Brought my 16 year old for a mother daughter date night, after having a not so good steak at another steakhouse in port orange for lunch. Our delivery address got canceled from the Ormond Beach Outback a few weeks ago with no warning or sorry. We order from there 2 to 3 times per week. I called and spoke to the owner/managing partner and was told it was a corporate decision and that we were literally less than a block from the cut off. He said he would request a change and would call me back in a few days. Never heard back. We helped support local business during Covid, but now that it is almost past, they don't return the favor. We walked in here for Valentines dinner and we were so close to wait for 45 minutes but a lovely barstool came open and a highboy. We were greeted by Tiffany who was the most outstanding waitress! So some time back we had visited this Outback and had a bad experience which I did review on Yelp. Being we like Outback Restaurants and we use them often we figured we would give this one a chance again. When we entered we were greeted very nicely and given a table to sit at with menu. The restaurant was not half full which seemed strange for the time of day. We then sat there for about 15 to 20 minutes with no waiter or waitress,which is exactly what happened the last time. A waiter passed and we asked for service. He apologized and said he would find our waitress. She responded immediately and said she would be right back and didn't return. Meanwhile two other tables who were seated after us already had been waited and served drinks...So much for this Outback,we left! The manager did apologize as we were leaving! read more

We all very much enjoyed our meals. To be honest we haven't been to an outback in a year or more. I was very pleased with the service and the food. We ordered the blooming onion and Caesar salads. I ordered the prime rib and had them finish it on the grill. It was perfect! Rare but warm in the middle with grilled surface. We love outback Steakhouse at Ormond Beach Fl. Their steaks are always great. But don't go too late they won't have any prime rib. The last three times we have been there i wanted prime rib. It was around 8 in the evening so i kinda expected them not to have it and sure enough they didn't. I like the 16 oz. Med. Rare so watch the time if you want prime rib. Get there by 6pm. read more

The waitress was very nice. My wife got the Gold Coast shrimp and they came out perfect. I ordered the blooming burger cooked medium. The burger came out still cold in the middle completely raw. It also had no seasoning on it (in stark contrast to Longhorn steakhouse 7 pepper steak salad). It took so long to get my steak back, that I had finished my salad and everyone else had finished their meal too. It was quiet when we went, so I am confused as to why it took so long.The flavor wasn't nearly as good as the sirloin steak, which we ordered grilled on a wood fire. I so rarely write a review for chain restaurants because I doubt they make much difference but based on the experiences I have had here in the past few months, I have to say something. My family lives nearby and we have ordered take out from here a lot but more recently I ordered the mahi mahi, picked it up and brought it home only to discover that it was STILL FROZEN. That's right, still frozen. How does someone toss that on your plate and think that is ok? Then comes tonight, I ordered a house salad and a baked potato with cheese and butter on the side and my Mom got the Victoria's filet with a baked sweet potato and a house salad. Our salads were inedible with the lettuce tasting like chlorine and actually being brown in a lot of spots. That is, what little lettuce was in the salad- it was mostly stalks. Now, you think a baked potato is easy peasy- not for outback! It was cooked so badly (or was so old) that is was actually chunky and hard and unable to be mixed with my toppings. The steak they claimed to be a filet was so thin and small that it surely must have been a crappy piece or sirloin or something worse. So tough and terrible. For the record, my baked potato was shoved into the container with my Mom's steak and sweet potato...which just seems weird. Why shove them all in one container? I also don't eat meat so I didn't appreciate having my baked potato needing to be washed free of steak juice before I could eat it. No joke, one of our dogs took the leftover steak out of the trash bag , ran with it for a second, and then spit it back out! If a dog won't eat the food there, why is anyone else!? This place either needs new management or to get some decent ingredients. The only redeeming quality was the super nice girl who worked in the takeout line. Katie maybe? Super nice and very professional. I will probably never eat at an Outback again. read more

