Our first visit to this restaurant this morning and it was great!! Server was very attentive and sweet. I had the banana nut french toast and it was SOOOOO good. Hubby had the green chili omelette and said it was also delicious. It's a little pricey ......... 50 bucks for two breakfasts with the tip .......... coffee was over $3.00 each. Over Easy has a vibrant atmosphere, and weekend brunch definitely draws a crowd. I'd recommend using the waitlist feature to avoid long wait times. Unfortunately, the service during this visit was lacking. We waited quite awhile before anyone came to our table. The food was decent but nothing spectacular, and the mimosa flight was flat, which was disappointing. Came in about an hour before close and we were seated and got our order quickly. We had a very sweet waitress. The regular hot coffee was much better than their iced lattes. We've been visiting Over Easy since they first opened a few years back. Their menu has grown and developed over the years, but I almost always land on the southwest omelet which is topped with their glorious ranchero sauce. With each visit, we are delighted by the fun ambiance and the efficient, but friendly, service we receive. This is one of our favorite go to spots for breakfast / brunch fair. It is in a prime location is always packed so a reservation ahead of time is strongly recommended to save a long wait outside. But it is well worth the wait! The place is very clean and modern with a classy & trendy vibe. It is small but also has outdoor seating to accommodate as many guests as possible. The staff is always friendly especially the bartenders. We have tried several dishes such as their chilaquiles, fried chicken and waffles, yummy fully loaded omelettes & avocado toast. I really like their cocktail menu offerings but my favorite hands down is the Paloma which is refreshing and not too stiff of a drink but you can catch a nice buzz with just a couple of them. Lola had our table running like a well-oiled waffle iron. It 's bustling no doubt because of the heads up given by the popular tv show Diners,Drive-Ins, and Dives. While the lemon ricotta pancakes with berries tempted me, I make those at home and am in the habit of ordering what is too time consuming or costly when I eat out. The coffee is stellar and there are choices like the Lavender Lift an iced espresso, vanilla, lavender simple syrup . Don't get me started .... The mimosa flights.....sigh. But I digress. I ordered the Banana Nut French Toast, buttery slices of battered brioche, griddled with pecans, banana and caramel drizzle (next time... and there will be a next time.... I will ask for extra caramel sauce). It was a party in the mouth. My friend ordered the Monte Crisco, always a challenge at restaurants to be superbl. I found it to be a tad dry. This is best to describe our first experience at OverEasy today :) We came in today to have a little anniversary breakfast to try out a new place near by and immediately started off the the experience great with an option to join the waitlist from the website on our drive down! The host sat us right when we got in and Dallas greeted us with a great smile and personality! He recommended some things from the start and went over a few cool things about OverEasy, especially when I shared that I love Aaron May and that was a big reason why we came in today lol. Honestly, his service made the overall experience memorable for us and we hope to have him as a server in the future! We shared the golden dog which was tasty! Literally the best breakfast sausage I have ever had. For our meals my hubs got the OG Wolfpack with sauce, and smothered in the gravy and I got the 2 egg breakfast. Everything was seasoned well, packed with flavor, and most importantly eggs over medium cooked PERFECTLY. The country gravy I will say was so well balanced from the texture to taste! I truly can't wait to go back and try something new, as we decided to make this a normal spot more often for breakfast! Went to this location on 05/27. Immediately got seated when we came in at 9:40. Our waiter was nice and communicative with us which was nice. Unfortunately after receiving our drinks and order taken we waited almost 40 minutes for food to come out. Our food was nice portions and very good. Our food was the carne asada chimichurri burrito & protein bowl. After finishing eating we sat around and waited for our server to come back with our receipt. There was 1 other table waiting for the same thing and 1 table next to us waiting for a server to take their drink order. All 3 tables sat and waited for some time. We all noticed our waitress and waiters in a group talking and laughing with each other not paying any attention to the waiting customers. The table that was waiting for their drink order ended up getting fed up and left. Our waiter finally came over with the check and apologized for the inconvenience as he noticed that there was some frustration coming from us. Both tables left at the same time both feeling frustrated. I wanna point out that the restaurant had some customers but not many at all. There was not wait list and everyone that came in got sat immediately. I went to this restaurant before going to work which might not be a good idea but I believe having an hour to sit & eat is plenty of time. I ended up being about 20 minutes late because I left the restaurant later than I would've liked too. Which is not their fault but 1 hour and not a busy restaurant should've been plenty of time. I'm not sure if I would ever return back to this restaurant or recommend going here. read more

I ordered the steak & eggs. Medium rare steak. Over medium eggs. I didn't recall seeing anything on the menu about a chimichurri sauce but it came with one. I had to send it back because I can't eat the chimichurri sauce. The steak came back and was honestly just way over done. It was not good at all. The eggs were underwhelming. My stomach was oh so unhappy with me for the steak & eggs. Not a great experience food wise. Service was good. Reasonable seating. Good music.
