Hubs suggested Bonefish for us to visit for our dog & my birthday (we share the same day ). We needed a place with outdoor seating because of the dog and they did have outdoor seating. We both worked until early afternoon so we decided to go for a super late lunch/ early dinner around 4pm. Upon arrival, all the tables were empty outside. Hubs waited outside while I went in to the host stand. I was greeted very politely and warmly. When I was led outside, the hostess lit up when she saw my dog and proceeded to clean our table. She also went inside to get a bowl of water for her. Our server greeted us almost right after. I cannot remember her name for the life of me but she was super attentive and everything came out as ordered. I mean the entire staff was friendly. Hubs and I ordered the 3 course meal deals. It has been years since I have been to Bonefish so I was not sure if the house salad was the same as I remembered so I ordered the dressing it comes with as well as the Bleu cheese dressing. Both were very good. I was able to order the shrimp but have them fried and they were perfect. They were huge and of course I could not get through half of them. Hubs ordered the burger and he really enjoyed it. We ordered the brownies for our desserts but took them to go. I did go on to BFG's website to see which wines were on Happy Hour so I ordered one of them. We were charged regular price for it on the bill but didn't see it until later. Idk why it's different in the system than what is listed on the website. One really cool and fun experience we had was a regular patron learned it was our dog's birthday, he went to the bakery next door, and ordered a doggie birthday cake for her!! I thought that was the nicest thing ever so I asked our server to put one of his drinks on our tab. He even came outside to say thank you and I expressed my gratitude again. It has been a long while, perhaps over 15 years ago when we lived in MO, since my wife and I have dined at a Bonefish Grill. We recall having positive experiences there so we were eagerly anticipating a late lunch after a dentist visit. It was just past 3 PM but the well appointed place was still quite busy. Within a couple minutes from walking in, we were led to our booth and presented the menu. We were drawn to the "curated" menu items where the chef paired fish with sides. My wife ordered the bourbon- glazed salmon with roasted new potatoes and Mexican street corn (elotes) and I tried their pan seared ahi which came with jasmine rice and shaved Brussels sprouts. We also ordered the chicken egg rolls as an appetizer. We were initially served complimentary crusty bread with a pesto dipping sauce which was good if not a bit heavy on the salt. The egg rolls had good flavors and came with Thai sweet chili sauce and what's supposed to be a tangy mustard sauce (not too tangy according to my wife). My wife's salmon was fresh and flaky but she thought the potatoes were overdone and too soft and she didn't care for the pairing of Mexican corn with a bourbon glaze. My ahi tuna was fresh and had good flavors but just like my wife, I came away underwhelmed with the recommended sides. The jasmine rice was overcooked and was soft while the Brussels sprouts could've been steamed to soften it up a bit. All in all, a disappointing experience. It reminded me of how one would hearken back to fond memories of loving Spaghetti Os when you were younger...only to taste it as an adult and spit it out because it tasted bad. Yeah...something like that. Value wasn't there either. Lunch for 2 came out to just under $77. read more

We haven't been to this restaurant in years, and today we were reminded why. We walked in and were immediately impressed by how clean and nicely-decorated the restaurant is. It had an upscale feel and we were quite comfortable in our cozy booth. Our server was handling a quality of food complaint at another table, so it took a bit to be acknowledged. We understood because the customer did not seem at all happy and I immediately felt bad for the server. One of those days... When we did order, our request for no ice in one of the drinks was either not heard or forgotten by the time she got to the bar. No big deal, she just had to get another one. I asked if I could substitute au gratin potatoes for fries and was not told there was a $5 upcharge for this. It would have been nice to have known beforehand. A burger with the substituted potatoes was $23.50. The pacing of the meal is what gave us the most displeasure. Our appetizers of soup (lobster bisque - to die for) and delicious bang bang shrimp had been dropped at the table and then our entrees immediately followed. The main courses were tepid at best and the jasmine rice was dry and inedible. Our server seemed a bit overwhelmed. I had to ask for a refill on my Diet Coke (that bisque was spicy) and I'm not sure what kind of soda she brought but it wasn't Diet Coke. For $3.99 for a soda, a refill would have been nice. We had lots of leftovers for dinner tonight and we will be happy to eat our reheated food at the proper temperature and time. My husband and I both ordered the Anglers Catch off the Friday nights special menu. It is a combo dish of fried cod and shrimp. The cod was heavily dipped in Tempura batter with a very small piece of cod inside. We received two pieces of batter. So disappointing when you pay $20 for a single meal. The shrimp were small but dipped in a batter that wasn't too heavy. They were tasty. Cole slaw came with the meal - exactly a tablespoon in a condiment cup. Excellent staff and