Found this brilliant local restaurant on accident. A fellow globetrotter recommended Flora Farms... For some reason we thought Flora Farms was here...must have been the heat & humidity. Only when we walked here, we realized the actual farm is in San Jose, a fair distance from here. No worries. The Outpost is part of the Flora Farms family, or is a partner...err...something like that. Well...one amazing mistake later...we couldn't be happier. The food was amazing & the service was on par. By far the best restaurant we ever been to in Cabo. The drinks were delicious, I got the flight of margaritas and he brought it out and it was like a show. We just got chips and salsa and Guacamole to snack on and wow, so tasty. Even the chips were delicious, our waiter Benny made the whole experience even more great with his great personality and attentiveness. He checked on us multiple and talked with us making us feel super welcomed. Definitely looking forward to my next Cabo trip and this is the first place we will come to. The food was excellent, but we had a frustrating experience with the service. Our waiter poured two bottles of water for the table without informing us of the price. Since 6 of us had all ordered individual drinks, we didn't expect to be charged for water that ended up costing more than our juices. It would be helpful if the staff could clarify when water isn't free to avoid surprising guests at the end of their meal. read more

Really disappointed in our experience. Our family of 5 dined here this evening and it did not live up to its 4.6 star review. We arrived without a reservation and were offered to sit at a counter overlooking the street or in a back room. The room was a beautiful garden, so we took the table. We ordered our food, and it arrived 50 minutes later. The waiter came to check in us once, and basically forgot about us...on a Monday night, it was not busy. The food was average at best... and our bill was over $210...with no alcohol being ordered. They added a $610 peso service fee to the bill before i could decide on how much i would have tipped. We went in with high hopes, but were extremely disappointed and felt taken advantage of! read more

After watching a number of TikTok videos on Cabo while planning our trip, outpost was a must do in our list! We stopped by for some drinks, make sure you have a reservation. It was super windy the day we were here and opted for indoor seating by the bar. Our server was so so sweet! Best suggestions for drinks. Husband got the O'lverna - so spicy and great mezcal punch. I got the Xrated margarita - I loved it, has a nice taste not too sweet and loved that the glass was rimmed with with coconut flour (so rare). My friends got the chocolate martini and the smoked hibiscus drink - spectacular! We chose to get an appetiser, elote corn with chips, very tasty! Loved our experience here, service is top notch! Came for breakfast this morning around 8am. We seemed like their first customers of the day. It is sleepy and quiet in town at that hour. Everyone else must have still been sleeping off the previous night. Service was very kind and helpful. We ordered some really good coffee to start. My husband had the simple eggs, beans and potatoes with a side of really crispy bacon. I had the chilequilles with half red and half green sauce, topped with scrambled eggs and steak. We cannot believe how poor the service was! We had a reservation for 12 on Valentines for a bachelorette party. After being seated at 7:30 the table was only touched once to drop off the drinks. It was 9:30 when we decided to leave because we had no food. There were multiple other parties served before us. I came down to the bar to pay for the drinks that we had and let one of the managers know that we were leaving because we had not gotten our food in 2 hours. The worker at the bar told us to go ahead and leave and he was sorry that happened to us. Then the server chased us down the street and demanded that our group come back and pay. It was embarrassing and totally unwarranted to bring back our party and make a scene. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Poor service all the way around. read more

Watered down drinks and flavorless food. My friends and I stopped by for a late dinner because their kitchen is open until midnight. I shared the truffled potato wedges which barely tasted like truffle compared to the regular potato wedges. For a drink I got the farm julep and it was completely watered down. The fried chicken burger was also dry and unseasoned. I ended up slathering the sauce from the fries on it. For the price, I'm very disappointed. Also the waiter tried selling us a family style "deal" with three appetizers, 3 entrees, and a dessert of their choice for $59/person. After doing the math, it was definitely a scam. read more

Just great food with impeccable service. This is the same owner as Flora's Farm (we I recommend and are at two days ago). Please do make reservation for Flora's Farm in advance. Flora's farm is a little ways past San Jose. Food is fresh (farm to table). The truffle fries are delicious. Good healthy eating that just tastes good. I will start with the good, the drinks were on point, everything else not so much. Starting from the fact that as we arrived we were told that the rooftop was closed, only to see people being taken up, 15 minutes after we arrived - could have been that they had reservations, but there is a way to let us know without us feeling unwanted, or rejected. We ordered a seviche, guacamole, and drinks. At the start, the service seemed good, but unfortunately this didn't last. Keep in mind that it was far from a busy night, there were 10 ppl in the lower bar/seating area. Food arrived relatively quickly, but that is the only good thing I can say about it. the seviche was flavorless, I had to squeeze a lime we got for our sparkling water to make it at least have some flavor, and the guacamole was BLAND yet somehow too sweet due to sweet corn in it (to me adding corn to guac makes no sense at all). Issues with the service started once we reached the bottom 1/3 of our drinks, relentlessly being asked if we wanted another round every 5 minutes, which we did not, but we were still talking and enjoying the night, yet felt pestered to either order a drink or leave, we chose the later never to darken their doors again. read more

