I drive by this place just about everyday on my way to work and have always wanted to stop in because I've heard the food was soooo good. It may have taken me years to get here but I made it! My friend and I decided to come here for brunch on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning and was was glad it wasn't super busy. There's not a ton of space inside but it's cozy and cute. They have all sorts of cute little wall art and not a lot of bells and whistles. Kinda makes you feel like your in someone's cool dining area. There were two big groups in front of us but we were seated within 5 minutes. Our waitress made her way to our table not too long after we sat down and was just the sweetest. She took our order and while I really liked her attitude and the service she provided, she was working multiple tables and seemed to the be the only server as things got a little busier. She checked on us when she could but it did take a reallly long time for our food to arrive. That was the one thing I didn't like about our visit. When our food did arrive, it was hot and just looked amazing. There's soooo much to choose from on the menu and their portions are not small so while I ordered a "make your own" omelette with chicken, spinach, and cheese, I'm sure I took 5 bites and felt full. Needless to say I barely put a dent in that dish. My friend ordered a huge pancake and eggs, hash browns, and sausage. He enjoyed every bit of and was kind enough to let me try the pancake. Massive pancakes, a name that is pretty fun to say and prices that are ridiculously affordable for the Atlanta brunch scene? Yes Please! Oy! or OverIndulgent Yumminess, located on Cumberland Parkway in Vinings is a small breakfast, brunch and lunch only place that serves so really tasty food, in gigantic portions at a very reasonable price! Situated in the same shopping center as Marlowe's Tavern, Oy! occupying the middle of the plaza with a simple double door entry that leads directly into the dining space. One would think a place that serves 14" pancakes, yes...14", would be quite roomy - but Oy! is on the smaller side, with around 15 tables, one booth and a bar that seats four. For this reason, you need to make sure you don't come starving, as on the weekends the wait can be quite lengthy, as us Atliens love our brunch and over-sized portions! Parking can be a little tricky, as given the two restaurants in this shopping center, parking comes at a premium during peak hours. If you just cant find a spot, the Publix nearby is roughly a block or two away distance wise and provides a plethora of extra parking. Service - Great from the moment we entered to the moment we left. We ended up bellying up to the bar due to it being first come first serve and as soon as we sat, we were greeted by a waitress who was ready to sling us our drinks. Shortly after receiving our drinks, we placed our food order. While our initial greeting, food delivery and check delivery were all completed by different staff, they were all helpful, nice and efficient! Food - Did I mention the serving sizes? While neither of us actually ordered the pancakes, we fawned over multiple 14" disks of deliciousness leaving the kitchen! They have all types, a few of my personal favs and soon to be orders were the chocolate chip, red velvet and bacon pancakes. In addition to these, the french toast that came out of that kitchen looked absolutely out of this world mouth watering...and was equally as huge! We opted for a more traditional breakfast, with the breakfast sandwich and biscuits and gravy, both sided with cheese grits. Neither order failed to impress! The biscuits were fluffy yet dense, firm but equally soft, while the gravy was smooth, peppery and thick that coated both biscuits with perfection! The breakfast sandwich was pretty decent size, and able to come on a variety of breads such as rye, sourdough and challah. We opted for the sourdough, which was a fantastic vessel for a well put together and rather filling sandwich! The cheese grits were good as well, while they are not featured on the menu, the kitchen staff dropped some shredded cheddar cheese in the bowl of grits and called it a day...and I was'nt mad at em for it! If you didn't already know, brunch in Atlanta can get quite pricey...so, the fact that we were able to escape after two full meals with drinks for under $20, is nothing short of AMAZING! We legit had to review the ticket, as we thought something surely was rang up incorrectly. Lucky for us and to our surprise, nothing was...it was that good of a value! Overall, I really enjoyed Oy! This may very well become a new spot we go to occasionally. Everything from the greeting at the host stand to our exit was impeccable. Our server AJ was attentive and professional and we never felt like we had to ask for anything because she was on top often everything. One of my biggest pet peeves is spending money on a bad time and bad food; I feel like our money was well spent here. The