We went here for my husband's birthday. The food was pretty good, not great. I had prime rib, green beans and onion soup. All average. We had a blooming onion which was fun with 3 sauces. My husband got a ribeye steak and thought the quality of the meat was not great but the flavoring was tasty. What we did like was the service. Our waitress Sam was WONDERFUL. Service with a smile, couldn't do enough to please us. We even recommended her to her manager. Overall a very nice experience though we wish the quality of the food was better. This place was okay. The service was good. I thought parking wasn't too bad since it is a big lot like one of those shopping mall lots. I ordered the Outback Steak with garlic mashed potatoes and veggies with lobster and mushroom topping. I honestly think that the toppings aren't worth it (ranges from $4-$7 depending on what you get). The steak wasn't bad just how I like it. I had a little bit of the sweet potato side order, I didn't like it because it was way too sweet. I think it was the cinnamon cream topping that made it sweet, I actually liked it without the cream topping. The aussie fries were okay nothing special. Worst 28.00 steak ever. Ordered medium rare. Half was burned and half was raw and it was tough as boot leather. The other steak was ordered well done and came mediium rare. The coconut shrimp was excellent. 75.00 total bill and the 2 steaks were inedible. I will never order a take out meal from them again ! Hadn't been to an OBS for 2+ years due to poor service and substandard food, last night almost turned that around. After a convo with manager JJ about how corporate should get it's head out of it's ass with the promotion/advertising/pricing (my opinion) on the No Worries Wednesday dinners, we enjoyed steaks cooked to the proper temperature(s), of a decent size (9 oz.) & for a decent price. The cheesecake we took home made a good breakfast, too. The blue cheese pecan chopped salad was iceberg, could use some inspiration. Great team service made this a meal to remember. We four came and sat between the hosts and the bar, so we could yell at everybody. We used to love coming here for family celebrations. Last night for a graduation we came in, family of seven. Four kids aged 7, 10, 12, 14. Three adults. First bad thing: no French Onion soup. One main reason for coming. Menu is completely different. They had some sweet potato thing that was awful. My pork chops were pretty good with a small exception of being a bit dry in the middle. But the worst thing was my 12 year old grandchild got food poisoning. Also his mother. They both had the filet. And the sweet potato thing. He is still throwing up tonight. Started in the night last night. The waiter was lovely. But the place was empty. I can see why. We probably won't be going back to what used to be our go-to place. It feels like someone else bought it and changed everything, while trying to fool the public into thinking it is still Outback. But the food poisoning is the worst. read more

So my family & I came to Outback for my Father In Loves BDay, It was 14 of us! I'm so glad we had Chase as our server. Chase was seriously on point. He kept the bread coming while we waited for our meals. I apologize for not having photos, I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures so the bill came & as you can probably imagine we forgot to tell him to split the bill. Was that a problem for chase? No it was not a problem at all! He split the bill up, he made frequent stops by our table to make sure we had everything we needed in terms of food, utensils & beverage. I found it particularly fascinating that Chase didn't mess up any of our orders, especially considering there were so many of us ordering various things. read more

Used to be one of my favorite restaurants but they have changed the menu (which is now really hard to decipher) ... and not for the better. No more French onion soup. Undercooked vegetables and my daughter got some kind of liquid mess instead of broccoli and cheese. Plus how can you order two of the same burger with one coming out with mustard between the burger and cheese (which made it inedible for my daughter) while the other one didn't have any mustard on it. I'm sad to say that this place which has been a go to for constantly good food at a reasonable price seems to be suffering from corporate restaurant syndrome, that's what happens when either new owners or a corporation comes in and ruins a good thing with dumb penny pinching ideas that do nothing but make the dinning experience bad! They recently did a half hearted attempt at a remodel, that for some reason didn't include fixing the air conditioning or bar equipment however they did add cheap Wednesday specials that they can't fulfill. For some unknown reason they would rather bring out a 5 day old steak thats not fit to eat and have it returned while upsetting or at minimum making customers wait while they try to pass off another bad piece of meat. Wouldn't be more cost effective to make customers want to come back like they used to do? Hell 3/4 of the staff don't want to be there and it shows. read more

