Mothers Day 2022... my wife, daughter and myself enjoyed our visit and meal at PF Chang's in Lansing, MI. My wife is allergic to black ground pepper and our server Jordan went out of his way to make sure her meal did not have black pepper in it. Also the manager Shawn (or Sean) made a point to stop over and check on us and to see if my wife's food was safe and to her liking. I graduated Friday from MSU (via zoom) and I thought let me come out to quarantine to grab something special for myself to celebrate. I ordered when I got there and the food took about 25 minutes, which wasn't bad because I thought "WOW, im about to eat a luxury meal and not ramen noodles, its worth the wait." H*LL no. 1. I ordered the honey chicken platter that was I believe $15.50 I didn't even get 15 pieces of mini chicken. Im thinking its going to be a large platter no, its very small. BUT again, im trying to be cool because maybe it taste exquisite. It tasted like plastic old chicken, one piece was so cold I had to spit out. The sauce was way too sugary and I tasted no honey. 2. I also ordered the shrimp fried rice, and that was around $12.00. The shrimps were not done, the rice was still very hard and it seems like they rushed making my entire meal. Also some of the rice in the middle was still WHITE and wasn't mixed in or brown like fried rice usually is. At this point my entire appetite is spoiled. and my day is ruined. 3. I told the server how small my portion sizes looked before I paid, because I looked at all of my food before I drove off. She told me It was nothing she could do...... Super disappointed in our visit a few days ago. I plan to give the manager a call. We usually love the food when we go to PF Chang's in our Chicago location, and always look forward to trying different locations. While the service was good, the food was not. The ginger chicken with broccoli was okay, the broccoli was barely blanched and dry. It came with a side of brown rice which was terrible! I actually felt sorry for it , it was so awful I couldn't eat it! Others had friend rice, which is an extra charge with a dinner meal, and that was very bland. We ordered lettuce wraps and they were good, but they served it with the butt end of stubby lettuce! Orange chicken is always a sure thing, right? Not when we were there. I was in the area and just needed somewhere to eat (I should have driven around the outdoor mall a little more since there are a variety of other options very close by). The place was empty & still waited 20 minutes to get seated on a Saturday at 3:45pm. Crab wontons used to be amazing here, they changed recipe & cook style it seems because these were dry & gritty yuck. The exterior of the wontons was dusted in a white powder (maybee flower) and air fried I believe ...just no good. The spicy plum sauce used to also be amazing was orange colored and tasted like vinegar yuck. The Chinese buffets have better wontons than these. The dinner menu says "family style dishes" such as Chang's spicy chicken and chicken fried rice we ordered we couldnt Believe how small the portions have gotten. The changes spicy chicken was half the size of usual. I'm not sure if there was a stingy person in the kitchen or if this is the new norm portions. $51.88 before tip for crab wonton appetizer (6 wontons), 1 Chang's spicy chicken &1chicken fried rice. Let me just say that the experience my wife and I had this evening dining in was far less than average. Not only was the server poorly trained which I blame the training staff for... When our meal came out it was being auctioned to other tables. Normally not the biggest of annoyances, but during our Covid times the last thing I want to see is people gleaming over our food! When I address these issues after dinner to the manager on duty she seemed less empathetic than expected. Our family of 5 tried to enjoy a birthday dinner last night but finally left after waiting 2 1/2 hours for our food. Most other tables gave up and left with nothing. They finally managed to pack our food for takeout, evidently that was the only thing they were doing all evening. We understand being short handed but this was far beyond that. I had an overall good experience here. Went for a late-ish dinner (about 8:30pm) and I felt that the service was not as good as it could have been. I recognize that it was getting to be the end of this night, but the last customer deserves the same level of attention as the first table of the night. The server's tone made me feel like we were a burden. It seemed like they had friends a few table over that they were visiting with which took away from our experience. We were not offered water refills despite the fact that we were nearly empty and were drinking cocktails, my friend ordered brown rice and she got white rice, and we were not given fortune cookies with our bills. I have been here in the past and the food has always been consistently good, so I'm chalking the service experience this time up to a 'fluke'. read more

While I understand it is a busy Mother's Day.... please plan accordingly. Dinner reservations for 12 people at 4pm was just too much for your server. Our group had to help put our tables together, server should have had a 2nd server or food runner helping her. Everything took forever, over 2hrs for apps and entrees. Checked outside to make sure my neighbors house wasn't on fire. Returned to my food and found out it was coming from the fried rice. Had chicken in both meals, between both meals I had about 6 small bite size pieces of chicken. The cooks dropped the ball on this one. The organic agave margarita always gets me right with just one. The pork dumplings don't disappoint. Not of my new favorite appetizers is the crab wontons! Ate here again recently after we hadn't been for a while. New menu was good with some changes. We always order the egg drop soup and it came with way more onions than my fiancé like so the manager came out and the kitchen made us a special batch of soup for us with no onion and didn't charge us for the soup either. I ordered vegetable fried rice for my 10 year old and spent an extra dollar on more eggs. I got the exact opposite. There were almost no eggs and my daughter hated the rice. The rest of the food was poorly cooked and not worth the money. We also ordered a chocolate cake. It was very dry and not that good. I ate here while traveling on business. I loved how quiet this restaurant was in comparison to other PF Chang's. It was busy but the bar was pretty open and I sat down at the bar for dinner. Then I realized the bar is right by the front door and when it's 30 degrees outside you feel it when sitting at the bar. Service was fine - no complaints at all - and I left a great trip. My appetizer was the cauliflower and it was cauliflower in a really cheap tasting sauce and it was soggy. I ordered budda delight without rice. The tofu was barely edible and the vegetables were not edible. The house cabranet was harsh and given their buying power I expected a much nicer selection. This was a terrible experience unfortunately. Twenty years ago PF Chang's was the place to be. I won't go back again read more