Our steaks were cooked to the wrong doneness (one overcooked, one undercooked) and the waiter didn't stay long enough after dropping them off for us to cut them. We were visiting Daytona Beach and although this wasnt the best Outback weve been to. It was pretty good. One thing I do like. Which seems to happen infrequent is he manager coming to table to see how the service is. I like to be honest and let them know. They are renovating outside. So the appeal originally was not all there. But we were In the mood for Outback. We tried the artichoke flatbreads and shredded beef with chips nachos ( dont remember the name) but it was Awesome and addicting. A must try. The bathroom was clean which is one area I like to rate restaurants. It seems petty but it gives me an idea of whats important to management. The little things which is huge! A contradiction in itself bit I digress. The food was great and the waitress was excellent. The manager did stop by and ask about the service which is a plus because you rarely get that anymore these days. I gave it 4 stars mainly because our appetizer and salad arrived before our drinks. Poor service AGAIN!!! 3 out of last 4 times in 3 weeks for take out. And it's not like they were too busy or understaffed. Sitting and watching cooks and staff use the take away entrance as a revolving door for what I'm guessing as the smoke break door while cars line up waiting for food that is NOT ready On time is frustrating enough but seeing the staff so sloppy dirty was equally bad. Last week I had to go inside to even get service with bags of food lined up, cars lined up and server taking orders on the phone while others just chit chatting not pitching in... I waited 14 minutes before I went inside for service. 2 weeks ago almost the same but never went in...so last time I said no more. Tonight was worse. Car next to meet got some of their order and waited 10 more or longer minutes for onion app. Food must be cold by then. We sat 17 min. After paying... 12 minutes past our latest pick up time and went in to see where food was... Most staff in and out in and out... Lets say no organization or focus or urgency. Piss poor management. Forgot silverware 3 out of 4 times. Wrong salad dressing last time. Paying for service and quality.... Cant deliver that... Lower your prices. read more

Wow what a TEAM at the OUTBACK in Ormond BEACH. This is our favorite place for steak. The Management team of Stacy,RG and Forrest are by far the best. RG cooked my son's steak to perfection in the past and did it again by request by us this time. Thank you! Stacy stopped by and we were happy to see her as she has worked to go for weeks and is always helpful and we feel the love. The food was pretty good, although everything was quite overpriced considering what you get (ex: serving sizes). For example, I got asparagus (which I believe is considered a premium side) and I was only served like 5 pieces. Also, my cheese steak sandwich was a bit bland and definitely needed more flavor. Our waitress was nice, but a bit uninvolved and hostile at times. We got cheesecake to go after our meal, and it was $8!! This shocked me at first, but I went with it. Upon arriving home and eating said cheesecake, it was half frozen and the caramel topping was almost hard. Definitely not worth the price!! read more

Brought my wife here for belated birthday dinner. Wife got a steak with a strange hickory wood flavor, however, the staff was awesome and they changed it out. The replacement steak was fantastic and she was happy. Which means I was happy. Kids enjoyed their meals. I would recommend. read more

So, we went to Outback last night for dinner after we received two gift cards from the Outback on ISB. We were seated promptly (which was the only highlight of the experience). A few minutes later, our server Jessica came over and introduced herself. She took our drink and appetizer order, as we already knew what we were getting. Shortly after she returned with bread and our drinks. She brought the blooming onion out with two sides of sauce (one in the middle and one on the edge). A side of the blooming onion was missing, so, I guess they tried to compensate for our loss by providing extra sauce. She took our order for our entrees and another server brought us our salads. I'm truly not a fan of shredded lettuce, so, overall, the salad course was a waste of time as we really didn't eat much of it. After about thirty minutes of waiting, another server brings us our entrees. My fiance noticed that his rib eye was separated with a huge section of fat in the middle. When Jessica finally came to our table to inquire how everything was, I told her that everything was bad, and she wanted to know what was bad. Well, I figured since she wanted to know everything, I started with her. Her service was awful, our drinks were empty the entire time, and we just felt like we weren't welcome. When I brought the quality of the rib eye steak to her attention, she stated "rib eyes are going to be fatty because of the marbling". A 4 ounce portion of fat in the center of the steak does not constitute as marbling. One of the managers on duty, Michelle (I think that's what her name was) came over and she inquired about the quality of the steak. When I told her that it was not going to be eaten and the issues that I was having with Jessica, she apologized, offered to box up the uneaten steak and loaded baked potato. I declined her offer and she advised that I would not be charged for the entree. Shortly after wards, Jessica finally came over with a refill for my drink. She didn't even say a word, which, I thought was pretty cowardly. Twenty minutes later, she brings me the check, I throw in the two gift cards and leave. I will say this, I will NEVER EVER EVER return to Outback. I offered them a second chance and they blew it. Do yourself a favor, steer clear and find a better steakhouse. read more

That was a disappointing two hours of my life I will never get back. Service was slow, food was over cooked, they ran out of some of what we ordered, one out of three stalls in the ladies room were functional, and the soap dispenser was off the wall and laying on the counter! How is this acceptable for a major chain during a huge seasonal tourist weekend?! (4th of July race in Daytona) Mind you, they weren't that busy. Only a 20 minute wait. I have waited an hour before and received much better service and conditions. Rated a two only because my second steak was very good. What a shame.... read more

Newly renovated, friendly staff and terrific food quality. The music playing was way too loud in the dining room but other than that, no complaints. Will visit again read more
