Food was okay, cold but more importantly the service wasn't up to par. My buddy and I placed two orders for their pick up curb service tonight. The orders were within 2 minutes of each other. He ordered the lobster and filet as one entree and a porter house as the other. Items were good but mine took forever. I ordered a chicken sandwich grilled, wedge salad, and steakhouse Mac and cheese. We get to outback at 9:50 and wait til 10:08 for our order to come out. Projected time was 9:59. Of course I know Restaurant could have been busy but when my buddies order came out mine was nowhere to be found. A chicken sandwich lost in the window while a medium steak is now sitting in the car dying because of a mishap. Few more people pull up to get their meals and literally the time is now 10:17. 20 minutes after projected time to be ready and 9 minutes for my buddies food to jus sit there. We watched a lady walk out with a bag gave it to a car and that lady brought back the bag. Moments later you see whoever's at the stand lookin in the bag and then out the window. A gentleman brought out a bag and apologized for the delay. I literally asked him was this the bag the lady jus brought back? He stuttered and could not complete a sentence. I began to explain how long it takes for a chicken sandwich to be made while a medium steak is jus sitting here. I explain how unsanitary it is to jus hand over a bag after the food was in possession of another customer after he admitted it was. Shortly after explaining how I should be refunded for the mishap a lady busts out with a bag and says here you go since we love you so much here's a new one. What the heck!? I proceed to give back the bag that was in possession of the other customer and explained how unsanitary that was. That lady could have spit, licked, touched all my food and the staff thinks that's okay? Not to mention, we never once were told, "hey sorry your order was messed up" or "I'm sorry" until the end when the new order was brought out Pretty annoyed and irritated how my experience at Outback was tonight. Will not be ordering from this location again. If you enjoy wondering if your curb side service meal hasn't been in the hands of another customer before you got there, then this is the place for you! read more

I'll make this short... Dylan (pronounced Die-Lynn) was so great. Happy, personable and attentive. He was a pleasure to have as our waiter. This particular restaurant is beachside in Florida, so we expected a short staff, since it's only 4 days after Hurricane Irma. The restaurant was very full. Pleasant manager (a female-sorry I forgot your name) came to our table asking how we liked everything.. loved that. 4 not 5 stars because my rib eye steak ($28) was very sinewy. My husband and I had a wonderful experience yesterday at this Outback. Craig was our server and he also had an assistant, a nice lady named Cali. They were both friendly and efficient and helped make my husband's birthday a very nice experience Our steaks were cooked to perfection, my lobster tail was generous and cooked perfect. We came here because my mother in law likes it. Oh my goodness, what a disappointment. So many disappointments that I don't even know where to begin. Let's start with the drinks. All I can say is - Don't bother. The cocktails we ordered were lacking in the alcohol department. They were either overly sweet or sour without any noticeable liquor mixed in. I ordered the 8oz prime rib for my meal and it came with two sides. I ordered the mashed potatoes and a salad. I asked if they had a balsamic vinaigrette option. Our waitress said "yes but it comes on the side". I thought that a strange comment. Turns out it is not a vinaigrette but a bottle of oil and a bottle of vinegar. Really make your own and not emulsified in any way. Had I known, I would have chosen something different. My mother in law ordered the potato soup and sent the first one back because it was too cold. The second time it came out it was too thick and had too many onions in it. The biggest disappointment though was my meal. Very contrary to my primary complaint which is that my food was under seasoned and bland, here was just the opposite. Both my meat and potatoes were obscenely over seasoned. The prime rib had a thick crust of seasoning that I really found distasteful. In fact, I couldn't eat any of the crust portion of my piece. Unfortunately my piece was cut very poorly and had large portions of crust. I the interior portion was cut very thin so most of the 8oz was from crust. The mashed potatoes had too much salt as well but were at least mostly edible. I left most of my meal on my plate. We did order hot fudge sundaes for dessert that were very good. Our waitress was very nice and took my mother in law sending back both her drink and her soup well. I did have that hiccup about the salad dressing and she forgot to bring the honey butter we asked for but through it all she always had a smile on her face and a great attitude. read more

