The service was phenomenal. We came for the bottomless brunch. We are allotted 2 hours to enjoy the starter bar, open kitchen, and dessert bar. And The had 3 main courses picked out for us to enjoy as well. The ambiance was very upscale but causal. Everyone was so friendly and attentive.

2/5 dishes were delicious. Recommend the monk fish and mushroom risotto balls for an appetizer. Both burgers and the kids pasta were somewhat average. The burgers were over cooked and dry The pasta was bland and pasta over cooked. Probably not worth mentioning if this the burgers weren't $23 buck each. I will say the service and establishment were exemplary. Best customer service we have received in London to date.

Oxbo Bankside is the stunning restauraunt inside of the Hilton London Bankside in Southwark, London. It follows the same modern and wood themes of the hotel and this is also where the hotel breakfast is served, conveniently it is served until 11 am throughout the week, as someone who likes a late breakfast which is sadly becoming rare in the hotel industry, I was pleased with this. The breakfast area was stunning, with a satisfactory selection on the buffet, one thing I did like was the huge open kitchen to watch the chefs cook which again is sadly rare at London hotels, if there was anything you didn't want on the buffet, the chefs would be glad to help you, which is how I ordered extras including a ham and cheese omelette. The chefs seemed friendly and willing to help and I did enjoy the potatoes, scrambled eggs and my omelette, the latter was a touch bland but still remained decent quality. The service did slightly flaw throughout the rest of the service as staff weren't proactive in explaining how the buffet works, offering any extras including hot beverages and there wasn't even anyone ready to get me seated and book me in, upon arrival at Oxbo. Most of my breakfast was good quality, the main exception was perhaps the gluten-free bread which was more of a multi-seeded roll which was disgusting, although I have touched upon this in my main hotel review as it is the only bread served in the hotel for gluten-free guests anyway. The price of breakfast is a tad overpriced at £25, but based on location and it is a "five-star hotel" this is quite reasonable and I have paid the same price before at The Waldorf Hilton and I know the London Hilton on Park Lane charges even more, at £30 per person. I managed to get breakfast at the much more reasonable rate of £15 in with my room rate. The decor its-self is truly note-worthy, modern with animal heads cleverly made out of newspaper, I just wish I'd have dined here further during my stay at London Hilton Bankside and OXBO has done enough to surely warrant a four-star rating and it needs to focus on keeping prices reasonable and the service at breakfast from the waiting staff.

This represents about 60% of what was available on the starters buffet in terms of choice - and yes, I went back for jumbo king prawns!

Sunday brunch visit before visiting Tate Modern which is a 2 min stroll away. OXBO restaurant is set inside Bankside Hilton - very large and tables well spaced apart with live music that isn't ridiculously loud. I can't see what's not to like...you'll see Ive posted quite a few pics with commentary from our visit here. They have two options: £28 per head for a (large!) glass of prosecco, unlimited starters, unlimited desserts and 1 mains or £40 per head for unlimited prosecco (over a 2hr period), unlimited starters, unlimited desserts and 1 mains. Wait staff extremely helpful and pleasant, full table service even though most of the offering is buffet based. Buffet stations always well stocked with staff standing nearby to monitor. Table of 8 across from us clearly opted for unlimited Prosecco and restaurant didn't scrimp in any way. Even our single glasses were HUGE! Could see this being a really brilliant option for groups of 4 or more but even with just the two of us dining, we felt we got more than our money's worth in terms of quantity AND quality. Of note: The chocolate salted caramel tarts melted in our mouths and the roast beef was thick, juicy and tender.

This is a newly opened restaurant in the Hilton Bankside and I'd advise you to get along as soon as you can. They were running a soft launch so they meal was only being charged at 50% which seemed like too good an opportunity to turn down however I will definitely be back even at full price. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with a large open kitchen so you can see exactly what is going on in there. The evening started with a free glass of prosecco before we sat down and had a look at the menus. If nothing on here takes your fancy then the specials board displays a pretty big selection of various sizes of different cuts of meats. This was my kind of book! After deciding on a lobster starter, 950g porterhouse and then a couple of desserts we sat back to wait. Our waiter arrived and asked what we were having and then proceeded to recommend a few different wines for us, all at the lower end of the scale which was surprising. Even more surprising was the fact that he then insisted that we try them all before deciding. We plumped for a Pinot Noir at £30 which was delicious. When our starter arrived it looked a little bit more style than substance and sadly wasn't as full of flavour as I'd hoped but was still ok. This was to be the only disappointment of the night. When the main arrived it was a big check of meaty goodness cooked to perfection. This was served with fries and a choice of sauces. We went for red wine and the bechamel and both were very good. A side of winter cabbage, bacon and onions was a great accompaniment. The deserts we chose came after we requested a 15 minute wait just to allow everything to settle and I'm glad we did. The berry creme brulee was very good and the cheesecake was great. If they could just change the base to be less chocolately I think it would be the best one around. All through the meal the waiters were chatty and very attentive and the icing on the cake was as our waiter was pouring the last of the wine there was a definite imbalance between the two of them. He apologised and then reappeared with the restaurants bottle of the same wine to top up the second glass free of charge. I hope that they will be able to maintain the high standards as the food was great and the service was some of the best I've received

Had my first Sunday Roast in the U.K. here and I was by no means disappointed. Gorgeous unlimited starters and desserts, with wonderful cuts of locally sourced roast meats, I found myself absorbed in the gaiety of it all. Would certainly recommend Oxbo bankside, especially their dessert selection -- it was honestly mind-blowing.

The Bill Marrow was also good. It was very rich. There were two kinds of Sunday roast a sirloin and a rump. Three of us had the rump roast dinner and three had the sirloin roast dinner. It was hard to tell the difference. All the dinners came with roasted potatoes greens and of course, Yorkshire pudding. It was all delicious. I have to say my favorite part is always the Yorkshire pudding. I also have a green salad, which is basically just lettuce with a light dressing. It was very fresh. We were too full for dessert. The service was excellent. We were seated right away and given water. In the UK, you can order sparkling, still or tap. Sparkling and still come with a charge. Tap is usually free. Our server was attentive without hovering. It's a good idea to make reservations at Hawksmoor especially for the Sunday roast. We got there at three by the time we left around 4:30 some of the roasts were already sold out. Just a note: Sunday roost is usually a late lunch not a dinner. It's good to go between two and four especially if you don't have a reservation.

This is the oldest restaurant in London since 1798! I love the old decor and red. Everyone here is dressed up in high heels and lots of the men were in suits. Up first, I had a £18 Espresso Martini! Wow, some of the strongest espresso tasting Martini of all time. If you like thay strong taste you'll love this espresso martini. Next, £8.95 Heritage tomato salad, basil, pickled red onion & toasted pine nuts. Super solid. For the entree we split the £53.50 per person Roast rib of beef for two. The superstar item was for sure the house made horseradish sauce. I could have eaten the sauce all night. We liked the meat too. It came out a perfect medium for us. Chicken & Mushroom: A nice variation from beef, but by no means lesser. With it's large chunks and umami gravy, this was like a quick hit fix for when craving a proper chicken pot pie. Mash & Gravy: The mash was smooth and buttery. The gravy was more than plentiful. Kinda lives under the shadow of the delicious pies though. Sticky Toffee Pudding: Good, but not great. The toffee sauce felt a bit too thick and wasn't as warmed as I like it. The sponge cake was alright, but kinda dry, like they just plopped into the toffee sauce puddle.
