Food was good but service was not. A sports bar should be able to get a game. We dropped in to watch a game and asked bartender to tune in a college game. No one seemed to know what was going on and bartender said she would ask the manager. We asked 5-6 times with same response and never got an answer. It's been open for less than a month now and this is my 5th time here. There's lots of TV's and the staff is very friendly. I like the strawberry mule and they have a lot of beers on tap. I really love the rooftop patio! As for food, everything has been pretty good. I haven't had anything bad. I would definitely come back here again. read more

Talk about a great happy hour spot!! We love coming here for the $3 beer can special, $6 pretzels and $6 wings. Make sure you ask what's on special since they rotate the beer cans frequently. This visit we grabbed the draft of the day special (voodoo ranger ipa) which is $4. You won't find a better deal on the pretzels, period! They're always well done and the queso is amazing! We always ask for double queso since the mustard sauce is a little weird. As for the wings, our favorite sauces are buffalo and gochujang! The sports restaurant also has a cool rooftop area which is perfect to hang out with your dog and friends while watching the game. The downsides I'd say are the small tvs and a bit excessive pricing on the food menu (not happy hour). A really simple burger and fries costs $17 before tax, yikes! Overall it's a fun place to hang out and also take advantage of the surrounding area of the Village. We recommend checking this place out! read more

Our server Josh (Ravi) was phenomenal. He must be a comedian on the side. He kept us on our toes in the BEST way. He was a super thoughtful (emotional gals require a little extra attention). Really starting to seem like the only win The Village has had is Meridian. Similar to Roundhouse, Over Under is overpriced for underwhelming food and a bad "sports bar" experience. As their response to another bad review highlights, they don't understand that 40+ TVs means nothing if you have to crank your neck and strain your eyes to enjoy sports. In sum, save your money, drink cheaper drinks, and watch sports on a bigger tv at home. Sad waste of what seems like a large investment for Village owners. read more

The ambiance is really nice, for a first tume visit...the MAJOR problem that I had was my server Paige A. She never did great us nor ask us about our drink of choice. It took a whole other server to assist us. Paige A. Stayed at 2 tables and walked by us every time without asking us if we needed anything or even a smile. This event took place during the Texas vs Oklahoma Game; we had to leave to go to another venue Downtown Dallas to see the 2nd half. If you want to be a go to sports bar, you need bigger screens and need them placed so that you never have to crane your neck to catch the action. WARNING: READ BEFORE COMING. My family and I went to eat/drink here and the bartender was unbelievably rude. When I told her I had a large order she glared at me. I could hardly get a sentence out without her mocking me, hurrying me, or interrupting me. She said "tell me what you want!" and was so snappy with me I gave her the list on my phone to which she rolled her eyes to. When she saw ribs on the menu she said "we're out!" and then fumed when I ordered something else. She asked me where my card is and I couldn't hear her and asked her to repeat and she shouted "I NEED A CARD TO OPEN THE TAB!". Everyone around me in the bar was staring at this point. When I told her I wanted a particular beer she said we are out and I was looking at the beer and she shouted "tell me what you want so I can pour your beer!". When I asked her for waters twice she told me to get them in the back and I told her twice they are out and she glared and walked away. When she brought our food out she set it all at the end of the table and said "the rest isn't ready" and walked away and we didn't see her the rest of the night. My sister works in the service industry and said that is the rudest encounter she has experienced. Went there to watch some basketball games in the rooftop outdoor area. Great setup but the service is terrible. We had to bus our own table. Food is overpriced and long lines to get a drink at the bar. Way to much competition in the Sports Bar category in Dallas to be dealing with this place. If you decide to visit this overrated place, be extremely patient because the waiting is flat out ridiculous! read more

Tenders and Mac and cheese were pretty good actually. Cool place and would for sure come back! For a "bar option" I wish there was more normal options on the menu though. Not really a place I'm going to order their $26 beer can chicken, you know!? It's a new place so I'm sure they're figuring it out. I would recommend a better burger option (kinda basic rn) and a full wing order option. Alcohol is priced pretty good IMO. Definitely would come back for a app and drink kinda place. read more

They tried to host a Mardi Gras party for the Village. I don't know why they decided on the small patio outside their restaurant when there was a perfect lawn ideal for a party of this size. Regardless of the disorganized party, the food was not up to the standard for the price. Maybe it was the restaurant not having enough staff which resulted in cold food but 3 beers, a po' boy, and a plate of rice and beans was not worth $60. read more

Food - overall the starters/entrees our group received were very good. The hits were the burgers and the ahi tuna nachos. The misses were the fish and chips (fries were perfect but both fish orders were over-cooked and lacked spices). We would highly suggest either going to a beer batter to compliment your beer selections or Panko crumbs if you really want it to be bread crumb. Either way keep an eye on cook time because you ruined 6 good pieces of fish. Everyone liked the variety of Mac & Cheese sides we got. Mine wasn't hot when I got my order but should be great as a leftover. We're here for the week at the Drey and will return for convenience meals. I am so impressed with this place. The BEST atmosphere. It has an outdoor patio (rooftop) overlooking the village & a little league baseball field, tons of tvs for sports games, great drink selection. The decor is so well done! I came here with my fiancé. Saw lots of families, groups of friends & a bachelorette party (aka a diverse, fun crowd). Great service. Couldn't recommend this place more. We'll be returning often! read more

I've visiting this spot on the upper deck about 4 times now. Each time the service has not been very good. Bar area is always full and several people stand waiting for service. We've never had a server. On 3/27 we had to bus our own table, we waited 5 minutes and gave up. Food delivery is pretty fast, but not the clearing of anything that has been used. Good place to watch a football game! Multiple TVs allow you to watch a few games at once. Lots of beers on draft. I ordered the Cuban sandwhich, which was great. The fries may have been the star of the show though! The roof was really cool looking, however it was still a tad too hot for us to sit out there.
