For some reason, this particular franchise location feels "less than", and I can't quite put my finger on it. Our service was good. Both appetizers and soup were good. Two out of the three dinners were good (the meat in mine was definitely burned before it was sauced). They only carry an 11 oz Asahi beer, but the bill states it's a 22oz bottle. Ive been to several P.f. chang's over the years and have to give this one 4 for food -exactly as expected, good choices, good portions. My partner and i shared the chic lettuce wraps -always good and consistent and enough to be a meal on its own. We also shared the fire cracker shrimp -just as expected and easily enough for two. The cocktails were large -i had vodka tonic (delicious) and double the portion of what i would get in Charlotte for double the price. I disagree with the comments on service. We give service a 5 -we were welcomed upon entry, seated promptly in a nice booth away from other diners and provided attentive knowledgeable service by Donald -closing out a long day to a relaxed and enjoyable service and dining. I can recommend this location as a nice dining experience and just as expected for a P.f. chang's food and ambiance. read more

My husband and I love coming her for a nice quiet dinner. Tonight we tried the new Freaky Friday drinks and were delightfully surprised. A nice change from getting one of their boba or other NA drinks. Ryan, our wonderful waiter said we were the first to order them from him. What a shame! Our entrees were delicious as usual. We try to visit once a month and usually have Ryan as our waiter. He's a delight. PF Chang's while it is a chain restaurant, it is among the upper end of nicer chain restaurants to dine at. No illusions to this being main land Chinese food, but it is darn tasty American inspired Chinese food. Latest visit I had an old fashioned with Japanese whisky that was smoked and a plate of brown rice and Chinese eggland. The sauce was tasty and I would definitely eat again. I had an incredible experience with the team at P.F. Chang's after my Uber Eats driver stole my meal and Uber offered absolutely no help resolving the issue. Frustrated, I called the restaurant directly, and that's when things turned around. I spoke with Mariah, who was kind, understanding, and immediately offered to have my entire order remade. I told her I would pick it up myself, and she couldn't have been more accommodating. As I was driving there, Dan, the manager, called me personally and stayed on the phone until I found the restaurant--talk about going above and beyond. When I arrived, the whole staff was incredibly apologetic, even though none of this was their fault. To my surprise, they even greeted me with a gift card as an apology for the inconvenience. This level of customer service is rare. Mariah and Dan showed what true hospitality looks like, and P.F. Chang's should be proud to have employees who genuinely care about their customers. Meanwhile, Uber Eats should be ashamed of the lack of support from their end. P.F. Chang's earned a loyal customer today. Food (2/5): Being used to legit Chinese food in NYC, perhaps the Americanized versions like PF chang's isn't cutting it any more. From what I observed and tasted the dishes aren't well presented, are oily and too salty, and doesn't have great flavors. For example, I got the kung Pao chicken and it was not seasoned well and the quality of the chicken felt low. Additionally, the noodles you had to pay for and tasted worse than ramen dry noodles. Venue (4/5): Overall the restaurant was clean and spacious especially for something at an airport. There was plenty of seating and looked reasonably nice and decorated. This is not my first review, but it has been a while since my last. With lots and lots of visits here, it has been consistently great!! The service is top-notch!! Matt, Lori, Mike and more, sorry to leave people out, they are incredible! Personable and so kind and friendly! How does the food live up to the service? It does with total deliciousness! Our "go-to's"- Kung Pao chicken with a honey chicken coating. The famous shrimp with lobster sauce, the pepper steak and one of their most popular dishes, Mongolian beef! We also enjoy the shrimp dumplings and their dynamite roll among many others. Guess, I like a lot here at PF Changs and I do. I know it's a national chain restaurant, but I support those too. They really do deliver a great experience! With the super people that work here, it's like saying hi to friends, and the food, more than good, so tasty! Like the atmosphere too. Great airport stop. I was on a long delay with Delta and stopped here. Great service at the bar. I had the Kung Pow Chicken entree and the string beans app. Both were excellent. The chicken was crunchy, had a little kick (I love spicy), and just over all great flavors. The Chili Garlic Green Beans were excellent. Loved the crunch and spice. I couldn't get enough. Fantastic food and an all around great experience! The service is a tad bit slow though. I've been here a few times with people from work because it's right down the road. I usually get the Orange Chicken with fried rice and Wonton soup (pictured in the review). I wish the portions were a bit bigger, but the food is still very tasty. From a business lunch hour standpoint, it's a bit tough to sit down and eat here. I haven't been here in a few years, always liked the food though. This time I came with my boyfriend, who has never been before. We were very hungry and tried a few things. First, our server Maya, was awesome, very sweet and knowledgeable about the menu. We started with lettuce wraps and pork dumplings, both were delicious and I forgot to take picture of lettuce wraps. We also ordered Chang's spicy chicken, which could have been a little spicier and was coated and