Went to the restaurant last night and found that it had been redone on the inside. The intimacy is gone, and the noise level is really distracting. The bar has really cut down on the selection. No Grey Goose, no VO, just weird brands. The wine list is amateurish. As for dinner, we ordered the prime rib. It arrived dry, flavorless, and looked as though it had been under the heat lamp for hours. The waiter didn't know how to properly cork the wine, was very inattentive. This Outback has taken a nosedive in quality and service. For what we spent here, we could have had a much better experience at a real dinner house. Avoid this place. read more

Food poisoning folks I just got back from the emergency room to notify all of you on yelp with certified documentation of food poisoning from outback northridge in regards to this establishment in northridge my wife and i stopped in to outback 12/09/2016 and right away upon paying the check I instantly started to perspire we ordered quite a bit of food only to find out that there chefs in detail undercooked the food there detail of chefs do not care about the customers satisfaction and bring the food through the waiter or waitress anyway they can this establishment is a time bomb waiting to go off from county inspectors that I will certainly make sure happens there showing that there cleanliness through there doors upon arrival is the alphabet A I don't think so remember your not allowed in the cooking area please stay away from this establishment it's sickening looks great upon arrival but it's hardly ever the exterior that's the problem it's the interior and to wake up this morning 12/10/2016 full of chills and nauseated with violent vomiting I certainly feel you deserve a heads up happy eating folks and be careful as I noticed that Los angeles county restaurants and eaterys has probably the biggest issues to keep up with food practices from managers to cooking detail from the busyness they just stop caring for what's right with the customer in fact business is so good with managers in this county that they might tell you to leave that's the attitude that has struck in the past few years with LA County restaurants when busy take care folks Update !!!! I still did not receive any contact from the insurance or casualty that handles issues for this establishment in the span of over 5 working days but I simply do not care at this point as Iam very confident in the response I received from the food & beverage inspectors for LA County as I will not be making any attempts or correspondence with outback northridge as Iam concerned for the safety of the customers who must take consideration of this investigation and the practice of this facility/restaurant I will from time to time update those on yelp with progress of outbacks attempts to establish full settlement of this matter read more

Was given a gift cert. a year ago and decided to give Outback a try. The server was great (Sara)although the food was worse than Denny's. We received the bill for 150.00 dollars and I was shocked! Glad I only ordered a side salad as everyone at the table was less than pleased with the quality of their meals. A few weeks since I've been there...had a take out steak & lobster, with baked potato and a salaed. I will say that was the best lobster I've had in a long time and the filet was cooked perfect, the potato was still very hot when I got home , which is a 45 min drive. If you're looking for under seasoned, undercooked food, and slow underwhelming service, I've got the perfect place for you: Outback on reseda and Devonshire. Once we were seated it took a while before somebody even came to take our drink order. The first attempt of appetizers came out severely undercooked. And the main course was flavorless and undercooked (seriously, how do you mess up a cheeseburger). All in all, a good experience if you like bad food. 3/10 read more

The online ordering was the simplest I've encountered. Pulled up to the curbside to-go parking a minute early and couldn't believe how quick I was greeted. Brie (not sure about spelling) was my server and she was very nice. She notifies me that she was just waiting for my steak to be done and returned about a minute later with it. Food smelled great and was packaged very well. Steak was cooked to perfection and the entire meal was exactly as I ordered it. Great food at a great price, tremendous service, and very quick. This use to be my families favorite restaurant. Recently they have completely changed the menu and taken off the standard favorites. We can no longer get French Onion Soup, Clam Chowder, an Outback Burger or Mums Chopped Steak. The items that have replaced these are not as tasty. The fried rice I ordered (new to the menu) was dosed in hot sauce. The new cheese fries are pretty much the same but with an added glob of tasteless guacamole on top. I can say though the service is still good. Someone is just making poor decisions with the menu. We have decided to avoid this restaurant and explore other options in the area. read more

