Outstanding food & service, and on a Friday night even! Ordered the onion well done and they made sure it was extra crispy.

It pains me to only give this place 3 stars but it's the best I can do. Went out to dinner there tonight to celebrate an anniversary. I had steak and shrimp and my wife had the sirloin. No complaints with the steaks. They were tender and tasty and done to our satisfaction. I have no complaints with the service either. The girl was attentive without being annoying. The first complain I had was with the booth we were given. We were asked if we minded having a booth in the bar area. We said no and that's fine. The booth was plenty comfortable but the table was too darn small to hold the plates and I felt constantly like my plate was going to drop off in my lap. The other complain I had was with the shrimp that came with my meal. I remember the shrimp on the barbie as being a treat with 5 or 6 big shrimp laid out on a piece of tasty bread and some remoulade sauce that was always a favorite of mine. No more, now it's 5 small shrimp, overcooked and laid out on the plate with some mushy greasy cherry tomatoes piled up around it. No sauce in sight. That was truly a disappointment as one of the reasons I wanted to go to Outback was to get the shrimp like I remembered getting there. Overall the meal and experience was ok but it sure didn't wow me. I will give them another trie but for God's sake get your act together on the shrimp. read more

I like Outback's food and most of the time the service and food is on point. Our last visit was this past Saturday (05/07/16). We put in online our names for call ahead seating, and people, PLEASE don't be confused and think that by putting your names on the list online that you will automatically get a table as soon as you walk in the door. This just cuts your waiting time in half from an hour to about 20 minutes or so. Also, please try to arrive early if you choose this option! A manager told me that some people will put their names in and arrive 20 minutes late and wonder why they don't have a table for them anymore. We walked in, gave them the name and got our little buzzer, went outside and enjoyed the nice fresh warm evening, before being buzzed back in there. We went in and were seated in one of the smaller booths (which i personally don't like because there's not enough room on the freaking table!) But it was Saturday night, prom night, and it was busy so beggars can't be choosers. The one thing I disliked about this particular visit was the service. Our waiter, (i can't remember his name), was really SLOOOOOW. We ordered 2 soft drinks and a beer for my boyfriend and the soft drinks came pretty fast but it took almost 20 minutes for him to get his beer! Our appetizer came out pretty quickly, which was a bloomin' onion, which they always come out fast and it was nice and crispy, just how i like it. I ordered the alice springs chicken with fries and the boyfriend ordered the no rules parmesan pasta with shrimp. It took a while for the food to come out, but we had eaten the appetizer and some bread so waiting wasn't that big of a deal. However, it took, once again, FOREVER to get a refill on our soft drinks. I would say at least about 20 minutes or so. And then another 30 minutes to even get the bill. That was the only displeasing part about my visit, but the food was superior and we tipped him decent enough because it was busy so we tried to cut him some slack. read more

Oh man where to start they got our order wrong then they brought out half hour party's food and had the other half waiting 30 min. For there food. They had no a.c we where sweating bullets this place gets 2 thumbs down the manager Phil came out and got our orders straight . Very disappointed with the service, it was slow, the cutlery was dirty and our beverages glasses we're also very dirty.

Never had a bad experience here. The take out is great and is on time 9/10 times. If it's not, they'll call you to let you know before you come. Dine in is always great too. They have several great waiters/waitresses, Scott, Chris, and Haley to name a few. Very good food and always accurate to what you order. This is a favorite for us and it should be for you too. read more

I've eaten at this particular Outback several times when visiting family in the area. Great staffing. Outback is going through some changes, they're tinkering with the menu, and pricing by creating new combinations of entrées and sides, as well as smaller portioned meats to keep the pricing moderate. The kukaburra wings introduced a couple years ago are great. You can trick out your plate with any number of add-ons and sides- expect 2 cups of mushrooms if you add them, enough to share. Back when this chain opened it was a hard place to get anything but shrimp as seafood but now they have a wood grilled salmon as well as other choices that are terrific. Steaks are still great, with great flavor and less of the seasoning that made the chain original taste. I'm disappointed that the rack of lamb is now the same number of ribs served as chops. I suppose that they had too many people sending it back for being underdone when it was a rack and they didn't know what to expect. For those who are into the triple decker burgers with cheese and bacon, go for the Alice Springs chicken which is just as caloric and artery hardening and one of a few items unchanged from the original menu. While the blooming onion is a high calorie starter that needs 4 to eat, at least ask for the orange mustard remolade they serve with the coconut shrimp instead of that mayo based dressing to save a few calories. Frankly when my wife and I pop in to our local outbacks during the week, we sometimes order just the coconut shrimp and baked potato (they have sweet potatoes too) and call it a night but the rack of lamb has always been my favorite. read more

Just had a very good meal BUT THE AIR CONDITIONING WAS NOT WORKING!! It is 90+ degrees outside and it was difficult to enjoy the food when it was sweltering at our table. I complained to our waitress and she explained that it was even hotter in the kitchen ( didn't make me feel any cooler). She said there was a condenser on the blink! There was a long wait but it was a Saturday night. Once seated, our waiter was attentive and helpful. He brought rolls right away and refreshed them as we were waiting for our food. I order the grilled salmon and it was extremely salty so I scraped as much of the seasoning off as possible. It was still too salty. Granted this location was swamped, BUT, is that not what on-line is supposed to do -- help with takeout orders? Food and service were fine on a recent visit. However, waiter missed giving credit for being a member of Dine Rewards although that's the first thing I mentioned. Paid by cash and did not keep receipt so have no proof of visit. When contacted restaurant to see if anything could be done, associate taking call was very polite and offered to check, but after checking had to tell me that nothing could be done. Recommended keeping receipt next time in case this is ever missed again. Everything else was fine regarding this visit, and I love Outback steaks, but probably won't be back for a long time as I felt disappointed that nothing could be done to correct an employee's error. read more

