Waited like 45 minutes for a Togo order, had to go in and grab it myself because nobody was coming out to the spot and was told it was because the cameras were down, not sure about the glass door we were parked in front of, and there station was next to but maybe it was broken too got home only to find they didn't even give us all our sides.... Great cold soggy slop and not what you even ordered either! Definitely will remember this next time we want to go somewhere nice or get takeout. read more

Please let me say this... I am not the type of person who complains or sends food back. Also I am a vegetarian. I ordered a Truly seltzer and they were out... no biggie I had a beer instead. We ordered a blooming onion which was so strong it was inedible... didn't complain... I ordered a French onion soup.. a side Caesar and breaded mushrooms... soup supposed to be brought out when 2 other party members got their soup... when the other entrees were brought I was supposed to get my salad and mushrooms (my meat). Well prior to any other food being served my mushrooms were brought out.. uh?Well everyone got their soup... except for me who got my Caesar salad to go with my cold mushrooms. I am EXTREMELY UNHAPPY! I sent the mushrooms back. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN! BTW AFTER THAT MY GRANDDAUGHTER GOT FRIES... COMPLETE WITH HAIR! Omg this is the worst! read more

Ate there for lunch while they were having maintenance on their doors. They clearly went above and beyond to let everyone know what door to walk into, and Nowadays, that is exceptional. Had the 8 ounce, loaded potato, and salad. Everything came out well prepared, timed, and the woman who was working her tail off was able to go ahead and help myself and other customers with their request. I don't know what's going on with the mushrooms at outback that used to be incredible when they had a red wine demiglaze now everyone I go to looks a bit different. These ones looked almost yellow and covered with yellow sauce. They were still good but my guess is they decided to go for something less expensive in these trying times. I've got to be honest it has been years since I've been to Outback Steakhouse. Maybe two or three years before Covid at least. To be honest part of the reason I may be not used to them being open for lunch. But oh boy am I truly impressed with my visit today. My server was very helpful in updating me on the newest hit items in the menu. But I went with a lunch special that is an option until 4 in the afternoon M-F. The chili was very good. Alright I'm gonna be brutally honest, I dined here today so I will be rating 4 things, food, how fast the food got here, service, and surroundings. We will start at five stars and go from there. First off, the bread was okay it tasted the same as always. We got the onion appetizer and it was honestly as bad as always, minus one star. We have been here for 20 minutes and haven't got our food yet. Minus two stars. We finally got our food 5 mins later and their fries are still good as ever and the chicken tenders are still soft and crunchy. Plus one star. The people around us were lowkey racist and others were coughing. I don't blame this on the restaurant it's just the people so I'm not docking a star. Next the service, everyone was extremely nice and kept checking up on us every 5 minutes. Honestly I'm leaving this review as a 4 star because the service was amazing and the food was partially good. PLEASE!!!!! HOLD THE SALT!!! for lunch yesterday, we both had steak combos - mine with ribs and fries, and spouse's with coconut shrimp and veggies. the fries were SO loaded with salt/seasoning that i could only save a few by trying to shake the salt off - but, montly inedible. BOTH of our steaks were incredibly tough - mine was medium rare/ spouse's was medium. i realized later that overuse of the same salt/seasoning all over the steaks had dried them out horribly - even mine that was pink inside. if we hadn't had the heavy-duty steak knives, we wouldn't have been able to cut them at all. the only pleasant thing about our visit was the staff, particularly the woman who actually served our food (not the one who took our orders), who ensured that we had what we needed, including multiple wet-naps for my ribs. i wish i could have tipped her individually but i couldn't catch her and didn't want to make a fuss about tipping her in addition to the woman who took our orders. but, purely based on the food, we won't be back. many folks today watch their sodium intake; and, though i'm not that dedicated, i know when something is WAY too salty and i don't want it. read more

I have been here twice. The first time I left after I was seated and waited 40 minutes with no service - not even water. The second time I came here the waitress would only come over if we flagged her down. My medium steak was a hockey puck (picture included). It was odd - all our sauces and the macaroni and cheese were served in styrofoam containers. It was just a weird experience over all. I'll likely come back as I do like the blooming onion - but don't expect a steakhouse experience. read more

