A good place for a quick bite of sushi near universal park area. It's a casual family friendly place with decent prices. They do sell beer and saki along with non alcoholic drinks. Parking is shared with other businesses in the area yet there is plenty. The service was good.

This place is small and casual. Only two employees in the restaurant and your food is cooked to order. Do not feel like I waited long at all. All of the fried foods were super hot and crunchy right from the oil. And all of the sushi tasted VERY fresh. If we lived here, I would be a weekly patron. It was that good! Will definitely be back whenever I'm in Orlando!

Ordered from here on Thanksgiving as my girlfriend & I were on vacation & craving sushi for dinner. When I called, the owner said he was closing up shortly early for Thanksgiving, but said he'd happily make our orders before closing, so he stayed open for us. He even offered me a free Coke on my way out & wished me a Happy Thanksgiving. Needless to say, the best customer service I have ever had. On top of all of that, the food was sensational, we especially enjoyed the Kamikaze roll. There's a part of me that wishes I lived in Orlando so I could give Sushiology more of my business. If you're ever in the area & want great food from a great establishment, this is the spot for you!

This place never fails! With Kuya Bob running the show and serving great food, you'll get way more than what you paid for.

Such a great little spot on idrive. I've been coming here for over ten years and it's stayed consistently good. It is small inside with probably about eight seats. However if you're in the area and you're looking for some sushi it's definitely a great stop. I've gotten their gigabyte a couple of times to split with a few friends. If you're looking for something new to try I would recommend trying their Takoyaki. They are a little hot when you first get them but it's certainly unique. All of the rolls are reasonably priced and the fish seems fresh. The service was fast and friendly. There were only two employees there the night I went One was taking orders and taking care of the restaurant the other one was rolling the sushi rolls and taking care of the food. It took about 15 minutes from ordering to get everything and my husband and I were both full and happy at the end.

Family food Adventure!!! Sushi Style!!! Everyone got different types of Japanese cuisine at this cozy establishment. I'll give you the highlights and could have been better's!!! The boy had seaweed salad and baby octopus - He loved them both, then had room for some sushi and got the tuna roll he also enjoyed it said it was Super Fresh tasting. The lil one had miso soup, white rice and an avocado roll w/cream cheese added - she enjoyed them all The eldest has the chicken teriyaki bowl and enjoyed it!!! The wifey had two types of Sushi: the California roll and the volcano roll - She lived them both and said she would get the Volcano roll every-time, it was that good!!! I got the Shrimp and crab tempura with rice - the tempura was a bit soggy as well as the crab. I don't think the oil was hot enough when it was cooked. At least my years of kitchen experience tells me that was most likely the challenge as it was good just not up to the normal tempura crunch I'm use to. We would definitely go again when in the area!!! Try it for yourself!!!

Sushiology is really good, after we order the food came out really fast. It's a little small. I wouldn't come here with a very large group. Perfect for a quick date or lunch.

Sushiology is simply a simple, down 2 Earth, homey, kind of place to eat some good "Mom" made types of food. The I-Drive location have been our "Go-To" for the past 20+ years, till we found this newly opened location, which is newer, spacious, cleaner than the other location. However, the tastes of the foods are still EXACTLY identical to the other place that we have always enjoyed. My favorite appetizer from here have always been their "Tofu Steak", which is a thick chunk of medium firmness tofu, coated in light corn starch, deep fried, then lathered in the sweetened soy sauce, YES!! Then of course, the usual Edamame, Sunomono (Seafood Salad), and tempura appetizers are also our usuals. Then onto the Sushi & Sashimi Combos can never go wrong, with an addition of a "Don" rice bowl dishes of the variety options to choose from are also a nice compliment to go with the sushi & sashimi selections. The staffs are nice, friendly, and efficient. The ambiance is quite spacious in comparison to the I-Drive location. And the pricings? Quite reasonable comparing to many other (Fake Japanese / Chinese owned) places. Glad we found this location, as we will be back many times to come!!

The Pacifica sushi platter... I am officially spoiled and cannot possibly order anything BUT this. Delicious.

This has been my go-to sushi place for many years- years before I ever moved to Orlando. I've been here COUNTLESS times, and they've NEVER gotten my order incorrect... which tells you a lot about how they run their business. The sushi is both incredible and affordable. I've ordered nearly every item on this menu- everything is excellent. My go-to items are the Sunomono, Green Salad, Sake Don, Una Don, Hurricane rolls... All are delicious. More recently, I went a little crazy on a "Treat yo'self" day... and I ordered the Pacifica sushi platter. Holy. S***. What an amazing display of sushi... ughhh. I am now too spoiled to ever order anything less than this platter! Sushiology has fulfilled my sushi dreams. I wish I could afford to have this everyday. The sushi is made so quickly. The location is small and not meant to seat many- there are only several tables... So I usually get my sushi to-go. My literal only complaint is that they tend to be closed on Mondays... and that's when I want sushi the most (since I'm less likely to want to cook on Mondays). They also cancel my Uber Eats orders when they're probably overwhelmed with orders. Love this place.

