We ended up here late at night about a little more than an hour before they closed and they welcomed us in. I had the 6oz Sirloin and Grilled Shrimp with Asparagus and Seasoned Rice while my mother had the Queensland Chicken and Shrimp Pasta. I felt like my steak was a bit small but I was tired and didn't want to eat too much meat so I didn't mind it. I needed some protein anyway. The rice was maybe too seasoned, I guess I could say very salt-forward. The asparagus was fine and the steak was cooked just as I ordered, medium rare. Shrimp were good. Mom on the other hand wasn't too thrilled with her pasta. She stated that the butter in her Alfredo sauce sat on top. I told her to just toss it around some and that seemed to help. However, it wasn't salty enough for her so she added more. The "boldness" was missing. Her shrimp and chicken in it were fine. I will say that our server was so kind and was on top of anything that we needed. She checked on us several times. We had a birthday dinner there it was good! Of course it takes two hours for 13 people, to get drinks, appetizers and food. But our waitress Karen was super sweet, she was attentive and understood our needs. The restaurant was well lit and clean. The first blooming onion was TINY, the waitress saw it and immediately apologized, and brought a new regular sized one! The bar tender was kind too. But a green tea shot is $15!!! I still love Outback after all these years. I am super disappointed they took some of my favorite items off the menu though. I still absolutely love their burgers and chicken tenders. I hate ranch dressing but Outback's is the only one I like. Their bleu cheese dressing is my absolute favorite. Omar is the best!! He has always been attentive, friendly, and our order is always correct. We have unfortunately not seen him our last 4 visits-hopefully he moved on to better opportunities! We recently had the please of Sue serving us at the bar and before then was Kaitlyn. Both ladies were absolutely fabulous! I think this location finally cleaned up house and obtained a great staff because previously, it was always a dreadful experience. The staff were mostly kids and management allowed the place turn into a circus. We recently have been frequenting this location again and even though we have not encountered Omar, the bartenders have been on point. Lately, it's mostly been the kitchen on screw ups. The place seems way more professional. The prices are always kind of high but they do offer promotions a lot. This location is also hit or miss of when it's busy or dead. read more

If I could enter a zero number, I sure would. We entered the Outback at Silver Springs Florida on this past thursday for lunch. We went in at 11: 15. People were already eating so we sure were not early. We stood and stood and stood at the meters podium and then watched adt leaset 3 employees wandering around the restaurant. With total, total, disregard for all of us. We still stood there and waited and after it became a total waste of our time, we went elsewhere. Disgusting and we will not be back for a long while. Went to China Lee down the road close by like apparently others did too. This is enexcusable to anybody. Others left right behind us too. The line was at least 6 people of different couples for lunch. Shame, shame on Outback for allowing this to happen. Very slow previously but we said the food was worth a little problelm. However, this was as I said, disgusting since they clearly saw us waiting and they still turned away from us. This was on: June, 4, 2026 at 11:15. We ordered several items through Doordash and the delivery time was good however we had two issues with the meals. One was a chicken caesar salad that came without the salad, just the chicken in a separate container. The other problem was with the kookaburra wings. I noticed a few small feathers on the first one I ate, but the next day when I warmed up the leftovers I discovered a couple of the wings were covered in feathers, not pin feathers either, but fairly large feathers. Well I'm back on my very high protein diet and figured what better then steak for dinner. So my wife and I both ordered the filet mignon. She got her's medium and I got mine medium well. Wouldn't you know it both were bright pink and cold in the center. I don't know what is wrong with the kitchen staff but it's not that hard to cook a steak to temp. My wife was going to cook mine a bit longer in some garlic butter, but I did want her to be put out because someone can't do their job right. On 09/05/25, 6:15pm, We enjoyed the ambiance of this restaurant. The hostesses were friendly and accommodating. We look forward to going out and relaxing... just "being" not cooking/cleaning or thinking. What used to be weekly, now it is once in awhile. We want to go and expect good customer service without breaking the bank. We paid $76 for two people. 2 entrees, 2 coffees only. With the tip it was pushing $100! Everything except the steaks were done as ordered. One (t-bone) steak was half inedible fat and way undercooked, the other (sirloin) steak over cooked; obviously someone got our temperature orders mixed up. We thought about sending the steaks back, but seriously, we don't approve of waste as we know they will be tossed out, more than a lack of attention to detail. What we come for besides a "break" is the perfect steak. We don't care to pay that much for a dissatisfactory experience. Also, It would be helpful to remind the customers on the checkout kiosk or other sign if you honor any discounts as well. That's very helpful. Hope this is helpful. read more

Wow just wow... not a good wow either. We came in for dinner and it was freezing. It was cold outside and they had the AC set so low that it was colder inside than it was outside. We waited for a while to be seated in spite of the small number of diners. In all fairness someone had not shown up yet for their shift yet and they did not want to overwhelm the servers that were there and as a former server, I get that. The couple before us decided to leave. We are finally seated and then no one ever came to our table. After 15 or so minutes my husband went over to check with the hostess to make sure the server for our section was aware they had a table sat in their section. She seemed surprised no one had been over to come by and then said she would let our server know, but never left the host stand to alert anyone. After about 10 more minutes we decided we were just going to leave and find somewhere else to have dinner because they were having issues. We went to get in our car to leave and the manager came running out to our car to beg us to stay and offering free items if we would come back. My husband kindly told her that we were set on leaving especially since it was so cold on top of everything else. She had her hand on the car door of my mom's seat to continue trying to convince us to stay. She did finally walk away. We looked up another place to eat and made a decision of where we were going to go and as we started backing up the car the manager came running out again. Not sure what she was trying to offer this time but it was embarrassing because people were sitting outside the restaurant and likely thought we were doing a dine and dash or something because of how she ran to the car twice! Needless to say we did end up at Longhorn steakhouse and had a wonderful experience and meal there. read more

