I ordered a medium rare burger w/ lettuce and American cheese. What I got was no lettuce on the sandwich and in the carry out tray. The bun was a regular bun (not Kaiser roll/ brioche bun) a very disappointing Outback!!! The fries were so salty I had to put them in a paper towel and rub off the salt!!! I ordered from Outback Steakhouse in Laurel, MD and unfortunately, it really missed the mark. The Blooming Burger was the most disappointing--it was supposed to be medium well but came out undercooked and completely red inside. The salad was soggy, and the coconut shrimp was chewy, which made it hard to enjoy. The only thing that stood out in a good way was the sweet potato. I will say, the staff member who brought the order out to my car was very kind and compassionate, which I appreciated. That made me hopeful the experience would be great, but sadly, the food did not match the service. I've never been this disappointed with Outback before. read more

I looked at the Ziosk thingiee that shows a table the order total. I was surprised that the Pay Now button showed 2 charges of $2.99 for the wedge salad, and an additional $2.99 for playing a game on the Ziosk, which I didn't play. I complained and the server removed the game fee and one of the wedge salad fees. I complained again that the wedge salad, according to the server was 1 of the 2 sides that came with the Ribeye. She took the extra charge off, as she admitted she didn't tell me there was an uncharge for the wedge salad. I ate my meal( the potato was way over-salted) and the steak was OK. We visited last evening for dinner. In our experience, this location was in decline. Not last evening! We were greeted warmly by all the staff. Our server, Sam was above superb. My wife had prime rib, while I had a 6 Oz. Victoria's filet mignon. Paired with great sides, both dinners were most enjoyable. Both cuts of beef were cooked perfectly, juicy and tender. I came here after work one day and I was not disappointed. I sat at the bar and my waiter was very attentive. I ordered the Sydney 'shrooms for my appetizer and they were perfectly seasoned. For my entree, I got the ribeye, medium, with loaded mashed potatoes and asparagus. My steak was cooked to perfection. My only gripe would be the asparagus for some reason or another they were mushy and I was not a fan. The mashed potatoes were good. My drink was good with a nice amount of alcohol in it. The manager was nice he came up to me to make sure I was satisfied with the food and services and gave me a $10 gift card for my next meal. Back again and somehow I forgot about my previous experience because 15 min at the table and I'm just getting a water! I already know how this is about to go but I'm here so i'lol stick it out. There aren't that many people here and I can see my waiter waiting around and visiting his other tables. One person [not the waiter] came with the water with ice which I asked not to be included. My family came in at 5:45 on a Wednesday evening. It was very quiet at first. Waiter took our drink order first and because he ordered Aussie blonde but they were out so he ordered water. BTW They are always out when we come in. They brought bread out next takes our order. We got a blumin onion . It was very over cooked and tasted burnt. It was like that the last time we came. We waited and waited and waited. Waiter never checked to see if we wanted more bread or water so my daughter asked for some when our food came. Except the rest of the table needed drinks too. Our steak was tender but it was too spicy and salty. Potato soup tasted alright but it was clear not creamy. I felt compelled to leave a review because I am a Yelp girlie and usually a place with such a poor overall Yelp score wouldn't get my money, but we had a gift card and this was the closest to the house. It appears most of the prior reviews complained about the service and our experience this evening was excellent. Our server was Sam, and he was very attentive and nice and even asked if we would come back again. Additionally, at least three other times during our dinner did a manager or another server stop by to ask if everything was going alright. My steak was cooked perfectly and my husband enjoyed his wings. Of note, Sam also made sure to mention that the wings changed from 10 to 8 lol. We don't come here enough to notice but I appreciated the transparency. Overall we enjoyed our dinner and time and would come back again. They are doing a great job to improve the overall experience/service so it's definitely worth giving them another try. read more

