This place is a gem! We went in as a group tonight and left beyond satisfied. We started off with the Avocado Arugula Salad and it was very refreshing with the basil added in. The dressing was light and lovely. Then came out the boneless buffalo wings which were crispy and sauced to perfection! They weren't skimpy at all and they even have good ranch there. For pizza we had the pepperoni and it was crispy, not soggy and the perfect slice size for someone like me! On top of this, it's family owned and operated. Very refreshing to see and love supporting local! We will be back to try the specialty pizzas next! Sorry for no photos, the food was gone before I could get my phone out! I came here tonight to play trivia with a Meetup group. I had a calzone with BBQ chicken inside, which came with a side of marinara sauce. It was OK, but neither the barbecue sauce nor the marinara sauce was very good. Service, however, was good, and the food came out quickly. read more

This visit we decided not to do pizza. First mistake. It was happen hour so we ordered the Sampler Platter and Garlic Parmesan Wings as well as ravioli. The wings were greatly over sauced. They were swimming in the sauce. The sampler platter consisted of mozzarella sticks, fried mushrooms, zucchini sticks and jalapeño poppers. Nothing outstanding. Disappointed. The star of the show was the cheese ravioli. Perfectly cooked with ample sauce and cheese. The wait staff was fantastic as usual. I really like coming here since it's nice and relaxing to come in and sit at the bar with their great selection of beers and ciders or sit outside if the weather is great. We just had such a lovely experience here! We didn't realize we were there for Happy Hour ( it's Saturday). We were pleasantly surprised when we got our bill! The brussel sprouts as an app were amazing! Loved the balsamic with crispy bacon! Our small supreme pizza was so filling for the two of us. The crust was superb!!! I often see the owner pop up places inviting people to try out OV Pizza & Pints, and the restaurant staff are just as friendly when you visit. I was greeted when I came in and never felt like I was forgotten about (we dined in.) My dad even asked that they try to turn a different football game on and the staff were totally cool with doing that. We had a pizza with sausage, mushrooms, and pepperoni that was delicious. The crust is really good. We also had the cheese calzone, with no additional toppings, and it was stuffed full of cheese, the crust had a crisp bite before you got into the perfectly soft inside of it. We had the walnut gorgonzola salad that had a bit of a kick to it and really helped cut through any of the fatty, deliciousness of the rest of the food. And the prices are great! Finding really good pizza on the NW side is a challenge, and we were glad we finally tried OV Pizza and Pints. The wife had a nice glass of Hefeweizen while I had an iced tea - both well done and served by attentive help. We built our own pizza and are very happy to report it was excellent. Having been to Italy, we are tough customers but the pizza here has no faults - nice tasty crust, a sauce that compliments that crust and the toppings and as for the toppings, they were top quality and liberally applied. I know...I just left a review two days ago. Truth be told, the prior visit I reviewed took place a couple of months ago. I went again today with my family and parents. We ordered the appetizer sampler, the meatball appetizer, split a salad, the caprese appetizer, the margarita pizza, chicken wings and dessert and we absolutely loved it all. It was delicious and fresh. Not to say that my father is picky, but he was a huge fan of everything and really enjoyed his first visit. He was surprised that there could be such a good place so close to where they live. We told our server how good the food was and how we were enjoying the it all and she had a great genuine smile on her face. Good service comes about when people simply care about what they do. A great addition to OV! I LOVED their pizza! We got the Buffalo chicken pizza and it was fantastic-also loved the crust, which can be hard to get right! A small pizza was perfect to split between 2 people. Other people in our party got the chicken Alfredo pizza and the supreme pizza and also enjoyed them. We also got their strawberry feta salad and it was delicious. The service was a little slow (they were pretty busy at 6 PM on a Friday!) but they were attentive and so nice! It's pretty small in there with a big bar for their beers on tap, so be prepared to wait a little, sit at the bar or you can do take out! read more

