My husband and I enjoyed our dinner here this past Sunday. We both had steak. My steak had to be cooked a little more and they apologized and made it right. The waitress Mia was exceptional. Very attentive and provided excellent customer service! Make her employee of the month! She was one of the best servers I have ever had. The manager was also great and came to our table to check on us. Overall we definitely see an improvement of customer service since our last visit! Great job Outback! We will be back! read more

This review is just based on getting food to go. We arrived at our hotel around dinner time, and decided to get Outback takeout because Outback was in close proximity to where we were staying. I know: Who gets steak takeout, really? Well, this person does, apparently. Food is never as good as when you eat it in the restaurant, and that's true for Outback food. My husband got the steak and vegetables, and they forgot his horseradish sauce.They also didn't include forks and knives. I got the grilled salmon and seasonal vegetables, and apparently the seasonal vegetables are broccoli and more broccoli. Fortunately, the broccoli was good, as was the salmon. The fries that I got were cold and super salty. But the temperature most likely had to do with the fact that I was eating food like 15 minutes removed from the kitchen, in plastic containers in a hotel. It was an OK takeout meal. I think if you're going to eat at Outback, you should definitely eat at the restaurant. read more

Our waiter David was probably the worst sever I have ever encountered and I am 68 yrs old. He argued with one of the people in our party about a specific way she wanted her food. When she tried to clarify the order he became rude and belittling. When the food arrived WRONG he simply said he was not responsible for cooking it but it wasn't the cooking that was incorrect. We had forgotten how decent the food is at Outback. No, it's not Ruth's Chris, but still a good value. We ate off the specials menu and were very satisfied. Kudos to the staff - Emmy at the bar was on her own for the bar patrons and service bar. She held her own and was very good. Managers were also visible and working alongside the staff. Obviously short-staffed because it should never take an hour and a half to eat at Outback. But the staff did a great job and we got where we needed to be on time. Very likely to be back. read more

