    Tofu wrap skewers

Finally there is an amazing restaurant open at late. The staffs were very friendly even we come round 11:00pm. The food was so good. The skewers are perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. This place will be my most favorite late dinner restaurant.

Really love this neighborhood restaurant. Very friendly service, clean environment and the food comes out quickly and very tasty. The quality and quantity get your money's worth. Most of the dishes are spicy but you can request less spicy or not spicy. Another great part of this restaurant is that that open until 2AM! Love ordering the midnight snack from them.

Best skewer in the area! and they also served some Noodle soup and cold noodles also seafood selection too! the service was good and open until midnight. Support local Asian business

I've been coming to this spot for a while on and off now, and it's always been good, but ever since the new ownership took over, it's even better! The skewers are cooked perfectly, super flavorful, and the quality. You can really taste the difference. I've brought my friends here recently, and they've all loved it too. The seasoning is on point, the meat is juicy, and even the veggies are delicious! The garlic eggplant being our favorite. We look forward to coming here biweekly pretty much now.

Finally tried this place. We went to the Oyama BBQ in Newark before, and the menu here is different. Duck neck - 3.5/5 This is on a more spicy side. Don't recommend ordering this if you can't eat spicy. Skewers (beef, lamb and chicken wings) - 5/5 Very nice skewers. Well seasoned and very tender. Cucumber salad - 3.5/5 I didn't expect this is a spicy dish. It is seasoned in chili oil, so it is a little oily. Not a big fan. marinated shredded potatoes - 4.5/5 The potatoes salad is crispy and refreshing. It goes well with skewers. Zhajiang Mian - 4/5 The flavor is good and the noodle is chewy, but it is kinda oily. Overall, a great place for late night Chinese food. We will definitely go back.

Service is always excellent, the food that we have ordered like beef, lamb and tendons skewers are delicious. We also tried their spicy fried chicken cubes, it was the bomb, all the ingredients were amazing, melting in your mouth. I would recommend for anyone who likes spicy food , to come to this restaurant and try the skewers and their spicy chicken. Oh? And Ray ( not sure if I correctly spelled her name right) is the best! She always comes to our table just to make sure everything was okay with our meals. She is the sweetest girl!

I absolutely love Chinese skewers- it's always a go-to if I want some late night grub. I was more than thrilled to see there's a skewer place closer to me and I don't have to drive out to the city or to SJ! You order from your phone via a QR code on the table. We ordered a bunch of skewers- from beef, lamb, fish balls with roe, tripe, etc. I can't remember all of them but they were pretty tasty. Keep in mind that all the skewers have the same seasoning- some sort of xinjiang spice mixture. The skewers were tender and not over cooked. I ordered some sort of mala soup that had enoki mushrooms- I forgot the name of it. I would skip out on it since it's literally just enoki mushrooms and malatang soup. It's nothing special. Service was pretty fast. We got our orders within 10 minutes or so.

I'm so happy we found Oyama BBQ tonight! They are open until midnight for all you late night owls. After a long day of work, it's nice to have fresh skewers! My fam and I tried their fried chicken, chicken feet, beef, and chicken hearts. They really have an array to choose from. They have spicy foods and non spicy, everything is fresh and made to order. The service is wonderful, they even showed us a special desert with sweet plum ooh it was phenomenal !! They are so sweet here and the ambiance was perfect for a fam meal and a great conversation. Lots of regulars here so that's a good sign!! I loved it !!!

Haven't been to the store in a while, but ordered plenty via DoorDash since my last review. My updated review: Oyama BBQ is still botdotcom. In fact, I would say better than when they first opened. This place has since perfected its cook time and seasonings for each type of skewer. The beef tendon was tender and melt-in-your-mouth with a subtle chewiness. The garlic cloves were like soft pillows (yes, I love garlic and can eat them raw). The eggplant is no longer bland per 3 years ago and is now beautifully charred with a minced garlic mixture. You cannot go wrong with ordering beef, lamb, scallops and oysters. There are a few new items on the menu and the restaurant has launched a steam pot 锡纸 series. I feel like this is probably the first for a Chinese restaurant out in our area, so I was super duper excited. We got the duck blood and vermicelli steam pot and clam and vermicelli steam pot. First things first, the broth used to cook the two pots are the same so my recommendation is to get the clam and vermicelli. The vermicelli was cooked al dente and the clam meat was supple and flavorful. The spicy, garlicky and kind of mala chili oil broth elevated the taste. Nothing bad about the duck blood and vermicelli pot, we were just expecting a non-spicy Nanjing version with tofu puffs (IYKYK). I also think cubing the duck blood would work better for texture versus a flat slice. Service is better than before. The owner used to be there all the time and he had somewhat of an RBF, so I could see how that may irk people. Order via QR code. Last call for the kitchen is 11:20pm.

Cucumber salad is delicious! Slight spicy kick
    Pam N.

