As a new customer I was a little disappointed. I paid $20 for the small tilapia meal with yellow rice and string beans. It came with cornbread so I didn't have to pay extra for that. The food was mid tbh. The fish was fried hard and it was dry. The rice was also cooked hard, not soft at all. String beans were pretty decent. The cornbread was very good but literally a bite of cornbread that's how small it was. The best thing was the drink (strawberry passion fruit lemonade) and the cornbread. If you do want to come, I recommend getting the oxtails, the mac & cheese, sweet yams, or the jerk chicken pasta. My friends got those and they liked it. Customer service was lacking. I wouldn't recommend you come honestly. Plenty of parking and pretty affordable but the small tilapia is 1 piece of a small piece of tilapia. Keep this in mind if you do come!

Congratulations on the expansion ! The owners of Caribbean Sunshine Bakery have created a soul Food restaurant. I was able to try 2 meals: stewed chicken meal and a smothered pork chop meal. Both came with 2 sides and a cornbread muffin. The Mac and cheese was fiya !!!

This is the most excellent restaurant. Clean and friendly. Well priced with excellent portions. We had the oxtail and the Curry goat. That came with rice and peas, cabbage plantains, and a dumpling. Portion size is stupendous and everyone is so very very friendly. We washed it all down with a red stripe and a Guinness.

I wanted to give a 4 rating based on the tenderness of the Oxtails but the young lady (red net on her head) attitude was a little stank. I asked what's the difference between the small and large dinners the 1st chick who took my order said "um 1 is larger than the other" I'm like no crap Sherlock. Normally you're told how many servings but ok, whatever. I then asked for hot sauce or butter (for my cornbread) and red hairnet said No! The lil guy that was helping them at the bar jumped in suggested I try a spicey sauce made of cabbage and peppers and it was very tasty.

Jerk Chicken, Rice & Peas..... Also fried plantains......

Jerk chicken, rice and peas was fireeeee!! A little on the spicy side but delicious!! They were out of oxtail and cornbread. Would love to try that next time!!

Working at the office today called for my favorite go to soul food place!…read more I ordered me and my assistant the smothered pork chop dinner with 2 sides , corn bread and two slices of cake. I ordered through door dash and it was delivered hot and fresh within 30 minutes. It's enough for left overs and my cake for later this evening as my treat lol. I absolutely love this place and I have already placed a large catering order for my family reunion and baby shower coming up.

I am not sure if she adds pork in the meat mix but it is delicious and tender soft. The gravy that comes with it is delicious. The bread pudding is also one of the best you will have from a scratch kitchen. I have seen caucasians come here and grab food because I hear them say its the best meatloaf they had - to the cooking in general reminds them of their southern family member cooking. This day the black eyed peas was a popular side choice. I never tried it but it was a popular one. I spoke to Ms. Kim and her grandson this day just to have a conversation - Ms. Kim introduced herself to me with her First Name - She asked me if I was this ethnicity and she was right LOL she then stated to me she is part Thailand. Her grandson was also nice. I was sharing to him my past experience as a Yelp Diner at this establishment and both Ms. Kim and her grandson were not fond of the experience I had and then Ms. Kim adviced next time that happens at any food establishment to just get a full refund back. They were shocked of the experience I had. It was a pleasure talking to them both them hearing me vent it out about my dining experience from another establishment. On a weekday around close to 12pm this place can get a line for food. By far Ms. Kim's place is the best soul food IMO in Orlando and the portions are hefty! Next time you stop by - its nice to chit chat with Ms. Kim and her grandson who is pretty much the cashier.

Ordering online was simple, and we received a notification that our food was ready before we even arrived, making pickup quick and convenient. The restaurant was clean, and we were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in. Since it was our first visit, they even treated us to complimentary drinks, sauces, and cake, which was a nice surprise. Great food, excellent customer service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!

I hadn't been to a Licking restaurant since…read more2020 in Miami and at that time, I had a horrible experience but, I remember the blueberry lemonade and the food being good so we stopped in. There are a lot of younger ladies that work the front of the house and they're all extremely polite. However, there was no one at the host's stand when we came in but they could see us from where they were behind the counter. They could have waived us over to check in there but they didn't. After standing there and realizing they weren't coming over, we went up to the counter. They said it would be a 45 minute wait. There was already a customer waiting on a togo order that was over and hour so, I started to get nervous that this was going to be a long experience. It only took us about 20 minutes to be seated and the food came over right away. That was definitely a pleasant surprise. We both ordered the baked chicken, with green beans and I had the veggie rice. I appreciated the extra piece of chicken they gave me but you could tell the chicken was old. The green beans were very salty and the rice was okay. You definitely get your money's worth in food. I would just return earlier in the day to get fresh chicken.
