I hang up after an hour and would have to call back on another day. When we called to inform them that I would not be using their service anymore but going to another company it took over 50 minutes to do so. They didn't ask why we were changing or how they could keep our business. My husband and I both felt they didn't care. I have been trying for almost a year to become more mobile with my oxygen. Preferred gave with bulky tanks in a dolly with wheels. Can I just say that makes it really hard to go anywhere? Not to mention, it only lasts about 3 hours. They would not get me a more mobile oxygen concentrator. I, therefore, had to go to another company to get a mobile oxygen concentrator. It is a rechargeable one and comes with a charger for home and car use. I must say, however, that all the employees that came to my home were kind, cordial, and knowledgeable. They too could not understand why I could not get a mobile oxygen concentrator. I was informed that they are often yelled at because the office is so terrible at returning phone calls or even answering the phone. It is because of these employees that I left two stars. They deserve more but the company does not. Let's just say I am breathing easier since getting a new company.

Senior Helpers sent someone at 8pm that same Tuesday evening to stay until 8am the next morning. The communication was stellar, the on site log they kept clear and concise, everyone I met was helpful, kind, caring and thoughtful. The fact that Senior Helpers could create a schedule that worked so well with almost no notice is impressive. I would use this service again and highly recommend the business and their staff to anyone needing kindness and assistance. So why do I consider myself lucky? So glad you asked! Because I am one very satisfied customer. I had the opportunity to use their services again and I am still very satisfied. It is a bit daunting to have strangers come into your home when you are feeling a bit vulnerable anyway. On both occasions, all the health care providers were friendly, competent and completely professional. I really liked that the same person comes each time and they really take the time to talk and listen and work with their clients. They all treated me like an intelligent, competent adult. Both PT's pushed me to challenge myself to increase my mobility and independence, while honoring my wussyness. Both Nurses provided me with the information I needed to make informed decisions about my health and guided me in what I needed to do help with my healing. The first time I had some questions about the billing I had received from them. The people in the business office answered all my questions completely and helped make clear what was co-pay and what was part of my deductible. I really like that the company has a 24 hour help line if I have any questions or concerns between visits. This was extended to me both times after I had been discharged from direct services. So, while I hope I never have need of their services, if I do, and if I have a choice, I would most definitely use them again.

Kait set up an appointment with Bob, the owner, to meet with us to discuss our needs and concerns and let us know he would get back to us after working with the scheduler, Heather, to let us know if they could staff the hours that we needed. Bob also reviewed the costs and the company's expectations of us as clients. I have read some of the complaints and feel they are unfounded. Businesses can't survive if they don't protect themselves. Comfort Keepers works very hard to assign and schedule caregivers that can meet the needs of each patient and they deserve respect if and when service needs to be cancelled. I personally worked with each caregiver to make sure they were comfortable with my mother-in-law and that my mother-in-law accepted them in her home. Each and every one of the care givers were well trained, kind, and respectful. The situation was challenging, and they were all wonderful! I have nothing but respect for this company and the people they hire. The care givers told me that they truly love working for Comfort Keepers because they offer excellent training, and they are treated well. Our family has since contracted with Comfort Keepers for another family member.

Everybody at Amy's Eden has welcomed us and treated us like family, very patient with our emotional state and most of all our mothers, within 2 days her blood pressure was extremely lower, she is at ease, she looks great, stress level much lower, no long scared for she is never alone, She has been there 3 months and no trips to the hospital that is amazing right there, she's even putting their address as hers on her outgoing mail, that might not seem like a big deal but it is for anybody who has done this before as we have with grandparents. Don't get me wrong it's been extremely taxing and difficult for her but she's came to accept this life transition and she's stronger and healthier then she has been in a long long time and so very grateful. She is thriving there and the goal is to get her into a independent facility or semi assistant living place but It looks like she's gonna be happy right where she is. She's letting somebody take care of her it's a beautiful thing to watch considering before her whole day consisted of a check sheet with just a few goals... getting out of bed, getting showered, getting to the kitchen to eat, to couch, not falling, and not forgetting to take her meds that's about all she could accomplish in a day and on a good day a load of laundry. She was a prisoner in her own home and so was I and her boyfriend..for I was running two households and taking care of her too. Now she has a much better quality of life and she's so relieved not having to rely on me and her boyfriend for everything, as a mother her guilt in that was huge. I hope this helps the family of somebody that's transitioning or the party that needs to transition..for us we had to change our way of thinking, it's all about state of mind, acceptance and a willingness to let go. I have a new mojo it goes like this ...I can't He can I think I will let Him. Thank you Amy's Eden's Senior Care you all literally saved my mom's live.