First time ever going there..me and my boyfriend were excited in spite of what our friends told us..we are optimistic people..... Well our server was great knew a lot about the food and drinks..so we started off with some drinks.. my boyfriend liked his mixed drink however mine tasted like straight syrup..i said maybe i just got the wrong thing. We then ordered the onion blossom rings..server brought them out totally burnt..just looking at then i could tell they were overcook...told him polity they were way over done and brought us some new ones..fine..so then we decide to just get a pitcher of margarita...what a joke.he brought out the smallest pitcher I have ever seen which filled mine and my boyfriends glass one drink each n a little extra shot.. We got soup also;i got french onion which was ok..my boyfriend got the tortilla and it came out luke warm..like really?? .ok so we decided to order entree.. He ordered the porterhouse steak and was pleased with that..I got the tilapia which was not bad but a little overcooked.... The dishes were just ehh just ok... Now we get the bill.....107.00...not bad... I was completely irate when i saw that they charged me 20.99 for a pitcher of watered down margarita that only each gave us one glass! like are you joking me,.. they are completely overpriced for just being a mediocre place. I work down the street and love the Outback in Santa Clarita. I have ordered two times now on the weekends from this particular outback and both times the orders are completely wrong. My family and I were eager to try a steakhouse and we were driving by outback so we said hey, why not? When we first walked in it was kind of empty and mostly elderly citizens were there. We ordered our food and it did not satisfy our taste buds. The steak was really hard and the mashed potatoes had way too much garlic in it. The bread tasted weird and the vegetables did not look appetizing. The only good thing I can recommend from this place was the raspberry ice tea with peach syrup. So Bomb! read more

I'm giving it a two stars because we waited so long for our food and our waiter wasn't even on top of it. I had to ask another waiter for a refill. we ordered an appetizer that came fast but our food took more than 40 min to come out. The manager was going to everyone's table apologizing for wait she even brought them appetizers. Idk if it was because we were Hispanic she didn't come to our table and bring us an appetizer or apologize. The only person who was busting their ass off working was the bus boy. My husband even gave him a 20$ tip.. there was another bus boy he had dropped the drink while he cleaning the table next to us and he just left it there and had the other bus boy clean it. other than that our food was delicious. read more

The food was good but I asked for horseradish right when the food was served and never got it. So after waiting 10 min I went up an spoke to the manager Kristen. She was great! I usually have nothing but good things to say about Outback but my most recent visit to the restaurant was a disgusting experience to say the least. The server who served us named Leon M. was doing a great job until he literally picked up my mom's used teabag with his bare fingers to place it on a new plate. So basically he put his fingers in her beverage because there was no way she was going to put that teabag that a stranger put his fingers on back into her new cup of hot water. This ruined her beverage and the entire meal experience for us. I have no idea why he couldn't just lift the teabag up by the string instead of putting his unclean hands on the teabag itself. Please train your employees better Outback. You have likely lost a customer for life because of this. read more