We tried a few different items on the menu today. We came during lunch and they had a 2 slice of pizza and drink special. They had a few different types of pizzas ready if you're in a rush for lunch. We had also ordered a pitcher of beer and there were several different types of beer on tap. The wings were delicious! So much flavor and crispy juicy Korean bbq wings. We split the calzone and it had ricotta, marinara and mozzarella cheese. You can add extra toppings for $2 each. The calzone had a char to it and it tasted so good. Formerly ZPizza, this Oro Valley restaurant is convenient and serves great pizza. They even have slices on offer if you don't need a whole pie. Flavors were great. Lots of variety. We did take out but service was cheerful and efficient at the pick up counter. With their new branding to include PINTS it does look like they have a lot of beers on tap so worth a visit to sit down and eat if beer is your thing. The interior looked clean and well kept. Nothing fancy, just a local place to grab a pizza and a brewski. read more

Well I don't know what happened and maybe it's just a fluke but this time our visit could have been a lot better. Granted they were busy, however we sat down and it was almost 10 minutes before anyone came to our table. Others who came in after us got served before us so that's not good. The food was just as good as the last time. Our "waitress" only came to our table twice until it was time to pay, another employee brought us our food. Our food came out after others who ordered after us. One good thing is the person in charge came over to talk to us and we told him our concerns which was much appreciated. We've been here multiple times over the last few months, all on different days & times. The consistency and quality has not once wavered. We absolutely LOVE this place! It is our new go to spot for a quick dinner out or fun happy hour. Perfect for families or date night. Everything we've tried has been great so far. This was an opportunity for OV Pizza to impress us. Unfortunately, they did not. My friend and I went for the "Galentines" dinner they were advertising. Upon arrival, the employee at the entrance seemed unfamiliar with the promotion, but told us to have a seat and someone would help us. We did - at the bar - and waited and waited. When the server finally appeared, we told her what we were there for and her response was, "I've only been here three days, so let me find out what what this "Galentines" is about. It just got worse from there. We were supposed to each get a 1/2 bottle of wine. She screwed up and brought us each a glass of boxed wine. Upon us telling her of her mistake, she had to go ask and responded with "you can either keep these and get another glass, or I'll take them and get you the 1/2 bottles". In my experience, you own the mistake and give it to the customer for free, then present them with what they were supposed to have received. Things continued to digress. What a shame. Very many missed opportunities. I do not hold a new server responsible. I hold the ownership and management responsible. DO BETTER! I won't be back any time soon. read more

The fries were like broken fries or quarter cuts of an actual french fry.. Nothing garlicky or even tasty about this experience. Prices on point just expect the least amount of flavor. Service great. Nice atmosphere! Every single person made sure we had everything we needed. #supportlocal Edit. There was not an actual problem with food. Nothing needs to be fixed. Great Pizza! They use all fresh ingredients- no canned stuff for OV Pizzas! They do not skimp when they put ingredients on their pizza, which is quite different than the some of other pizza places around town. Staff are friendly and considerate, so be sure to leave a tip. read more

I had high hopes for this place but after my first bite everything went bad. The service was ok for a pizza joint bit the sauce.....the sauce had zero flavor....the magerhetta pizza had basil leaves that were cut into ribbons? Like how costly is fresh basil? If i owned this place I would get rid of the bar and get my sauce to taste good. We've eaten OV pizza multiple times, both dine-in and takeout. We have had really friendly service each time. They seem to use fresh, tasty ingredients and have a really good crust that has the right balance of crunchy and chewy. They do a good job with takeout as well; online ordering is easy and on pickup they always ask if we want peppers and cheese. The two large, two topping deal for $35 is pretty hard to beat. They don't have all the exotic toppings that seem popular these days, but do offer a variety of crusts and sauces. I don't really go for pine nuts on pizza anyway. read more

There's a lot to love here! Gluten free options, vegan options, build you own pizza, fresh salads, loads of beer, etc. Our pizzas and salads were good, a solid three stars. I'd eat here again, but I wouldn't drive out of my way for it. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was laid back and family friendly. Next time I'd prefer to eat at the restaurant and enjoy everything right out of the pizza oven. Take out advisory: I'd advise against getting avocados on your pizza if you're ordering take out. All of avocado on the pizza was brown and gross appearing because of the heat and waiting on us. It was NOT zpizzas fault, but just a cautionary tale if you're a visual eater. read more