Came for a friends birthday we ordered four meals and drinks. Decided on ribs after seeing moonshine promo. $19 for " full portion " very disappointed in the fact you only get 8 ribs. Taste- not bad but much drier than usual, also are you guys taking the skins membranes off like your supposed to? What can I say? I love this OUTBACK! Joe one of the servers is absolutely the funniest, most sociable person you could have serve your table! My Filet was cooked perfectly! The salads are crisp n delicious. Crab avocado stack is great. The drinks are made perfectly every time! I highly recommend you check this location out and make sure you ask for Joe! Ordered curbside pickup at 3 pm today, to be ready at 6:20. I get there 10 mins after 6, to pay. However, it didn't arrive until 6:35. What is the point of requesting a specific time, if you can't meet it, as a business. I drove home, 40 mins, to find out my order was not correct. I called to speak to a manager, waited 10 mins on the phone to speak to one and got nothing but attitude! She kept explaining the kitchen was backed up and they should have called you. But they didn't and not once did I hear I'm sorry this happened and that we screwed up your order. I never raised my voice and calmly explained the situation and got nothing but attitude and not even an apology or how can I fix this issue for you or here's what I can do. Might want to check your attitude when dealing with customers, that your business needs to thrive in this day and age! Thank you for clearly pointing out that you don't care about your customers! Beware! If you are 21 or older and still have a "Vertical" drivers license or state issued ID this establishment will not accept your legal, state-issued drivers license ID as legit/proper identification that will allow you to buy a beer. After being on the road with family, stopped for dinner and a beer with my 23 year old son and he was refused service at the bar while we waited for a table. Mgr could not override this ridiculous policy...we will never go there for drinks again. read more

Called ahead and told there was a 45 minute wait and to arrive at 7. We arrive at 7 only to be told that all calling ahead does is cut your wait in half of the current time when you arrive! What's the point? Don't tell people to wait if it does no good. This is the most ridiculous call ahead program I've ever experienced. read more

We stopped at Outback while Black Friday shopping. Very busy even before five. We went to the bar to get a drink while waiting. The manager would not serve my 23 year old son because he had a vertical license. Said they would take a gun permit but not a valid Virginia license. Very bad practice. I traveled with my mom to Hagerstown for the weekend from New Hampshire. We stayed at the holiday inn adjacent parking lot to the outback. Since it was so convenient we decided to eat there Saturday night. It was a wonderful experience with Sarah as our waitress! The food was fabulous, and the pace was exactly as requested. Our experience was so great Saturday, that we decided to go back for dinner Sunday. Our great experience ends there. When we walked in, we were treated with disdain and snobbery at requesting a seat in the bar, even though multiple tables were open. Once seated, we decided it was a night to celebrate and each ordered a bottle of our favorite wine. After sipping our way through our first glass we ordered appetizers. It was then we noticed the manager Krissy kept walking by and staring at us. It was so noticeable, we mentioned it to our server. They said it was policy and not a big deal. We continued the same way through eating dinner and dessert. At the end of dinner we were distinctly uncomfortable with the amount of staring/watching we experienced, and cut our evening short. As we left I asked to speak with the manager who had continually made her presence known to us. When I asked if we had done something offensive, or behaved inappropriately as to warrant this kind of continued intense watching, we were told that its her job to monitor the number of drinks each customer consumed. Since we had each ordered a bottle of our favorite, we were already suspect and over the "limit". While I understand the need to monitor alcohol consumption to make sure customers and patrons are safe, we had 2 full meals each night, and had made it distinctly clear we were staying across the street and simply walking 15 yards to the hotel. Even after making such information known to the manager, she still stared at us while we ate dinner and sipped our wine. As mentioned before, the staff was excellent and gave us exactly what we asked for, management leaves a lot to be desired. I've never been this insulted by management in a restaurant before, and even though I appreciate the convenience of the outback to the hotel, I doubt I'll ever visit there again. read more

Some food very mediocre. Restaurant incredibly dark. Awful service! Visited on a Thursday night around 8:30. Place not very busy. The restaurant is very dark inside. You won't be able to read the menu if you have poor vision unless you bring a flashlight or night vision goggles. No one greeted us when we walked in. There were plenty of empty booths and I requested one. There seemed to be confusion among the three employees gathered around the computer as they processed my request. We were soon seated and a seemingly friendly waitress took our order, brought us drinks and said the bread would be out soon. A server brought us a very delicious blooming onion and walked away. Then we noticed we had no silverware or napkins. We snagged an employee walking by who turned and relayed our request to another employee who disappeared and returned shortly saying the silverware and napkins would be out soon. The hostess brought them. A server brought our meals and my wife asked for some ketchup for her burger. I asked about the bread. Coming right up. it didn't happen. I was halfway done with my flavorless 6 oz sirloin and old grainy baked potato while my wife sat waiting for ketchup when our waitress finally stopped. We made the request again. Soon she brought them out with no apology, no question as to the quality of our meals, just dropped off the ketchup and under cooked bread and disappeared. The hamburger was delicious. Towards the end of our experienced she refilled my water and asked wifey if she wanted another soda. Just water, please. The soda was flat, week, and had a weird tasted. If I hadn't been exhausted from driving over seven hundred miles I might have pursued the matter with the manager. I just wanted to eat and leave. I like Outback and have had some great meals at various ones. But I certainly won't return to this one when I'm back in town. And for that matter, Outback anywhere won't be seeing my business for a long time. There are too many restaurants doing it right. I like spending my hard earned money at such places. read more