Have enjoyed this place since it's open. However the place is starting to show its age. Even though it's simply lit you can still see some of the sanitation slips in the bathroom and dust on the lighting fixtures. Unfortunately it's carrying over into daily sanitation items such as the menus and even old food on a sticky table during a not very busy time. Food is still tasty. Waiter was nice and carried good conversation. Food came out timely and was beautifully prepared. Friend ordered a drink from bar and it was made promptly. This has to be my favorite P.F. Chang's location! The service, food, atmosphere, and layout is by far the best. SERVICE: I've been here countless times for birthdays, dinners with the significant other, dinners with friends, large group dinners, dinners with my parents...and all I've enjoyed the service! The staff here was great on my occasions and would always allow us to customize a meal if we wanted. FOOD: I felt the food was prepared here well and everything always tasted great. I fell in love with the lettuce wraps here and was introduced to Sesame Chicken which I haven't found to be done in other locations. ATMOSPHERE: I like the dim lighting, decorations and the arrangement of the tables. I love that the booths are up higher and the remainder of the tables are put in such a way you don't feel crowded. Can't find any decent restaurants to go to, and although this is a chain, it serves cleaned, modified Asian fusion food. I've always liked going to this PF Changs - it's busy every day, but the food is great and service is friendly and quick. One of those chains that doesn't really feel like a chain, you know? Anyway, while I've always liked it, something that happened last week rocketed this PF Changs into the 5 star category. A friend of our family was very ill, and staying in a nearby hospital on Christmas Eve. My mom wanted to bring food to his loved ones, who were keeping vigil with him. They were hungry, tired, and sad of course, so Mom wanted to give them a hand. When she heard they liked Chinese food, she called PF Changs and asked if they could help put together a mini-feast for his family. After helping choose a varied menu, the manager on the phone offered to throw in two extra entrees for free, since it was Christmas after all and a time to be kind to others. Touched, Mom went to go pick up the food. There was a lot of it and a waitress helped Mom carry it to the car. When Mom took our her card to pay, the manager told her to put it away, and said the entire meal would be on the house. It was their gift to the man's family, they just wanted to lift their spirits and make their lives a little easier. Such generosity is not something you see often these days, especially directed at total strangers. We went back to the restaurant two nights later, to have a big meal and thank everyone. The manager told us that the local operating partner and several of the staff members really try to step up and treat people exceptionally when an opportunity arises. The food, of course, is very good and I'd recommend the restaurant on that alone. That evening we enjoyed the Wok-Charred Beef (with sauce so tasty I ate mushrooms covered in it - and I hate mushrooms), Chengdu Spiced Lamb, and Singapore Street Noodles. Saved just enough room for the Banana Spring Rolls. I could go into more detail about that, but I honestly think their kindness is enough reason to support them. This is clearly a business that cares about their community, and I look forward to frequenting this restaurant more than ever as a result. read more

On my phone, so short and sweet, everyone knows PF Changs, nothing special, I have always enjoyed the East Towne Center location off of Lake Lansing road.....until recently. Honestly, you are kidding yourself if you think the Chinese-American food is worth the price! Most people realize, you are paying a premium for perceived "upscale" chinese food and atmosphere. Recently, the girlfriend and I went during a Tuesday night rush. Long story short, from the start, we were rushed....the waiter came over after only a few minutes and said, I kid you not, "do you two need help navigating the menu" aka...."hurry up, im trying to max out my tips." I politely said we need more time, 3 min later like a robot, our waiter comes back and says the same thing...WTF! I manage hundreds of clients daily while my girlfriend is an ER nurse, I assured Tad or whatever his name was that the menu has yet to stump us.....he.must not of gotten the.point. He rushed us all the way up to the bill. He was pleasant and attentive, just very quick to get us out. it ruined our night out. We made the 30 mile drive over to Lansing to have a nice, RELAXING night out. We decided as soon as we got out of there, that we were never going to another PF Changs again. read more

My favorite P.F. Chang's location of all time. Best service of any location I've visited HANDS DOWN. This place got me stuck on P.F. Chang's and I have been disappointed in all subsequent visits to other locations. The lighting is dim, the drinks are amazing, the service is friendly, and the food is prepared FAST. Yes, it's a bit pricey (lunch bowls are probably your best bet if you're looking for the best bang for your buck). No, the food probably isn't that authentic. But if you like P.F. Chang's, I can highly recommend this one. read more
