Kim's Home Center is the OG Home Goods shop in Koreatown and I love it…read more They have a small parking lot which can fill up quickly but it's nice that they have one in KTown! Staff has always been friendly and kind, keeping in mind speaking Korean is helpful if you are looking for something specific. It's NOT necessary, just helpful. They have so many Korean focused products mostly in home goods like kitchen items, tons of bedding, rice cookers and kimchi fridges, but also things like makeup, skincare and clothes. Well priced house slippers with a lot of options! The entire second floor is electronics and more expensive goods, which I hear are not the best to buy here. I usually stick to cheaper items, more kitchen and cooking related needs at Kim's. They have a pretty strict return policy which I hear is a bit risky for more pricey items. I went in specifically for Makgeolli supplies and was so happy to find the pot & cups I needed, at nearly half the price of amazon! Support local stores instead of shopping online! I'm definitely a fan of Kim's Home Center and will come here for all my related needs in the future.

Many of their products are made in Korea, which I loved! I came for something very specific and not only did they have the product, it was much cheaper compared to what I can find online. I ended up buying more than what I came here for because I couldn't pass on the high quality slippers, buckwheat pillows, and dishwashing gloves! This place has a small parking lot attached, but they also have another parking lot just across the street for overflow. They accept credit card as well!

Just got my new GE washer and dryer from Johnnie's Appliances In Downey…read more Miguel in Sales was so helpful with narrowing down what I should get! Kristin in Sales helped too! Instaler Allan was so friendly and patient, , overall great experience!

I originally sent a text requesting a repair on my ice maker for my Whirlpool Refrigerator ( I gave…read morethem the Model and Serial number in the text) to Johnnie's appliances and received a response to call and set up an appointment. I did on Monday 8/17/26, I was informed the service charge would be $110.00 and needed to be paid to confirm the appointment (9am to 1pm window on Saturday 8/22/26). Also was told the service tech would call 30 minutes before arriving. At 1pm no call or show. I called them at 1:15 and was told they did not have an appointment for me or my address, asked when I made the appointment, I told her it was made on Monday 8/17/26. The women said well our system has been down since Wednesday, but we can reschedule for next Monday. I told her that was unacceptable that I will on vacation for the next 3 weeks. I told her I already paid for the service call and even gave her the bank info., and she seemed to have found the charge. Was put on hold and she came back telling me a service tech would be out between 6 and 7pm today 8/22/26. I would receive a call from the tech 30 minutes prior to coming. I called at 6:30 and they were closed. GUESS WHAT! AGAIN a NO SHOW and NO CALL. They have my money (for now, I filed a dispute with my credit card), thank GOD I didn't put it on my Debit card. I'd be out the $110.00 for NO SERVICE and RUDE customer service personnel. I understand computers go down, but really a small company like them and they don't even keep paperwork (like service order tickets on paper). I work for a multinational corporation and even we keep service orders on paper and on the computer for just this reason. When their system went down, the first thing they should have done was look online at their banking history and see who had service charges paid, It would give them the names of WHO paid and then they could have done a call back (most names have phone numbers listed for them) to see when their appointments were for. INSTEAD they called NO ONE to see if appointments were scheduled. I know that is a lot of work, but to keep your business running without angering your clients, that's what a dependable company would do. Better yet don't COMPLETELY rely on computers or the internet, keep a service order/appointment list IN PAPER. SMH what is this world coming too, such lazy people and companies. It all falls back on the person needing the services. Before closing for the day, you should have reached out to make sure your service techs were going to be able to get to appointments for the day, ESPECIALLY since you knew there was issues with appointments. Now I'll be worrying about my refrigerator, it is just the ice maker or is it something bigger while I'm on a very needed vacation. Plus, the Downey store is within walking distance to my home (across the street literally). Johnnie's Appliance - SHAME ON YOU