Ceviche with fresh sea bass was good! The quinoa salad was also flavorful although i wouldnt really classify it as a "salad" more like quinoa with veggies. This was one of the best meals we've ever had from start to finish. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. We opted for indoor with AC. We came here for dinner on a Sunday and my husband and I were seated right away. For drinks, we had the margarita trilogy. All of them were good but the avocado margarita was our favorite. I would go back just to have one of those. We also enjoyed the presentation of the drinks. For appetizers we had the Esquites O.P. And truffled potato wedges. Both were delicious. I've had truffle fries many times before but nothing like the ones at Outpost. For entrees I had the carbonara pasta with shrimp and my husband had the flat iron tacos. My pasta and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. While there are many restaurants in CSL and we're only here for a week, we we definitely be returning before we leave. read more

It was our last night in Cabo and we were late to have dinner and Outpost opened late so we made a last minute reservation. I am so glad we came here. The price was fair for such good food so we were able to order a lot of dishes to try. The shrimp was hugeeeee and tasted like lobster. We should've gotten 2 plates of that. It was also ladies night so we got to try a few drinks at one price. Such a win! We had the most amazing service here thanks to our server, Julio and his team. I enjoy coming to The Outpost every time I'm in Cabo. We're actually staying in San Jose Del Cabo but made the 20 mile drive just to eat on their patio. Not only is the ambiance great but the service and food make this little spot an all around great experience. We started with a margarita, the cheese board and truffle wedges. The refreshing margarita was served with a spicy, salted rim. The cheese board came with several different cheeses, meats, grape tomatoes, grapes, sliced strawberries and crackers. We were able to mix several flavor combinations with the meats and cheeses. The cheese board was more than enough for 2 people and could easily be shared in a group setting. The truffle wedges were okay. I would have preferred a smaller French fry but this was more preference than anything. The wedges were full of flavor with with truffle oil and topped with Parmesan. For dinner we ordered the Citrus Ceviche and the filet mignon. The ceviche was amazing. The fish was fresh and delicious. Chose deck seating thinking it would be upstairs. It is on ground floor. Came in on Valentine's Day, it was extremely smoky at deck level. As someone who has asthma and sensitive eyes this is not ideal. The hostess of the restaurant ran to the the middle of the street because of how smoky the restaurant became. I can not recommend Outpost enough. I took my mom and her friend her for dinner and we were all blown away. The prices are excellent and the food is phenomenal. Every dish here is worth a try and of course their signature cocktails. Service was impeccable. When I asked to be seated upstairs after neglecting to make a reservation on open table, we were accommodated right away. Stunning views in combo with the food makes for an incredible ambiance. This place was sadly underwhelming. The hubby and I cancelled our Flora farms reservation when we saw this place was the sister company of it. They were very sweet and they tried their best but associating this place with Flora farms will really make your guests' expectation really high and that was the case for us. They first served us with a tomato mozarella amuse bouche and it was okay. My veggie burger was underwhelming in flavor and their catch of the day has a fishy taste to it. Compared to the one we got from Flora farms which tasted much fresher. One thing I really liked about this place is their drinks! Checking in on yelp gave me a free orange margarita and it was okay. Loved the vibes of this restaurant - they had a dj playing music in the main area and a few different areas to choose from for seating, including a private room for 8 a rooftop, and a pretty cool back bar area. We sat in the private room and ordered the following drinks: - Ol hombre: I ordered without jalapeño and enjoyed it - don't think it was too spicy with the jalapeño either. Also think they used parsley instead of cilantro but you couldn't taste it either way. - Chocolate martini: I added espresso to this and was not a fan - it was super thick, and was kind of like melted ice cream consistency / taste - Margarita sampler: the charcoal one didn't have a distinct taste but was the least sweet and pretty good. The avocado marg was super different and had almost a curry like taste with the coconut and avocado. Mezcal hibiscus was also good and a little sweeter For food it was a set menu because it was nye but we were able to pick and choose from the 4 course menu. Tourist traps are hard to avoid in Cabo, this one should not be avoided. The ambiance is spot on, drinks are very creative. The inside and downstairs was cute, the spiral stairs going up to the rooftop was decorated so colorfully and a great photo spot, and the rooftop seating along with the back garden room was stunning. I miss this spot the most. The food and drinks were all a 10000/10. The smoothies, the hibiscus and regular mimosas, the avocado toast, the fruit parfait, and the french toast. Their eggs tasted extremely fresh and were the best scrambled eggs I've had, along with their avocado toast. The presentation of each plate was beautifully done and every bite of french toast was so flavorful. We came here twice for breakfast because it was that good. The service was fantastic and they took care of us very well. They also have bottomless mimosas and came back often to make sure we got refills and had everything we needed.
