Great place to eat when in Twin Falls. We showed up at 8:35 pm on a Sunday after a long day on the road and the staff was very friendly and offered great service. We thanked them for working past closing and they were most sincere. So much, when one of the servers came up and asked how we were doing, we answered and asked him the same and he replied "Hey, I'm working so I'm happy!" I came here early on a night that had only 3 other occupied tables. Nobody greeted me. I waited a few minutes and then picked out my own table. I also got my own menu. The waitress finally at that point asked me what I would like and I ordered a glass of wine and water. It was very quiet in the restaurant due to the few number of customers there. I wasn't very hungry so I ordered a small Caesar salad and a loaded baked potato. I was told that the potatoes wouldn't be ready until 5pm. It was 4:45 so I was fine with that. I received my salad and it tasted fine. I then waited for my potato. After about 20 minutes, the waitress asked me if I was ready for my potato. Hmmmmmm. Ok So I said yes. The ONLY reason I'm giving this a three star rating is because our waitress, Melissa, was fantastic. We don't have an Outback where we live, and having been given some gift cards, we were looking forward to using them on our out of town dinner. We were seated promptly and had drinks in hand in short order. The blackberry martini was amazing. Melissa got our order, and we had the bread (which was soft, warm, and tasty) and onion petals while we waited for our meal. Then came the entrees. I'm not an overly picky eater, but this was perhaps one of the worst experiences in food that I have personally had. I took a few bites of my salmon, and it just didn't feel right. The lighting made it hard to see, so I pulled out my phone and turned on the flashlight to see that it was barely cooked. The broccoli was steamed nicely and tasted good, but the mashed potatoes were flavorless. How do you ruin mashed potatoes? We got Melissa's attention, and she took one look at the fish and was like "Whoa ... that's bad!" They we're going to cook me up another piece, but at this point my appetite was ruined. The management did take the meal off the bill. My husband had a steak and shrimp pasta dish. He said the pasta was ok and the shrimp was decent, but it was perhaps the worst, most flavorless steak he'd ever eaten. That's pretty bad, because he's eaten a lot of steak, including steak I've attempted cooking/grilling. We won't be back ... Texas Roadhouse is right down the street. read more

I'm not a frequent visitor to Outback Steakhouse but I thought this chain had a reliable reputation, so I assumed the low rating here was just an anomaly. I came away with a similar assessment though after visiting with my family. I ordered the steak with lobster mac n cheese and loaded mashed potatoes. As long as the steak is cooked right, everything else should be a cake walk. Unfortunately the mac n cheese wasn't enjoyable and neither were the mashed potatoes. The mac n cheese was on par with boxed pasta and a powdered cheese mix. The mashed potatoes had hardly any flavor and far too much sour cream. The shredded cheese was piled on top of the sour cream so there was no chance it would ever melt into the potatoes. The steak was cooked how I like and lightly salted so it was enjoyable, but it never gave me that satisfying grunt that a good steak can. $20 is just too much for a meal that can't deliver at least one quality side. We also ordered a couple bloomin' onions for the table which were just ok. The complimentary bread and butter was perhaps the most enjoyable, next to my steak. The service was very friendly but wait times were long even after the Saturday dinner rush. We were ready for our checks and checking our watches probably 30 minutes before leaving. But my sister got her meal comp'd because her steak was overdone, so that's cool. My perception going away was "Applebees, but with higher prices." read more

She did not adjust the bill much at all, removing a side salad and the bloomin onion in lieu of the crappy steak we were served. I live and die by Yelp reviews and so I trust the reviews here. This was my first time going to an Outback Steakhouse. It was a bit after peak lunch rush (2pm). My date and I were seated in a booth on one side of the restaurant which had several other parties seated in the same location. The table and eating utensils were clean. I ordered the Aussie Cobb Salad with crispy chicken. The menu said it came with sliced hard boiled eggs shredded cheese and homemade croutons. The wait was not long. Portion size was very generous. The salad was delivered in a large bowl that was piled so high I couldn't eat out of it without spilling all over the table. Unfortunately, the hard boiled eggs were missing. The salad was OK. It was about half iceberg lettuce and half romaine. The croutons and shredded cheese were out of a bag. There was so much cheese i had to remove it from the bowl. The chicken was delicious. Then, I am a member of Dine Rewards and even though I have received multiple emails that I had a reward and needed to use it by next week, our server said it wasn't there. I have been to outback in other states, and they were all amazing. But I was completely shocked at this location in twin falls. The steak WAS NOT freshly cooked. It was warmed up.. and the bake as potato was not baked that day. I feel really bad because Outback was always a upscale place and had good food. This location is a sad example. Two warmed up ribeyes and baked potatoes. Salty veggies that were warmed up too.. $81 at lunchtime. Save yourself the 80 and go over to another steakhouse to get a fresh meal. The Outback Steakhouse left a lot to be desired. As a chef, myself, I was very disappointed in the overall meal there on the 5th of August. We seated at table 1. Our server was Cydney B. I was treating friends to a nice dinner out, and while they were not displeased because of lack of experience, I was not pleased with the food or the service. We started with appitizers, and while the bloomin onion and the cheese fries were acceptable, the Ahi tuna was served cold. It is supposed to be seared and still warm. The salads served next were disappointing. The dressing was under the salad, and the blue cheese dressing had no blue cheese to be found. The main courses were as follows; steaks were served cooked to order but lukewarm, the lobster was over cooked and rubbery, the coconut shrimp were overly sweet, and the pasta served was not hot and lacked enough sauce. Further, the staff had to be asked to produce more cutlery after removing the original cutlery with the appetizers and the horseradish was so vinegar laden, it tasted like saurkraut. The drinks were fine as was the bread, but the rest wasn't up to standard. The waitress, seemed to be rude and more