You scan a QR code and place your orders through there. If you listen closely, you'll hear a ding from the front register each time someone places an order. If you hear alot of dings, you better hurry and get yours in soon. The wait is worth it though. Lamb skewers are the absolute legend here. Perfectly grilled and tender, we order about 6 for the 2 of us each time. They are seasoned well and are so tasty. No other meat compares even though the chicken is moist and the chicken skin is crispy. We always go back to the lamb. Smashed cucumber salad is soooo good here. Great balance of spice heat, acid and crunch from addition of peanuts. A staple every time we visit. If I could, I would come here once a week.

Oyama is my family's new guilty pleasure! Some of the items here are really a 5/5! By now, we have come here several times and I can report on several menu items. I've been to other locations/similar restaurants and this place has some good items that are a must try! There is plenty of parking around and even though they are often busy, we usually get seated right away. Now for the food: -Beef Skewer, Chicken Skewers, Lamb Skewers 5/5: I've had the beef, chicken and lamb. I'm not a huge fan of the lamb one. It is a bit salty for me but my husband loves it. The beef is my favorite and chicken is good too. -Soy Sauce Fried Rice 4/5: it is pretty good and we ordered this a couple of times until we tried the other fried rice. -Egg Fried Rice 5/5: this is delicious and so far our favorite fried rice. They did take a while to bring it out which is the one thing I don't like because I usually want to eat it with the skewers. -Steam Bun 5/5: so delicious!!!! It is a tab bit sweet but I wouldn't call it a dessert either. It balances the flavors well. -Cucumber Salad 5/5: very fresh and delicious! It's a good side dish for all the meat items. -Chicken Wings 4/5: very good and fresh. My daughter loved them! It comes with two. -Quail Eggs 5/5: I love them. They are season quail eggs, a bit salty but a good complement to the food. -Vinegar Spinach 3/5: this was not the dish for us. We tried it but I'm not sure I'll order it again. It has a lot of vinegar. The flavor was not it for us. -Egg Plant 1/5: this was not good at all. It is a steamed eggplant with a lot of garlic on top of it. I wouldn't order it again. -Chives 4/5: they are a bit salty but we like them. I wouldn't get them every time I come here but once in a while. -Vegetables skewer 5/5: they look like the chives but taste better and less salty. Instead order the vegetables! -Spicy Oysters 4/5: my husband likes them but it is a $20 dish and the oysters are tiny. This is more of a once in a while dish. Over all we love this restaurant! The food is delicious and the staff very friendly. The food quality is also very consistent! -

We have tried to come here before but it was super packed no parking and it was night time . This was months ago . This morning my man surprised me by bringing me here again for Mother's Day breakfast/brunch . We got there right when opening and the inside was already full ( people made reservations for Mother's Day but they had outdoor seating which is covered from the sun and has heaters ) They had a special menu for Mother's Day today so a lot of what you might see on the regular menu may have not been on today's menu . Our waiter let alone the rest of the staff were very nice and polite and kept wishing happy Mother's Day to everyone . It was very nice . Now food ! Ofcourse you know I got oysters . They had 5 different kinds to choose from but I got the dozen with all of them ! All fresh ! Some were more sweet some more Briney some more creamy . All of them were good and the shallot vinaigrette was the cherry on top ! He got the tortilla soup and we shared the cheesy crabby bread . He dipped it in the soup ( boys lol ) and sad it was good . My personal opinion I love the bread they used ! And nice flavor with out taking away from the nice amount of crab they put on it ! The steak Cobb salad was a very nice portion and the steak was cooked medium rare just how I like it . I was expecting it to be cut up pieces but no they gave you a whole filet which is nice if you want something light and filling I'd definitely recommend this salad . The clams were amazing ! The sauce was so savory just added a dash of lemon and I was in heaven . Plus the cheesy toasted bread they give you to slurp all that excellence lol top tier . Crab omelette was made with egg whites only no yolk , and had ample amount of LUMP crab meat no skimpy at all ! Potatoes were seasoned nice . And the waffles ( which comes by itself heads up that's why we ordered sausage and bacon as a side 8$ each kinda pricey. But we're very thick and good ) the waffles comes with a berry butter spread fresh fruit . Fluffy but still crisp. The limoncello mimosa flavor wise loved the limon but lacked the mosa part . Overall I'd highly recommend and want to come back to try more options . It was nice seeing all the happy families and the cutesy babies all around . Today was a beautiful day thankyou Wences !

