    Kung Pao Shrimp

Do you want bubbles in your birthday cake? If so, this is the place for you! The marketing person for this idea needs to stick to amusement parks or night clubs. Not a restaurant! This isn't a joke. Each birthday cake celebration is greeted by an employee blowing bubbles out of a wand onto your dinner table! It looks pretty tacky and doesn't fit with the restaurant's ambiance. All jokes aside, the kung pao shrimp was delicious. The honey chicken, not so much. And the crispy green beans are still on point after all these years of being on the menu. I think we will be back. But I won't let them know we are celebrating any birthdays. Ha!

Had a wonderful Valentine's Day lunch here. Got fed like a king. Did order an alcohol but the drinks were good. Kinda tarts but I like tart. The food kept coming and coming. We did the Valentine's Day special. It was more than enough. The vide was very chill inside, calm before the storm style. Service was good! He took good care of us and got us all we needed. Wish we could have stayed longer.

P.F. Chang's in Bakersfield and their $17.99 specials Appetizer :Egg flower soup. Entree 1: Chang's Spicy Chicken over white rice. Entree 2: Orange Chicken over fried rice. Food was tasty; both entrees were served very quickly, but the food was warm at best, and portions were big kid-size, not adult-size. Overall review: disappointed with the food -- good deal, but didn't compare to the always fresh Panda Express meals. The main reason I stopped going to P.F. Changs 10 years ago was because of mediocrity, and giving them a chance in 2025, the mediocrity of the food is the reason I won't go back. I mentioned the mediocrity of the food and the portions to my wife, and she agreed. This place was empty when we went on a Saturday evening, and that's pretty much unheard of for most restaurants in Bakersfield. After dinner, when I drove by the Panda Express, the drive-thru was full. I'm not quite sure what P.F. Changs should do, but serving the customer warm chicken and rice when there are only five or six couples in the whole restaurant isn't the best business practice to keep them coming in. The staff on all levels--from the greeter, server, waiter, and bartender--were all outstanding. Just to compare, a hot three-item combo at Panda Express will run you about $14, and the food is always good, and so much easier. A sit-down dinner at a beautiful establishment like P.F. Chang's for under $20 is a great price point; however, the food has to be at least good. Overall: 3 out of 5.

We headed to PF Chang's for a 5 pm dinner with good friends. It wasn't busy We were seated no waiting in a comfortable booth dining area is very nice perfect lighting . We all had our favorites already decided and after a couple tasty cocktails our entrees were brought out, perfect timing 4 different dinners at PF Changs we're all excellent we finished up before the crowds around 6:30 great evening Merry Christmas

This was our 1st visit and we enjoyed our meal. Service was amazing as we were seated right away and then greeted by our waiter. We got on this visit the chef family meal for 2. Service was outstanding and food was good. The hot and sour soup was really delicious and didn't get over powered with the ginger that was in it. We enjoyed the pork dumplings. Plenty of flavor and seasoned perfectly. Beef and broccoli was good too. Meat was tender and the broccoli was cooked just right. If you get this dish as your entree it will have an up charge. Chang's spicy chicken was really good too. I loved this dish. The chef's feast came with your choice of white or brown and for a up charge you can upgrade to fried rice. The fried rice was a little mushy and needs a little more flavoring but overall we enjoyed our food. It was pretty noisy due to it being the dinner rush but it wasn't loud that you couldn't hear your conversations. They also had bar specials till 7pm with $10 appetizers. We are definitely coming back to try those.

Came here for a quick happy hour. It was 5pm midweek and surprised that there were hardly any customers. If I remember correctly, there was a couple of ladies in the big dining room. There was an employee at the far end of the restaurant in a chef's coat that was just standing around chatting with my server. They were running a Mother's Day special this week. I chose the Sparkling Paloma. It was a subtle drink with a slight tang. For apps, I kept it easy and simple. I chose the crab rangoon and the steamed dumplings. Server said that the kitchen ran out of dumplings so they had to make fresh one, and so I was patient. Deep fried Rangoon came out first. It would have been nice to be asked if I wanted the sweet spicy sauce on the side. The sauce on the plate was sloppy but soaked the rangoons and completely lost their crisp texture. I waited more than 15 minutes for the dumplings. It finally came but again, only to find them sitting on top of the chili garlic sauce. They must've rushed through making the dumplings as some did not hold their shape and was opening at the seams. P.F. Chang's is not really a place suited for happy hour. Their menu has not changed and more suited for an a la carte dinner option. There's BJ's across the way and Yardhouse is but a few yards away.

I forget about P.F. Chang's honestly. We saw a commercial for happy hour; and we made it a point to go. The bar area is a good size; not too crowded if you go early; patio seating also available. They have decent drinks for $5 and appetizers for $5 as well; since this check in; the appetizer price has increased to $10; but it's all day everyday. Service is good. Food comes out pretty fast and drinks are good. Cheers!

Went to have dinner here, it had been a long while. I was very glad to return to see that the quality of food is wonderful. The hostess acknowledged and seated us promptly and it was just a few minutes after being seated our beverage order was taken. The waitstaff took our order and the food was brought out in a timely manner. This was an enjoyable experience, the restaurant is clean, they bus tables quickly and the food was wonderful. I loved everything I ordered and plan on returning again in the very near future.

The food is overpriced, small portions and it took a while before we were served. I do not recommend I'd rather go to Panda Express.

Warm and soothing with tender wantons & vegetables in as rich broth. We had the sweet and crunchy walnut shrimp, so mouthwatering! We also offered the dumplings in red sauce. My companion ordered the red sauce on the side. I actually prefer the dipping sauce. So we both got to have it our way. The place is like your standard Chinese takeout restaurant, where you have premade dishes, ready to be served with white rice, fried rice, or chow mein noodles. The menu has standard items such as orange chicken, general, chicken, chicken, teriyaki, honey, walnut, shrimp, honey, chicken, mushroom chicken, and so. They also offer egg rolls, cream, cheese, wontons, and soup. What stands out about this place is that they offer a catering menu, unlike some of the other homegrown Chinese takeout places. The restaurant itself is very clean although had a strong smell of Fabuloso and the tables in the floors were a bit sticky. They have one singular bathroom and it was clean. The person who took my order was very nice, friendly, and professional. She was very eager to give me a taste of the entrées in case I wasn't sure what I wanted to eat and I thought that was very cool. I purchased a bowl with half fried rice and half chow mein, and one entrée. For my entrée chose the honey shrimp. my meal came with a fountain drink so that was good. The entrée is $9.99 however, because I got the shrimp, it was a little bit extra. I wish I had gone when the IG people were there doing their reel... Because my food didn't taste anything like how they described it. The honey shrimp was very tasty and the shrimp was cooked perfectly however, every now and then I would get a huge puffy piece. I was not impressed with the fried rice nor the chow mein. I was expecting it to have a wok-seared flavor, like how it was described by the couple doing the reel on IG. For me, it was very plain, in fact, at one point, I thought the chow mein noodles were spaghetti noodles. While the meal satisfied my hunger, since it was dinner time, I likely will not be going back... Sorry, peeps I still have not found good Chinese food in Bakersfield. I hope you have a different experience, and if you do, enjoy!