interested in her nose piercing than the customers. My husband, son and I had the worst experience tonight for dinner. First of all our server was absolutely outrageously horrible! He took forever to take our drink order, than our food order he took on a coaster, which would not have been an issue but everything came out incorrect. I didn't get my soup like I ordered, my son got mashed potatoes, instead of fries and 2 slices of oranges for "fruit" bowl. My husband ordered Aussie cheese fries, he got nothing, and to top it all off, we had to ask another server for a refill on our drinks became our server had not come back to check on us in over 20 minutes! Outback isn't what it used to be...but then I guess Australia isn't either. It would be nice if they cleaned the cobwebs on their light fixtures. Halloween was 5 months ago. Chicken and shrimp, while cooked to the proper temperature, were dusted with so much of their seasoning, they looked like they were accidentally dropped in the peppery mixture. It was so overbearing, we couldn't eat it. We like spicy...I even use ghost pepper and reaper dust when cooking at home, but I'm not a fan of the black pepper forward concoction and it was just too much of it. My wife's Caesar salad was oddly bitter and simply inedible, especially with more chicken. Super long service delays ignored because of this weird world we now live in, but we still expect good food. The manager was more than generous and comped the entire meal, but said that is how their proteins are seasoned...kind of how your toddler would season food...by removing the cap and dumping the entire contents. We told her the offer was unnecessary, but she acknowledged the shortcomings which is much appreciated and the reason we left a 50 percent tip on what the bill should have been. Outback is what it is... I am sometimes a little embarrassed to go there - I have spent time in Australia, and have a very dear friend that lives there. Not so much 'Australian' - but I digress... I know what going to get when I do go there, it's at least usually consistent. Stopped in at this location tonight to get some food to go. The service was great, friendly and prompt. I hadn't eaten at the Outback in years and was super excited to go in have the old legendary bloomin onion. We ordered a salad with steak and lobster, the ranch dressing was really watery but not a big deal. However when the steak and lobster came the portion sizes were so small I almost laughed out loud think this was a joke. When I asked the waitress and about the portion sizes she said oh yes well thats the size it comes with. To put it into perspective I cut the entire lobster in 1/2 and out the whole thing into a cup of drawn butter with room to spare in the cup. This topped with terrible service from a waitress we saw only twice then passed us off. It's fair to say it won't be years till I go back it'll be never. This review is for the Manager, Angie who went above and beyond. We sat in the bar and originally got great service, but once we got our food that was it...NO ONE stopped by to fill out drinks ( which were empty most of our meal) and we waited for our check over 7 minutes before I finally got up to ask the hostess for it. Several servers walked past our table and ignored us, we tried to wave a few of them down, again they ignored us. We left the restaurant (we were parked across the street - in RV ) and Angie ran over to us to apologize. We're traveling from CA. Angie saved this review from 1 star to 4. I'm absolutely horrified by this steak house. As soon as I sipped my coke which tasted watered down I knew i had to leave but decided to give it a chance. Our server for some odd reason thinks he can remember everything and doesn't write your order down to later come back and ask what you had order to make sure it was right. I ordered a ribeye steak with a baked potatoes and Mac n cheese. My order arrives to table and it's steak and broccoli and I'm told there's no baked potatoes right now and if I would like something else I say French fries he says alright comes back with fries no ketchup and also doesn't bring my Mac n cheese probably because he didn't write down the order and forgot about it. I then proceed to eat the steak and woah it was like I just took a bite out of the ocean "salty" is an understatement worse steak I've ever had. My wife had the bloomin burger she states the burger was cold, cheese wasn't even melted, buns felt and tasted cheap and absolutely no flavor. We were both absolutely disappointed. Visited family in Twin Falls and everyone decided to go here for lunch. I was a little worried due to our previous experience but it's been awhile. We get there and see the outside had been updated with paint, made it much more...noticeable and more pleasant from the highway. Inside looked like it got new flooring and felt much cleaner. It didn't smell like a sewer!!! Service was excellent and the food was sooo much better. There was no hair in the salad, the salad looked fresh and the food was delicious. I couldn't find anywhere really unique to eat at in Twin Falls due to the time of night and my Dad's dining requirements, so we were pretty much stuck with the Outback. Now, I'm not a big chain type guy and I hadn't been to an Outback in maybe 10 years. To say I was apprehensive would be an understatement.... I'm sure this Outback is just like any other. It reminds me a bit of Chilis or Applebees in the layout. It's clean, bright, and has lots of room to move around. We sat by the bar and had a super friendly waitress attending to us right away. I had a healthy chicken dish and Dad had steak. My food was surprisingly terrific and I had a bite of my Dad's meal which was also really good! We also got bread refills which was cool because I love that brown bread! Everybody at this Outback was a superstar from service to food. I travel to Twin falls every month and this outback is really close to the hotel I stay in so I go here often. I have never had a problem dining in however I generally get something to go and eat in my hotel. I haven't done that once yet that there wasn't something wrong. Steak overcooked, missing items, missing ingredients. It's always something today was the last time I'll be going there. I ordered a pork porterhouse medium. It was pretty close to medium but old! The pork tasted old as though it had been sitting around for a week or so. The bread they gave me was so old, hard, and stale it was inedible. And to top it all off, no silverware. Not to mention that I waited for 10 minutes before anyone greeted me. I've managed restaurants for 25 years, I understand how things happen, but it's every single time!! When we got her attention she brought another beer, yet on the tab charged us for both! I'm a fan of the food. I had a small steak & shrimp meal. I really like the way their steak is seasoned.