I would give this location of Outback a NEGATIVE 100 STARS!!! I've been to many Outback Steakhouses and I don't even have high expectations when I go to them. We went on a Sunday night around 7pm. There was a 30-45 minute wait for a table, which was fine for us. We waited and got seated. We ordered, got our warm bread, and our first courses. We both ordered the 10 oz. ribeye. I ordered mine "classic" and the other one "wood-fire grilled", both medium rare. Medium rare- which means warm red center. The one we ordered classic was fine. The wood-fired grilled one was overdone, it looked medium- pink inside. Just looking at the steak I could tell it was wrong. I worked in a high end steakhouse for many years as a pastry chef. The waitress never came back after bringing the steaks to make sure the temperature was correct. So we sat and waited about ten minutes for her to come back around and tell her it was incorrect. She apologized and said she would get us a new one properly cooked. She came back and brought the second steak, and then left again. She didn't stay to make sure that it was correct. It was of course incorrect again, this time being rare- cold red center. She took the steak back, and returned it to us again...and asked "is this what you were looking for?". She made it sound like she was implying that we didn't know what we were talking about. Medium rare is medium rare...warm red center. Not cold red center, not pink in the center, not cooked all the way through. Again, looking at the steak I knew it wasn't right. First of all it was not even in width, one end was well done, and the other side still rare. The steak also looked like someone put cuts in it and made it all choppy looking. I couldn't believe it. I am surprised that a person that calls themselves a "chef" would let food like that be served, if that is their job duty to make sure everything that goes out of a kitchen it done properly. Especially if it was done incorrect the first time. We tell the waitress again, that the steak is not right. She again apologizes, and says she will get another going. Then the "manager" or should I say the "new sheriff in town", he actually wore a sheriffs badge the last time the other person in my party had been to this same location not even two weeks ago. Why you ask, I'm not sure...He came over to speak with us, and he apologized and acknowledged that the steak was incorrect and could see why we were unhappy. He then says he will "hand pick" the next steak that would be cooked the correct way. Before he leaves the table he actually notices that my drink is empty and asks what I was drinking. I tell him and he says he will get me a refill. He never comes back with my refill. Why ask if you aren't going to do it? I didn't ask for a refill, he offered! He comes back with the third steak of the night, and then tells us that they are out of baked potatoes the side that went with the steak. WTF? He walks away and doesn't stay to make sure the steak is correct. This time the steak is WELL DONE! By this time I'm almost amused that it has taken this many times and it still wasn't correct. I was waiting for cameras to come out and say it was a prank or something. He apologies again, and tells us that we don't have to pay for anything we ordered...YOU THINK??? I can't believe he says he will take control of the situation and then doesn't even follow through with what he said to us. He then says, he doesn't know what else to say...and neither do we. We have been here for over two hours, and still have not gotten our order done properly. We asked for change for a twenty because for some reason I don't know why, we still tipped our waitress. I guess paying $8 for a salad, bread, and sodas was about that much. We left and then headed to get some real food since we wasted our time at this place. read more

We normally dine at a particular Outback which has always been amazing. This was the first time visiting this location since we moved to California. I was craving a certain dipping sauce for the steak(s), but apparently, every restaurant is different and they didn't have it. The service was fast and the food came out in a timely manner. However, the bread was hard, and my steak came out medium rather than medium well. I'm not one to complain as the service was good. Not sure I would go back to this location though. Wow we will never return! Food was delivered cold and cooked improperly. We asked troy the fabulous bar tender to inform the staff as we were just going to take the food home. The manager arrives and wants to recook our food. My wife had lost her appetite as the cold food had turned her stomache... I asked to have my food recooked and my wife was just going to take hers home.. The manager asked why and i said " you know your a girl ... Sometimes your just not hungry anymore" so she said no i dont know ... I said come on girls can be picky about food ... She says no your a sexist. Took my food and walked away .... We were then told to leave our check was comped and we were done ... Asking for the manager back ... She returned saying no one could speak to her like that ... And i was sexist !!!! I had a smile on my face the whole time and in no way inferred any disrespect .. Yet she was solid that we had done something wrong. We wanted nothing and left insulted and hungry... This restaurant also does not honor the pricing of the many outback commercials and specials seen on tv or the internet. Never to return ! This manager has no business running this establishment ! It's either the servers or the cooks, but this place has gone from just ok service to bad really quick. About a month ago we waited for over an hour just to have our food brought to the table, the server seemed to avoid us while we waited, didn't even refill our drinks, but we let it slide that time as we were a group of 7 and we figured our order would take a bit longer than usual. Tonight was inexcusable, though. Two adults and one child, and we waited for about an hour and a half before we gave up waiting and ended up leaving without our food ever being brought out. The server had no excuse as to what the hold up was, and apparently the Manager was busy listening to other customer complaints the entire hour and a half that we sat there, didn't even come listen to our complaint and let our server handle our complaint on her own.