fried, I wasn't expecting that, but it was really good. PF's had been my favorite mid-scale chain restaurant for years. I had a taste for their flare and stopped by my local restaurant for lunch. I have no complaints about PF's, I've frequented this one for years. I decided to try things I hadn't tried before. I ordered the Coconut Cooler which is a super tasty coconut milk/coconut water cocktail. The menu offers an option with rum...I opted for it. The drink was both exotic and tantalizing. For eats I had pan-fried shrimp dumplings, I love sum dim sum! These were perfectly paired with a sweet and tangy chili sauce. I also had a lobster avocado roll. This combination is my all time favorite roll as the two are my favorite foods. Service was a bit slow, even my drink took a while. I usually experience fast courteous service here, and although it seemed to take a little longer today, I didn't mind too much. This particular location has pretty much always been hit or miss for me. The host/hostess is usually pleasant. Wait staff varies as does the quality of the food. In my most recent experience; I ordered carry out in the middle of the day and all 6 spots marked for carry out were taken. There was hardly anyone even in the restaurant and nobody else was getting carry out. I mentioned to one of the employees that all of the carry out parking spots were taken. She didn't really care. Which isn't a big deal, just inconvenient! On to the food.... the potstickers (which I've had at other locations) were HORRIBLE! They were so overcooked they were like little crispy hockey pucks. We almost drove back to the restaurant to return them since we couldn't eat them. But hey, my fortune cookie told me that I would have good news in the mail. And my friend's cookie told him he would have a visit from a loved one. The rest of the food tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. I had a craving for "fake" Chinese food and it was raining and gloomy outside so I got the food delivered after some google searching. I ordered my usual fare and it tasted great! The only complain I have is that the Mongolian Beef was a bit watery for some reason which it's not usually like that. I did add broccoli to it so I'm not sure if the water came from the veggy? Everything else hit the spot. The ribs were crunchy and sweet with a kick, the salt and pepper shrimp was crispy with a unique spicy kick to it. The green beans tasted Szechuan like...the hot and sour soup tasted like how it's supposed to. I added hot mustard to it to give it a bit more of a kick. The delivery was quick, less than an hour from order to delivery to midtown Detroit. We had lunch catered and it was great! Everything was delivered hot and on time with cute little tent cards that had the names of the items handwritten on them. The proteins were the most popular - honey crispy chicken coming in first and pepper steak in second. The curry and pad Thai dishes were beautiful and flavorful; full of fresh veggies. The Chang's chicken wraps were popular, but because we also ordered the Mandarin salad, no one touched the lettuce leaves, just the filing. All employees are nice and attentive. In airports, it is common to find non-original menus, with a few un-imaginative dishes, and stereotyped branding and decoration. Right? The lunch pairings are a good deal. I ordered the chicken lettuce wraps from the first column and asked to have won ton soup for my second which wasn't on the list but it was the same price as egg drop. That was no problem. The won ton soup was okay. I like my soup a bit hotter temperature wise though. We had to get up and go get our soy sauce and paper napkins for under our drinks. Later, we had to ask for chopsticks. We had to have the guy redo the checks (we'd asked for separate ones when we sat down). And later we had to dig out our own pen to sign the bills, as the one we were given skipped. Oh, did I mention we were seated at the bar which wasn't very busy? The lettuce wraps were tasty. The edges of the lettuce were a little sad so I just tore off those parts. But the flavor was fine. Just wish they carried hoisin sauce in house. I asked, but all they have is a spicy plum sauce made with pineapple (I'm allergic plus it's way too spicy -- I had him taste it). It definitely needs something sweet to counterpoint the flavor of the mix you wrap into the lettuce leaves. So it's good. Just don't come here expecting "real" Chinese food. The hostess was nice and efficient enough, aside from seating my family at an absolutely filthy table. The floor had trash, food scraps, and was an absolute disaster. The booth had left over noodles, grease, and was disgusting. When I asked a waitress for something to wipe the booth down with she told me "yea one second" and then walked away and didn't come back. Lol, I was so excited to eat the main entree. I forgot to take pics. With that said from start to finish this meal was so good. I am definitely stuffed after eating here. We had a reservation and sat immediately. The staff was super friendly, and the server welcomed. My husband got the organic real agave margarita, and it was super good. Havent had an original margarita that good in a while. We then got the calamari, and the lettuce wraps both extremely good and refreshing. 10/10. The egg drop soup was calming on the stomach, and a cup is more like a bowl portion at any normal restaurant. It's big. We then ordered the Mongolian beef and fried rice and Kung poa chicken, and both were big portions and super flavorful. We didn't have room for dessert. We were both in a food coma. Overall, our bill was $136. That was for everything and gave a 20% tip, so $26 bucks. Totaling $162. Definitely will be back. It's more of an upscale Asian experience with the ambiance a bit fancy but also super chill. read more