I went there on a Saturday evening and despite being busy we were still sat right away. Our waitress was very kind and quick and courteous getting us refills and giving us ample time to decide and being sure to check on us often enough and not over bearing. My dad got the Chicken Alfredo as his entree and I got the Grilled Chicken and asparagus. We also got the seared ahi tuna and fried mushrooms for the appetizer. The chicken was well seasoned and hot. Tuna cooked really nicely and mushrooms were piping hot. The Alfredo was decent, not the same as it usually is, but still not terrible. We did get a small plate of ribs that were awful and we ate one rib off the whole plate. The waitress was very kind and took it off our bill and apologized. The service staff was careless, untrained and then hostile. Our waiter put the dessert on the table in the middle of all of our dirty entree dishes. When we asked her to clear the table, she seemed very annoyed, cleared only half the dishes and then spilled butter on the table. She didn't come back to clean up. When we mentioned this to the restaurant hostess, she defended the waiter (wasn't her job). Then the manager came to speak with us, wasn't interested in a thing we said, and ushered us out the door. It's a hit or a miss here. Depending on your server you'll either love it or hate it.. also it depends on the time of day too considering the cooks all make the steaks different. I've come in a few times and when I don't have Marissa as our waitress we hate our visits. This last one we did not have her as our waitress and it was awful. We had brought 3 guests to dinner and it made it a 9 top(9guests). Wow what a huge let down in service. First, our appetizer came out before our drinks. Then when I got my salad they put it in front of my son. Then when the steaks came out they pretty much threw the plate onto the table. Had to wait at least 10 mins for a refill of tea. Then the server forgot what my son was drinking. It was simple, just a coke. While waiting for refills had to stop eating because needed to wash it down. In the meantime food is getting cold. When it was time to pay the bill my son put part of the tip on the check and I was going to pay the rest of the tip. But before I can give the server the rest of his tip he looked at the check and said"geez, what did I do wrong" in a very sarcastic way. So I put my cash back in my wallet and we left. First time at Outback in years, now I know why. We sat down within 2 minutes the watress wanted a dink order. No menus were open yet. Another 5 minutes she was back we gave her drink order and appetizzer order. She came back with drinks and my wife gave her the food order big mistake! 5 minutes after appetizers arrive, our food arrived. It sat ther getting cold while we ate. It wasnt her fault, management problably taught her get them in and get them out as fast as possible, there was no wait in Ontario Ohio trust me Im from Chicago this place smells!. Management skill 101 in fast food places such as this. We went over the meat order for 5 minutes, no red! I dont eat much meat as it is and I dont eat red pink or bloddy meat. After all the lenghly conversation it came back pink. "No problem I will take it for you!" 30 minutes later it came back. My wife had already finish and I didnt even start, now I wasnt even hungry any more, after the delay. $75 later for a bacon burger cheesy fries, salmon salad and 2 drinks. This place deserves less than one star! And they dont even care. People are traveling thru and will never return, but their manement doesn't understand that people like me who havent been to their restaurant in 10 years now will never ever return to an Outback! Due to their service and arrogance. First they sat us at a table that was dirty and not cleaned. They did quickly come to wipe it off after we asked. My husband had the Ribeye and he said it was way below average of most Outback's we have dined at. I had the grilled chicken. I barely could eat it. It was so burnt and dry. #1. It took forever to get a table in what was an empty restaurant. No one seemed to be able to find the hostess so after a wait one of the servers directed us to a table.\ #2. After a lengthy wait a server finally came to our table. I ordered a Blooming Onion, coffee, ice tea. About 10 minutes passed until it was delivered to the table. #3. Looking at the table we were missing everything else so I tried and finally got the attention of another server and requested, sugar, salt & Pepper, napkins, utensils and a glass of water. All of that took another 5+ minutes to get. Note that our server was not in the dining room. It might be noted that the Blooming Onion was burnt to a crisp. #4. When we saw a server, I flagged him down and we ordered dinner. 1 8oz sirloin med rear, 1 chicken, 2 dinner salads & baked potato -- and the list goes on. #5. The main meal came but no salads. I then had to locate a server and ger salt & pepper for the salads. (Was not our server as he never seemed to be on the DR Floor. #6. By this time, I was out of coffee. Over a 10-minute area of time and requesting more coffee it finally was brought to the table. #7. The steak was dry and over cooked with basically no taste. I requested some steak sauce from two different servers, which was finally brought to the table. #8. Steaks were not prepared as requested, and the clueless server tried to convince us a sirloin steak was a filet. We went there 16 yrs ago. It's gotten worse. My wife pulled what looked to be a tumor out of her potatoes. The broccoli was completely inedible and her chicken was burned the flour was a very dark brown. We askedfor some fries instead, they were great everything else was terrible even the onion pedals you could wring oil out of them. When the manager or ass manager brought out the fries he seemed bothered by our complaint being very defensive whick irritated us both. When we got our bill I told the wife just pay it and lets go. Service was ok. Even though the waitress got my order wrong she was very kind and friendly. The food, however, tasted bland (despite their best efforts) and was terribly prepared. My medium 6 oz sirloin had a seared and overly seasoned crust on top, followed by a well done strip, a medium strip and a medium rare/rare strip on the bottom. My wife and I were at this restaurant on Friday, 02/22/2013 at approximately 6:00p.m. The restaurant was very busy. And even so, we were seated and eating within 15 minutes and well within the 20 minute wait we were quoted. While waiting, we were offered a beverage and some blooming onion and a menu. By the time we reached our table, we were ready to order and did so. Our server was named Brooklyn and she was quite the professional! We really enjoyed her. She suggested menu items, was friendly, cheerful and treated us very well. Brooklyn offered a variety of mixed drinks. We declined. My wife asked about a cherry Coke and Brooklyn told her that they put Grenadine in Coke if that was okay. My wife declined saying it was usually too sweet. When Brooklyn returned with our beverages of choice, she brought a cherry Coke with her and offered it to my wife free of charge just to try it. Remarkable. Our meals were served quickly, at the correct temperature and cooked to perfection. They were delicious and excellent in appearance, presentation, and taste. Brooklyn checked back with us for what we felt were the correct number of times. The owner also stopped at our table twice to inquire about our meal. After clearing away our dinner dishes, Brooklyn offered desert and unfortunately, we ordered one to share. Unfortunate only in so far as it was delicious and really filled our already full stomachs. It's that time of year, holiday gift cards! Sowe had some free cash to burn and for a chain Outback is always consistent and pleasant. We went earlier in a Friday night, so no wait. Service was spectacular. Our waiter was in it with the drinks/refills. I'm a coconut shrimp addict so I order the appetizer as my main entrée and add a salad (plus eat that damn loaf of bread they bring out to the table). The shrimp was perfect. Food was hot and tasty, no complaints! Upon the end of our meal, our awesome waiter gave us to-go drinks, and in the big cups vs. the tiny kiddy cups they usually give you. I have never had a problem with this outback until today. I am so disappointed! For starters We had to wait forever, almost 2 hours for our food! Our waitress never brought us silverware when our food came out, so we had to wait almost 10 additional minutes just for silverware! All of our fries where cold and not seasoned. My sister ordered a WELL done steak and when we got our food we discovered that the steak was pink and definitely not WELL done. She wouldn't eat it so we had to send it back and wait even longer for the replacement. The manager did end up giving us all of our kids meals for free, so that was a plus. read more
