We had a 6 PM reservation and arrived on time and promptly seated. It took an hour before our order was taken. The waitress stated she didn't know if our party was all there, however, she never once asked. It then took an hour to get our food, the waitress stated that the kitchen was extremely slammed while we could see that the restaurant was not even half full. Some plates were hot and some were cold. It took another hour just to get our bill split. The waitress did not split the order correctly twice. Two groups in our party of six paid with card and one group paid in cash. In total we spent three hours just trying to have dinner. Minutes after we left, we received a fairly rude call stating that part of our group did not pay. We told the waitress that two groups paid with a card and one with cash, and the cash was with the receipt at the end of the table. The waitress, then proceeded to say that they have security cameras, so they will know if the money was taken, or if the party Just left without paying. We have given P.F. Chang's several chances and have not had luck. This was, however, the worst dining experience we have ever had, and the last time that we will ever go to P.F. Chang's. read more

Have always been a fan of P.F. Chang's no matter where I lived. This one is awesome and I have always had amazing food. During covid, they have really stepped up and if you enter the restaurant you will see they have removed many tables and spacing is awesome. I prefer to eat outside and that experience has gone well! Waitress was tentative and I appreciate them so much, I know wearing masks in the hot weather isn't fun. I like the QR code's for the menu. I usually don't go to places like P.F. Chang's because it's a place that serves upscale versions of Chinese take out food with some authentic dishes... but I crave the Chang's Lettuce Wraps once in a while. The atmosphere and decor here is nice but the entrees are a little pricey and the portions are small. The entrees we ordered today were Crispy Honey Chicken ($15) and Beef a la Sichuan ($16). We also ordered a side of Chili-Garlic Green Beans. When you see the word Sichuan on the menu, you're expecting the dish to be pretty spicy. The flavor of the Beef a la Sichuan was good but it wasn't spicy. I was expecting the red peppers and whole peppercorns to make my tongue sizzle but I was disappointed when it tasted like they only added black pepper to it. The Chili-Garlic Green Beans was also supposed to be spicy but I didn't taste a thing. The overall taste, price and portion of the green beans were good though. Another thing I noticed is that it seems like P.F. Chang is becoming a catch all Asian food place. Their main focus is Chinese dishes but they also serve Sushi and Bibimbaq now. I'm not sure if I'll ever order those but when I do return in the future, I think I'll stick to the Lettuce Wraps and some of their sides like the Long Life Noodles, Green Beans and Brussels Sprouts. read more

I have visited PF Changs several times prior to my (negative) experience yesterday and have always had a pleasant visit. However, that was not the case Thursday evening. My boyfriend and I decided to stop at PF Changs and get some dinner before a movie we had planned on seeing. We arrived to the restaurant approximately an hour before the movie started; it worked out perfect because the movie theatre is right next door, in the same complex as PF Changs. Upon arriving to the restaurant, our experience started pleasant. The host seated us promptly and our server came over and took our drink order. After arriving with our drinks, it did take our server a while to come back to take our order. However, once she did, I ordered the "Changs Spicy Chicken" (one of my favorite, "go to" dishes). We waited for our food to come out and when it did, my initial reaction was that of surprise. The chicken that was presented before me did look not like the chicken I had gotten in the past; in fact, it looked incredibly overcooked, dry, and had no sauce on several of the pieces. The meal was not appealing at all. When the server came back, I informed her of the chicken and she offered to take it back for a new dish. Once she arrived back, she apologized and reassured me that the chicken should not have looked/been served like that and that they were undergoing a new cooking staff. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. It did take some time for the new dish to come out. Once it did, my chicken looked slightly better, but was still not great. It was covered a bit more in sauce, but there were still pieces that did not have much sauce on them and the chicken was still overcooked/tough looking. I picked at my plate a bit, but, honestly, it just was not appeasing to eat. I ended up eating my rice and some of the noodle dish my dinner date ordered. Although it was not our server's fault and I am aware of that, she could have been a touch more attentive. It appeared as though the restaurant was understaffed, so I was understanding of that. However, I was not offered a drink refill and therefore remained out of a beverage during the second half of my meal. The server did offer to bring more rice out (due to having to wait so long for my food again), but she must have forgot about her offer, because she never brought any more. To top off our unpleasant experience, we ended up missing our movie, due to the extra time spent having to wait. We went there mostly for convenience (with the movies being so close by) but we also went there because in the past, PF Changs has been very enjoyable. However, for the price we paid for below average food, I will definitely think twice about coming here for a while. There are several other Asian Gourmet dining options around that are better, consistently and cheaper (for instance, Charlie Kangs) PF Changs used to be on the top of the list, but unless something changes, unfortunately that may not be the case anymore. read more