I was iffy coming here as my experience by the PG mall location was ok. I loved it here. RJ welcomed us and made sure he got all our drink and food orders. Missing one star since the drinks didn't have the garnish as shown in the pictures and the person running food and drinks kept taking our stuff to other tables or bringing us someone else's order. This was not a great dining experience. The environment was fine and our waiter was kind, but he got our order wrong multiple times. Sometimes it was just ice when I asked for a drink without, sometimes it was entirely the wrong side dish. None of our steaks were cooked properly. We all ordered medium rare, and the steaks were incredibly raw. The Piña Koala drink was cute but not a good cocktail. Also, my friend told me thar 2/3 of the toilets in the women's restroom were broken. Shoutout to our local community heroes! Mikalah and crew are attentive, professional, and personable. The food and drinks came out so quickly and our table was cleared from any finished items right away. The food was very delicious! I wanted a quality steak and ordered the bone-in ribeye which was tender enough to only be lightly chewed! The presentation was so perfect along side fully loaded potato with a salted jacket baked like a giant fluffy potato skin! We ate our potato from the outside to the inside! Yumm! The Caesar salad was fresh and crispy with creamy dressing. Hubby had the decadent prime rib and loaded potato. Cheat day lines up nicely with date night! We had the salted caramel cookie and the carrot cake to send us over the edge into a food coma! We still have to sit through a movie... I am 51 now and I could settle for cuddling on the couch.... A friend and I snagged a nice booth table with no wait on Thursday around 7pm. Our server, Autumn, was very friendly and efficient, providing some of the best service I've ever received. I ordered the bloomin fried chicken with a sweet potato and broccoli. My friend ordered the chicken and shrimp pasta dish (forgot the exact name). I go to the pick up/takeout door and knock because I see no one back there. the manager or whoever this woman is, she never gave me her name when asked nor did tony when I asked. she comes to the door getting smart with me. you're banging on the door. I said I didn't see anyone so I knocked. i proceeded to tell her I do not work at her employer and I don't know how it goes. she then begin to curse me out. I asked her why she's being unprofessional and all I said was, if you have a job, do it. the owner tony was no help, they all seem to be friends or something because they started to gang up on me. it was tiny and like two other females who's names I didn't get. very unprofessional. definitely need new management etc. I shouldn't be getting cursed out for picking up a door dash order. I'm not a frequent customer of Outback, but a gift card encouraged us to make a reservation (it's super great they take reservations). The location has a very frustrating parking situation; a lot of big name restaurants in the area led to pure parking chaos. It took a few circles around the block to find a spot. Once we were in, we were so happy to have a reservation and not have to wait longer to eat :) We started with a Blooming Onion; it wasn't completely cooked through, there was blooming powder flaking off, but it edible, we didn't have to send anything back. I got the Boomerang Beer flight; it was nice they let me switched out one of the beers I knew I wouldn't drink; & the margarita's hubby and family got were strong. I ordered the tilapia covered with crab meat and mushrooms; hubby the ribs and chicken. The tilapia had an amazing flavor profile. It was a great cut of fish, seasoned well, not a lot of mushrooms :( but a fair amount of crab meat. I didn't like their smaller side proportions (and soggy over salted fries), but the salad was yummy. The ribs had a lot of sauce on them, which was delightful. The chicken was seasoned well, and very juicy. Overall Outback isn't my go-to place, but they provided a really great meal that didn't break the bank! I worked a little bit late today. It's Friday night I'm cutting, which means I'm trying to lose weight, so I was looking for a decent steak. So, I go to a steak house, right? It was just me, so I went to the bar and ordered a light beer. I asked the bartender What light beers do you have? He told me that they have Miller Light and Bud Light. And I said great, Could you give me a Miller Light? He says I am so sorry we are out of Miller Light. Well, I guess I'm trying the Bud Light, then no problem. I had my Bud Light; it was refreshing. I think I'm a Bud Light fan, but not by choice. I then ordered the 18-ounce ribeye. I haven't eaten all day. I went to a broker's open for one of my agents in the office and got a little chicken salad and some grapes around 2 PM, but before that, I hadn't eaten for 16 hours; like I said I'm cutting using intermittent fasting. So, I got my 18-ounce ribeye. It was underwhelming to look at. It had very little sear. The baked potato and my seasonal veggies look OK, but I was there for the steaks. I'm at a steakhouse. And as I'm cutting into the steak, I realize that inside, there's white and more white and more white. I've never seen so much fat on a steak. I mean, I was cutting into fat for quite some time. I got so frustrated I sliced down the middle to see where the steak started. Now I know why it's so many calories and fat. I spent so much time hacking away at this thing with the dull knives and a tough steak that I just gave up and asked for a box. The service was not very good. It's tough to blame the bartender. I felt he was OK. He seemed to need help with the big bar, so it's tough for me to blame him, but Jesus Christ. It's like he couldn't listen. He couldn't hear what I was saying. It seemed to be a bit crowded and since it was a pretty long wait, we decided to sit in the bar area. It took a while for a server to stop by our table, so we made sure to give our drink and meal order