Oy! Where do I even start with this spot? This experience was mind blowing. My significant other and I were on a trip to Atlanta and spontaneously chose Oy! for breakfast and it has been the most memorable breakfast dining experience that I have ever had. At the time we went, they weren't very busy at all. Our server was kind and super helpful. The food was amazing! I loved how unique the menu was. This place can count their days! I had the worst experience I have ever had in my entire life that this place! The customer service was below zero!! No one spoke to me at all when I walked in and sat at the bar and it was a waitress right at the bar so I asked if somebody was going to speak to me and another lady comes from behind me and took my order!! The place was buzzing when we stopped in for Sunday brunch. Staff is friendly. I ordered the egg soufflé. Our waiter warned that it is very cheesy. Basically, it's challah infused with a block of Swiss and cheddar cheeses. Very dense, and as a meal, a little too much cheese. The plate could have benefitted from a side of fruit to cut the density and saltiness of the cheese. My slice was also cooked a little too much with both ends solidified to the point the knife could not cut through. Hubby had the French toast. They should rename this play OK! Because everything about it is just Ok. The food was OK not great and the service was Ok not great. The pancakes are huge but don't really have a ton of taste and they were kind of dense so you have to bath them in syrup. The eggs and the home fries were probably the best things on the table. The space is not that big but still the waitress just dropped off our food never to be seen from again. She finally came back and asked me did I want a water refil when it was time to get the check which was pretty absurd. The parking is easy, the food came out fast ( on a Thursday around 11am), attentive service by Jimena, and the ambiance is casual and not loud. I had the eggs, turkey sausage, biscuit and grits. My partner had the breakfast sandwich. We shared a small pancake. It was big! And the pancake was delicious!. So flavorful! My partner said the sandwich was really good. I didn't like the sausage at all. It was clearly not fresh and I couldn't even fish both pieces. I would not have it again. The biscuit, grits and eggs were good. I would have then again. First we ordered food came out in less than 5 minutes literally. these shrimp and grits with onions, mushrooms, and two eggs on top fried hard is bussing. We ordered omelets, to be completely honest with you, we were disappointed. Original I order the steak and eggs but they ran out of steak. I took it as a sign to try out the omelet. They were dry, with no cheese which killed my taste because it simply taste like egg and cheese. I added salt and pepper but that doesn't compare to when it's cooked with the perfect flavor. Overall the service could use some improvement; the waitress was nice, however she was forgetful and the bill was messed up twice. Okay...it was lunch time but I really wanted breakfast. Checked out Yelp and found Oy! So I gave it a try. OMG! What a lot of food you get here! I was in the mood for pancakes, so I tried the breakfast meal that included a pancake, one egg any way, either bacon or sausage and it also included a fried potato hash brown (forgot what it's called). I substituted the blueberry pancake for the buttermilk, had my egg made into a mini omelette, and went with bacon. Bottom line is I couldn't finish it. It's a lot of food! The pancake is a 7 in pancake, which pretty much covers the whole plate. And that is the small pancake. They say they also make a 14in pancake which is roughly the size of a medium to large pizza! Oy! My mini omelette was tasty although it tasted like it was cooked in bacon grease rather than butter so it was sort of bacon greasy instead of light and fluffy. My second visit, I was in the mood for pancakes again so this time I tried the special pancake of the day which was the peach pancake. I chose the scrambled eggs, a sausage patty, and the fried hash brown came with it. Again, I couldn't finish it. Found this restaurant by searching for brunch places on Yelp! The pictures looked really good and it was close to where we planned to spend most of our day. Parking is limited and small, there was a small wait but that usually means it's good. Small inside but not crowded or too small to feel cramped. Went in on a Sunday around 11:30am. About an ten minute wait and was seated at a side table. I forgot our waitress name but she has purple hair which I loved! Super friendly, easy to talk with and wasn't put out with having to ask the kitchen questions so I would know what was gluten free friendly. I ended up getting the small farmers omelette with no cheese and no toast and a side order of a single gluten free pancake. My date ended up with a regular Philly cheesesteak omelette with toast and also pancakes. Didn't have to wait too long for our food 10-15 minutes and when it came out... I had a holy moly Moment in my head. A small omelette is pretty large in my book and my single pancake was the entire size of the plate like 7" around. Overall food was delicious and I really enjoyed my pancake and food. I will be back when I'm in town next and look forward to trying something different. read more

Seating is not the most comfortable and if you go on a weekend you can usually expect to wait at least 10 min before you can be seated because it's a pretty small space.
