I started my search for soul food in this town years ago and thank god there's so many spots. P&D has become a regular go-to for me with good reason. The food is on point. One of the best things is that the majority of the food is ready and waiting when you enter. You'll have to wait for fried options as it's done when you order but it's always worth the wait. Service is always friendly of course. They have small and large plates and you get rice or dressing with every platter so you're getting bang for your buck. Five stars every time.

Somebody's granny is in that kitchen getting DOWN honey! I loved all the side options (rice, stuffing, greens, mac n cheese, just to name a few) and my tilapia and shrimp were seasoned and fried PERFECTLY Although skeptical at 1st, my partner thoroughly enjoyed his baked chicken and stuffing, licked that plate clean! I'm from the south so I like my cornbread a little sweeter so thats why i docked a star but I will definitely be returning. All the workers were really sweet as well. I just wish they had a dining area

As I'm on my quest for who got the best fried chicken in Florida ... I Ordered 2 orders of 3pc fried chicken wings and a side of Mac n Cheese for take out. This place is strictly for pick up n go. The full wings were fried good, but I expected a lil more flavor on the wings. I think what would bring this out a little more is some light seasoning on top of the wings once they come out the oil to drain. The Mac n cheese was ok. It didn't have as much flavor as expected. Which can be easily resolved with some more salt n pepper. It did have a great amount of cheese as you can see from the pic. I'm not sure what type of cheese was used but sharp cheddar cheese may help with adding some of the saltiness which limits having to add regular salt. I'm sure they have a lot of other great options on the menu. But today was strictly about fried chicken and the go to side that go hand n hand with fried chicken.

I love to stop and eat here. It's always such a treat! Good food, good service, good people. You have to have some good willpower to not eat here every day. Make sure your lunch break is long because you'll be like a baby later satisfied and sleepy.

Great Food, Fast Service & reasonably priced Meals. The owner was very sociable and concerned about our comfort and needs. One of our favorite Soul Food Restaurants Now

Located in Orlando, FL in the John Young Parkway and Orange Center Blvd area. It is a take out only kitchen, so don't plan to eat there. Everything we ordered was delicious! We had ox tails, turkey wings, macaroni and cheese, cabbage and collard greens combo, and okra. Everything was seasoned perfectly and for the price there was a nice amount given. We will be back!

Let me tell you this place was awesome. Great food and great service. The cost of the food was good for the quantity I got. I would highly recommend this restaurant. If you're in Orlando, FL give them a try. Can't wait to go again.

Now if you blink to fast you might miss this place but when I tell you, you would be missing a treat! I heard about it from word of mouth and actually got lost trying to find the place just drove right on by and had to make a u-turn. But the staff is friendly and will explain everything on the menu and give you samples to try if needed. It was 4 of us on my party, I got the fried pork chops with dressing (you have the choice of dressing, yellow or brown rice) plus 2 sides. I had the green beans and Mac n cheese. First the green beans are like those that your great auntie use to cook and had you assisting in the kitchen thinking you know what you are doing lol. Now those friend pork chops were everything! I'm talking hot juicy and just straight perfect. I couldn't have done them better myself. Now *clutches pearls* the sweet tea, I mean the kind of Tea your Nana use to make that basically causes diabetes because it was so much sugar but you had to keep drinking it ?!? Yes I said it that sweet tea. If nothing else stop by just to get that. You will not regret it. Until next review Kisses

Orlando Tourist and Locals - big ups to the owners of P & D! Full of hospitality and the food is BOMB!! Our family traveled from Nashville to visit the local parks. We've been on the hunt for some good soul food and luckily my husband found this gem via Google. It's a takeout only, but they have seating in the hallway as you wait. They have 5.00 specials on Tuesdays and Thursdays We ordered: fried chicken (FYE!!!) meatloaf, Mac and cheese, fried whitening, carrots (FYE!!!), some vegetables that I can't remember but it tasted like cabbage, yum! Reasonably priced, nice, AND taste good, can't beat it! If we're ever in Orlando again, we'll definitely be back! Thanks P & D - wishing you all continued success. Stay blessed!

