Walked in and was greeted with a hello. Nothing fancy. Walked up to order at the counter. Grabbed a small table. Walked back up to pick up food. Food was good, not great. Ordered spicy Krab roll, kamikaze roll, spicy tuna poke, vegetable tempura appetizer, steamed gyoza and edamame. Partner enjoyed the gyoza, poke and kamikaze roll. Krab roll was just ok. The vegetable tempura was pretty good. This doesn't compare to a true Japanese restaurant but for "quick serve" it's decent enough. Drinks offered are canned soda, beer and bottled water. This place is small and casual. Only two employees in the restaurant and your food is cooked to order. Do not feel like I waited long at all. Such a great little spot on idrive. I've been coming here for over ten years and it's stayed consistently good. It is small inside with probably about eight seats. However if you're in the area and you're looking for some sushi it's definitely a great stop. I've gotten their gigabyte a couple of times to split with a few friends. If you're looking for something new to try I would recommend trying their Takoyaki. They are a little hot when you first get them but it's certainly unique. All of the rolls are reasonably priced and the fish seems fresh. The service was fast and friendly. There were only two employees there the night I went One was taking orders and taking care of the restaurant the other one was rolling the sushi rolls and taking care of the food. Ok, please read all it because it is not only the food but first impressions of the place, staff and food. - near Vineland Outlet, so it's pretty busy. They have a sign in the parking lot that all cars will be towed if not a customer. - walk in, good ambience, very contemporary but menu is right at the entrance. They will have a smaller one when you are ordering. - the lady at the cash register did not look happy but was very amicable. - ordered: Half California, Tekka Maki, Half Salmon CC - see pictures. Got to say, not bad. Looks and tastes fresh. They do have the sushi making machine, which I think it is pretty cool since it will always provide you with the correct amount of rice per roll. The Tekka Maki, very good but was not a Tekka maki, It was diced tuna and had some sort of spicy sauce (not wasabi). When asked the chef, he said it was his bad and that he will do another one even after having eating the other one. Thought that was great customer service. The sunomono, Ok... but not sure if I would try it again, just because it had mandarin, and I am not particularly fond of mixing fruits in my food, again, that is just me. California roll and salmon cc roll where pretty good. Taste very good, the portions where spot on, all similar and uniform. (This is why I like the sushi/roll making machine). Sushiology is simply a simple, down 2 Earth, homey, kind of place to eat some good "Mom" made types of food. The I-Drive location have been our "Go-To" for the past 20+ years, till we found this newly opened location, which is newer, spacious, cleaner than the other location. However, the tastes of the foods are still EXACTLY identical to the other place that we have always enjoyed. My favorite appetizer from here have always been their "Tofu Steak", which is a thick chunk of medium firmness tofu, coated in light corn starch, deep fried, then lathered in the sweetened soy sauce, YES!! Then of course, the usual Edamame, Sunomono (Seafood Salad), and tempura appetizers are also our usuals. Then onto the Sushi & Sashimi Combos can never go wrong, with an addition of a "Don" rice bowl dishes of the variety options to choose from are also a nice compliment to go with the sushi & sashimi selections. The staffs are nice, friendly, and efficient. The ambiance is quite spacious in comparison to the I-Drive location. And the pricings? Quite reasonable comparing to many other (Fake Japanese / Chinese owned) places. Glad we found this location, as we will be back many times to come!! read more

This has been my go-to sushi place for many years- years before I ever moved to Orlando. I've been here COUNTLESS times, and they've NEVER gotten my order incorrect... which tells you a lot about how they run their business. The sushi is both incredible and affordable. I've ordered nearly every item on this menu- everything is excellent. My go-to items are the Sunomono, Green Salad, Sake Don, Una Don, Hurricane rolls... All are delicious. More recently, I went a little crazy on a "Treat yo'self" day... and I ordered the Pacifica sushi platter. Holy. S***. What an amazing display of sushi... ughhh. I am now too spoiled to ever order anything less than this platter! Sushiology has fulfilled my sushi dreams. I wish I could afford to have this everyday. The sushi is made so quickly. The location is small and not meant to seat many- there are only several tables... So I usually get my sushi to-go. My literal only complaint is that they tend to be closed on Mondays... and that's when I want sushi the most (since I'm less likely to want to cook on Mondays). We got the shrimp shumai, seasweed salad, and tuna bowl and sushi rolls. The shumai and seaweed salad were yummy, and the bowl and rolls were delicious as well. Solid and reasonably priced sushi. During covid, dining in is limited. We walked in to place our order and ordered 8 rolls in total. It took about 30 minutes for them to make our order, so next time I will definitely call ahead and order. I love that Sushiology has vegan roll options! They have a vege combo and some other vegan rolls as well. I also love that this is pretty cheap no-nonsense sushi.