all at once. When our food arrived, my dining companion was missing his fries. It took a good 15 - 20 min and me flagging down our server for him finally to receive them. No real apologies about this mishap. I mean, what can I say about Outback...it's just Outback. When I was asked how I wanted it I said Medium rare. (I still like it soft) the plate comes out and it looks great. But once I cut into it I could tell it was over cooked. It was more so medium done area. Against my better judgment I ate the steak. It was so tough It was hard to eat because it was so chewy. The sides were good. For a chain restaurant of a steakhouse, the steak fell short itself. It's mediocre food--not terrible not great. I had some coupons to really make it worth my while. We ordered the big sirloin which was 18oz and also a steak quesadilla. The sirloin is pan fried/seared and all the seasonings on top were burnt. The flavor profile of the steak was not good at all but the steak was cooked to the correct temperature. I guess at steakhouses I'm used to grill cooking and grilled marks and not burned seasonings on top. My quesadilla was very dry and it only had steak and cheese inside. No other flavors like peppers and onions to give it more flavor. Salad was ok. Service is mixed. My server happened to be awesome but observing the other server in my area all the customers were upset. They seemed to be understaffed and kept seating people back to back. read more

Been here many times before; today we again met with a friend for lunch. I have been trying to lose a little bit of weight so I ordered the small (6 ounce) Victoria's filet. One person ordered the Bone-In Outback Ribeye, and we both ordered the Caesar salad as a side. The filet was the most tender piece of beef I have ever eaten in my seventy some years! It was remarkably better than average for Outback. The person eating the Ribeye and baked potato also thought the quality was better than average today (I took a taste and I agree that it was really flavorful). Our one complaint would be the Caesar salads. Not only were they forgotten and delivered after the steaks arrived, but the salads were really excessively over-dressed. I like the flavor of Caesar dressing, but the salads were drenched to the point of dripping salad dressing. A salad plus was the generous topping of thin ribbons of parmesan cheese. I was going to include a photo of the dripping salad, but white dressing on a white plate just did not show up. I fully admit that I didnt properly read the description to realize it was actually a frozen drink and not a true bellini. My partner's margarita was sour, overly tangy and sweet. We ordered 2 ribeye steaks Medium with broccoli and cheese for both and asparagus for him and a salad for me. We asked to have our drinks remade. I opted for a Mojito (NO SIMPLE SYRUP). She had THEE biggest attitude in the world. It was a covert tude, Just boiling under the surface. You woulda thought we had asked for her first born. She gingerly took her time serving other patrons not making eye contact. You can tell she was pissed. She came back with our drinks after ten minutes. Of course drinks were made wrong. She watered down my partners drink and she added simple syrup to mine. She slammed the plate of bread down before we could tell her about the mistake. At this point my partner is ready to walk out. We dont deserve this abuse. I understand you may be having a bad day but honestly, Ive been a server before and I would NEVER let the customer know I am mad or having a bad night, thats your bread and butter girl. The worst experience I've ever had at an Outback restaurant. My first time at this Outback location. Came here this past Saturday night with a group of 7 (including kids)--we had called the day before to make reservations for 7:30pm. We checked in with the hostess and were given a buzzer--40 minutes later we were still not called--all the walk-ins that came after us all got seated! RIDICULOUS. What is the point of having reservations if you have to wait even longer than a party with no reservations. My friend had to go talk to one of the hostess before she attempted to find a table for us--and there was one available! We got seated and were given menus. 11 minutes later no one had came to greet us--the annoying thing was that all the other tables around us were getting serviced. My friend got up from our table and went to find a manager standing nearby (he was doing something on the computer screen)--the manager didn't even seem apologetic but said he would send someone over. A female server finally came over to take our orders--she was friendly, so that made us feel a bit better. The food was fine--probably what saves this review from getting a 1-star. Bread, salad and appetizers were brought out for us with no silverware. I had to get up from the table to find our server--then it took another 10 mins for silverware to be brought to us. Craving their Kookaburra wings, I decided to splurge on the lobster tails. The lobster tails unfortunately we're overcooked and a little rubbery. The loaded mashed potatoes were at best mediocre. I feel they should have incorporated more butter in the cooking process. More cheese and green onions would have been appreciated. However, the wings were awesome! Good and fresh!