Wonderful experience at this Outback location! Yesterday was my birthday and we ordered curbside to celebrate and upon checking the order, my steak was too well done, and the employee quickly went back to the kitchen to have it recooked, and then it was perfect. I believe it was a manager who assisted us. She has a pretty piercing above her lip, and has excellent customer service, and very sweet personality. When she learned it was my birthday, offered a complimentary slice of cake, to compensate our wait time, and the original error with the order, and that's how you keep customers happy and returning to your restaurant. We ordered two steak and lobster, with potato and rice, coconut shrimp, and salads. When we arrived home to eat, everything was delicious, with great flavors and seasoning. A Saturday night date-night found us at Outback Steakhouse (Silver Springs), a new location for us. We tend to a little closer to home (west side of Ocala), but we were out so we threw caution to the wind! Our wait was about 20 minutes, and we put in our drink and blooming' onion order right away. Our server, Maria, brought back our drinks and took our entree orders. Seemed like a fairly long time for our food to come out, but I guess this is the new norm? Our steaks were prepared a little overdone, but not horrible. Great flavor on the steak, veggies and loaded potato. The coconut shrimp was far more breading than shrimp, but tasty. We placed a take out order and after the 30 minute drive home, realized we got the wrong order. Yes, we should have checked the bag before we left. I decided to go to this location on Silver Springs Boulevard for Mother's Day at a 5 o'clock reservation and was promptly seated it went downhill from here. Our order was in by 5:15. but my Food was not out till 6:30 and they actually serve my chicken burnt so my wife had Mother's Day dinner watching me not eat. The worst of everything was the manager never came over to the table so after I paid the bill, I did ask the manager to come over and all she said was OK. I don't know what was OK for me. It wasn't. This may explain why on Mother's Day there was no real line. I have only put in one review in the last 15 years, but I had to share this , everybody in the restaurant was complaining so i understand why we had no problem getting in. on a positive note, I had a great server who truly cared about the situation. Went this evening and our server was Elizabeth. This was our first time going to Outback and it was so good!! We had the bloomin onion, soup, fried chicken breast, and the grilled chicken & shrimp pasta. EVERYTHING was soooooo good. I did order lemonade and wasn't fond of it. I was hesitant to ask for something else but Elizabeth was super understanding, no problem at all. We spent about $60 for the two of us. We would definitely go here again! We had a gift card burning a hole in our pocket so we decided to use it on a busy Saturday. When we arrived we were told the wait was an hour so we said ok and decided to have a drink at the bar while we waited. Once there we realized The bartender was super friendly and efficient so we decided to eat our dinner at the bar. I usually don't do that but it worked out great. My wife took me here for lunch on father's day. She rocks! We went after church and it was already packed. We were pleasantly surprised to get table faster then they said the initial wait would be. Our server was great and was very professional and attentive. All smiles and paid attention to details. Our food was very good, and we ordered sirloin steak and potato as well as the new baby rack ribs drizzled with a tasty sauce. We basically ordered the same thing we had at the other outback on sr200 a few days ago. Both meals were fantastic. My summation and thoughts are you can't go wrong with outback. Consistently good with a large variety of meals to satisfy the most discerning taste buds. Tasty tidbit - for those trying to eat a bit healthier and on a budget, check this out. I used to get take out here even i lived closer. I would order the kids grilled chicken, sliced diced and seasoned. Then add a side salad. They include bread with any order. We love outback but this one is so so. They seated us in a dirty booth the table and bench were not wiped down. The waitress saw it but did not pay attention to that and to our orders. She gave us a blooming onion that was hard nearly burned and served it without plates. We had to ask for it. She didn't get the strawberry margarita as ordered, the bacon was on the baked potato when we asked to have it removed for the elderly with us. She didn't give us a bone in ribeye as we ordered , the stuffed potatoes were tiny and lastly it took her forever to give us the To go bags. Even tho she said oh you need bags and then came back 20 min later and said take care of the ladies...It was horrible she needs more training. This is the worst experience we had with Outback generally they are good. Not this server she made it awful and pretended to care. She only catered to the one she thinks is paying. We ask for a booth. and a scruffy looking kid who looked more like a dishwasher or busboy tells us there were no tables availiable. (I literally looked on both sides of the restaurant, maybe 2 booths were being used, otherwise literally empty.) He proceeds to tell us the only available seating were the high top tables in the bar area. Did not even attempt to stop us as we left to go to Sonny's BBQ where the customer service is always top notch, and they are all smiling. Please note Outback ALWAYS does this anytime we go there. If I want to sit at the damn bar , I would request it!! Don't waste your time going to Outback. I'll be writing to their corporate office as well. read more

2 stars. Ordered blue cheese pecan salad. Lettuce looked like it was from last month rotting in the cooler. Ordered prime rib sandwich ( fries to replace salad) came out perfect. My husband & I had been traveling all day, we were hungry. I suggested Outback as he had mentioned he wanted a steak & baked potato. We sat at the bar. There were two bartenders. The young lady with a really long dark braid took our order. We noticed a young man with a FedEx uniform, he had a really nice looking steak. We both agreed it looked delicious. We asked the bartender what he had & she said 6oz Filet. We were surprised how big & juicy it looked. We both ordered the 6oz Filet "Just like the FedEx guy". We were both shocked when they brought a piece of meat about 1/3 the size of FedEx guy. Our steaks were both over cooked. We then see the bartender walk over, kiss FedEx guy & leave with him.