portions of the food were generous but not obnoxiously so. My boyfriend's over medium eggs were cooked perfectly and he's a little snooty tooty about his eggs. I don't know what coffee they use but I must find out next time because that's what I'm snooty about. The vibe inside was welcoming and didn't feel awkward at all, unlike the "Another Broken Egg" down the street that we had to leave this morning and come here. Went there twice so this is a review combining both visits. The first time I went was a weekday around 2 pm. I couldn't decide which pancakes to get so I pretty much got all of them. It was something like $7.99 for one or $10.99 for a sampler of 3. I chose to order the small 3 pancake sampler. The waitress warned me that they were big to which I replied 'I'm a big guy' Well she wasn't kidding the small 3 pancakes were ridiculously big. Too big for this big guy. I ate a bit of each of them which cane to the equivalent of one pancake. The waitress sais I ate more than she expected and did better than most people. So if I had to base my review on this one visit I would say five stars. This place was great, my server was great and the pancakes were great. The pancakes were so great I decided to go again on a Sunday. Well this experience was far from great. I arrived at 2pm and waited my turn to give our names to the hostess. I went to wash up after giving my name and returned to the hostess stand. There were now 3 tables with no guests that needed to be cleared. The hostess then informed us that I could only get to go food and they were no longer seating people. I pointed out the empty tables and asked why she didn't tell me this before and I got a 'oh well' for an answer. Turns out I saw the people who were ahead of me in line in the parking lot. The waitress was a mess, had food smears and stains on her shirt pants, like she was wiping her hands instead of using a towel. While many come through for the challenge fo the giant pancakes, there are other food challenges like the mountain of fries with the avalanche of toppings. Finally came to Oy on a Sunday morning after having it on my list for forever! I must say that the philly cheesecake omelette is delicious! It's something about that queso cheese on the omelet with the beef and meat that surprisingly goes together very well! The blueberry pancake was pretty good but I've had better and I also wished that it had more blueberries. I also tried the red velvet and the strawberry stack pancakes and they were pretty good too, just not something I would have to have again. I live down the street from this location and my latest experience was only my second... and quite honestly my last. My boyfriend and I ordered their house special the 'American breakfast" x2, but I replaced my pancake with a strawberry short stack and we both requested cheese added to our eggs. Baby.... I should've just went a half mile more and cooked breakfast with all the fixings. Unfortunately the only thing that was great to me was the bacon. The "potato latke" was nothing but breakfast potatoes MINUS seasoning, onions, etc. so they were dry. My short stack had no flavor... I had to drown my stack in syrup just to eat it. It looked like dried strawberries and red coloring added to a buttermilk pancake .. no flavor unfortunately. Our eggs did not have cheese in it either. We came out to this place because it had beautiful pancakes on Yelp, but we were VERY disappointed... Not only did it take 55 minute to get our food, we watched multiple grub hub drivers come in and get take out orders... it's really not cool to be doing all of these take out orders when you can't even serve the people who have been sitting down waiting for over an hour. I have had Oy bookmarked for quite some time now and I'm happy to say I finally dined here on a Sunday for Brunch. After reading the rave reviews I was prepared for a long wait. There were several groups of people standing outside waiting when we arrived. The friendly hostess told us the wait would be around 30 minutes, but my friend and I noticed that the bar was empty so we opted to eat at the bar. The young lady behind the counter Tiffani serving us was awesome. Our coffee cups stayed full as well as our water. Tiffani kindly answered our many questions that we had as first timers and also gave us suggestions based off of me not eating meat and wanting to not totally throw my diet. I ordered the Farmer's Omelette with egg whites and a side of hand-cut fries. The omelette was good no complaints, it was definitely one of the healthiest items on the menu. The fries were not what I expected they were a tad too big and a bit undercooked, they tasted more like potato wedges, I'm not a fan. My friend ordered the Challah Egg & Cheese Souffle, which tasted like a huge grilled cheese sandwich... it was absolutely delicious. Next time I plan on working out before I come, so I can eat whatever I want. The Strawberry Shortstacks are definitely on my list. Everything seems to