The server was new, which is fine. But every time I looked at her she seemed to look guilty instead of smiling. The other staff seemed to be making excuses for things to other patrons. The table behind us had two issues with their food and had the manager come out. The more important things for us, though, was the food and the cold climate. It is 32 degrees out. They have a heater attached through a plastic sheeting tent through one door - which didn't run the entire 45+ minutes we were there. My potato soup (from maybe a year ago) used to come out creamy while this one today was watery. I had the endless soup and salad, but was never asked if I wanted more. When asked how things were I said, "It was okay, but I've had better." No follow-up except to see if I wanted dessert. My husband's fried chicken lunch looked so pathetic - no garnish, luke warm, and not worth the $11.99. The lettuce wedge I ordered looked good but the blue cheese tasted extra salty - definitely not worth the up charge. This was my first time back year in a year, and I likely won't return. read more

Well we went to eat here about a month ago when we first relocated here. Food was amazing. We went yesterday evening after long work days excited to try the new Parm Chicken bites. We ll we didn't make it past the hostess booth in the front of the restaurant. No one was standing there when we walked in and a woman arrived after a very short wait. She looked at us and said nothing as she begun grabbing for menus. She looked up and said two? My fiancée said hey how are you doing. The woman said nothing then looked at me and asked the same... two correct. I was confused and also said well good evening and yes... two. The lady still said nothing. So we ended up sadly leaving. We went not too far away to Olive Garden where we were greeted nicely with an amazing dinner experience. Hey Outback, please talk to your hostess. We had lunch at outback and we were talking to our waitress Ashley Strong she was telling us about her day. She told us she was riding her bike to work (it was cold), and she was hit by a car she had a bruised up forehead and she said she was skinned up a little, the driver who hit her did not stop! We asked her why she did no go get checked out and she explained that they were short handed at work and she did not want to let the team down. We encouraged her to report the accident and get checked out as soon as she can. She did a great job serving us and we believe she should be recognized for her dedication to her job. I do not know if Outback has a employee of the year if so, we nominate Ashley for this award. read more

I am usually not one to complain about food at restaurants, but I was really disappointed this time. First of all, we did receive any bread with our meal, nor were we offered any bread. Not sure...maybe they have changed since the last time I ate at Outback, but I thought everyone got bread with their meals. We received a gift card for Christmas, so we decided to splurge & my husband ordered the Prime rib, which unfortunately came out and was mostly fat! I realize prime rib is supposed to have some fat on it, but this was a ridiculous amount of fat. I had more meat on my 6 oz sirloin, for half the price, than he had on his prime rib, which was very disappointing. I asked our server if that was normally how much fat was on their prime rib, and she said they usually try to trim it the best they can, she handed us our bill, and we never saw her again. Music was too loud and bassy. It was at a volume that I would listen to alone in my car. The volume was too high to listen to people talk at my table. The bass was turned up too. Waitress couldn't do anything about it. Lots of restaurants now have the bass turned way up to annoying levels. This is one of them. read more

I'm usually a big fan of Outback Steakhouse. This evening we went to the Jackson Michigan location. The service was terrible. We waited 10 minutes just to get a server. The restaurant was not busy, maybe 4 other couples. We could see wait staff talking by the bar. My steak over overcooked. The waitress seemed put out to order a new steak. No apologies. Sadly the service has gone down, we won't be going back to the Jackson MI location. read more

Service was very good. Server checked up on me every 3 minutes. I ate the lobster tail. Not the cheapest dish on the menu but so far taste pretty good. Nice clean place and family oriented. Not too many places open at 9:30PM so definitely a good option if you are coming through pretty late. read more

We drove an hour to this Outback because the local Outback closed a few years ago. It was 6pm and the place was packed with a full house waiting to get seated but we didn't have to wait that long. Our server was experienced but clearly stretched too thin. She did a great job. In our opinion, Outback has the best franchised steak out there and we missed the flavor. We were not disappointed. Portions are still generous and delicious. THANK YOU for bringing back the previous rice dish you offered! My favorite. I hope Outback will come back to Kalamazoo but we will be going back to this location again soon. read more

The food , kinda overrated, however, the ambiance of dining in what felt like 32 degree weather made the experience all that more memorable.