Whoever made these dumplings needs to be fired. It's pretty obvious that they just wanted them to appear cooked from the outside. They are 100% raw. If I could give zero stars I would. The food is exquisite!!! After you eat here, you will never want to eat at those crappy Asian Buffets or Asian fast food places. The meal you get here is plentiful and delicious. If you have never been here it's worth the drive. We drive for an hour just to eat here and go home. When you get here ask to sit in Janelle's table section. She treats you better than family. It hurts me to post this cause I've always been a fan but tonight's meal was bad. Really bad. Quality of the food was horrible. Fried wontons were burned bad. I wanna know who would look at something that was burned like this and decide to serve it to a customer? Was it because it was a takeout? Did someone else look at it and check for quality? I hope not because then they just don't care or the standards are not there anymore. I wouldn't expect this from Panda Express let alone PF Chang's at $50 for two entrees, cup of soup and an appetizer. Lo mein noodles were super bland and my spicy chicken was a collection of mini chicken crumbs. White rice was all dried out and my hotel was just around the corner. No napkins in my takeout bag. C'mon! I had to ask for sauces from the hostess because the "takeout specialist" just handed me my bag and disappeared. Honestly I should have just went to Panda Express. But the cup of hot and sour soup was still on point so they get two stars. Sad that it has fallen like this. This is why people are abandoning chain restaurants now. read more

My wife and I stopped in Lansing, Michigan on our way home to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan from a Thanksgiving dinner with family and friends in Ohio. After some thought - and looking at Yelp for Asian restaurants near our hotel - we decided to eat at a P. F. Chang's, a restaurant chain at which we had eaten several times in Dublin, Ohio when I would go to OSU for cancer treatments. It was a FANTASTIC decision. Even though they were somewhat short staffed - I assume because of COVID concerns - and we had no reservation, we were seated immediately. And, just a short time after being seated and given menus, our waiter came to ask what we would like to drink. He answered several questions we had about possible selections from the menu before getting us our beverages. I can not say enough good about our waiter, Darren. He was very friendly and very informative about the menu. And, even though he was covering several tables, he kept watch on our table, keeping our water glasses full and coming by every so often to see if there was anything that we needed. Best of all in this regard, we NEVER felt rushed or imposed on. He was the epitome of good waitstaff: friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, helpful, and, perhaps most importantly, non-intrusive - though always available when needed. As to the restaurant itself: the menu is extensive and, based on the items that we purchased - two appetizers, two entrees, and a soup (much of which we brought back to our hotel to eat tomorrow) - all the food is delicious and excellently prepared. The prices are extremely reasonable, and the portions are incredible. For example, I bought Hot and Sour Soup, and got a bowl rather than just a cup. What arrived was easily the largest bowl of soup that I ever received in a restaurant. Darren brought a large cup with the bowl of soup for me to eat out of. After filling the large cup twice, I still had half the soup left for breakfast tomorrow. At most restaurants, a bowl is about twice the size of a cup; this bowl was at least four times as large. Every member of the waitstaff that I saw were also very hardworking and kept close watch on their tables, just as Darren did with ours. And, the manager was there on the floor as well. Dressed in a sharp suit and tie, he moved about the floor, fixing any problems or issues that arose, talking directly to the customers about their concerns. I appreciated that the manager was out front with the staff and customers, rather than hiding out in the back, leaving all the heavy lifting to the staff. I made a point of speaking with him before we left, mentioning how much we enjoyed the food and what a GREAT job Darren had done - and that his efforts were much appreciated as well. In short then, I recommend this restaurant without any possible reservation. The food and the prices were great; and, if possible, the service - from waitstaff to manager - was even better. As usual I just had the worst service at PF Chang's on Lake Lansing Rd., Lansing MI. My online order was 20 minutes late and the women sitting next to me was 30 minutes late. The receptionist was completely rude. When I asked if she thought being 20 minutes late was OK, she responded that being late was normal and I shouldn't work about it. Really????? If I wouldn't have kept pestering her to check on my food, it easily could have been another 20 minutes. I also sat there long enough to see you loose customers. Apparently they had everyone working for graduation. Great makes sense, but didn't have anyone for Monday? Really? A little overtime isn't gong to kill you. Overtime would have been a lot less than the revenue from 10 people I saw walk out of an empty restaurant because they didn't want to wait. If you want this restaurant to survive you need to change management and attitude. I am by far not the only person with a complaint. Too bad because the food is good. I'm going to post this on Yelp and everywhere else. We all understand shortages of food and employees. It's how you handle the situation. Make sure that the pickup time on online orders is correct. I arrived 5 minutes after my order was supposed to be done per the online order. Raw broccoli in an Asian inspired dish is inedible. There are almost no edible food choices in the Lansing area. Mothers Day 2022... my wife, daughter and myself enjoyed our visit and meal at PF Chang's in Lansing, MI. My wife is allergic to black ground pepper and our server Jordan went out of his way to make sure her meal did not have black pepper in it. Also the manager Shawn (or Sean) made a point to stop over and check on us and to see if my wife's food was safe and to her liking.