superior customer service. I ordered the family bundle via DoorDash but had some dietary restrictions that the app does not allow you to add. I called the restaurant, and Haley was kind enough to ensure my request was accommodated. Unfortunately, when the food arrived there was a discrepancy, but Q, the manager, provided several options to resolve the issue. He was very polite and considerate throughout the process and truly went above and beyond, which is rare these days. Our family greatly appreciates the effort. Oh my goodness. We had the best dinner at Bonefish. The food was good but the star was our server, Wilson Daniels. We have been there many times and he was by far the best server we have had. Sunday dinner for two at 5:00PM. No wait. Ambiance was beautiful. Waitress (Tiphani M) and entire staff, professional and attentive. Cibatta bread and olive oil with pesto served before dinner. We skipped appetizers because we were given complimentary Bang Bang Shrimp. It is a restaurant staple and absolutely wonderful. Solid menu with some excellent cocktails. We opted for Pineapple Martinis. Again wonderful. Our entrees were Parmesan Crusted Rainbow Trout and Signature Pasta Dish - Salmon and Linguini in a Creole sauce. Delectable and expertly cooked. Ample enough time between cocktails/appetizers and entrees. We finished with their famous Coconut Pie in Rum sauce. Prices were very reasonable for quality served. Wow! This might be the most important review I ever leave on Yelp. I'm so incredibly humbled by what I witnessed here tonight. We were sitting on the patio when a homeless person with some obvious mental issues walked up and started asking for some food. I didn't know what to do so I didn't acknowledge him. The manager or owner (not sure which) came out and gently talked to the man and asked him to take a seat on the curb for a minute. She quickly went in the restaurant and came out with a small box of food for him which he graciously accepted and went on his way. She did this with no fanfare and did not draw attention to herself or make a scene. With all of the war, heartache, and hatred in the world right now, this simple act of kindness renewed my faith in humanity and brought a tear to my eye. Thank you! I went with a group of 20 the other day and I have to say, I was very disappointed in one of my favorite restaurants. Reservations had been made a few weeks in advance, so it was not like they were surprised by this, and we've been there before with large groups. The first problem was the table set up. We had 2 tables along the from wall, one had an opening on both sides, so sliding down the bench was easy. The other was against a wall so you had one place to get in and out and the ones on the wall end had difficulty as well were stuck there for a very long dinner service. Poor planning. The restaurant was as in crowded as I've seen it in the years we've been going, but yet only one server took drink and meal orders. It was almost 45 minutes before our table got to order. Water, bread and drinks were not refilled unless asked for, bar orders after the first were not offered. From what I saw, most of the meals were of the high quality we come to expect there, and the orders were varied. I was very disappointed in mine, however. I ordered the bowl of mussels which I have had before and enjoyed. That night, however it was more broken shells than mussels. It looked like the bag of mussels had sat under a brick. Very difficult to eat as you had to pick all the broken bits off the mussel itself, or as politely as possible, out of your mouth! The server never came back to check on how things were .... I'll continue to go to Bonefish, but probably not with a group again, as I say, a disappointing experience read more

First let me say, I LOVE BONEFISH! It's the best chain restaurant in its price range. We no longer live close to one, so while out of town we decided to treat ourselves. We started with bang bang shrimp, of course, along with "social hour" prices on wine. Wish I could say the rest of the meal was as good. My husband ordered the trout which is his favorite. The fish was delish, but the side, green beans were undercooked. We enjoy an al dente veggie but this was not tasty. We could have sent it back but were in a time crunch. I ordered the Brussels sprouts salad with grilled salmon. The salad was huge! However, disappointment set in soon when I tasted my fish and it was overcooked. My fault because I didn't specify, but then I wasn't asked either. Then I guess I thought my Brussels would be cooked or at least blanched since lusted as "shaved" but there were slices and raw. There is very little flavor in a raw brussel sprout. I ate the salmon and half the salad. We skipped dessert and went on to our event. Again, we love Bonefish so we will be back. Being from Maryland I was intrigued to see Maryland Style Crab Cakes on your menu. I asked if they were broiled or fried and assured they were broiled. The menu also said lump crab meat. I ordered them and was truly disappointed with the crab cakes. They were 98% filler with some shreds of crab meat and one tiny lump. Not Maryland Style at all. Please take the words Maryland Style off your menu and just use crab cakes if you want to call them crab cakes. This is an idea - why not order crab cakes from Maryland and see what they are supposed to look and taste like. Several places that ship are Boxhill Pizzeria and Crab Cakes in Abingdon Maryland, G&M Restaurant in Linthicum Heights, Maryland and Timbuktu Restaurant and Lounge in Hanover, Maryland.