After being sat by the hostess, we have more than enough time to look over the menu and decide on everything we are going to order before our waiter shows up to get our drink order. The waiter comes back after a few minutes to tell us they are out of the stuff to make our drink, which was a sampler of margaritas. What bar runs out of stuff to make margaritas early on a Saturday night!? We are sitting near the bar and can see as one of our drinks sits there and 4 waitress come up and pick it up then put it back down while the other drink seems to be forgotten. One bartender picks up a stack of the orders that are yet to be made, puts them down, then continues to stare off in to space. Awhile later she is annoyed that the waitresses are getting pushy with her. As we sit wondering when our food is going to show up, we observe the waiters and waitresses seem to have no order to what section they are working and are a bit all over the place, the bus boys don't look old enough to drive and are moving at a snail pace, one had air buds in while working! At least 5 empty seats at the bar remained with dirty napkins and plates the entire time we were there. One hour and 15 mins after entering the restaurant, we received our dinner, most of it anyways. My steak was over cooked and a dry piece of jerky. We informed our waiter that we didn't receive a side of Mac and cheese ,as he showed up while we were nearly finished eating, and told him there was no real point in bringing it now. He was going to "see what the manager would do".. you really couldn't figure this out on your own. It was clear the manager had no control over these employees and they were not trained well to be efficient and present themselves professionally. Very unimpressed from the get-go. Customer service was horrible and a part of every order we placed was messed up. We asked for a medium-well steak, it came out looking rare af. We sent it back and when it came back out, it was bleeding so much that the pasta noodles underneath were stained red. I have had better experiences at this outback however this time was quite unpleasant. We ordered a strawberry lemonade however they were unable to make it due to the fact that their strawberries were frozen and currently being ran under hot water. This is the second time I have eaten at this establishment since moving here a year ago. The last time I went, which was months ago, I remember the service was okay but the food was lacking. I had ordered an alfredo pasta dish and had to order extra alfredo sauce because the noodles were dry, no sauce like you would expect and they charged an extra fee. So this time I went with someone and they wanted the grilled shrimp on the Barbie appetizer. We could not eat it, the seasoning was so heavy it burned our mouth. Even the server commented that she couldn't see the shrimp through the seasoning. That was returned. I ordered the Queensland Chicken & Shrimp Pasta that said "bold Alfredo sauce" Well the grilled chicken was so spicy hot I could only take one bite. I did not try the pasta as it was the same as what I remembered from my previous visit. Looked dry as a bone, there was nothing bold or saucy about it. Our server informed me that the seasoning was the same as what was on the shrimp appetizer. This dish should have come with 2 sides. I was offered neither but charged $4.99 for a side salad. I sent this dish back and ordered a hamburger, thinking they can't mess that up much. $12.99 for a simple burger was very disappointing. I was not happy with the quality of food here. Our server was very nice and her service was not lacking in any way. However, when I looked at my bill today I realized that I was charged $9.01 tip for a $23.08 bill. I had to call and speak to the manager. He said it will be corrected so I will wait to see. I remember hitting the 20% button for a tip, which would be around $4.60. It appears they charged me 20% of what my bill would have been had I kept the pasta dish. So, check before you submit your payments how much you are being charged for the tip. Outback should go lighter on the spicy seasoning that burns your tongue, not coat the food in it. Personally I like to taste the food I am eating and cannot taste anything if the spice is burning my mouth. They should serve pasta that is not dry. Either they are doing this to up-charge for extra sauce or they don't know what "bold alfredo sauce" means. The best thing about this meal was the bread before dinner! Loved it. The servers are really trying, I felt sorry for them. It's not their fault. I won't be returning to this establishment due to food quality, over pricing, over charging on tip, not receiving the 2 side dishes or even being offered, but getting charged for the side salad (I mistakenly thought it was my side dish) read more

I have been on hold for an hour. I placed my order for delivery at 11:00 this morning, to be delivered at 5:00. So far I have no food and haven't been able to get in contact with anyone for an update, just continuous hold. I'm hungry, I'm disappointed, and pissed off now. I have absolutely no intention of ordering from here again based solely on this experience, despite the fact we've actually gotten delivery from here every weekend for the past month. This is beyond awful and I'm SO ANGRY right now. Update: Food was finally delivered, three hours late. I was never able to get in contact with anyone. The ticket for the food was printed at 4:06, though, so who knows where my food actually was for all those hours. Everything was cold and tough. It's been awhile since we've been to outback. We've always enjoyed dining there. So surprised how bad it was. We were going to Texas Rd house down the road but there was a long wait. Big mistake! Should have looked at the reviews. There's a reason why there's a long wait vs no wait at outback's. First clue as we walked in we noticed the diners were mostly seniors probably over 70 yrs old. The place had a smell to it that didn't smell of food. Blooming onions which we loved were dark and oily like the oil never was changed. The steaks we ordered were rare and very salty. We ordered medium well. Service was mediocre. We kept asking for everything from our silverware to bread appetizers and drink refills. Just a horrible experience all the way around.