Because I was introduced to the kamayan feast, which is basically what happens when a table decides utensils are optional, manners get relaxed, and food is no longer "served" so much as presented as a shared event happening directly in front of you. At first, I hesitated. I did the classic first-timer move--hovering my hand slightly above the food like I was trying to ask permission from the rice itself. Everyone else, however, was already fully committed. No forks. No hesitation. Just confidence and garlic rice. So I adapted. Quickly. And suddenly, I understood. The table was covered in a spread of Filipino traditional dishes that didn't feel like separate items--they felt like one coordinated experience. Garlic rice acting like the foundation of everything. Rich, savory meats layered in with bold seasoning and slow-cooked depth. Bright, tangy bites cutting through the richness at just the right moments like they'd been choreographed by someone's very opinionated lola. Every bite was slightly chaotic in the best way because there's no "correct" path. You just build your own perfect forkless (well... utensil-less) combination with your hands and hope the ancestors approve. What really got me, though, wasn't just the food--it was the customs behind it. Kamayan isn't just "eating with your hands." It feels like a quiet lesson in Filipino hospitality. Everything is shared. Everything is communal. You're not isolated in your own plate-world--you're part of a table ecosystem where people are constantly offering, pointing, encouraging: "Try this with that," "No, you need more rice with that bite," "Trust me." And somehow, even as a first-timer fumbling through the etiquette of it all, nobody lets you feel out of place. You're just... folded into it. At one point I stopped worrying about doing it right and just accepted that the correct way to eat kamayan is the way that gets more food into your mouth while laughing with the people around you. Simple enough. By the end, the table looked like a successful mission had taken place--emptied platters, scattered grains of rice, sauces doing their final victory lap. And everyone had that satisfied, slightly sleepy feeling of having actually shared a meal instead of just consuming one. I came in curious. I left a little less formal, a lot more full, and weirdly convinced that all food tastes better when your hands are allowed to participate in the decision-making process. Kamayan didn't just reintroduce me to Filipino food customs from my past. It solidifed my ancestry and up bringing allowing me to experience a whole different way of eating together with...Mahal. The jerk chicken was beautifully executed. Smoky, well-marinated, and layered with flavor without being overpowering. The meat was tender, cooked through, and balanced perfectly between char and juiciness. The rice and peas were equally satisfying -- flavorful enough to stand alone but clearly designed to complement the protein. And the plantains were caramelized just right: soft, sweet, and not overly oily. What really stands out is the care. Nothing felt rushed or generic. Oh Mah Gawd this food is INSANE!…read more I now know why they call it Jerk Chicken, it's because your coworkers will call you a Jerk for not sharing! My 5 coworkers and I decided to try Jam N Jerk Kitchen out so we ordered some plates for 6 people. The owner did a Paula Abdul and "Straight now tell me" and told me the most cost effective way to get our order which was the mini-catering option. Let me tell you, she was absolutely right! The value of the the quality of the food on as well as the amount you get is fantastic (take a look at the pics). We ordered a medley of everything, the Jerk Fish, Jerk Chicken, Oxtails, Rasta Pasta, Jam n Cheez, Rice N Peas, all were incredible. The chicken was so flavorful, the oxtails fall off the bone, the fish with the mango salsa was kickin, and the jam n Cheeze was sooooo gooey! The food was so good in fact that our coworkers demanded us to share! The food literally made me believe in love again, so I called my wife and said "Honey I believe in Love again and Love you, to which she responded, I love you too but you better bring me home that food!" Some tips to make your experience Rad 1. The menu on their site is merely just a guide regarding prices and what is available. When the owners contact you they will tell you the prices and have your best interest in mind and guide you to what is right for you. 2. The address will take you to a large complex. Find the pool and leasing office and that is the location to pick up your food. Again the love they put in the food, the quantity of what you get, and the taste makes this a must have!

And April 12, I had a birthday party dinner at Elia, after making these reservations for pa party…read morepf 10 over a week before, I confirmed my reservations by email, and 6 phones calls from the restaurant. I was told I would be charged if I missied the reservation as well. Day of dinner, my party arrived at Elia 20 mins ealry and was still told they couldnt sit down. In that time the restaurant decided to let another party sit at my reserved table instead. Finally arriving myself ( still 5 mins to soare before reservation) I see my entire family standing in the middle of the restaurant. ( Only black family in the entire building of course) after questioning the fron door person she told me shes trying to get a table and wait at the bar?! 35 mins later my family was seated. Thinking I would have an apology for the miscommunication, I had to request my own birthday desert as they gave a lit candelr and song to guest around. And yes the restaurant knew it was my birthday they even had the menus changed. I go to this restaurant a lot so im still very upset how my family and I were treated and I bullied down to confirm my reservations multiple times. Overall. This is my last time at Elia. I hope this is reviewed and Elia updates their customer service. Thank you to the waiter who did her best with so many issuesz -Kiarra R.

If you want the authentic Greek experience, fly to Greece. But if you're craving delicious Greek…read morefood closer to home, head over to Elia in Walnut Creek, it might just save you the cost of a plane ticket while still amazing your taste buds. We started with the crispy zucchini appetizer, which was the perfect crunchy beginning to the meal. The salad was light and refreshing, and the burrata with figs was a sweet and surprisingly delicious combination, not something I would normally order, but absolutely worth trying. For our entrée, we shared the chicken skewers with rice and salad, and it was more than enough for two girls reminiscing about our fun college days. The atmosphere and décor were vibrant and inviting, especially sitting outside on a gorgeous sunny day. Parking was easy with a nearby garage, or if you're lucky, you can grab street parking. We skipped dessert only because we had our eyes set on bundt cakes down the street, but I'm sure the desserts here are just as wonderful. This is the perfect spot for fresh food, good vibes, and a relaxing afternoon or evening. There's even a theater nearby, making it a great dinner-and-a-movie destination all within walking distance. I loved the food, the customer service was excellent, and I cannot wait to return. Thank you, Elia!
