    Steal lunch special

My experience was good. Thursday afternoon and server attended to me promptly. Ordered the lunch special steak and burger. Everything was cooked as requested and fries were very tasty and fried well.

Butter cake, vanilla ice cream, 6 layer chocolate cake

Had a couple kids looking for a treat tonight and decided on a whim to try outback for desserts. Place was humming and bustling on a busy Saturday evening, but we were seated quickly and greeted with a friendly smile both at the host stand and also by our wonderful server, Bryce. Bryce was wonderful and spoke to my children with respect and humor. He went over the dessert menu with us and he had barely just walked away from the table and 3 milks showed up. I was shocked. He did use a tablet while we ordered. With small kids, timing is everything, so this was awesome to me. The kids colored their cool little menus and we played tic tac toe while we waited. The manager Amanda came by and said hello and spoke with the kids. Once the desserts came out, (as if i didn't already), i knew i had come to the right place. Wow! Huge huge huge huge!. The 6 layer chocolate cake was almost as tall as my 4 year old. LOL The butter cake with strawberries was my favorite though. I'm so glad i tried that. Anyways. We really enjoyed our short time there and have decided we will def be back very soon. Thanks to everyone who made my kids night extra special. We could have gone to sheetz and grabbed ice cream, but we wanted something a little extra and honestly it was just about the same price as it would have been at Sheetz anyways! So glad i thought to stop by here instead. A++

Outback Steakhouse can be a hit or miss chain. This location is a newer one and they seem to be doing well. It was pretty packed when we came here for dinner. Both the food and service were pretty good. We enjoyed our dinner here.

We usually order their lunch special to go, which has been pretty consistent. So we went in for a late lunch on the weekend, and the food was kind of disappointing. The bloomin' onion was alright, saltier and greasier than I remembered but still OK. The lobster and steak pasta was not good, the lobster meat hard to chew and small, steak over cooked as well, and everything had so much salt they tasted bitter. The best item was the sweet potato. It was over $100 for the 2 of us with tips (1 appetizer, 2 entree, 2 iced tea), and the experience did not match the price.

During my recent Staycation - I opted to visit the new Outback in Gainesville, VA for the first time. It's in the physical space previously occupied by a Chili's Restaurant. I visited for dinner and sat at the bar. I ordered the 12 oz Ribeye (cooked medium), with a side of Shrimp on the Barbie (3 shrimp), with a side of sautéed mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and steamed vegetables - which consisted of Broccoli, Carrots, and Yellow Squash. Everything was tasty. I couldn't finish the steak, so took the remainder to go. For dessert, I had a dirty vodka martini - with 3 Blue Cheese stuffed olives. The Blue Cheese stuffed olives are not a regular bar menu offering - but the bartender - I believe her name was Britney, was willing to take the time to hand stuff them. Good food and good service. I will be back! #OutbackSteakhouse

Omg so many thoughts on this experience…read more I'm so glad i didn't immediately know it was a restaurant located in a hotel. This prob would have deterred me, even a little bit. The Apple map directions here confused me a little due to this, but parking was really plentiful so that's a huge plus! I went on a Sunday morning and lo and behold there was a hole farmers market or pop up set up all through haymarket! Busy weekend for a brunch but haymarket is SUCH a cute little vibe and town with so many hidden gems, like this one!! Literally every single item I saw waiters bring out from the kitchen looked so scrumptious, every person around us immediately began digging in and enjoying their meals...and honestly, no crumbs were left behind pretty much every time. We started ordering a yummy cocktail. I was really in the mood for the Paloma with grapefruit juice but sadly they were out of grapefruit juice fortunately, they had plenty cocktails available that were not explicitly on the menu! I ended up having a delicious espresso martini, prepared, right and honestly, I would have had another!! Not too sweet. Not creamy. And with 3 beans. Impeccable no notes. I ordered the red House breakfast. Man those home potatoes were so delicious....they clearly cooked them seasoned deliciously and then flash fried, so crunchy!!!! Amazing. I found that their execution on their meals was really impressive. My sunny side up eggs were cooked perfectly and paired so yummy with the toast. The bacon had delicious flavor too. I ordered a biscuit because I had heard that their biscuits were really yummy but unfortunately they did not have their bacon biscuit so it was just a classic biscuit. It was good, certainly dense and clearly homemade. My girlfriend got the poutine. Looked so delicious and was really enjoyed! The gravy was thick and flavorful! We sat down and enjoyed plenty of conversation and a really nice environment. Nobody rushed us, service was just the right amount of attentive without interrupting conversation constantly, and the floor to ceiling windows let in beautiful natural light and views of the town. It was the perfect brunch spot for a low-key, but delicious meal. Just a hair out of the way without being too far. I came out with a really good friend of mine to celebrate my one year wedding anniversary with her and it was the perfect possible location. Shout out to the staff for being so welcoming and kind, and even taking a picture of us when we asked to commemorate the occasion. I'm sure they are used to people walking in to the hotel lobby looking as confused as I was looking for red House Tavern.

Not the best experience for brunch. The waitress was unenthusiastic and came back to the table…read moremultiple times to let us know they were out of items including: the juice that came with the mimosa flight after we ordered it, another bottle of champagne for anyone else who wanted mimosas, (so mimosas overall, lol), the avocado toast, the poutine and another key ingredient in a cocktail we ordered. The food was average at best when it came out. Super disappointed. We came here for my mom's 5 year beating cancer anniversary and it wasn't much of a celebration.

They'll bring out a cup with ice and then a water bottle for you to pour. Their hot green tea was very bitter, and I didn't recognize the teabag that they used. Hibachi is always an entertaining experience and my SO loves it. We waited a long time before the cook came. The performance was fun and we got a lot of steak because we waited so long. They seemed like they were very busy, so the chef came quickly and left quickly. The scallops were really wet so it made the fried rice soggy. I would try to put the scallops on the side as soon as you receive them. Good yum yum sauce and well cooked food overall.

That said; We visited Musashi several times before this review. So right off the bat I can say that the service and the flavor of the food has been consistently wonderful! We have not yet tried the sushi, we always come for hibachi. We have sampled the tempura, Giza, and Schumer for appetizers. Enjoy the mushroom broth and salad that comes before the meal. We are never made to wait if we are the only two of the hibachi table, the shift comes out promptly and makes our food With flare into our taste. We routinely get filet mignon, rare. And it is made perfectly to order, and we frequently take home a second helping for later. From the hostess to the server to the chef and the bartender, we have always experienced excellence and courteous service.
