The oil is either too high or too old.. the chicken comes out dark brown ( bordering on burnt taste but not there yet) . Glass of OJ was $6.00 full meal for breakfast $50+... the cold foam coffee ... Just no. Love the decor. Seems busy with regulars & food drivers picking up... I can't say I would try breakfast again. This is my 3rd time with the dark brown fried chicken. Our second visit. I'm starting to think I'm cursed when I goto restaurants lately. My wife's food is always perfect. I ordered the omelette today cause the pictures on yelp looked so good. Mine was over cooked. I was so hungry I just ate it. What scares me about people in the food industry is that so many people don't care. You can clearly see it's over cooked, but the cook put it on a plate to be served to me after over cooking it and our server had to notice it and didn't say or do anything either. And when I got my over cooked omelette it was room temperature after sitting under the warmer for a little while . Plates weren't even hot when it was served to me. My friends and I were initially going to go to Matt's Big Breakfast or Hatch Kitchen last Sunday morning, but the wait times were too long so we decided to try this place for the first time. Service was great. Our waitress was quick and attentive. Each person in our party ordered a different dish, and sadly it was all just - okay. Additionally, it didn't really go down well for any of us, as we all had to take extended bathroom breaks. Haha So overall, I don't think I'll be coming here again. Came to this location on a Saturday during brunch. Fairly busy but was still sat down for a table outside on the patio within a few minutes. Servers & staff were nice. The place itself was clean. The food on the other hand was just lacking in flavor and not seasoned at all. We ordered the loco moco, a side of corn beef hash, and the biscuits and gravy, & a fresh glass of OJ. The juice was the best thing by far. Food was also served a bit colder than I would like. I say pass on this location and try one of the other locations in the valley. read more

I'm gluten free and there's like 3 choices; one not clearly marked as order without the gravy which is a waiting game for someone to order and get sick. Truly anything for the most can be altered to leave off toast or gravy and be gluten free but for some reason they have the OG Wolfpack marked differently. Went to this location on 05/27. Immediately got seated when we came in at 9:40. Our waiter was nice and communicative with us which was nice. Unfortunately after receiving our drinks and order taken we waited almost 40 minutes for food to come out. Our food was nice portions and very good. Our food was the carne asada chimichurri burrito & protein bowl. After finishing eating we sat around and waited for our server to come back with our receipt. There was 1 other table waiting for the same thing and 1 table next to us waiting for a server to take their drink order. All 3 tables sat and waited for some time. We all noticed our waitress and waiters in a group talking and laughing with each other not paying any attention to the waiting customers. The table that was waiting for their drink order ended up getting fed up and left. Our waiter finally came over with the check and apologized for the inconvenience as he noticed that there was some frustration coming from us. Both tables left at the same time both feeling frustrated. I wanna point out that the restaurant had some customers but not many at all. There was not wait list and everyone that came in got sat immediately. I went to this restaurant before going to work which might not be a good idea but I believe having an hour to sit & eat is plenty of time. I ended up being about 20 minutes late because I left the restaurant later than I would've liked too. Which is not their fault but 1 hour and not a busy restaurant should've been plenty of time. I'm not sure if I would ever return back to this restaurant or recommend going here. read more

Stopped by mid-morning during the week and Over Easy was pretty busy, but the wait for a party of two was just under 20 minutes. After being seated, we were promptly greeted by our server who also took our drink orders right away. With quite a few options to choose from, I finally decided on the Southwest omelette with tater tots and their freshly baked sourdough toast. My three egg omelette was packed with chicken, sliced avocado, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and pico de gallo. Everything tasted fresh and made to order. Chicken was juicy and tender, but could have used more seasoning. I also appreciated my omelette wasn't drawning in the ranchero sauce, which I enjoyed. Tater tots were pretty standard - crispy upon bit and soft on the inside. Sourdough bread was good, especially with strawberry jam spread on it. Service was good and pretty spot on. Ample parking available in the lot. Since they don't take reservations, I highly recommend you come early. read more

Had two very good visits here on a recent trip to AZ. The staff is friendly and efficient, the food is well prepared, and they have a nice combination of traditional breakfast fare along with some items with a slight twist. Also, while I didn't have one, they have a nice selection of breakfast cocktails and coffees. The first trip I had a ham steak with eggs and red eye gravy, and crispy hash browns. The ham steak was excellent and the gravy was tasty. The eggs were cooked as ordered and over medium. The hash browns were crispy but only ok, not as flavorful as I had hoped. We were at Over Easy this past weekend. There was a wait, but it's expected on a weekend and it's one of the best breakfast spots in the area. We put our name on the list and we could wait in our car until we got texted that our table was ready. The staff is very accommodating to customers. Our food was great as usual. We got the waffle sausage dogs, which is now my favorite go-to. The batter tastes just like a waffle and is perfectly cooked around the sausage links. I could only eat 2 of the three. Thanks to having a hubby to finish it off. The maple syrup is nice to have with it. I did order a separate order of sweet potato tots that were a nice touch with this meal. I also enjoyed a glass of freshly squeezed OJ. It's not cheap, around $6, but well worth not squeezing my own oranges at home. Lol! My hubby got the eggs Benedict. This is a go-to breakfast meal for him and this has been the place in Surprise to find it cooked properly! The eggs are perfect and just the right amount of hollandaise sauce. They give you a nice size portion of ham too. He went with the classic hash browns and they were wonderful with this meal. We highly recommend Over Easy. Food is pretty good and service was good. Wait was longer than told by about 10-15 min. Anyway. I had the eggs Benedict and potatoes Obrian. The dish looked really good. And for the most part it was. That thick slice of ham. Yes! But there was something off about it. It was good but had a sort of weird taste. The hollandaise? Maybe. Or the English muffin itself? Neither my friend nor myself could tell what it was. The potatoes were really good. Not over cooked. Sort of light and not oily like so many places. So. Yeah. They were great! Next time though, I won't get this dish. We also had the avocado toast which seemed good. I didn't get to try it lol. Bacon side? Perfect. The lemon ricotta pancake was really good! Fresh squeezed oj. Tasty. Coffee? Yes! This is a solid 4 star restaurant. But breakfast for 2 at roughly $74 dollars? And that's basically my only issue. Will I go back? Yes.
