Love the steaks and salmon. Nice wait staff. I like the spices that they rub their food with before they grill it. My only complaint is that it seems like the portions got a bit smaller around a year ago. But I still get plenty to eat. read more

Well it was good service, Salads come out on piping hot plates! Wilt! Ordered steak and all you can eat shrimp. steaks were so over seasoned could not even eat them, fried shrimp was good garlic were awful sides were on the wrong plates! Lately, the service here has been something else to be desired. A previous time, we had a table of 4 and our order was taken before other tables around us with more guests, but those tables had their entire meals served before ours. We waited nearly 45-minutes for our food and had to complain to the manager. They blamed the kitchen for being "backed up" and not familiar with their new "promotional menu". Previous to that, my in-laws went in and had to send back their steaks THREE times since they were either under-cooked, over-cooked or under-cooked each time. Another time, the power went out during the start of our meal and their back-up generators did not come on. We stayed for about an hour waiting, drinking our sodas and eating our blooming onion and were told that we could leave without paying the bill, but weren't offered any other compensation for the inconvenience or their back-up generator failure. Yesterday, we went there for my husband's birthday dinner. There were three of us - we all ordered the Sirloin Special with Lobster tail. To recap, I had the 6-oz cooked medium rare classic. Husband had the 8-oz cooked rare wood-fired. Dad had 6-oz cooked medium rare wood-fired. What is delivered to our table? I get an 8-oz cooked medium rare. Husband gets a 6-oz woodfired. Dad gets a 6-oz cooked classic. They had swapped our steaks, it appeared. The server didn't even know how to resolve the problem and admitted "she didn't know what to do" and asked if we wanted to "just switch the steaks". Um, how about no? Then she sent the manager and the manager wanted to know if we wanted to eat our lobster tails while she had the steaks sent back. Um, how about no? If I wanted my meal piece-by-piece, I would have ordered it that way. So, I asked for all three plates to be sent back and made correctly and brought out hot and all together. The floor manager came by to apologize. The proprietor (owner) came out to serve the new plates and apologized. Our entire meal was comped, so they did right and took accountability, but their service has been slacking for the past year. I'm not sure if it's the kitchen staff or servers or insufficient training, but something has been off since we've never had anything but an excellent dining experience here and we've lived in the area for over 3-years and been going to this Outback for well over 5-years, at least. I know my in-laws have been going for over 10-years since they've lived in Howell that long. read more

I hate chain restaurants and this reaffirms why. 35 minute wait for a salad and two quesadillas. Empty water glasses most of the meal. 15 minutes to get our check. Our waiter apologized, however the restaurant was not busy and if he was overwhelmed then the two managers meandering around should have stepped in and assisted. Won't be back. read more

When I came here, I waited 20 minutes just for my order to be taken. After that I waited close to an hour for my food. When I received my food it was cold, I sent it back. When I received it again it was warm like they just heated it up. It was an all around disappointing experience. read more

The start of the meal set the tone, and it was not good. I've had better bread from a bag in the grocery store. Our salads were something you would get at a school cafeteria - ice berg, cherry tomatoes and a few basic croutons. Meh. My entree came... one piece of salmon with NOTHING else on the plate! I asked about the veggies it was supposed to come with and they informed me that I used my "1 side" with my salad!! I asked for the veggies but they never arrived. What a terrible and odd experience. I do not recommend this location. We were here with a large group about a year ago and had a great experience. Not the case this time around. Wow. Our server (jerry I think) seems to have a group of buddies in his section and they must tip great! He has spent all of his time catering to them and eventually came around to our table. He said he was ready to take our order so I asked for a prime rib. His response was that they are running low. Idk what that means so I said well I'd like a prime rib. He scampered off to get his manager. When she came over she appeared confused as to why she was asked to "swing by". We were equally surprised. The manager reported back with the prime rib that was available to order and the server continued the experience with quite a little attitude and a rather large chip on his shoulder. The service alone is reason to find another restaurant. The greeting committee at the door was pretty weak too. More concerned with telling stories about shenanigans going on in the kitchen than working or taking care of customers. read more

My wife and I went to the OutBack Steakhouse on September 10 for dinner and that is the last time we will go there. We thought we were lucky to get in so quick but little did we know there was a reason for it. I had over cooked Lobster, rubbery and dried out with a Filet that was full of fat and that was over cooked. The broccoli was burnt!! It wasn't crowed because the food was terrible!!! It took the rest of the evening with a lot of breath mints to get the taste out of my mouth. Our waitress even said the food has gone down hill!!We will never go there again. read more

Went to outback for a family birthday. Everything was great except the steak. I got the bacon bourbon ribeye and it was too salty to eat. The manager did take it off the bill but it was disappointing. I'm not sure why a steakhouse is ruining good steaks by using a super salty seasoning. Others had the sirloin and said it was good. Most of the time when you go to a restaurant with your wife & kids you take something good out of it. This Outback was the worst dining experience we've had in a long time. The waiter was abrupt and unfriendly, the rest of the staff seemed like they didn't care. Our table and dishes were unclean. The food was not near as good as it usually is. We won't be coming back the Outback soon and this location in Brighton, we'll never come back to. Absolutely brutal customer service. I shouldn't have tipped our waiter, but I have class. read more

