This is the biggest Barnes and Noble I've ever been to. I love how spacious it is inside the top floor is a little more crowded but it's mostly the kids and toy area. The bottom floor has all the good books. I came in looking for Penpal a friend recommended this book and someone was able to help me find it and bought it. They do have a Starbucks inside to the right when you walk in which was wonderful. I definitely want to go back grab and drink and read. :) read more

This B&N store is huge! I've never been to one that has 2 levels with escalators. I would have given it 5 stars if it had more seating throughout the store. All I saw was a tiny area near the Starbucks café. I entered through the back near Red Robin. It was great browsing through the DVD, CD, and vinyl collections. I think I spent most of my time in that section. I was curious to see what was on the second floor. They had lots of children's books and the biggest collection of cookbooks that I've seen in one place. They have huge sections of magazines, greeting cards, and gifts as well. I'd go back just for the cookbooks and DVDs. The café had many baked goods that looked wonderful. More than any other Starbucks that I've been to in the past. They had this peanut butter cup cookie that I wanted to purchase, but the line was long and it was time to meet up with my friends for lunch. However, it was great to see a B&N thriving. Sometimes it's just nice to physically thumb through a book before buying it versus online browsing. This bookstore was a cool find. I know it has been a part of the Shops at Wiregrass for a very long time, but it felt newish to me. I guess they are keeping it up very well. They just need to add more seating for those who want to read a few pages before making a purchase. read more

Barnes and Noble is the last bastion of mainstream bookstores in the USA. This one is attached to the Wiregrass outdoor mall in Wesley chapel. Parking is ample due to this. There are regular spots and on the road (though are metered) This store is 2 levels unlike most others. The cafe and seating are downstairs along with some books and the cashiers. Children's books/toys, graphic novels are on the second floor. The store is bright and clean throughout. There are 2 escalators that are centrally located. Employees are friendly and helpful. In the post -COVID world, eating in is a little cumbersome. I ordered a cheesecake slice and it was all boxed and sealed in a plastic container and then stuffed with napkins in a super big paper bag. I feel bad for the waste. NOTE: Despite serving Starbucks products, you CANNOT use a Starbucks gift card there! Another post-COVID annoyance is that they have removed 90 % of the chairs/couches there and outside of the cafe area, there is limited seating , especially upstairs. Still, I'm glad they're still around. read more

I am heading out soon for a road trip and needed a new book. I love shopping for books where I can touch them and see if I will enjoy them as I like to look for new authors to try. When entering Barnes and Noble, there are signs to where masks and hand sanitizer available. As you walk around the store, there are table for you to place the items you touch that you do not wish to purchase and signs reminding customers to social distance 6 feet. I love the fantasy section as I have always been obsessed for witches, wolves, and vampires. Today, I grabbed the Patrica Briggs Alpha and Omega series on werewolves. I usually read Paula Brackston series on witches. Briggs books sounded interesting and Barnes and Noble had a nice selection of her different series she has written. Of course the books I did not want, were placed on the quarantine table. At checkout, they are providing opportunities for social distancing. The staff was pleasant who I came into contact with. read more

My family loves this bookstore. Everyone that works here is super friendly, there is a great upstairs area for kids, large selection of manga and comics for my daughter and hubs, cafe with good treats and coffee table plenty of space to sit and so much more. Sometimes there are some annyoung highschoolers hanging out but usually they're well behaved... I know I'd rather my kid be at a bookstore than other stuff they could be getting up to. read more

It's usually super busy on Friday nights, but otherwise it's nice. And I love shopping in the bargain priced sections for cool new books or sudoku puzzle books. It's a usual Barnes and Noble. Nothing too out of the ordinary. They seem to have a lot in stock since I rarely can't find something I'm looking for. Weekend nights are a bit rough because the local teenagers take over. Wow! I sounded like a crotchety old man there for a second, didn't I? Get off my lawn!!! Dang kids! Anyway, the only issue I tend to have around here is the lack of seating. They have a few stray tables and a few stray chairs, but unless you are sitting outside waiting for the place to open, they are probably going to be taken. The store is filthy. Stains on the carpet everywhere. Went to buy a travel book for a European city. All the foreign travel books are located in the US TRAVEL section. None of the books are alphabetized if you can believe that! The book I was looking for was from 2020. It looked used and as if it had gotten wet. Another customer was looking for a book on Puerto Rico, conveniently located next to a book on Canada. The book she looked at was from 2020 also. The restroom was disgusting. Two floors, plentiful parking, café with Starbucks coffee, and all the physical books you can smell! Hey, in the future, books will be a rarity, so get all the new book smells in while you can! I have a very personal attachment to this store in particular, as it served as the location where I went through a lot of self-discovery through reading. One of my biggest pet peeves about book stores these days is the lack of seating, but this one has several comfy armchairs upstairs in the fiction section that are perfect for spending a few delicious hours reading. The second floor provides more book space, but it also houses the children's area. If you want to get as far away from them as possible, sit on the ground floor. Even if you're upstairs, though, they're on the opposite side of the store. I wish the second floor were only "adult" books. Imagine how great it would be if kids were only allowed on the ground floor of any establishment! Okay, I'm kidding. Sort of. (But just imagine???) I highly recommend a trip to this store, if you're in need of a book or a little peace of mind. After I moved away, I realized just how much larger their selection is in certain departments. For instance, their bookshelf of journals is amazing compared to normal-sized stores. It's probably for the best that this isn't my local B&N anymore. I don't need another journal when I have *mumbles incoherently* journals already. ^-^v read more

