    Tantan noodle

Very different experience than my last one Ordered the tan tan noodle. Was so terrible. The noodles were the same texture of barilla thin spaghetti and the taste was off. Menu here changed a lot and added a lot of non authentic Chinese foods which is very disappointing Service was fine, but restaurant itself seemed to also be not as clean as it was before.

Had a craving for the cucumber salad at Dumpling and Noodle House! We also ordered the beef roll (if you love cilantro, this is for you), the pork and shrimp soup dumplings, the chicken and mushroom boiled dumplings, the fried leek pockets (the noodles in side the pockets are nice), and the eggplant with garlic sauce. Food was all amazing!

We've been pretty regulars here since they opened and for good reason. Food is always hot and fresh. No frills just good food. We had the garlic eggplant and green beans and they wete so fragarent and hot. The beef rolls were crispy and flavorful. Fried rice had plenty of shrimp and eggs without being greasy. We tried a new appetizer, the crispy fish and the portion was huge! Wish it had a little more sauce with it, but still pretty good. Fried well withoult being oily. We always like being here because service is always good and friendly. The place isn't huge but has many seating options so we've had big family meals with 8-10 people or the more usual 2-4 persons. Always a great place for some great Chinese food.

Amazing fresh food! Delicious delicious delicious What more is there to say? Great service period free service. Super friendly service.

This is a hole in the wall spot I recommend trying. They have a good amount of parking and it's very low key inside with great service. You order off of a QR code and can either order individually or as a group. If you order as a group, I would recommend having 1 person handle the order since it can get a bit chaotic and multiple things can be added to the order without notice. The dumplings are a must have, I don't care which ones you get. They are juicy, flavorful and meaty. Honestly, everything is flavorful here without a single dish that we got lacking. My favorites are always dipped in chili oil so I highly recommend that. If you get the regular pork or any meat flavored XLB, they give you a bit of vinegar on the side that is meant to compliment the soup inside. BE CAREFUL, IT IS HOT. The fish and tofu dish was so refreshing that we forgot I needed to take a picture before digging in, so forgive the lack of, we all had divided up portions before I remembered to take a picture. The fish was very smooth and a refreshing flavor from all of the salty and spicy. And the green beans was very well blanched and sautéed with a good wok flavor to add some greens to the carb and protein loaded meal. I am absolutely coming back here and I wished I had ordered more to take some home and eat at a later time because this spot is a little hard for me to get to on a daily basis but very worth it.

My new go-to dim sum spot!! I recently moved and was looking for a new dim sum spot and this place beats my old one! Everything was super fresh, not oily, and very reasonably priced. I tried the Chinese beef roll. I'd never had this before and I was pleasantly surprised how delicious it was. Def will be getting this again. The soup dumplings were delicious and a must try. The other dumplings were good but I think I'll try something new next time. I got a Thai tea on the side and it was good! Inside there is plenty of seating, including half booths. There were a couple of groups of people dining on a weekday and I can see why this place is popular :) Would recommend!

Sau mai. Kept forgetting to take pictures before eating. Sorry.

Food is really good. Service is just ok. We got a large variety of dishes, beef roll, pot stickers, pan fried buns, steamed meat bun, char sau bao, combination noodles sau mai, har gow, and the custard buns. Custard buns were awesome, creamy and not too sweet. We've had better sau mai, but they were good because I was craving them. Har gow could have been better. Not sure we'd get those again. Char sau baos were ordinary. The beef rolls were really good. Good amount of meat and the ratio to the pancake was perfect.

Food safety issue! There was a piece of hair / plastic material in the food I ordered delivered. Already contacted the delivery service and will also leave a google review. This is NOT okay.

We came here after using Yelp's Surprise Me feature for dinner and it was so good! My absolute favorite was the pork wonton in chili oil, an absolute must. This restaurant has QR codes on the table, you scan and order their the page and the food comes to you. There is staff walking around checking on your water and any needs you may have. Their decor is very nice and the place is clean. Looking forward to coming back!