Visiting from Houston Texas and wanted fried chicken so me the wife and kids stopped by to check it out and ended up getting much more than just fried chicken... everything thing was "bussin" from the greens, green beans, candy yams, yellow rice, corn bread... really wanted the whole menu. Was not disappointed at all... BEST PART WAS THE WELCOMING FROM ALL WORKERS. Will be going back to see what the oxtails talkin bout

My husband and I ordered carry out from here back in mid May after restaurants had reopened for dining. This is a carry out/ delivery spot, which was perfect for us because we still didn't feel comfortable eating in. All the employees were wearing masks or face shields and there was hand sanitizer at the entrance. We placed our orders and waited for the food- maybe 10- 15 minutes. I got a sweet tea (sooo delicious) and they refilled my drink before I left without me having to ask. I ordered the fried chicken meal and my husband ordered the fried pork chop (large). Sooo much food! And very reasonably priced. The fried chicken was juicy. My meal came with two sides, and we also ordered an extra side of collard greens. You also get the choice of rice or dressing (stuffing). This is awesome comfort food. The mac n cheese was yummy. The only thing I was sad about was no cornbread (I was told it came with our meals but we didn't get any... they may have ran out). Overall a great meal- lots of food and everything tasted great. The workers there were helpful. I just wish there was a way to leave a tip when you pay with card. I will definitely be back!

The restaurant has a warm rustic design with exposed wood, tall ceilings, and large windows that create an inviting atmosphere while giving you views of the surrounding Disney Springs area. It feels like a relaxed place to slow down during a busy day of shopping and exploring, especially if you are looking for a full sit-down meal instead of a quick bite. The food was the biggest highlight of my visit, with the menu focusing on hearty Southern dishes that are meant to be shared or enjoyed as a satisfying meal. The Art's Famous Fried Chicken was easily the standout, with a crispy exterior, juicy interior, and the kind of comforting flavor you expect from a well-executed fried chicken dish. The sides helped make the meal even better, especially the creamy mac and cheese, cheddar cheese drop biscuits, and sweet potato mash. Everything felt generous in portion size, so it is definitely the type of restaurant where arriving hungry is the right move. The drink menu adds another unique part of the experience, especially with the selection of moonshine-based cocktails. The Moonshine Flyte and fruit-infused moonshine drinks offer something different from a typical restaurant bar menu and pair well with the heavier Southern dishes. The bar area also has a lively atmosphere, making it a good option if you want to stop by for a drink or a smaller snack without committing to a full dining experience. Since Homecomin' is one of the more popular restaurants at Disney Springs, planning ahead is important. During busy lunch and dinner hours, getting a table without a reservation can be difficult, and advance dining reservations are usually the best way to avoid a long wait. The service during my visit was friendly and attentive, with the staff doing a good job managing the busy dining room while keeping the meal moving at a comfortable pace. Overall, Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' is one of the strongest table-service options at Disney Springs for a filling and memorable meal. The combination of flavorful Southern comfort food, generous portions, welcoming atmosphere, and creative moonshine drinks makes it a restaurant worth planning around. It offers a dining experience that feels distinct from typical theme park food while still fitting perfectly into a Disney Springs visit.

I've been wondering for a while where to get some good stick to your ribs so food, so when my wife told us that Nikki's Place reached out to her to come try some authentic soul food, I had to join her. We had to make sure to get an array of different things to try as much as possible. So we ordered.. smothered pork chops, fried catfish and shrimp, lemon butter chicken wings, red rice, Collard greens, Lima beans, black eyed peas, cornbread, candied yams, mac and cheese, and some onion fries.. with some sweet tea. I want to tell you, every bite I took had me closing my eyes and smiling. My only complaint was the lima beans were a little bit salty, but when I ate it with everything else it didn't really matter. The lemon butter fried chicken wings were absolutely amazing. I have not tasted anything like that in my life. You can't go there and not get them. You need these wings. I'd also like to say that all the sides are meat-free , so vegetarians come get some . We ate till we were full, and we had enough to take home as well. We took an order of bread pudding home for dessert and that was absolutely delicious too. Overall absolutely great food. The staff took care of us very well. Highly recommended!

Let's focus on the positives first: the atmosphere is incredibly fun and the live music Saturday night was a perfect touch at the bar. There were plenty of fun activities for the kids and there was an all-you-can-eat buffet for the kids with fried chicken and shrimp, macaroni and cheese, fries, and red velvet cupcakes. $25 is a deal if your child would chow down on shrimp, but it might not be a great deal if your child is usually full after four bites. Our server was absolutely fantastic, friendly and very attentive. We started off the dinner with some fantastic deviled eggs and a lemon cello cocktail. I ordered the shrimp and grits and was really disappointed with the tiny, overcooked shrimp and crawfish that accompanied the slightly bland grits. The shrimp on the kids buffet was at least four times larger than the sad little shrimp in my dish. I think the sausage was cut into smaller chunks just so it wouldn't be so obvious how small the shrimp was. My husband didn't love his heirloom tomato salad and said the Wagyu appetizer was disgusting. Dessert was mediocre. The macarons that accompanied my crème brûlée were stale and chewy. This is a fun spot for a drink and appetizer, but I would skip eating dinner at Highball & Harvest.