This store is huge! Located at Wiregrass mall in Wesley Chapel they have 2 floors. Kids books and toys upstairs, adults downstairs plus a Starbucks. It's always clean and there are plenty of knowledgeable people working there if you have any questions. Check out staff was very friendly and helpful. Wow haven't been here in a while. Always loved book stores and my hubby is an avid reader. Our local library is closed for renovation so he really needed a book so he decided to buy one. It was our turn as the next guest in our line, Our cashier leaves right in front of us and says "I'm clocking out". She saw us standing in line and left?? Who does that?? I do love the atmosphere and the comfy feeling of a Barnes & Nobles. Well, I enjoy being surrounded by the books. On my last visit, I noticed the cafe a little messy and tables were a bit gross where we had to clean ourselves. We received exceptional service from the Nook department since tech books are a thing of a past, I ended up purchasing a Nook which had a huge selection available at affordable cost. Sad to see the diminished hard copies availability though. However, I must admit other than my Salesforce reading, I've enjoyed 2 leisure reading books. Not just a book store but a great place to come for parents with small children. They have a Thomas the train set table out for kids to interact with which my 5 year old loves to do. They also have a reading section and a theater section where older children can use their imagination and create a puppet show for their siblings and parents to enjoy. This location is heavy in rotation for my family's Friday night activity. It's near the pizza place we enjoy going to for dinner at Wiregrass Mall and then we come straight over for the kids to burn off some steam. The employees are very nice and helpful if you're ever in need of a specific book that you can't locate yourself. During the week and also on the weekends they host story time and other fun kid related activities to do. Be sure to stay up to date with their events calendar for specific dates and times. Bonus - this location has a coffee shop downstairs that proudly brews Starbucks coffee and carries the Cheesecake Factory cheesecake! Need I say more? read more

I love a good bookstore, and Barnes & Noble at the Shops of Wiregrass definitely does the trick for me! This is a two-story store with a Starbucks shop on the ground floor along with the magazines, e-readers, CD's, DVD's, and games. Upstairs is the kids section, separated from the fiction and non-fiction areas. On this particular day it was December 27th, and the Tampa. Florida area was enjoying a steamy 81 degree afternoon. After walking around the outside mall for a few hours it was time to find a cool drink and sit in the air conditioning. The last thing on my shopping list was a couple of paperbacks for my upcoming business trips, and so Barnes & Noble was my salvation. I stood in line at the Starbucks and ordered a super-sized plain iced tea with extra ice. There's a seating area off to one side with FREE WIFI, and plenty of people were curled up with books and magazines as they finished their drinks and munched on some pastries. I chose to wander around and look through the magazines and DVD's before riding the escalator up to the stacks of books. A couple of glances around the upper floor and I found the section marked "Mysteries" and started my search for something new. From there I moved over to the "Fiction" section and grabbed some Brad Meltzer and Clive Cussler paperbacks to keep me amused on my trips. Back down the escalator, and then follow the queue to the cash register and back out into the heat. A successful trip! read more

Anyway, this B&N is gorgeous, a 2 story affair and it is lovely, spacious and just grand. The people were friendly and warm, outgoing and polite, the store had plenty of places to sit,if you wanted to, and there was a Harry Potter event going on this night - gearing up for the script release me thinks. I was in here on a rainy Saturday afternoon and while the place was really busy & slightly crowded, it was quiet and peaceful at the same time. Had a hard time finding a test-prep book that I was looking for as they alphabetize the test prep books by the name of the test, but oh wait, they put some other ones on other shelves. Didn't understand why the one I wanted wasn't in the place it shoulda been, but on a different area. I did ask an associate and they pointed me in the correct direction quickly & easily though. Not a huge issue. Wish they had a store map too as it's so big! But, why complain too long and hard about them having such a great selection? read more

These two underrated geniuses put their minds and capital together to deliver truth, knowledge, classics, and the common novel to the average Joe in a comfortable way. A way in which a man or woman could read in a relaxed state with a bit of classical music playing softly in the background, while sitting in a squishy chair. The books were all for purchase, along with an opportunity to enjoy a bran muffin and coffee at their cafe. The staff was always friendly... however the bran muffins and coffee did a number to customers' stomachs and many scurried to do a number two in the local alleyway or an outhouse (often, these read newspapers and Sears & Roebuck catalogues...turning them into toilet tissue). Sadly, the original store was shut down during the dysentery outbreak of 1919. The Wiregrass Barnes and Noble seeks to salute Edmund Barnes and Zebulon Noble's original entrepreneurship... complete with friendly service (they know how to treat customers) and bathrooms that need cleaning - though not as bad as in 1919. In all seriousness, despite the problems with the restrooms, the Wiregrass Barnes and Noble is a two story wonder. The staff is wonderful and the cafe is nice. Large selection, clean and organized. Books are available to read online but I enjoy the physical copies and am glad Barnes & Noble hasn't suffered considering Covid took a toll on many businesses. This B&N has become a giant brick and mortar ad for Amazon.com. They used to have PCs where customers could look up a book or author so they could find it in the store. These are gone, replaced with password protected (yes, I got tired of waiting and tried to help myself) PCs at stations with labels like "information" and "customer services". I guess these are ironic labels, as there is never any information or customer service to be found at said stations. The book I wanted was not in either of the two sections I assumed it would be, so after standing at the "information" desk for over 10 minutes with no sign of staff, I went looking for employees. After a fruitless search on both floors, I cupped my hands to my mouth and called out: "Are there ANY bookstore employees here?" several times. Still no luck. Eventually I tossed the two books my son found onto a table, went to the parking lot, and ordered those two as well as the one I wanted from Amazon. They will all arrive in 48 hours for the same price. I guess it's clear why brick and mortar bookstores are going out of business at such a furious pace... read more