It has taken me over a year to be able to write this review…read more During our interview process Deena of Amy's Eden assured our family over & over that this was the place for dad and that the staff was extremely well trained and he would be very well cared for. The home was bright, airy and very clean. My dad lived there for 10 days. On the 10th day he had to be transported to the hospital where he died 4 days later. In his time at Amy's Eden he was overdosed twice. Once due to hospice that we were told we had to use, not by Amy's Eden. Once because the Any's Eden caregiver did not know how to read or fill out the medication log. My step-mom, sister and myself spent the first 7 days at Amy's to help make sure dad was settled and this was the right place for him. In those 7 days we essentially did the job of the caregiver day and night while trying to work with a new hospice regarding medications. On his last Friday a caregiver said it was time to let them do their job and care for him. For $20,000 we sure thought so. We checked in via phone on Sat and Sun and were assured all was well. They claimed he was taking his medications, eating and overall settling in. To say we were beyond thrilled is an understatment. During our visit on Monday we had to immediately call in the hospice nurse who had us transport to the hospital. He was covered in bruises, there was a hole in the wall and they were feeding him food while he was almost completely incoherent. My dad died of aspiration pneumonia complicated by COVID 4 days later. More than one staff member was positive for COVID while being at the house, with no mask, interacting with other staff and the 2 residents. 10 days for $20,000 and no consequences for their actions. Amy's Eden really knows what to say to take advantage of families during a most vulnerable time. If you are looking for a very expensive and quick end to your loved one's life Amy's Eden is the place for you.

I am beyond upset and honestly appalled by what happened with Infinity Hospice…read more The nurses who came out were compassionate and professional--but the care coordinator completely failed us, and the consequences have been devastating. I originally reached out because we believed my husband was coming home to pass. Then everything changed--he had surgery, and it saved his life. I immediately informed the Infinity representative that he would now be discharged home with Home Health through the hospital. He told me, verbatim, "We do the same care as home health. We actually compete with the insurance companies and hospitals," and went on to assure me that my husband would actually receive more attentive care through their services. In that moment, it sounded like the best possible option. It was not. Because of that guidance, my husband was discharged on a Friday night under hospice care--completely inappropriate for his condition. When the nurses arrived, they began discussing comfort measures and medications to keep him "comfortable," and that's when it hit me something was very wrong. Having cared for my own parents at end of life, I knew this was not what he needed. I was then told I had been "misinformed." What followed was nothing short of a nightmare. For the entire weekend, we had: No support for his newly placed GI tube No instructions on how to avoid complications with the PEG or to even care for the point of insertion No chance of even getting an order for the formula needed to for nutritional needs (and remember he came home a day after surgery). Ensure was not going to cut it No medical guidance since the hospital thought he was going home on hospice I had to resort to searching online just to figure out how to properly clean the tube and discovered no peroxide or alcohol for cleaning. The hospital could not intervene because hospice had already taken over. I reached the Infinity representative the following day (he did not even bother to call me since the incident discovery), hen finally called back late in the afternoon and apologized for the "miscommunication" and claimed he was trying to fix the discharge orders. Then he disappeared. No follow-up. No accountability. Nothing. I had to text him, once again, to express my disappointment. He sent a text apologizing. (thanks) Because of this, we had no choice but to take my husband back to the ER just to get him re-admitted--so he could be discharged properly with the care he should have had all along. The damage is done. My husband is now significantly weaker. What should have been a recovery period turned into unnecessary suffering, confusion, and decline. I did everything I could in the meantime--ensuring he had nutrition as best as possible--but it was not enough without proper nutrition from the formula mix he would have had (prescription - not over the county). And the most heartbreaking part? We may now actually need hospice...because of what this "miscommunication" caused. This was not a small mistake. This was a catastrophic failure in guidance and responsibility. The emotional toll, physical decline, and chaos this created for our family is beyond words. Completely unacceptable.

Our family never visits my mom, so I was hoping hospice could provide that. The social worker did recommend grief counseling, after I asked, but I am still seeking more for my mom. Like I said, I will update once I experience more. So far, some questions have been answered and problems solved. Kim, the nurse, has been a big help and information and supplies needed.