I don't even want to do this review, preferring to keep this place a secret. It's that good! It looks a little confusing out front. I wasn't sure which lot to park in, but turn into the lot just before the restaurant. Know that it will be worth it! You can order from the table and pay the waiter after. He was quiet, but efficient and well versed in serving all the tables himself. We ordered and paid right after in order to make a flight, and the waiter accommodated. He was polite and got us whatever we asked for. There are indicators that this is a good place because it filled up fast after noon. You can also tell the foods is going to be good by the people who eat there. A diverse group, but I could tell this is a favorite spot for many. My sister ordered 3 of the soup dumplings, 2 orders of the steamed bbq pork buns, and the veggie fried rice, and it was just enough for three ladies. Everything was the best I've ever had. I love a good pretty dumpling, but these were my first soup dumplings and the best freshest pork buns! Have to get the steamed BBQ pork buns! The rice was so delicious with the slightly seared cabbage and veggies! Loved it! I was ready to go back before we were done eating. No joke. My new favorite place!

This is a restaurant where the menu doesn't just list dishes...it teaches you something. The moment you open the menu, you know you're in the right place. The Cold Plate (冷盤) section alone reads like a passport stamp to Chengdu: BEEF TRIPE & BEEF FLAKE (夫妻肺片) - tender, numbing, and electric with Sichuan peppercorns. If you know, you know. Sliced Pork with Spicy Garlic (蒜泥白肉) - silky, rich, and packed with real chili heat. North Sichuan Green Pea Jelly (川北冷粉) - hot, sour, spicy, and addictive. Spicy Pig Ear (紅油豬耳) - crunchy, aromatic, and perfectly done. Jellyfish Salad (葱油海蜇) - refreshing, light, and authentically seasoned. These aren't "safe choices for the American palate." These are dishes straight from the Sichuan playbook, and they are done properly. And then the entrées -- highlights worth calling out: Sichuan Tea-Smoked Duck (香辣樟茶鴨) - smoky, spicy, fragrant; a dish you don't see done right very often. They nail it. Boiled Fish Fillet in Chili Oil (水煮魚片) - a must-order for anyone who really understands Sichuan cuisine. Beautiful heat and numbing balance. Cumin Beef or Lamb (孜然牛/羊肉) - bold, aromatic, and cooked with confidence. Dry-Fried Green Beans (干扁四季豆) - textbook execution. The menu is huge, but instead of feeling generic, it feels like a curated journey through Sichuan: hot pots, clay pots, seafood, offal, noodles, cold appetizers, and delicacies you rarely see outside China. This is one of the few restaurants in the East Bay where I'd confidently send someone who says, "I want real Sichuan." Service is warm, portions are generous, spice levels are honest, and the prices are more than fair for the quality and effort in these dishes. If you love authentic food--actual Sichuan food--this is a must-visit. --Elliott L., Walnut Creek "Here for the peppercorns, stayed for the joy."

Another thing we ordered when we visited this restaurant yesterday was the Sichuan Cumin Beef. I honestly forgot how much we liked this dish. The way they cooked it yesterday was incredible. Every bite was packed with flavor (savory, very cumin-y and spicy!) , and even the veggies were fully infused with it. It went perfectly with steamed rice. I want to give a warning though, because this dish was extremely spicy, which I personally loved. I liked it so much that I ended up ordering another one to go so I could keep eating it at home over the next few days, lol. I also want to give a shout out to the guy who was basically single-handedly running the restaurant yesterday. On top of that, he was super friendly the entire time. We ordered a non-spicy dish (lotus root) for our toddler, but it arrived spicy anyway. Since we couldn't wait another hour for a remake, she ended up just eating white rice. To top it off, our beef tripe and blood in hot pot broth dish arrived without the blood. When we finally flagged Rambo down, he explained they intentionally exclude it because some customers find it "smelly." As a Chinese customer who specifically ordered the dish for the blood, I found this frustrating and deceptive. If an ingredient is being removed from a titled dish, guests must be notified upfront. We enjoyed the flavors of the spicy tan tan noodles, lotus root, black pepper lamb, and ma-po tofu, but the management needs to hire more weekend staff. We'll stick to takeout from now on.

A Five Star Review for a great restaurant that lasted longer than Barnes & Noble and Gamestop. Pleasant Hill is going to lose a great Chinese Restaurant that been serving great food!