be oversized which is part of Oy's charm so make sure you come with an appetite and if you truly want to enjoy the amazing dishes they serve come on a cheat day no dieting here. I had brunch here yesterday with my sister, and the wait was very minimal. We were seated in less than 10 mins. I believe they are short-staffed as it doesn't appear that they have enough people to bus tables as we had to wait for our tablet to be cleaned even after we were told we were ready to be seated. The menu is pretty standard. I had the American Breakfast with scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese, home fries, pork sausage, and a pancake. They do permit you to substitute to another type of pancake. Beware. The pancakes are huge. That's why you only need one. They have a 7-in and a 14-in pancake and I had to ask for syrup for the pancake and when the guy came to the table he sat the syrup on top of our pancakes on the plate, which is rather unsanitary. I immediately moved them. Also, I had a side of grits. They were good but lumpy. The main waiter was nice and attentive, but he spilled water on my left leg inadvertently but I removed it immediately. It was just not the best experience and I was disappointed because my office is near this spot and I always wanted to try it. Parking is ample in the shopping center lot. The waitress was nice, but we had a family of 4 and a toddler. The waitress says, I know it doesn't make sense but I have to charge you as a group. She looked strange because she knew it was ridiculous. She assumed she was not gonna get a tip when in reality, she would have gotten a larger tip because we liked the service. The BIGGEST TURN OFF was finding a long strand of hair in our food. We had a direct line of site to the chef; it was 100% her hair. No accommodation was suggested. We definitely will not return. After I drove BACK to let them know they gave a half-ass excuse then proceeded to take the old order (which I'd already eaten because why not?!) and give me my order which was undoubtedly cold at this point but I was hungry. I got the cold food home and the Strawberry pancake was half done - NOTHING AT ALL LIKE THE DESCRIPTION OR PICTURES. He came to get us our drink orders - two diet Coke's, six waters abs one coffee. Brought all the drinks and said "she'll bring your coffee when she comes to fake your ordr." No that didn't happen- I asked her again for my coffee. She was busy with the other tables - she couldn't cover our table. I motioned to another server that I needed my coffee (it's been more than 20 mins now since we sat-good thing I was dying of dehydration!). She brought my coffee and we asked for utensils so I could stir my coffee. Still our server was nowhere in sight - well I saw her but she was busy with the other tables -what was wrong with our table?? The other server brought out utensils on top of a piles of napkins & said it might be better if we handed it out - awww I'm not self serving my own table. I get COVID & all but come on, you are a restaurant so you should have enough employees working!! I do not like to give poor reviews but I do a lot of traveling and I really depend on Yelpers to give honest reviews that saves me time and money which I do not like fo waste. We were excited to try Oy! for the first time today and called ahead to see what the wait was like. They said 15 minutes, so we left and drove the five minutes to get there. When we got there, we were quoted 30 minutes - no big deal. We waited 35 before we checked in to see what was up and they couldn't tell us how much longer it would be despite have 6 open tables and there were still 8 names ahead of us. We waited another 15 minutes before we went back in and the poor host was so busy and working hard but when I asked her again what the rest of the wait looked like, she couldn't tell me. I asked her if we could at least be seated somewhat soon or if not, if we should go somewhere else. She said going somewhere else was out best bet. I don't see us going back. read more

I like Oy!!! After reading all the reviews of my fellow Yelpers, I was excited to try this place! We arrived around 11ish for brunch, there were only 2 other people dining in, so we took our time to review the menu thoroughly. Prices were a little steep, but we finally settled on a couple of omelettes ( no table service ). I order The Diet, which is a 6 egg omelet, it includes ham, bacon, steak, mushrooms & onion, its cover in queso & my friend order the Philly cheese steak omelette with a side of toast. Everything was really good,my omelette was load with meat, but it was more then we could eat at one setting. So we ended up taking the rest to go. The menu includes burgers and loaded fries, also pancakes and omelettes.... The cashier says they serve all items, all day! So yes, you can have a burger for breakfast if you like. They also have Arden's Garden beverages at this place. On my way out my friend noticed the French toast plate, they were huge...
