knock off 50%. He did knock off $50.00 but not 50%. I think someone needs a lesson in steak cooking. The fries were cold and tasted like the grease hadn't been changed recently. The bread was cold. I've loved this Outback restaurant since I was a young boy. Even as a young adult I still enjoy coming here. This place has always been top of the line. When you dine here you will experience friendly staff, tasty food, great atmosphere, and spot-on music. The shrimp on the barbie was my most recent entree, mashed potatoes, and the new blue cheese pecan salad was tangy and fresh. Our server, Myka, had drink refills and extra bread on the table before we could even ask for extras. We were well taken care of today, as alway. Keep up the good work Outback. read more

Would give this place ZERO stars if I could. I frequent the hotel next door due to work travel and the first time I got take out from here it was just okay. Food wasn't really hot and not as good as the outback where I live. The second time I ordered, my food had MAGGOTS. I ate a couple of grilled shrimp which get served on garlic bread and as I pulled the shrimp off there were maggots all in the bread. I'm disgusted and now worried about getting sick. Had to throw away the rest of my appetizer, salad, potato, and filet mignon. UNACCEPTABLE. read more

We have not been to an Outback in over a year due to Covid so we were quite surprised at how the quality had gone down. It took over an hour to get our food and the quality was certainly not up to the standards we had come to expect from Outback. The coconut shrimp was tough and tasted like it had come out of a frozen box. The ribs were fine but the kids food was subpar. Our server was trying but the delays in the kitchen were unacceptable. Me and my family's came in here one evening and had some of the best service I can remember. Out waitress' name was Holly, and she was friendly, relatable, and professional. I ordered a medium rare steak and it was undercooked. Now I'm not one to complain or send back food so I chose to eat the majority of it, and she kept checking in on me to make sure I enjoyed the meal, until the end where I could no longer handle it. So she offered to have the cooks cook it a little longer so I did that. She brought it back to me as quick as she could and made sure that it was to my liking. Ugh. That's how I'll start my review. Went here last night, while in town visiting family. Four of us Sat down about 7 and we're seated quickly. We had a free Bloomin' Onion from the last time a family member came and had dirty silverware. The onion and drinks were brought out quickly. Then the problems started. After we ordered, three Outback specials, a steak salad, and two apps, it took 45 minutes to get our apps and about another 20 minutes to get the salads, which of course was followed by the food about a minute later. The steaks, which we had order medium were great, as always on the outside but the inside was rare..I mean rare. Anyway, not the best experience of a two hour meal, but the staff were friendly. read more

On our way through to visit kids we stopped and ate dinner here. Inside was clean and appropriate social distancing was honored. We each ordered the ribeye and they were very tasty and done perfectly. I ordered the sweet potato which was very good - not too sweet, and my husband had the fries. He said they were typical fries. I did have an amazing cocktail! Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of it but it has something to do with sangria, vodka and blackberry juice. OMG! I had two!!!! This is the second time I have eaten at this restaurant as I have traveled through to family. The first time I stopped I had my food delivered to my hotel room which was right next door. We decided to stop in Beckley on our way from Pittsburgh to Asheville North Carolina and spend the night. As we approached the hotel, we spied the Outback Steakhouse nearby and given our long trip, we thought a good steak was the perfect dinner. Neither of us had been to an Outback in a long time. The women at reception were welcoming and they laughed at my husband's little joke. We immediately felt at home. The waiter, Eugene, was attentive, welcoming and extremely helpful as we mined the menu. My top shelf margarita was perfect (kudos to the bartender) and when the tap blew, the staff graciously gave my husband what beer had come out, before it blew, on the house, (it wasn't full, but it made my husband happy). The steaks were perfectly cooked and the seasonal medley of vegetables were not over cooked. The mushroom appetizers are addictive when dipped in the sauce. The squash, zucchini and carrots were wonderful. Overall, for food on a road trip, we were delightfully surprised and a special shout out to Eugene who made our visit perfect. We will stop by on our way back to Pittsburgh next week for lunch. read more

I don't often write reviews, and I'm easily pleased, but I felt compelled to write this review. My husband and I stayed the night across the street and wanted a quick bite, so we placed an order to go of the steak salad and Cobb salad. My Cobb salad was little more than an iceberg lettuce salad with a bit of egg and a few tomatoes thrown in. My husband described his steak salad as 'pathetic', we ordered his steak medium well and it was rare with lots of iceberg lettuce. On a bright note, the service was good as my husband waited for our order at the bar. Don't think we will ever be traveling though this town again, and I'm okay with that. read more

Ordered curbside as I was driving back to Lewisburg. Those two ladies were great. I found out this Outback had added the best and most flavorful ever clam chowder I have ever had on the menu again. I ordered a bowl of that to go along with my 7 Oz. Filet dinner. When I tasted the chowder it was bland. Tasted no bacon, saw no minced carrots, hardly a potato or clam, definitely had no crab oil flavoring, which is expensive but definitely part of the ingredients that also sets it into another level of delicious. I was disappointed to say the least about it. The filet and sides were awesome though. Apparently management is taking shortcuts because of costs on ingredients for clam chowder. read more

A major restaurant chain with no working beer dispenser...ok I will just take a local beer, sorry nothing local but I have a North Carolina beer, ok I will take one Now the food hey how about and outbacker burger with swiss cheese and bacon and to keep it simple fries.