This is the worst outback in the state. The hosts lie about the wait time. We did call ahead, had to wait two hours, go there at the time then waited another 45 minutes before leaving. The host then told us we'd be seated after three other people. They're also the only outback I've ever been to that doesn't have potato soup everyday. Extremely rude service from who we think was the manager on 8-7-2016. We called for takeout before closing. She consistently reminded us that they were closing at 9 but still took our order... We called 20 minutes before. We arrived right at closing to pick up and she angrily was slamming doors and making more rude remarks. The parking lot had a ton of cars in the back and front so I know they were not empty. Just don't understand why there was so much rudeness, we didn't call at closing. She made us feel uncomfortable making an order and rudely exclaimed that the takeout person had left because they were closing and kept repeating this to make sure we knew but took our order anyway. She then made sure to let us know, again our order would be ready at 9:10. Past closing. When we arrived there were plenty of cars in the parking lot and I know we were not making them stay any later. We even arrived early. Sighing multiple times while getting us to sign our check and hand us our meal. I mean really? All of this for an extra 7 minutes of time to hand us our meal after closing. We had a coupon and she angrily asked if we wanted to use our discount from our dine rewards card as we eat there at least once a week, and under her breath exclaimed YEAH OK... Wow, wow, wow. The worst Mothers Day ever! My daughter is moving this week this will be our last Mothers Day together. My husband took the whole family there including our new son in law. He didn't get his meal the waitress forgot to place his order and never noticed he didn't have food she was kind enough to offer him the mistake salad that the table behind us gave back to her. No he's not a dog! I didn't get my side of shrimp I told her to NOT bring it because I thought I was going to throw up after three bites of my odd tasting steak she took this as oh let me go get it and shove it I your face. Really? So I climbed on my son in law throwing up all the way to the bathroom. I could have eaten my baked potato I guess if you ask for extra sour cream they just decide you need butter instead. One daughter ordered ribs my husband ordered a side of ribs both were just a chunk of fat with bones. I have another daughter that doesn't eat meat but is willing to go just to make mommy happy if she can get a chocolate shake pretty sad that not one person out of the six of us could take more than one sip. The malt and chocolate content was so high good lord if you have diabetes don't ever order a shake! PSA warning! My husband ordered his steak well done no joke I think they just put a piece of steak on his plate and sent it out had to be it. Since he didn't have his potatoes or his ribs. When he sent it back to get cooked he asked if they could remember his potatoes this time why idk but she brought his side of fat ribs back on a side plate he told her he didn't want those. She brought his potatoes at the same time on a side plate. No he ordered a meal not sides. He finally got his steak took four bites and started feeling like he was going to throw up. Yes that's what happened in the parking lot. My oldest daughter couldn't cut her steak she had plenty of time since she was waiting on steak sauce finally she asked my husband why? He said because it's raw and that white stuff is fat don't eat it. I didn't know they have a one drink policy there?!? Or she just forgot to get that along with everything else? Like maybe common sense would tell you to bring more than two breads for a table of 6 when 4 are adults I didn't ask for more wasn't offered more if I want some I'll go to the day old bakery since it was cold and hard. The best part is the manager really had to ask how to fix things. Wow let's try feeding my son in law taking everything off the table getting me a drink because I just thru up and you have to ask that's funny. Just amazed that the person that delivered the food, the waitress, and manager couldn't figure out that this very large man didn't have any food. My husband and I spent the day in bed sick my daughter that are the ribs also did. The one that ordered the shake was crying this morning before school that she was hungry please don't ever take her back there again. My husband had to use a vacation day and call in last night because he can't leave his work station to use the restroom. I tried to write a review on Outbacks face books page but it's getting reviewed before they post. What's the point of having a write a review if your just going to let the good ones post? I tried to notify headquarters but they don't have a contact or message option guess they don't want to know they just lost a lot of customers yes all four of us posted this on all of our social media websites. Several (3) family members had to reorder their filets because they were not cooked correctly. One other member's steak was also overcooked but he chose to keep it because he was hungry! The manager was now handling the order and brought out the 3 replacements. This time the meat was severely under cooked and the manager wholeheartedly agreed! He also explained that the very thin cuts of beef were normal and came from one of the 3 or 4 suppliers they use, and he has no control over the less than 1" thickness. All in all we were there for 2 hours and over half of the time was spent waiting on food. The server wasn't exactly on her game either. There was a shortage of napkins and I had to request several times to get them as well as extra condiments. I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 because the manager was nice, compt the 3 meals, and offered free dessert for the inconvenience. Stay away from their tiny filet mignon! The NY strip was good. The Caesar Salad however was sub-par as the lettuce was going brown. Not a good experience. read more

we felt hostile environment at this restaurant, especially from the waitress. Bad service and the waitress dint even care to put the cutlery and napkins, and they dint even serve us the complimentary bread. We ordered Blooming Onion and it was good, but again no napkins and we felt we are unwelcome at the restaurant. It was over an hour of wait time after we ordered, and our hunger died till then. Our 4 year old son was restless and became cranky, because it took about 45 minutes to get mac and cheese. The waitress showed the most resentment, it was as if we dint even exist. We decided to leave, and informed the attendant at the door about our bad experience. The manager came and was apologetic, and offered to have us dinner on his tab, and offered the food to go if we wanted. But after the kind of treatment from Waitress, we dint have any appetite. Also the manager dint charges us for the Blooming onion and mac and cheese, and orange juice (which by the way was not in a Kidd cup). May be the restaurant is good, but because of a prejudiced waitress, its getting bad remark. read more
