I'm sad to write this because I've taken my car here a few times, and I felt their service was great before. This last oil change & check up in September, I was told I had a few things that needed replacing. My cars over 10 years old, so sure that makes sense. I suggested perhaps my cars AC motor wasn't that great, because hardly any air was blowing out of the vents. P&T told me yep, blower motor needs to be replaced! Among about 5 other estimates they sent me home with for things needing repairs. So I start saving, as I'm tight on funds. Finally in November I've saved enough to get done what I thought needed repairs - only for a second opinion to tell me my blower motor works great, I just needed to replace the cabin filter. They do the work, and sure enough my AC is blowing just like it used to, for a FRACTION of what P&T quoted me. The guy at the new auto shop was shaking his head in disbelief P&T said I needed to replace the whole thing. Silly me I guess for not just checking my air filters, but what's more is I've lost trust in this auto shop. I'm not sure if this is just a one off instance where someone tried to be shady and slide an extra charge in, but I would be wary of P&T giving you multiple quotes for things they claim need replacing. read more

Came here from a recommendation at the lexus dealership for a diagnosis on my suspension and ac compressor, Was greeted with friendly service and lots of notes taken regarding my issue. When i returned to pick up the vehicle I was told my front lower control arms and sway bar links had to be replaced and was quoted around $2500 for the entire job with non oem parts. I refused the quote due to the fact my independent mechanic had quoted me $600 for the same job with the same parts they were going to use. Pretty standard for a shop but no issues there. However regarding my ac issue where my rpm would fluctuate they had stated it was due to the fact i was low on freon. So without my consent and without contacting me first they refilled the freon on the ac and stated everything was fine. They showed me at the shop that the idle was fine after they replaced the freon so i was happy to pay yet they charged me $178 just to refill some freon i could get at autozone. Not even 20 minutes into me driving home the issue starts again and a week later my independent mechanic lets me know it's a failing compressor and not just low on freon. So i payed $178 for someone to fill up my car with freon and tell me i had failing suspension components awesome. But they didn't even do that properly either because the components they recommended i replace had nothing to do with the issues i was experiencing. Shop seems nice on the outside but I really don't think they care about finding the actual solution to your problem rather than shooting a parts cannon at a car they don't want to take the time to properly diagnose. Don't fall for the scam like me and find yourself a good independent mechanic. Never coming back read more

My 1949 Chevy need some TLC and after the tow Paul called me to tell me my current engine was a no-go. I thought I found a good suitable replacement in San Diego and purchased it, transported it ...and it too gave up the ghost within 24 hours of running fine. Paul gave me a shopping list and pulled the original head and sent it off to be machined with some of the new valve seats......third time was the charm. So glad I broke down in Murrieta and found my way to P & T! So it all started on a drive down to SD from LV. My car was acting up and giving me a bunch of electrical issues and I decided to take it to a mechanic in SD. At the mechanic they cleared all the codes and we decided to switch out my power steering pump since its been leaking for a loooong time and figured maybe that would make the car happy. The mechanic couldn't find any other issues for the codes so we decided to fix the pump and see what codes would pop up after if any. I drove my car around SD for two days to make sure it was drivable and had no issues. Come Monday i leave SD early for LV and had no issues till i hit Murrieta. As i was driving my power steering gave out COMPLETELY! The first thing i did was maneuver off the highway, mind you i was in the fast lane! As soon as i exited the highway i got on yelp and found P & T Auto. When i got to P & T auto i asked Paul if he could diagnose my car too see if any codes came up.... I THOUGHT it was an electrical issue. Was i ever wrong! Paul popped the hood and the drive belt was dislodged, the pulley was loose and the bolt holding the pulley in place was missing! The mechanic in SD didn't tighten the bolt completely so it FELL OFF! While i was in shock Paul immediately jumped on the phone and started looking for parts and even gave me the part numbers so that I could try to find them. In addition he was really helpful in coming up with different plans of actual to fix this situation. While we were doing this i called the shop in SD who forgot to tighten the bold and cause all this. The owner of that shop found the parts and contacted P & T directly to fix my car. The SD mechanic drove up to P & T with all the parts and Paul had his mechanics immediately fix my car. As i was waiting for all this mess to get straightened out Paul made sure i was comfortable. He gave me recommendations for a few restaurants in the area and even offered to drive me to the mall or movies to kill the time. I opted for drink at a local Mexican restaurant then came back and relaxed in his waiting room and watched some tv. Words cannot express how grateful i am to Paul and his staff. They're attitude about my situation eased my concerns and stress. It's nice to know that there are people in the world that still care and step up to help others. About a year ago during a heat wave my A/C on my SUV went out and it was just the fan blowing hot air. I had to get this fixed asap so I went to P and T because it was very close to my job. I went in and asked if they would give me a diagnosis on what was wrong and how much it would cost to fix it. He charged me $30 for an estimate, I left my SUV there and I went back to work. An hour later he called and said he had "bad news" and that it would cost me $1,000 to fix my compressor that went out. I did not have $1,000 and was skeptical that this guy was taking advantage of a young women who knows nothing about auto mechanics. So I looked in the yellow pages and went to get a 2nd opinion after work that day. I took it to a place on Murrieta Rd. that specializes in A/C repair that advertised Free estimates. I sat there while this mechanic tested the compressor and said it was working fine! He continued to test everything and then saw a loose wire hanging. He fixed the wire in front of me and had me start the car. A/C FIXED!! He charged me $50 to fix my A/C. I was so thankful for their honesty and integrity! At this point I was FURIOUS at P&T. SO I went back there to get my money back for the WRONG diagnosis. P&T gave me my $30 back when I told them that it just a loose wire and they were going to charge me $1,000. I will NEVER go back to this place! I felt so taken advantage of for being a woman. Shame on Mechanics who do this. read more

I recommend taking your car here before the dealership because they care about their customers. I have taken my car here for a simple diagnosis that the dealership was going to charge $140 for. I paided for the mechanical work in full and over 50% for paint and body . I'm leaving this review to warn customers not to take there car to p and t !!! 9 months later my car is not done!!! The mechanical work was not done properly. My car came in running and now does not even start! I had to take my car to another shop to complete everything P and T messed up on my car.