My parents love Outback and live near. We picked up takeout and they have been doing takeout well since before Covid. My parents both had steaks that were good. My wife had chicken and I had a burger. We all enjoyed our meals and everything was packed nice and was fresh. I have been getting takeout for 20 years from this location. The food was terribly prepared. After waiting for about 45 minutes we get the meal and it was cold. Did not look like the pictures on the menu at all the server was never around. In fact, a different server came to our table and gave us drinks because our original server I believe his name was Michael, what is not around to check on us . After a few bites of my meal, I was disgusted. They also served my pregnant fiancé, raw shrimps that were supposed to be cooked. And a shrimp pasta mind you my fiancé is not supposed to eat raw food, so put our baby in great jeopardy. Me and my fiancé are Hispanic. In my vehicle, my fiancé asked me was it a racial thing? Was that really the reason we didn't get good service? Was it because our ethnical background that we were treated the way they treated us. We came to Daytona beach on vacation and could not find ANYWHERE to eat. Everywhere was short staffed or just didn't care enough to even talk to us at the hostess stand, so we left. We finally found this Outback Steakhouse at 10:00 at night, and they were so sweet and amazing! The hostess was very sweet and sat us right away, our waiter was amazing and our food was out within 15 minutes of us sitting down. Could have been the time of night, but there were quite a few people in there at that time. Everything was amazing and they were short staffed as well. Just goes to show that being short staffed isn't a reason for crappy service or crappy attitudes. Definitely go here! read more

Took my wife to lunch there today. Very few occupied tables-should have been my first warning-no lunch crowd. Seated and our waitress brought our drinks, soda and a water. Ordered a blooming onion appetizer. Waitress brought that. Waited 30 minutes for her to return to order our entrées. She never came back. Requested 2 times for our waitress to no avail. Manager came over and I told her our waitress had not came back. She said "I know."No explanation nor apology. I requested my check for the appetizer and soda. Paid it and left. After this visit, I will never patronize another Outback. I will be letting all our friends and acquaintances know how low the Outback has fallen. Be wise and don't go there. Starting off, today was my first time going to an Outback Steakhouse. My girlfriend was excited to get her blooming onion, not going to lie, I was excited to try it myself. It did not disappoint. It was great! We also ordered the twisted ribs, which were fall off the bone and doused in a sweet barbecue sauce and drizzled with an aioli like sauce that was awesome! The soup of the day which was a creamy onion soup was pretty good, but just a bit too heavy for my liking. To finish off our meal we split a center cut sirloin (ordered mid rare) and grilled shrimp combo with a side of asparagus. The meat was cooked great! The grilled shrimp was tender, and the asparagus was cooked to a light crunch with great flavor. Tiffany was our server, and let me tell you, she was absolutely on her "A" game. She was super kind, super attentive, quite funny, and all round a great server. The service was amazing. We were also greeted by Forrest, the manager. My boyfriend and I came here while visiting Daytona beach and we weren't expecting much but WOW. We sat at the bar immediately because it genuinely looked like everyone was having the best time over there. As soon as we sat down we were greeted by Aliyah who was so attentive and sweet and she made some of the most delicious cocktails we had while we were in Daytona! My family was not happy last time we were at outback! My son and husband ordered prime rib and both of them said it was chewy, not tender at all! My mom ordered chicken Alfredo pasta , and she was not happy because her chicken was spicy. My daughter got the Mac and cheese and she said it was not the same, as she used to get. I got a Caesar salad and baked potato soup, mine was good. The last time we went their during Covid , there were not as many people and our steaks were great. If I could give 0 starts I would, I went tonight with my dad to have a nice dinner and literally was disgusted. They were short staffed which is understandable it happens, but when the food came out it literally was disgusting. My dad ordered a medium cooked steak and it was RAW. Wasn't cooked AT ALL, it looked like they opened the package & put it on the plate, the women who served our dish was a different person from our waitress and she threw his plate which caused his sauce to spill, I ordered my steak medium well and when I cut into it blood came out, I was disgusted and sent it back to be cooked more, my dad told them to take his plate back he lost his appetite. We spoke with the women manager & she didn't even apologized but informed us they are backed up and this is the 9th steak of the night that got sent back. I don't know why she would even say that. The other manager who was a man was playing with his finger in the corner not helping his team. There were two young men also working and goofing off not helping also. Our waitress was 9 months pregnant and the server that was helping her was working the hardest out of everyone there. (Even though the server threw my dads food). I would not recommend. The table next to us also returned their steak so obviously they need a new cook and new team. read more