It's near the parks but out of the way and hidden enough that unless you somehow discovered this gem, you'd have no idea it was there. I genuinely believe that's this places advantage, as there's minimal seating and a very intimate and kind environment. Staff can really focus on you, get to know you and spoil you to bits. We went during a Saturday lunch 12pm and it was mostly full but quiet and relaxing. Everyone was super kind and accommodating, and they even filled up my husband's water bottle for him with filtered water as she knew we were going back to the parks. Plus... there's a bidet in the bathroom if that's your style ~ Now as for what we ordered, we actually opted to try some al a cart favorites where you check what you would like with a pen. The beef ribs were mostly fat and still very tough to chew. The chicken was woody breast, making it dry and very difficult to eat. The rice was even worse. They replaced it three times. The first two batches were hard, and the third batch was actually undercooked. The service was by far the biggest disappointment. Even though ordering is done on an iPad, they still kept forgetting items. We had to remind the staff multiple times before the food finally arrived. Every dish took 10-15 minutes or longer to arrive, yet customers are expected to finish their meal within a 90-minute time limit. This is a Japanese BBQ restaurant where the staff is simply bringing out raw meat for customers to grill at the table. There is really no reason it should take 10-15 minutes to deliver each order. To make it even more frustrating, the restaurant wasn't even busy. During our entire meal, there were only two or three other tables occupied, so it's hard to understand why the service was so slow and disorganized. To make matters worse, an 18% service charge was automatically added to the bill. I don't mind paying a service charge for good service, but charging that much when the service is this slow and disappointing feels completely unjustified. Our bill was over $210 for three people, and that didn't even include any drinks. At that price, there are many better Japanese BBQ options available. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back, and I can't recommend this place.

I sat at the bar since it was only myself dining but thankfully the All You Can Eat (AYCE) dinner still applies to that section. It was under $40 to receive the food in excess minus the drinks; drinks (even cocktails) were very affordable. My bartender Jonell was awesome with servicing me (I had the passionfruit flavored Tropical Long Island) and Laine was super sweet in checking in on me during my dining experience! Please ask for their service when you visit, best recommendations! For my first round, I had the Clam Soup, Aged Tofu, Harumaki, Green Mussels, and Eel & Octopus Roll; for specialty rolls I had the King Kai, Crunchy (hand), and Eel Cucumber roll. Acording to my receipt I also got a King Oyster Mushroom Tempura [roll]? While I don't remember ordering it, I do remember that was one of my favorites! Loved the clam soup and the green mussels! Second round included a favorite from staff which was the Yellowtail Jalapeno (I'm very glad to have ordered that one, spot on! Thanks Jenna!). I finally had enough and topped my wonderful meal with a fried cheesecake dessert inlcuded in the AYCE dinner. All in all, for under $50 party of 1, I wouldn't trade this experience for any tourist Florida dining experience. ^_^

I took a special cocktail that I forgot the name, but it was made with rice vodka. It was a sweet and fruity cocktail, and the booze feeling came afterwards. Pretty good for 16 bucks. The magical dining came with four courses. I wanted to try the seaweed salad for my first course, which was marinated nicely in soy sauce. It looked like noodles, but had a nice small crunch after every bite. My second course was nigiri sushi, which included salmon, tuna, and yellowtail. All of them were nice and fresh, and most of them melted in my mouth as well. Adding the house made soy sauce added the umami needed. The third course was the volcano roll, which was hemachi, bacon, jalapeno, and avocado in the bottom, with scallops and imitation crab on top. It was very enjoyable, especially the scallops and fish. The food was quite filling as well. Thankfully I still had room for dessert, and the ube flan was sinfully good. It tasted like an authentic flan with the ube fusion. It was better than the flan at some Mexican restaurants. The service was professional and more attentive than the last time I visited. It was pretty quick as well. The vibe still look chic and upscale. Definitely worthy of the three diamonds it got from AAA. Parking is still free and easy at the complex. Outdoor seating was available and has great views of the fountains. I am so happy that I finally got an excellent magical dining experience for 2026. I guess third time was the charm. Dragonfly had great quality of food and it was quite filling too. And it is still 40 dollars for magical dining, making this a great deal. This is definitely still a great upscale sushi restaurant in the Dr. Phillips area. Overall: A
